Hotel Tocq

First time writing a review but since the hotel refuses to answer my email... I stayed for 3 nights in this '4 star' hotel and booked an executive with king bed. Had a nice big room on the top floor ith a terras so i was super exited. Sadly that's where they nice things ended. Every 45 min there was a huge banging sound right above me from the machines on the roof. Even with the earplugs in you could hear it... When i wanted to take a shower in the morning there was no hot water... When i adressed this nobody seemed surprised and they changed me to another room. This one was smaller and no terrace but i did not say anything cause i was allready glad i would have no noise and a warm shower. That was some wishful thinking cause when i wanted to take a shower this time it went from scolding hot to icecold every minute. So much for a 'relaxing' stay. Again i went to adress this and they said they would send a technician. Later that day i went back to the reception to ask if the problem was fixed. They said the technician fixed it. WRONG. Again same problem. I came down to complain and they just said they are sorry and would pass on the info so that it would not happen again for the next guest. When i explained that every day there had been promblems with things that are bare nesecities and that i would like to speak to somebody about, it i got a card and the message that i can send an email. This was not an email of somebody responsible for complaints but juist the general mail for info. So i sent one the same evening. Next morning at checkout i tried to talk about it and see if they could suggest some form of reimbursement and got the answer that if i sent an email then i will normally get an answer. We are 4 days later and still no answer. So if you want to have a noisy stay with a nice icecold or scolding hot shower, look no further 🙃. Don't expect an answer either.

This hotel was an unexpected delight! We arrived after a long day of travelling by train from Paris and were greeted by a receptionist that immediately sought to upgrade our room for us without asking. We greatly appreciated this after delays on our journey. Instructions were clear and safety features in the hotel made it feel very secure. Our room was spacious and quiet! The hotel had thought about cutting noise out of rooms and we had peaceful nights sleep. We had no view to speak of but we did not find that an issue in the slightest. The breakfast was great and had a lot of choice. The outside of the hotel does not do this place justice. As a location, we were able to walk the 20 mins from the station with our luggage and it was easy to find. We were also able to walk the distance to the main hub of Milan but this was perhaps a little further than we would have liked. Lots of choice for restaurants around the hotel but be warned they open later than we are used to eating and so needed to plan around this. I would recommend staying here. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the room but please believe me it was lovely.

The rooms, service and location are great. The room we stayed at was clean and modern, with mini-bar(pay on consumption). Ironing board and flat iron on request. The room was well air conditioned and cleaned daily. Staff were very polite and accomnodating. They answer queries and requests promptly, no need for follow ups. The breakfast has a good selection. They have cereals, muesli, fruits, pastries and cake, asian dish (udon, vegetables), juice area and hot drinks. Also, you can order hot drinks if you don't want the ones from the machine. Additionally, the location is impeccable. The metro is 2-3 minutes away, chinatown (9-15 mins walk), tram just outside, stores for major brands are just right outside. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

My stay at Tocq Hotel was nothing short of wonderful. The location is ideal—it is conveniently situated right next to a train station that provides direct connections to both the airport and the central station. Step outside, and you are right on a vibrant avenue packed with fantastic restaurants, gelato shops, and everything you could possibly need. The room was fully equipped with all essentials. Most importantly, the cleanliness was top-notch, especially the bedding and towels. Breakfast offered a fantastic variety of delicious options to start the day. What stood out most to me was the 24/7 front desk service. The entire team is exceptionally experienced, remarkably friendly, and insanely fast when it comes to service. A huge thank you to the hotel management and the wonderful reception staff for their outstanding hospitality. Considering the top-tier location and high-quality service, the price is extremely reasonable and well worth it. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Milan. Highly recommended!
