Our guide arrived later than a good number of people on the trip. He was neither informative nor engaging. He did the basics of what he had to do and honestly not anything more. We could have bought our own tickets to the Bernini Red Train for much less money. There was zero added value to having a guide. The Bernina Red Train was wonderful, however, and well worth your time and money.
An amazing experience from start to finish! The pickup point was easy to find, and our tour guide was friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Lake Como and the Swiss mountains were absolutely breathtaking. I was initially a little hesitant about the length of the trip, but there was no need to be. The coach was spacious and comfortable, and we had several stops along the way, including time in Switzerland to explore, enjoy some food and do a little shopping before taking the train up the mountain. The entire day was well organised and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Milan who wants to experience another country in a safe, comfortable and hassle-free way, without having to worry about organising all the logistics themselves. Definitely worth every penny!
The experience was very wonderful to repeat it with my children one day.. thanks to Alejandro 👍
Coach driver a legend, guide fantastic, breathtaking scenery
5 stars .. would definitely recommend for anyone thinking of going in the future.
Well organized and our guide was very efficient. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and our guide and driver made it a memorable trip.
Wonderful tour with beautiful scenery and train ride.
Alejandro was super nice and took the time to answer any question the tour party had, awesome tour
Alejandro was such an amazing tour guide ! Very insightful, explained everything thoroughly, and even gave us a good laugh.
The train ride was good although not everyone got to sit by the window. They actually have to focus on solo travelers bc it is easier for us to get lost and feel left out. The St. Moritz visit was way too short and we didn't get to see the slopes as well as the ski village. It would be nice also to go on the lift. The area we get to see was very boring, nothing but overprices shopping. No way it was enough time to eat at the restaurant! Also, nowhere on the additional info of the listing it says to dress warmly but he temperature went way down! The meeting point to go back to the train station was too far away from the actual village so it was also nerve wracking to find it and get back. Tirano stop was not enough even for a coffee and bathroom so everything felt rushed. The radios also didn't work. I guess the views on the train compensated for all this.
The experience on the Bernina Swiss train ride is great. The sceneries are breathtaking. St Moritz is beautiful by the lake. Our guide wasn’t attentive and she spoke too soft.
Excellent day. Wonderful scenery. Especially around St Moritz Our guide Alejandro was very informative
It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend these trip.
Great day wonderful views Clean bus and amazing train ride
Amazing tour. Amazing guide. Amazing driver. Great communication. Great advice.
St Moritz was a beautiful town, unfortunately a lot of businesses were closed (seasonal), the photography of the lake and surrounds was breathtaking. The Bernina Red Train offered spectacular views dependant on which side of the train you were sat on (the guide did say equal views on both sides but unfortunately that was not the case).
What a wonderful experience! The views were stunning, and learning about the different cities we visited, including St. Moritz, was fascinating. The walking isn't too difficult, but fair warning: the day is long, about 12 hours. Our guide, Elma, was punctual and knowledgeable, and our driver, Massimo, handled the mountain terrain with great skill. I highly recommend this tour
Alejandro was a really nice guy and answered all our questions about the places we visited. 100% recommended for anyone interested in this tour!
Long day, but well organized with comfortable transportation and our very intelligent and enthusiastic guide, Elma. She gave us relevant information at convenient times (the motor coach and train) which allowed us to maximize our free time in beautiful Tirano and spectacular St. Moritz. And our driver, Maximo, was a true professional - he expertly navigated narrow streets, and the very windy downhill road after leaving St. Moritz. He was conscientious and courteous to other drivers and a few wayward, inattentive pedestrians!
The excursion matched the description and the views surpassed anticipation! Beautiful countryside. Ciara, our guide, was clever, informed, and funny - you best be on time because the train/coach waits for no one! Be mindful of the season if you want the shops in St. Moritz to be open; we were there in October when everything was closed down between the summer and winter high seasons. We still had a wonderful lunch at one of the restaurants and came back with gorgeous, inspirational photos... and chocolate:)
Very nice experience, enough time to visit St Moritz, enjoy a coffee and a snack and the train road is worth it.
The trip was pleasant and our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour and this travel agent as well as the guide to all tourists who wants a taste of Switzerland but time limit
Long day but beautiful scenery and good itinerary. Our guide Deborah was fantastic and went the extra mile to make sure everyone enjoyed their trip.
Marina was a great guide. I loved the punctuality on all the stops.
The opportunity to visit the Swiss Alps and St. Moritz was amazing! The Alps are beautiful beyond words and out guide, Chiara, was the best! She even let someone borrow her coat because they weren’t aware just how chilly it can get up there! The train itself was pretty basic, no frills, but it got the job done. Tirano was just okay but we were there on a Sunday so maybe there just wasn’t a lot going on. Just know it’s a long day - about 12 hours start to finish. The bus was also pretty basic, not a luxury coach and the charging outlets didn’t work.
Our tour guide, Marina, is one your best guides. She made the trip entirely pleasant, and was helpful beyond comparison. She deserves a GOLD STAR for excellence!
Great tour. Fantastic guide, very organized and knowledgeable. Reasonably priced. Amazing scenery from start to end. Our guide Chiara was awesome
Great trip out of Milan and into the mountains. Quite a lot to travelling but the train journey was amazing experience. We were lucky to have sunny clear day with snow topped mountains. We sat on the left of the train…too tip is to sit on the right hand side as has better views of the lakes and mountain side.
Great tour!! Beautiful scenery and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the stops we made and any questions the group had.
Amazing, very memorable. A private tour with less people would have been more fulfilling.. The tour guide Chiara was kind & patient. Dealing with rude passengers & with helping me order my meal. The driver was a bit cold towards me.. not sure if it was racist or not felt like it.. being that I was the only black American on the bus. The train ride was long but views were breath taking.
Chiara was great guide always concerned about everyone. Everything was well organized and on time. Great driver too.
Highlight of our trip, the train ride was so beautiful Chiara was a great guide, dress warm it’s much colder in the train also get a wrist strap so your phone doesn’t fall out the window
We highly recommend this excursion! We were spending time in Italy and wanted to check out the Swiss Alps and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences. Our guide Chiara was incredible! She kept the group engaged and was very informative and so kind to everyone. I can’t wait to do this next time we come back!
We took this trip on August 28, 2026. We met our guide Mya at the designated stop. Mya was an excellent guide being friendly and knowledgeable. The first part of the trip is a coach bus ride from Milan to Tirano. The coach is clean and comfortable. There is one stop for a quick snack along the way. There is no bathroom on the coach. Once in Tirano you have a bit of time to grab a quick bite or walk around a bit. At the appointed time you board a 2nd class coach. There is no assigned seating, and we would up facing backwards. The 2nd class seats are brutal. You face other passengers and there is minimal leg room. Erik wound up standing the whole trip. The train ride to St. Moritz is amazing. The scenery as you wind your way through the alps is breathtaking. Once in St. Mortiz you have time for lunch and some sightseeing. You ride back to Milan via the coach bus and are dropped off back at the starting point in Milan. We are really glad we took this trip. Mya was fantastic. The 2nd class coach is a real downside. Because of this we would not do the tour again. We would instead book a first-class car and ride the train that way.
Wondeful experience. Loved it
The views from the train were spectacular and the host was awesome.
Matteo was an amazing driver around those tight corners. We also loved Hermella and the information she shared, how clear her communication was in our meeting points and times, and her willingness to show us where to go. Would definitely go again! The fall colors were a spectacular treat.
Ornella is a wonderful guide, gave great information during the train ride and helped navigate St Mortiz! Would definitely recommend for anyone considering
Excellent service by Ornella and Mateo
Outstanding trip was alot of fun and the sites were beautiful and Majestic. Allehondro was a excellent host and knew alot of great info and was helpful and very funny. Highly recommend the trip. The Alps are Amazing and the train ride fun
Trip was great. Scenery on both the way up and back was beautiful. Red Train was really worth the trip.
Great tour of Italy and Switzerland. The Alps were stunning! Would recommend to anyone wanting to see beautiful scenery.
St Moritz the town was slightly disappointing. Most of the stores were closed and reopening in December Lot of construction. The lake was lovely.
Absolutely worthy the time and money. Amazing views with a knowledgeable host. All sides of the train are amazing. Would advise not first class so you can push down windows if taking pictures is important to you. It was cold and dressing warmer would be advised. As an FYI shops are closed on Sunday. High end shopping center is under construction also. Time to shop is short on this tour anyhow. Would advise going to the cafe getting something and enjoying the views from there.
Great tour and a wonderful guide. Well organized, structured and punctual. Katya provided a wealth of information.
It was a picture perfect day for photos - deep blue sky, bright sunshine ... unfortunately, along with one half of our group, we were stuck on the wrong side of the coach and had literally nothing of consequence to see. Our only option was to try and take photos, or see, through the heads and arms holding phones on the other side... which was a futile effort. Unless you are willing to knock down elderly people to get on the correct side, you're going to have a good chance of wasting $325 (for two) and 13 hours of your life. Everyone with internet access knows which side is best and charges towards it like its a Who concert in 1978. ... and as for St. Moritz - nothing but an overblown, overrated congregation of pretentious puffs. No one actually buys anything there - they just look through the store windows at ridiculously overpriced items. However, we did spend €55 on two chicken sandwiches on toast - so there was that. Horrible day - a waste of money and a full day in Italy. If you're going to do it, go for the actual Bernina train, book a seat on the correct side, take your photos through the window and just use AI later to eliminatethe the reflection. When they tell you both sides have great views, don't believe it. I'd give this day ZERO stars, except our guide was top notch and can't be held to blame.
Very good trip with time for shopping and lunch. Beautiful and scenic
Great day visiting St Moritz by way of the Bernina Red train. The views were spectacular, and Catia narrated our ride with enthusiasm. We had a nice lunch and walked around St Moritz for a bit, before boarding the bus with our driver Salvatore. The ride home had some windy parts down the mountain , which he navigated with great skill. A wonderful day!
We had a great day on this very interesting trip. It’s quite a long coach trip (and overall about an 11 hour day) so it is worth building that into your plans!
