The people who talked to us treated us horrible. There was no good thing about it. The guide never showed up and they didnt do anything about it. The man who we talked to was rude and disrespectful to me and to my 80 year old mother and 17 year old daughter. The man waiting there asked for money to give us the tickets that we had booked with the tour.

The financial pain is entirely yours. Costs a fortune and at check-in there’s another €22 per person to actually access the tour. Ridiculous and shocking cost-wise all in. On the bright side, our guide was excellent; the only part of the experience that didn’t feel like we were taken advantage of. Please do your due diligence before booking this tour.
The meeting point was very confusing. Lots of different vendors on site and had no interest in telling me if I was in the right place. We were there 10 mins early and waited 20 mins for an 11:30 tour. We got so frustrated that we ended up buying tickets ourselves and went into the Duomo. While in line for the rooftop lift our tour guide called. The actual guided tour she said starts at 12:15. Even tho our voucher said 11:30. Very confusing, very frustrated. We ended up doing our own thing.
We arrived at the tour location meet up point with no tour director. I called and was told that the tour for our scheduled time had been cancelled, however we could go at 3 pm instead of our 11:30 tour time.Fortunately we were able to change to a later time that day. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I have no complaints about our tour director. I only gave it 3 stars because we were not notified that our tour was cancelled and I had to reach out past the scheduled tour time to find out that it had been cancelled.
The price doesn't include the tickets, so when you meet you'll have to pay for the tickets (€22 additional per person). Out of the 1 hr 45 min "tour", you are told to go to the museum for 1 hr 15 mins. Therefore you are paying for the convenience of having someone else buy the tickets and give you a short (30 min) tour. In my opinion this is not worth it. If the entry tickets were included it would be Ok value, but as it is there price is too high for what you are getting
In general it was a good tour. The guide was knowledgeable and the Duomo is an amazing place, I’ve been there before. Still, there were two big issues. First, the headsets were terrible. They had constant static and often we couldn’t hear anything at all. Second, the rooftop was closed, which was the part of the tour that I really wanted to see. I wish that they had mentioned that the rooftop may be periodically closed, and that the rooftop was never intended to be a guided tour, but an unguided on-your-own experience. To me, it certainly wasn’t marketed that way or communicated (unless I misread something when I booked it). In fact, it sounds like the rooftop was open earlier and a couple we met were told to come back in the afternoon and join our tour since they wanted to see the rooftop. Had I known it was not included in the tour (and required a separate ticket), I would have done just that and skipped this tour entirely and walked it on my own.
A shambles. Luckily we arrived early as they had no sign and hard to locate. Tour was delayed an hour. We paid 45 e each for guided tour. We had to pay an additional 26e for entry and rooftop access. The tickets we got said 10 e. This did not include rooftop access which they didn't tell us until end of tour. They say they will refund 16 e each. The tour itself was very poor. Worst tour I have ever been on . Radios didn't work properly and his English was very difficult to understand when you could catch a word or two. I cannot recommend this company
Great informative tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour
Last curator got longer tour and escorted to rooftop. Here had to go on own to rooftop- no skip the line. The skip the line was only for the first duomo line which was not so long to begin with and had to buy own ticket on top of tour fee. Total rip off. Only thing was nice that they allowed me to move tour by 2 hrs. Despite showing cancellation anytime. Do not waste your money
Nice overview of the Duomo. The guide was friendly and informative. A little on the brief side, so it seemed expensive for what it was.
terrible-we were told to meet at 11:45 for a 12:00 tour -tour did not start until 1245 -Guide was 45 minutes late-by the time we got into the building, it was an over an hour after the tour should've started-tickets to the actual Duomo and the rooftop were extra... very very little value in what we paid for-would be better off buying a ticket and getting the audio that comes with it right from the Duomo
A must do experience while in Milan.Roof top a must do.
I read the reviews beforehand and knew you walked around mostly by yourself. What you’re really paying for is the convenience of access to the front of the line and having someone else secure your ticket. You still have to pay for the ticket on top of the tour. My tour was free because of a credit and I prefer to do most of it alone but for what you get it is overpriced. You’re basically paying for convenience. The tour part was maybe 30 minutes and nothing I couldn’t google. Nice guide though
Fantastic tour and tour guide (Mauricio); incredible history. We took the elevator up then climbed additional stairs to get to the highest level. Historic heat wave for a few days, narrow steps and challenging for me physically but worth it. Would not recommend attempting in the hot summer like we did if your health/ legs are compromised. From the top I counted 211 steps down to floor level. We earned our gelato today 😊
I would never, ever sign up to do anything with TripWeavers. Impatient, rude, condescending guide who just walked away from us.
Wonderful the tour guide was fabulous and very knowkedgeable! the Duomo is amazing. I would highly recommend this tour ! Take the elevator up but it is high and takes awhile to get down the stairs
The guide was a very nice guy. We had to search to find him and he didn’t do much. He sold tickets to Duomo and said go to the museum for about 40 minutes. Then when we came back he brought us through the cathedral for about 45 minutes which was ok. He then said goodbye so we went up the elevator to top of cathedral
It was great getting last minute ticket and tour. Tour guide was quite friendly and knowledgeable The description on the web said it included the cost to enter the cathedral. But after you booked in the details, it said it didn’t I have booked these type of tours before, and I never had it where you have to pay again to get into the facility Also, the guy was super knowledgeable about history, but it was really short chat advertised as an hour. I think it was 30 minutes and cost an extra €26. For a total of €86 for 30 minutes.
Mis-sold is all I can say. Understood the fact that we had to spend additional money to get into the Duomo so it was £54 each plus 26 euros each in total. The guide was considerate & knowledgable however when it is billed as a 2 hour event (with rooftop access at your leisure - i.e. not guided which we understood from the description, we literally only had the guide for a total of 20-25 mins - including the queue time to get in to the building. It was such a whistle-stop tour of the main sights & history everyone on the tour felt short-changed when he abruptly left us behind the altar. There were 5 people on the tour - Australian couple and a single US traveller with us 2 Brits. The Duomo itself & the roof access was good. It was the guided bit which was not worth the money.
Whilst the tour guide was very informative, felt the price was high as you still had to purchase the actual admission ticket/s when you met them.
We felt this was slightly misleading. Our guided tour was set for 3:00 and was intended to be two hours. We arrived and were given tickets to access the roof and told to be back at 4:30 for the tour inside the duomo. The interior tour was guided and lasted approximately 40 minutes. We anticipated having a guide for the duration. We could also access the museum with the same ticket but that was not allotted in the two hour time and it was closed once we finished at 5.
We booked a tour for 3 people to the Duomo in Milan, including the lift option, for 65 euro each (booking # 1400214691). When we arrived, we were told by Mario of Tour Weavers that the price we paid did not include the actual ticket and that we would need to pay about an additional 27 euro (about) per person to actually get into the Duomo and that this price would not include the lift. Mario said that he does not include the ticket in the price to reduce the commission paid to Viator. I feel that the service was misrepresented and request a full refund of not only this purchase but also of the purchase of the Sforza Castle booking # 1400213189.
The tour guide Marius is great, very nice and honest. My tour was booked at 11 am, I arrived one hour early , and want visiting the Duomo Museum, I showed Museum staff that I booked a tour, if my tour ticket could be used for visiting the Museum, the staff said I had to buy a ticket to enter it, the tour I booked didn’t include to visit the Museum, Thus I bought a comb ticket for Duomo and Museum ( Museum ticket is not sold separately) at €15. Came out from the Museum, at tour meeting point, I met Marius and told him I’ve bought a ticket to visit the Museum and have been. He said our tour ticket could include visiting the Museum, he refunded me €20 note straightaway and got my comb ticket, he said he would get the ticket refunded. Because I didn’t have any cash with me, couldn’t give him €5 change. He said it’s fine, even he lost €5, he wanted to make his customers happy. Overall the tour was wonderful. Marius’s introduction to the Duomo history was well presented and easy to follow, He’a nice and engaging, all members in the same tour were took care of.
Definitley worth seeing! Beautiful and interesting. Glad we got the lift ride pass as there are a lot of steps!
The only positive about the tour was that we had a timed entry. The tour itself was uninspired. He was on the phone trying to get a late attendee in. It was distracting. The roof access was the best part. I also was surprised that we had to pay for the entrance ticket on the spot to the tour guy. So it was an additional 26 euro. The whole thing was kinda sketchy.
Amazing experience, they’ve were really polite and explaining everything with always with a smile. Always precise with the answers on the questions given, if u want to feel the Italian beauty and vibes, a suggest you absolutely this company!!
They mislead you. Tickets were for museum tour and when met the broker he adviced we needed to pay 50€ per person to go inside the Duomo.
To avoid lines to go up to and down from the roof terraces, do the tour in the morning. The guided tour is very interesting and informative.
Wonderful experience, glad we went into the cathedral itself and saw how beautiful it was. We stayed in there for around an hour. We sat for a while and just took in the spectacular architecture of the cathedral. The details were amazing. Admission fee: reasonably priced, I think it was €10 per person (to go inside the cathedral) the rooftop option would have been a different price.
It was a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Duomo. One thing I didn't read beforehand was the the tour doesn't include the admission to the cathedral. So expect a €25 per-person charge. Which is fine and understandable.
Great experience, very fun guide , its a must do when in Milan , got in quickly and rooftops has a great view
We know from them a lot of information for Doumo and the tour was so great
Total rip off. The guide was a nice guy but from start to finish it will last just over 30 mins. You pay a lot of money for this. Our initial tour was cancelled and we had to rebook which cost us even more than the original booking. And you still have to pay extra to get in and climb to the rooftop which was the whole idea of going there.
Our guide didn’t show up. Instead we got a call in response to our email asking where the guide was. We were offered a different date which didn’t work for us. We were sent our admission tickets but didn’t have the benefit of a guided tour. For that we received a partial refund. It was the first time in all of our travels that the guide was a no show. Overall this was a very disappointing experience.
The tour operator cancelled 45 minutes before and still has not refunded my money Do not use this tour company. We bought tickets at the Cathedral and did a self guided tour. The Cathedral is beautiful.
The guide difficult to find, had no sign. Instructions to meet next to green souvenir shop that..oh…used to be green. In the end had to ask another guide where to find him, and he was late. Paid for elevator, gave us stairs tickets, had to go find him to change them. Commentary good, rooftop visit mainly scaffolding, not really worth it
The Duomo Milan is the most beautiful, awe inspiring structure I have e ever seen. The scale is amazing, with 3400 spires and stained glass windows it’s super impressive
The tour was excellent. I was unaware of this beautiful church until this time. The history is amazing.
The Duomo is magnificet , our guide was very good , happy to have booked the tour with TourWeavers , totaly recomend them , money well spent.
Meeting point was difficult to find. Tour inside Duomo was 30 minutes at best . Rather short. Definitely not worth $150 for two. Don’t think I’d do a tour with a guide , plus had to pay 52 euro for lift/ admission Total of over $230 for two I’d just go through box office instead and get admission only. The terrace is 5minutes l, mostly closed and minimal access.
We went on a Sunday morning and sections of the Duomo are closed to tours as masses are being held. There is no guided tour of the rooftop, so be aware. The tour price does not include admission to the church, you have to buy the entrance fee separately. It was difficult to find the specific meeting point as the square around the cathedral is enormous and locating the spot referenced in the description is too vague; a photo in the instructions would help.
Tour was scheduled at 11:00 which didn’t start till 12:30 lasted 20 minutes. I do not recommend this tour. When I asked the Manager why they scheduled it for 11:00 and didn’t start till 12:30, he was very rude not helpful.
Our guide was wonderful in every aspect. We skipped the line and waited almost no time to get in. The tour had head phones to listen to our guide while we were going through the duomo. Wouldn’t do it any other way.
Look no further, this is the most efficient and knowledgeable tour we did during our trip to Europe. Guide was extremely clear and friendly but most importantly was on time and very well organized. One more thing that tells me this is a professional service, I got this reserved to a day that I couldn’t get to Milan due to transportation issues and the Manager text me and offer us a spot two days later honoring my reservation without an issue. Only good people does that, always thankful.
A very informative tour with a guide who is willing to answer questions! Finding the meeting spot can be a bit tricky. But call the number given and you will be guided.
Our guide was lovely. So knowledgeable. Seeing the Duomo from the outside is incredible, but the tour inside is a must. And take the stairs to the roof. I am 64. It’s 160 + 90 steps and very doable. You do not need the lift. And the views!
The meeting point provided was elusive. The gift shop you operated in front of, didn't even know who you were nor did he know the address. The Viator sign was tucked away behind the gift shop door. The start time posted was 11:00 am, but actual time was 11:30 am. The order of the itinerary was not in the order posted. How do you purchase a lift ticket vs a stair ticket?
Don't bother paying to climb to the top it was a wate of money as you could not see all around Milan as there was scaffolding up
Vendor canceled the tour 6 min after the tour supposed start. Not showing up but by email i saw 30 min later. They should canceled 24 hours prior - the same policy for us and them. On the top everyone was drenched from the rain and the guide didn't show up. Unprofessional and disrespectful to us.
Bring water. The heat is immense. If you book the rooftop make sure to get the package with the elevator. Climbing all the stairs combined with the heat will get you. Otherwise WOW!!! What a beautiful site to see, our guide was full of facts and information. Definitely would book again. I reached out to the guide prior to arrival as we were running late from Venice, they were wonderful about allowing us to join the next group.
