The guide spoke 3-4 languages and some times she did not always speak English. We expected to see more of the train and the Alps. The email we got the day before said our tour was cancelled. When it was not. It was a long day. Lake Como was very good.

The views were amazing, all day, we had a wonderful clear & sunny day, so while cold it made the views wonderful. The guide was very welcoming & informative. The drivers were great too, especially considering the busy, tight roads.
A few days before the tour, we were notified by the provider that there was an issue and they had to change the itinerary. Basically it was the same tour, just with an earlier departure and a private boat cruise on Lake Como included in the same price. We accepted the change and everything was good. Very clear instructions on where to meet, the whole trip was very organized, we had enough time at each location to enjoy it, lunch was at St. Moritz (had about 1.5 hours there). Tips for this tour: 1. the views are amazing on both sides of the bus and train, you get a view of pretty much the exact thing because the roads snake through the mountains so the bus/train turns to each side. The only difference is on the train if you sit on the right side, you get to see the 2 glaciers and the 2 arched bridges better. But you get a private/reserved wagon just for the group so you can get up and go look on the other side, take photos as long as you're respectful of the people sitting down. 2. October is definitely the best time to do this tour. The autumn colours are amazing to see and it's not too cold.
I would like to thank you for this wonderful experience. Amazing views and beautiful memories at St. Moritz Thank you our guide Ms. Carolina MG for all the information for our 2 drivers Sergio and Marco who made us safe all the way back to Milan. Big Thanks.
The overall trip is a great way to spend a day. The train ride is wonderful. Stops in Triano and St Moritz was nice as well Only issue was guide spoke mostly Spanish and we speak English
Good morning! The experience is not being pleasant as offered. Lack of organization, the bus arrived late and there was no adequate signage, everyone looking without knowing what was happening. The offer said that the train ticket would be first class, it wasn't! Slide segunda is a rush to get the seats because there were too many people for counted space. We couldn't even sit together, because it looked like a herd running to the train. In addition, he did not meet the schedules, we spent more than 10 minutes toasting in the hot sun, waiting for people who did not meet the schedule. The correct thing would be to forward the people who arrived on time and then, if there was time left, the others. Rules should be for everyone. Anyway, I don't recommend it.
I was a wonderful experience. Got to see lots of wonderful country and the train ride was spectacular. Great opportunities for beautiful pictures on the train.
Andrea was good tour guide, he was very informative, funny, entertaining and I understood all the information that he provided. The bus departed on time and the bus driver was an excellent driver.
We are really disappointed!! We feel that we were scammed!!. We paid for the Bernina train experience and only just before taking the train, we found out that it was another train (not the Bernina), which was not even going on the same track!! All the 39 people in the tour were surprised as no one told us before hand about this. We complained to Austradale Viaggi and they argued that the station is subject to change. But it is not about the station!!The point is that you are selling something instead of something else.
Great experience overall and an amazing guide. Suggest picking a seat on the right on the bus and left on the Bernina express.
The transportation was great tour guide was super informative and kept everything on time. Thought we would have just a little more time to shop at our stops. Barely enough time for restroom breaks and back to the meeting point.
The Bernina train provides comfort and an excellent experience train ride going up to St Morritz Switzerland, from Tirano Italy While you are on the train it passes through the mountains and you can see an amazing views of the Swis Alps Definitely do this experience again .
We had a very great experience with Carolina MG and Alberto was best driver. Carolina was an amazing tour guide
The Bernina Train was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our trip. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with spectacular views of the Swiss Alps, glaciers, lakes, and charming mountain villages. The journey was comfortable and very well organized, allowing us to relax and enjoy the incredible landscapes. I highly recommend this beautiful train ride—it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Carolina was a wonderful guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the entire tour. She made our Bernina Train experience even more enjoyable and memorable!
A long day but worth t time and money. It was planned very well. No waisting time and above all a beautiful itinerary.
Once off experience to see beautiful swiss landscape. Having a guide give us helpful information about the areas we were passing through.
My experience with VIATUR was horrible, they changed the schedule of my tour to a date that I could not make it, as I had something else scheduled, in spite of that and after several phone calls they were not willing to refund the cost of the tour.
This day trip was fabulous & I highly recommend it to anyone considering trying to do the 3 options in it. Great scenic trip to Lake Como & boat trip around the lake. The Bernina train trip from Tarino was spectacular up over the Alps to St Moritz which is definitely a place like no other. We had a really good guide & the trip was really well run.
This tour is very eventful for sightseeing enthusiasts. Very few tours feature a Lake Como cruise and a visit to the Swiss Alps together, allowing you to experience the best of two countries in one day (make sure to book the correct ticket type, as options vary). Our tour guide, Mr. Andrea, was excellent, friendly, and charismatic. He provided great historical, geographical, and practical facts during every part of the trip. Helpful Tips Finding the meeting point: We had trouble finding the pickup location, but when we called them, they responded quickly and guided us right to it. Do not stress if you need help. Bus seating: Sit on the right side of the coach for the best angles to view Lake Como and other landmarks. The cruise & breaks: The boat cruise was beautiful with no issues, and restroom breaks were well-timed throughout the day. The Swiss Alps & Red Train: The journey to St. Moritz as you climb in altitude is breathtaking, and the red train views are spectacular. The tour reserves a carriage, so you can freely roam and take pictures from both sides.Train snacks: Remember to bring snacks or food for the train ride. Minor Downsides Limited time in St. Moritz: We wished we had more free time in the city, as we only had about 20 minutes to look around and buy or eat something. Summary: This is an ideal one-day tour combining Milan and Switzerland, and I highly recommend it if you are visiting Milan for a short stay.
"Outstanding" may be overused, but it does apply to the Bernina Red Train. It is very different from other typical tourist day trips.
Very well organised. Clear instructions given about the bus, meeting locations and times. Carolina was really lovely.
Mr. Andrea was a fantastic guide. Professional, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. Lake Como cruise was fabulous, the journey up the mountain to St. Moritz was breathtaking and the journey backdown on the Bernina Red Train was spectacular. You don’t want to miss this one!
Train ride is worth the long day of bus travel to get from Milan to St. Moritz and back. Great scenery!
The trip was very interesting and truly inspiring . To go from lake Como all the way up to the Alps in Switzerland and pass through all the season and weathers was amazing! Beautiful landscapes ,pictures in snow and feelds of fresh grass! The sudden change from green to white ... Waterfals and rivers, frozen lakes and small villages during that day made me think of how people live there in cold! The guide was profesional and very sweet to tell us all the story with such patience despite speaking both English and Spanish language fluently! We took some great pictures for my painting collection and I liked it very much. The only bad thiong was that you sit the whole day because it is a bus drive than train and bus again! but already tomorrow with a good sleap all was already ok .Any person can find a bad in all good so people cpould say whatever they want, but if you like landscapes and nature this will be a great wxperience .I can not think of anything bad .My brain still travels 2 days after looking at the end of the red train and enjoying the snow and fresh air! I will always remember this day
Katia is an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable. The Bernina Express was such an experience going through the Swiss Alps on the way to St. Moritz!
We had a great time on this tour. We booked the tour with Lake Como and the train. The views were amazing. Our tour guide Simona was very friendly.
Great tour, the views were amazing on the Bernina red train and Lake Como. Our guide Simons and driver were friendly.
We loved the red train through the alps and the stop at both lake Como and St Moritz. Our drivers were skilful through the mountain passes and our guide Cristina was friendly and knowledgeable . I would highly recommend.
Do not go during Easter weekend. We were a family of 3. My 11 yo daughter, my deaf elderly mother, and myself. We were separated on more than one occasion. We were unable to sit together on the train ride as everyone was pushing and running past us. And during the train ride other passengers on the tour were extremely rude and not allowing other people to open their windows. . It was very disappointing that other patrons were bullying the people sitting by the windows. The train ride was HOT due to people screaming anytime the window was opened. The tour guide did nothing to mitigate this and did not even ride in the same train car. I had told her that I needed to stay near my deaf mother and young daughter and if she could help us sit together. She did not even bother to respond. I had to stand the entire train ride to be near them. Then on the return bus ride our seats were taken by other passengers and we were separated once again. It was not worth the money to be separated. We wanted to experience a beautiful train ride together but the memories are ruined by the overcrowding and rude pushy guests. I suggest doing this tour in the off season.
It's incredible!!!!! I wish we stayed in St Moritz a bit longer, then it would be perfect!!! The views were breathtaking!
We loved the scenery. It felt like travelling from season to season. Most beautiful experience and suitable for all ages (who manage sitting in the bus.) The guide was lovely, fun and informative. Toilets are limited during the tour.
The service provided by Josephine, Marco and Luca was fabulous and they are so patient with the most accurate information and stories shared. Those instruction were so clear which made us spend time in efficient way. The recommendation from Josephine was superb. Both my wife and I would like to have the similar trip from Josephine and those bus drivers Marco and Luca in future!!
A wonderful experience! We really enjoyed the Bernina train ride with the fantastic change in scenery!! The coach drive to Tirano and back from St Moritz was just great!! And our guide Carolina was excellent, took very good care of us and was explaining things to us all the time, right up to when we got back to Milan in the evening! She was fantastic!!
By far the highlight of the tour is the Bernina Red Train. Absolutely gorgeous views! However, we only 40 minutes in St Moritz due to train delays and it wasn’t even enough time to get a hot chocolate and use the washroom—-which was disappointing. Be aware that the trip down by bus is very steep and winds….there were two that became sick and there were no supplies to clean up and it wasn’t pleasant on the two+ hours going back. :(
Strongly reccomend this tour and company. Its is a full on day, but there were plenty of opportunities for breaks with time to explore. Great communication from time of booking. The guide Mauricio was very professional and kept our large group fully informed throughout the day.
We had an absolute wonderful experience! Highly recommend. Every moment was filled with meaningful, interesting and fun narratives. We are so grateful to Carolina and the driver.
We were in Milan March 1st to the 3rd, 2026. Milan was a wonderful experience. We stayed at the Hotel The Square Milano Duomo, and it was just a great place to stay. We took a flight from Paris to LIN airport, as it was closer and easy to grab the Metro at the airport and it does have a stop at the Duomo which was right by our hotel. Easy to use CC for the Metro, and it was very easy to navigate. Be mindful though, many streets are cobblestone by the Duomo so dragging luggage can be a pain. We stayed 2 nights and it was enough to see the church and do some shopping. Lots of options for eating as well. We actually took a train to Tirano to get the Bernina Express when we left and that was pretty easy as well.
Enjoyed very much. Still Moritz was scenic and interesting. Highlight was the train ride. Wonderful, not scary, great scenery, interesting. It is a ways from Milano, but It is what it is. Stop on the way back to Milano was great. If lived in Milano, I would have bought much more items.
Excellent experience i really recommend this trip to everyone and everything age, wonderful experience
This is a long day, but one of our Milan Olympic trip highlights. It is awesome. Very well organized. The sites and views are incredible. Probably the only time I'll ever be in the Swiss Alps so it was once in a lifetime tour. Our tour was: bus to Lake Como, boat ride on the lake, bus to St Moritz, 2.5 hours to eat and walk around, Bernina train to Tirano, bus back to Milan. Everything was beautiful. Here's a few tips to make your day the most enjoyable. 1) Try to book a restaurant reservation (or research restaurant choices) in St Moritz so you know exactly where you're going to eat. I think we got off the bus at around 1215pm. So a 1230pm or 1245pm reservation would be perfect. 2) Buy some snacks and drinks in St Moritz prior to boarding the train. We were slightly delayed on the train so we went straight from the train to the bus without an opportunity to buy anything (after the train and prior to the final bus ride). 3) Bring an external battery charger. I brought my power cord but didn't see anywhere to charge on the bus or train. You'll be taking lots of photos so you don't want to run out of battery. 4) Sit on the left side of the train, window seat if possible. You can lower the windows for great photos and the train curves over a beautiful bridge after a tunnel and the left side gets a much better view. 5) The last leg of the trip is the worst. You end the day with a 2.5 hour bus ride on mostly highways. Eat those snacks from earlier, take a nap, take off your jacket and get settled in. Have an audiobook, album, movie, etc downloaded to your phone so you can go airplane mode and save battery. Our day was 715am to 825pm. It was an awesome experience that I would highly recommend.
Breathtaking views and wonderful guide. The Bernina train was very cramped, nothing luxurious as we had expected. Barely enough time at each stop to grab a bite to eat and not really time to explore. But hey, nothing compares to the Alps!!
Very nice experience. Our guide , Liva was very good and everything was good. At the point without delays.
It was fantastic although we had to go to the cathedral and we have skipped it and had little time in st Moritz.
What a wonderful day! It was only one day, but I feel like I saw a lot of Even in the winter when the days are short, we were able to see snow and the mountains. The views were spectacular from the train, as expected, but also from the bus. Everything ran smoothly and the bus was very comfortable - it even had outlets to charge my phone on the way back. We had more than 2 hours in St. Moritz, so I was able to walk all over the village and even walk on the frozen lake. Highly recommended!
Josefina been wonderfull guia tour and Driver excelent, we been lucky to have wonderfull weather too, is been fantastic trip 100% recomend, well organized and well talk☺️
I was so looking forward to this trip but it was very disappointing. My initial booking was changed due to operational issues! But really it was to cram as many people into the coach and the carriage as possible, making it crowded, hectic and uncomfortable. I had thought this was the Bernina Express with the lovely overhead windows but it was the local train where the windows can be opened meaning that the train trip was spent with people vying for more photographs than anyone really needs. No food opportunity on the train or toilets which was outlined several times on the coach to Tiriano but as I knew already I had taken a packed lunch and drink. The view of Lake Como was whizzing past on the motorway and the tour round St Moritz was speedy and not easy to herd 50 people by one guide. The guide, Sabrina, herself was personable and professional and the coach and drivers very safe and competent. It was a greedy tour because next month tours will only be allowed 25 in a group I was told. It would have been possible to do this myself by booking a train to Tirano from Milan and taking a trip on the Bernina Express to Chur but St Moritz is quite charming and then it is a 2-3 hour coach back to Milan in the dark. Also on the train our group of 50 were confined to one carriage, or upgrade for another 24 euros to FirstClass and then find out that in fact one could have been in other carriages but our tour guide said we should stay in the crowded one - so that was annoying to find out in hindsight as the rest of the train was almost empty. The scenery was lovely though and worth seeing. Nothing much in Tirano, Lake Como not great in winter even speeding by and hearing about the lovely gardens! St Moritz is classy and charming.
very bad they literally stuff you into a bus and train and it's not panoramic window and families get departed because they don't assign seats. Most of the tour is sitting in a bus and stopping for bathroom! the train was only an hour
Great trip! Totally worth it! Beautiful views. Great guide, confortable buses whole day of fun!!!!!!
It's a wonderful experience. Thevtrain trip was awesome and the guide a kind and excellent professional
The bus ride down to lake Como is very long. Also although one of the main reasons we booked this tour was being able to open windows on the train which seemed to cause a complete panic among other people in the group although it’s stated clearly in the description of the tour. There was a bit of an argument amongst people on the train and it kinda ruined the moment a little bc I wanted to open my window but I wasn’t up to getting involved in confrontation with anyone.
