I can’t imagine how you can name a museum after a man but not house any artifacts that actually belonged to him. I knew this museum wasn’t 100% dedicated to DaVinci, but I expected to see some authentic artwork of his. Everything is a replica or reproduction of his art. Everything else in the museum is pretty boring. Lots of effort was put into the history of metalworking and the introduction of radio waves and telephones… it was so bland. This might be an okay trip to make if you are with a tour guide who can speak on things outside of what you’d read on the plaques. Also, don’t buy tickets on viator- the ticket counter advised me that I overpayed for my ticket, but the ticket was non refundable

The museum was very interesting. It was easy to navigate between exhibits. CGI videos showing the War machines and other starionary models in action would be a nice addition.
Excellent museum with rich exhibition
Get there right when it opens because it gets crowded Go to the Leonardo area first Don't forget the train and boat exhibit
This site is a scam. Purchased ticked and all I received was a email saying this is a voucher, NO TICKETS were provided. When I arrived at the museum that had no idea what this voucher was. Wouldn’t honor it they did let me purchase tickets cheaper the ViaScam. Don’t buy tickets from these crooks. Just go to the museum in person pay less and go see a great attraction. I would give them 0 stars but 1 is the minimum. Save your money and the headache and avoid these this site
It was a beautiful piece of art and I loved the description of the apostles. Very realistic and I had no idea how big it is.
Had a very good day got there at11am and didnt leave till 5pm could of stayed longer x a good day out x
Had a fabulous few hours in there looking at everything. Its an amazing museum and definitely worth the visit
We really enjoyed the Leonardo da Vinci Science Museum. It was much bigger than we expected, and my children especially loved all the interactive experiences in the space area. The transport and trains were another highlight. The only downside was that the air conditioning was quite inconsistent—some areas were lovely and cool, while others were very hot. It would also be great to have more places throughout the museum to buy drinks or refill water bottles, rather than only near the exit. We spent around two hours there and saw plenty, but you could definitely spend much longer exploring everything. Overall, a really enjoyable and interesting museum for the whole family!
Considering how much is in this museum, I’d happily say it’s worth the price, no official tour guide with me but the map available on your phone and the markers on the ground make it very easy to navigate. You should give yourself plenty of time as there is a lot to see and read. The cafe at the end was perfectly placed as a drink and light snack was ideal after that
A very well laid out museum of science and technology. Great way to see Italys industrial history.
We visited the Leonardo da Vinci Science Museum with our three kids (12, 10, and 8) on our first day in Milan. Even jet-lagged, the family found plenty to love — the museum does a great job mixing Leonardo’s inventions and models with hands-on science exhibits that kept the kids engaged. It’s the perfect indoor activity, and big enough to fill a few hours without wearing everyone out. Easy mobile ticketing made entry simple. Would definitely recommend for families visiting Milan!
Best thing to do in Milan! My 6 year old granddaughter had a blast! So kid friendly and fun for me too.
Lots of very interesting things for all ages. Took us 2 and a half hours to walk the whole place. One of our top things we did here.
A hidden gem of a museum for all ages. Went for the Leonardo da Vinci part, but enjoyed the rest of it as well. Excellent place to take the kids on a hot afternoon
I came here to see the tall ship Ebe was. Not exactly straight forward to find. Go into the museum and down the corridor past a few rooms of sewing machines and a ‘men of food’ exhibit. Then go down some stairs, or take the lift, to level 0 and exit the museum. Across the pathway is a aircraft hanger looking building full of trains, go thorough that (or around if you like the sun) and across another pathway behind it is a tall building, the Air And Sea Transportation Pavilion. Here finally is the ship, in a purpose built dry dock at the centre of the pavilion. There’s space to walk all around the sides, unfortunately the two ramps onto the ship (just before the steps to the quarterdeck port and starboard) are blocked by gates with ‘no access’ signs. Asking staff there, they do not allow visitors on the ship. She is a beautiful ship to look at, and even from this level the ship is positioned low enough that her deck is about level with the floor, so you get a good view across the whole deck (only the higher quarterdeck isn’t fully visible). You can then walk up stairs (a very long, shallow slope with elongated steps that even I could manage) up to the second floor which sits around the same level as the mainsail yard. The yards on the mainmast are slightly angled so the mainsail yard does extend over the second floor on the starboard side with only rope barriers separating you and the yard. From the second floor you get amazing birds-eye views of the whole ship.
Very interesting, but also very long. Some great things to see and find out about, not just about Leonardo.
Great opportunity to see the most affordable version of The Last Supper. Great museum, if only the air conditioning worked. A little confusing to follow path. Wish there was more on Leonardo da Vinci; he definitely deserves his own museum.
Enjoy a visit to the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci. The entrance was easy because of the pre-booked tickets and I also got a chance to explore on my own. It was interesting to see the different wooden models made according to the design of Leonardo da Vinci. However, some of the exhibits seemed to me to be very static and informative.... Although written guides are helpful, the experience could be more enjoyable if there were more multimedia or interactive presentations. Good for those interested in history and technology, but may not be equally attractive to everyone.
An amazing place with lots of varied exhibits. For more extensive information on Leonardo da Vinci it is best to go to Leonardo3 Museum
There isn’t much to see. Limited displays for Michelangelo.
Well worth a visit, lots to see participle you have any interest in heavy industry Much more than just da Vinci
Nerded out for hours! A must visit!!the Leonardo di Vinci exhibit was so much more then we expected!!
Not a great experience. We thought it was completely dedicated to Leonardo's work.
Very interesting to hear about the last supper painting and how it has been restored several times over centuries
Interesting museum science and technology museum that covers many areas and also includes some of Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks and sketches.
It was amazing, very well planned, he was an incredible man to produce such an abundance of inventions.
The museum was wonderful and you should absolutely go there. I would not use Viator for this one. We bought this at the last minute, and when the experience hit our account. There was no voucher linked in it. It was sent via email, but we dis not get it in time. We use Viator a lot and we're really disappointed but this. Asked for refund since we could not use it. No refunds. Very sad. My advice, just go to the museum front desk and they will have tickets available.
We had an excellent visit. I appreciated the ability to book ahead of time. Be sure to look for discounts for young adults and seniors. The exhibits were great. the tour starts with a history of technology. Personally move quickly though this section as the remaining exhibits are more interesting; we struggled to get though to the end before closing. A actual moon rock was a real treat to see!
Terrible - Da Vinci Exhibit under construction No guide book as promised for exhibit that I paid for
NOT family friendly at all. My two older kids went in with my husbsnd and i stayed behind at the entrance with a sleeping 1 year old and they kicked me out. I had to wait outside in the cold with my 1 year old while my husband was inside with the other children. We have been to thousunds of museums and this has never happened. They said I had to buy 2 extra tickets if I wanted to sit in the lobby…. Then i asked if i could charge my phone to call my husband and the lady in the lobby said no. Worst ,,family activity” experience we have had (and we travel ALOT!)
Njoyed our visit to Leonardo Museum of Science and Technology. Very affordable priced tickets. Very interesting displays etc. Worth a visit :) :)
This was by far one of the most amazing excursions we did in Milan. For less than 10 euro per person, my husband and I spent about 3 hours looking at all the amazing inventions, artifacts and clever technologies that seemed beyond the times. There are 3 buildings to the museum, one that contained full sized trains and another with boats and aircraft of all kinds. Lots of walking, but yellow arrows help you not miss anything. From the fresco paintings, to the impact of our population and growth, it has something for everyone. Highly recommend.
It was very easy to get our tickets and get inside. We loved seeing the brilliance of Di Vinci and the other science exhibits they had.
Truly amazing museum that I wholeheartedly recommend. There are so many things to see and so many different themes — something interesting for both adults and kids. You’ll need about 1.5–2 hours to see it, depending on your interest and time; even more if you read everything thoroughly. The prices are more than affordable for what you get, and if you’re under 26 the ticket is only €7.50. Highly recommended! ☺️
not what i expected. not much of leonardo's work other than manuscripts. better museum is in the center of Milan
Do not schedule the 4pm slot. We got there around 3:30 and they told us when we got there they closed at 5pm, which we knew, but right around 4:30 a gentlemen started telling everyone to leave. Other than that everything was great, just get there early.
Lots to see-overwhelming! However there are Suggested Routes and Fast Routes to follow clearly marked on floor. Great value!! Worth the visit as you can self guide at your own pace and liking.
Wonderfully curated exhibit with numerous interactive items. Loved the videos. Gorgeous models of Leonardo’s work, along with many examples of his writings. Truly gives the viewer an idea of the scope of his accomplishments and contributions made in his lifetime.
An absolutely amazing museum. Just make sure you allow enough time to see everything. Plan on at least three or four hours if not more.
Fascinating museum and very complete with the history of technology. Many, many rooms. An area with hands-on activities for children. Plan to spend many hours to thoroughly enjoy each room and study the items on display. Each room is well organized.
If you enjoy history, this is for you. The museum has many historical transportations like trains, planes, and submarines or sailboats. It also shows how the world has evolved around technology like TV, refrigerator, stovetop, etc. All in all, lots for you to read and learn about various technological advances. We spent about 3+ hours at the museum.
The ticket to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology is very affordable, making it accessible to everyone. The museum itself is massive, and you’re subtly guided by floor stickers that suggest different routes depending on whether you want a quick visit or the full experience. The first section may seem a little mundane at first, but don’t let that fool you — you’re immediately greeted by a beautifully preserved, old-fashioned pharmacy. Trust the process! As you venture further, you’re rewarded with Leonardo’s masterpieces — his stunning sketches brought to life, especially the winged inventions that showcase his genius. One of the best parts of the museum is the number of interactive displays. There are countless screens to engage with, allowing you to read, play, and learn. The astronomy section is particularly exciting, where you can explore satellites, space launches, and more. The second and third buildings are absolutely breathtaking. You’ll come across Milan’s iconic traditional trams, antique trains, and steam locomotives. And then — a whole old boat! The third building also features real airplanes and boats suspended in a dramatic display. Overall, this is one of the most dynamic and engaging museums I’ve ever visited. A must-see in Milan for science and history lovers alike.
Very interesting. Bigger than í first thought! Recommend. Especially the Leonardo section, space and air and water. Engines too :)
Great spot to take your family - especially good for anyone interested in foundational technology and science. Learned a lot about DaVinci and other Italian inventors, Italian industries.
This tour is presented as a museum primarily focused on Leonardo da Vinci. While there is a floor dedicated to his works, the majority of the museum is centered on the history of the Industrial Revolution and science and technology in general, which we found only mildly interesting. It’s likely a better fit for younger visitors or those looking for a broad overview of science and technological advancements throughout history. We had originally thought we were getting tickets to the Leonardo3 Museum located near the Galleria. If your main interest is Leonardo da Vinci, that museum offers a more focused experience on the “World of Leonardo da Vinci,” which is what we were hoping to see.
The booking amount was listed as $s. Coming via an AUS site, was expecting AUD, got charged in USD. Not impressed didn't attend
Website difficult to navigate. App was worse. Repeated efforts to sign up for App failed. Was able to get one of two tickets I tried to purchase. It turned out this was not needed. Tickets were available at the venue.
The visit to the museum was an amazing learning experience. The displays and models were very good and the explanation on each display was very clear. The museum had a good flow.
So many interesting aspects of science and technology here with lots of great artifacts and perfect English translations! Really enjoyable, we spent two hours and only covered 1/2 of the content. Usually we race through but it was engaging and interesting
