It was described as “Brera District Walking Tour and Pinacoteca di Brera.” However, there was no walking tour. We spent two hours inside of the museum. I would never have signed up for this if I knew that was how it would unfold. I was extremely disappointed and unhappy. Our guide was very nice though.
Very personal tour of the museum. Our guide was excellent very very informative. There were so many beautiful pieces to see in the museum .
Our tour guide was amazing. He had such a knowledge of history and art which was impressive. Took his time with us to explain the rich stories of the paintings. Highly recommend.
Very interesting museum. The tour outside was basically a walk around the block at the end to understand more about the neighborhood so this is definitely a museum tour.
Very knowledgeable guide ( apologies have forgotten her name) great on the gallery and selected paintings. This gallery is well worth seeing but background info made it even better District component was brief but it was raining Highly recommended
Brera is a very quaint, interesting area and we really enjoyed the tour. It highlighted where we wanted to explore later and had many restaurant options. The museum was manageable and spacious so it was easy to admire the art. We were fortunate that the Armani exhibit was extended and the clothes were amazing.
This is a great tour if you’re into European/Renaissance and later art. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on all the art in the museum. I wish I could remember his name because I would highly recommend him.
One of the best museums i have ever been to. Excellent art, superb history and significance. This went beyond expectation. I was surprised that the pinacoteca brera can rank among the top museums in the world. They even have a library to boast which is truly magnificent. This museum can give the top museums a run for their money. An underdog museum, very very very under rated. A must visit for museum and art lovers and history intellectuals.
The number of paintings and their place in art history is overwhelming without guide like we had. Great!
Mary, our tour guide was fantastic. She was a delightful plethora of knowledge and provided a pleasant and informative experience. Highly recommend her.
Gaia was fabulous! We had a wonderful time walking around this center of Milan and learning all about the history, architecture and culture of the city. She also recommended many other fun things to do and places to visit as well as great restaurants. Thanks again, Gaia!
Fabulous explanation of history of the museum and the world class art collection it houses. Nina, our guide, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Lara was an absolutely fabulous tour guide with deep knowledge of the museum and the Brera district. Excellent experience.
Giorgio is really a rare find of a guide with passion for and encyclopedic knowledge of the art. We focused mostly on the Italian Renaissance masters and our guide really brought the paintings to life with a great narrative, attention to detail and historical context. Highly recommend.
Great visit of the Brera Pinacoteca thanks to our guide, very knowlegeable, dedicated and nice. I highly recommend it !
Very interesting description of many artworks For the casual observer perfect. Maybe it would have been nice to have a longer guide of the area
It was great! Our tour guide (sorry don’t remember her name) had so much knowledge and was able to keep it very interesting!
My guide Tiziana was very knowledge and passionate about arts. She studied there. Highly recommended. I booked this as a group, but due to lack of people, for additional $100 euro, they made it private. It’s solid. Worth the experience.
I wish I knew the academy was closed on Sundays before I bought the tickets. However the art museum was amazing
We appreciated our tour guide so much and to learn so many interesting facts about the artwork at this fantastic museum! We even learned more about the Brera neighborhood which was also very appreciated. This was so worthwhile and highly recommend it!
Cara was extremely knowledgeable about the artwork, and was very personable . We learned a lot in the 2hrs we spent with her.
Must do. One of the most fantastic features and venues of Milan. Our guide was amazing and she was so insightful. Easy to find at the entrance. A guide in a small group setting is a must way to do this museum. No big groups making noise and congestion.
Well worth it. The guide Giorgio was very good. The explanations, even comparing art exhibits by different artists and the different perspective presented was much appreciated. In short, this made the museum part of the tour very informative. The walking part was also interesting with his historical perspective on the area of Beers. We enjoyed it a lot.
Our guide Mary was outstanding, describing everything in detail. It was a great tour and memorable experience. I highly recommend.
Our guide was spectacular at explaining the subtle messages of each piece. Also gave us an overview of how Italian art changed through centuries. The Pinacoteca Di Brera houses some very beautiful works, it is definitely recommended.
I had high expectation for this visit as the museum hosts works by Raphael, Caravaggio, Bramante, Veronese and alike. But the visit was behind my expectations as a result of the excellent knowledgeable guide who added a lot of information and even recommended visiting more places. After the guided tour I stayed two hours to see again those marvelous pieces of art.
I had high expectations from this visit to Brera district and museum because of the works by Rafael, Caravaggio, Veronese, Rubens, Bramante, Hayez, Mantegna and others. But the excellent guidance and explanations of the capable guide made the visit a super-experience for me as he put light on the background and trends. He even recommended on other places to visit. After the guided tour I stayed for two hours to see again and strengthen the impressions. I will never forget this visit and will probably come back to this place.
Excellent guide . Learnt so much from her.Especially liked the information and painting ‘ the kiss’ because it’s not what it seems
Great experience. The tour starts with a walk through the Brera district which is very pretty and interesting. The guide will explain interesting details about the history of the area. Then the tour goes to the museum and looks at the art. This is a great way to see the art because there are many pieces but the tour focuses on some of the more interesting ones. The guide will explain the history of the pieces and point of details and context that you may otherwise miss. I recommend doing this tour!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about art and gave lots of little details on each masterpiece
The explanations of the paintings and seeing the Caravaggio and the Kiss And just having the time to stop and admire
Nina was terrific. Extremely knowledgeable. Art gallery is very impressive. I recommend this tour. The Brera district has tons of restaurants and on Sunday there is a huge flea market in the streets.
Great tour. But our tour guide should have told us to take a stool with us at the beginning and to have a seat whenever we wanted.
Lovely, passionate and knowledgeable guide. We had a great time. Definitely recommend. The walk in the neighborhood added a nice little twist to the museum experience
A must-do guided tour in Milan! The guide was amazing. She was so informative and her English was perfect.
A guide was great! Knowledgeable and energetic. She made a big difference for me to appreciate experience! Definitely recommend it
Our guide (sorry I can’t recall her name), was very informative, had a nice way of interacting with our group and though my enjoyed sharing her knowledge. The walking tour of Brera combined with with the tour was wonderful.
Overall Milan has much to see / been there 5 times and focused on work, local favorites - restaurants. Stayed in Brera area / many places to eat - find your flavor but local shops out of city area can be bettter.
Mary our guide was outstanding. Her attention to details , sharing such insightful information and history made the tour very worthwhile!!
It was a good tour. Nina was great, very knowledgeable about all the different little details of art and historical events
Laura was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history and description of the art pieces in a genuinely enticing manner that enriched my experience of the pinacoteca. Would recommend 1000%.
The host gave us a great and enthusiastic portrayal of the Pinacoteca. I found it to be very enlightening. We particularly appreciated the history behind the most important pieces.
Fabrizio was a great guide. He had an excellent grasp of how the paintings we saw fitted into the overall context of art history and made the individual paintings come alive with his interesting explanations. He concentrated on the paintings of major importance but also showed us important local genres. And at the very end while looking at a painting of the 1860s, he explained to me, vey clearly and simply, the sequence of events in the Risorgimento, something I have been struggling to understand for years.
The Pinacotecca Brera was fantastic. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered our questions in detail. Very good experience.
Fabio was a great guide! His depth of knowledge truly made our tour a memory to cherish. The evolution of the masters through the regions was presented beautifully.
The tour was very informative and fun. We learned a lot about the paintings and sculptures and had a great time. We would recommend the tour to anyone.
Our guide Mary was superb- so articulate and knowledgeable of the Brera galleries and the collection. Her passion for the works and obvious expertise made the works of art come alive. I am a Museum Guide in the US and could not have asked for a better guide to the superb collection of Milan’ Brera Pinacoteca
Fabio shared a great deal of information related to Bret’s and the pieces of art we viewed. He has a wealth of knowledge about art and history. He is a talented guide. Would take other tours with him without hesitation!
HORRIBLE. My wife twisted her ankle the day before. We called 23.5 hours (not 24 hrs) in advance because that was when our flight landed and they denied the refund. They argued we had to present a hospital admission paper, mhhh (in a foreign country). Last time I used Viator.
