Very disappointing check-in experience. The receptionist was extremely rude and not polite when explaining the situation. I presented my B permit residence permit, which I use as my identification, but he simply told me that it was “not valid” because he considered it a working permit. He say that we can check in because of my IDs even its already full paid. The way he spoke to me made me feel humiliated and discriminated against because I am a foreign resident and not citizen of the country. I cannot know his intention, but the treatment felt discriminatory and very upsetting.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Crivi’s Hotel in Milan. The hotel is quiet, clean, and comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff who made the stay even more pleasant. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of fresh and delicious options. Although the furniture in the rooms is a little dated, everything is well maintained and very clean, which made the room comfortable throughout my stay. The location is another great advantage. The hotel is close to several metro stations, making it easy to get around Milan. It’s also only about a 20-minute walk to Piazza del Duomo, one of the city’s most famous landmarks, with a pleasant walk through Milan’s beautiful streets. Overall, Crivi’s Hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for a peaceful stay, excellent service, cleanliness, and a convenient location at good value for money. I would gladly stay here again
Overall, the hotel has a great location and the rooms are decent. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The kitchen staff and waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, my otherwise positive stay was overshadowed by an incident. When I returned to my room on the second night, I found an opened bottle of Coca-Cola on the bathroom sink that did not belong to me. Concerned that someone other than the housekeeping staff may have entered my room, I took the bottle to the reception and asked for an explanation. What disappointed me most was the receptionist's response. My concern was largely dismissed, and I was simply told that the matter would be reported to the manager. There was no effort to investigate immediately, and no attempt to remediate the situation. For a four-star hotel, I expected a much more professional and customer-focused response. Security wise I felt quite unsettled the rest of my stay.
This is a decent 4-star hotel overall, but there are a few things that could definitely be improved. Surprisingly, they did not provide basic amenities like a toothbrush or toothpaste, which I would normally expect from a hotel in this category. The rooms were okay and comfortable enough, but you can clearly notice some aging in the property, for example, parts of the wall paint were chipped off in a few places. Other than that, the stay was fine. They offer breakfast, and while the variety was not very extensive, it was still decent and satisfactory.
Reasonably priced hotels are generally rather spartan. Small TV if it matters, no AC though heat is offered. This is an older hotel BUT it wears it well. The bed was firm if a bit low for my bad knees. The bathroom was generous enough though. The staff is awesome, attentive, remembered my room every time we came in from an outing (they use REAL keys I always dropped it off at the desk). For the traveler that doesn’t need the hotel to provide the amenities, this is elegantly accommodating. BUT let’s talk about the breakfast buffet! THATS outstanding! Many options very well prepared, scrambled or hard fried eggs, sautéed zucchini & bell peppers to top your eggs, some wonderful cheeses including a very good Brie, some cuts of meat like prosciutto & mortadella, and a lovely & delicious array of breads including croissants, focaccia, filled breads & tarts. Good dark roast coffee, tea available, a really good juice with orange, grapefruit, & something else. It’s not gratis but well worth the price.
