Informative guide. For the money I would recommend, read the fine print as entry not included, and neither was the museum as it is closed. So only 1 hr tour of the Duomo. Which we enjoyed.
Weekend break The hotel Positives 10/10 Location 10/10 Roof top view 7/10 Room Broken off tap in Bathroom dirt around the floors and corners. Limited TV channels Poor quality bed linen and pillows Bit faded Breakfast 3/10 very basic hostel would serve bettter. Super market sliced cheese/ ham/ yogurt/ bread slice/ No toaster Staff couldnt replace the products quick enough. Small containers for scrambled egg running out/ poor quality bacon fatty/ Hot dog slices not real sausages/ no beans/ no mushroom/ no fried egg/ Poached egg/ Tiny bowels so u dont put to much ceral in. All the catering tricks. Forget smoked salmon or avacardo ORIZZONTI Restaurant 3/10 nice views Starter 1 x Smoked egg €28.00 !!! You could have a Gordon Ramsey Waguy Burger, aged cheese, smoked bacon, mayo and fries for £26 in the best roof top restaurant in London. Or a overpriced egg in Milan ! The reat of the menu overpriced and minute portions. No meats Steak/ Veal/Lamb - Fish very limited. No idea why people think its 5 star. Compare this with The OXO Tower. And amazing views of London. Superb menue and better on all levels. Need to try a lot harder ORIZZONTI Restaurant! Wine list 8/10 Service 9/10 Value for money 3/10
The guide never showed, I texted and called - nothing. I waited for 15 minutes and left. What a disappointment.
The tour was very short - 20 min start to finish. Only did the church. Then, I could barely hear the guide. When I made a comment that I couldn’t hear, he pointed at the mic and said the church requires guides to use it. Fine, but then speak into the mic. Lastly, the guide had very limited knowledge - when the other participants asked follow up questions, he gave one word answers and left it. Very disappointed. Should have just paid to go directly into the church and then get an audio guide. Would not recommend this tour.
I’m giving this tour 2 stars purely for the beauty of the Duomo itself and the brief explanation we received Our ticket listed two different meeting points — the souvenir shop and the museum — which are about a ten-minute walk apart. In the pouring rain, we went back and forth trying to figure out where to go. The guides had no signs, so even after arriving ten minutes early, we kept searching and eventually found someone who told us we had already missed the tour. We were even marked as a no-show despite being there on time, then the guide recanted when I showed them the ticket instructions having two meeting points. When we called the number on the ticket, no one picked up. We were finally told to visit the museum first and join the next tour instead. That “replacement” tour lasted only about 24 minutes, even though the original was advertised as 45 minutes. Overall, the experience was highly disorganised and the tour itself was half the duration promised. This is coming from someone who has taken guided tours in about fifty countries.
Loved the tour, the guide delivered a great presentation with a twist of humour and the Italian vibe:) Lifetime experience totally worth the money! Breathtaking views from the rooftop and especially the walk through the spires, loved it!
We were able to get in last minute when another tour canceled out on us. It was a great experience. They were very accommodating.
Tour was informative but started late, beautiful building. Dosent include opportunity to go on the roof
The guided tour of the Duomo di Milano was one of the most enriching experiences of my trip. Our tour guide, Fadia was incredibly knowledgeable. She brought the Cathedral’s history and architecture to life with stories I’d never have discovered on my own. The Gothic details, the stained glass, the sheer scale of the building were breathtaking, as well as the religious symbolism were both insightful and engaging. I appreciated her willingness to answer our questions. The tour was a fantastic way to experience Milan’s most Iconic landmark. Marius, the tour operator was very professional and easily accessible. Highly recommended!
Very knowledgeable guide and friendly. Excellent explanation of significance and history. Meeting point difficult to find.
You go to the museum without a guide, and the Duomo with a guide. Very informative and knowledgeable and entertaining guide.
Skip the line is saving time and worse the money. The guide tour was very knowledgeable about the Duomo. He was always looking for the group and helping the group to find each other so we don’t get really lost. He was also very friendly and available for questions.
Check to be sure the Duomo is not closing early ! 😥 The stain glasses tell a story because back in the day you could not read books. Each are different , the largest 3 are, the Gospel, book of Revelations and Old Testament .
Good tour guide and tour of this magnificent place of worship and artistic excellence. Profound in every respect. Highly recommended.
Loved it!! Marius the tour guide was so friendly and helpful! We would do it again next time and definitely recommend this tour. So Amazing!!
You actually spend a very short time in both the Duomo itself and the museum. There was not enough time in the museum before we had to hustle back to the meeting spot to catch the tour inside the Duomo. On that part of the tour the information we received wasn’t much more than we could have gotten from a guidebook or audio guide. Very disappointing.
Was a good way to get a brief introduction to the building of the Duomo and key points of interest inside. It was quite a large group and relatively short in terms of time in the Duomo but were able to stay and spend more time exploring on our own after the guided tour.
Just wonderful , the Duomo is breath taking . Tourweavers staff is welcoming is well prepared . Recomand the experience .
The experience was great, found out so much information about the cathedral. The guide was patient and spoke an understandable english.
This vendor did a bait and switch. The tour was canceled and rescheduled at the last minute and the new tour was missing key elements of the original itinerary. They also refused to provide the tour unless we supplemented the original price with cash. This was a costly mistake that ruined our afternoon.
My visit to the Cathedral Duomo was made truly memorable thanks to our exceptional guide. From the moment the tour began, it was evident that they possessed a deep passion and knowledge about this magnificent structure. Their ability to weave together the historical, architectural, and cultural significance of the Duomo in such an engaging and accessible manner was impressive. They navigated us through the grandiose nave, the intricate details of the stained glass windows, and the breathtaking rooftop views with ease. Their storytelling brought the history of the Duomo to life, making it more than just a visit but an immersive experience. Their enthusiasm was infectious, making the tour not only informative but also incredibly enjoyable. I left with a greater appreciation for the Duomo and a wealth of interesting facts and stories. I highly recommend taking a guided tour with them to anyone visiting the Duomo-it's an experience you won't forget!
Cristian was impecable at explaing us what was going to happen, and me and my wife had an amazing trip to Duomo in Milan. I strongly recommend TourWeavers for your trips in Italy!
