Hotel was great and the room had everything you’d need. The decor was starting to look like it needed a bit of TLC and updating the bathroom layout wasn’t the best as the toilet was too close to the bath, so not good for people with slight mobility issues, As getting out of the shower required careful manoeuvring. All this being said I wouldn’t want to put anyone off a perfectly good hotel and would stay here again.
a nice stay overall i had the luck to be upgraded with a suite, my colleague did not have such luck. room was good and clean with very good service and breakfast is very tasty with home made baking.
Reception staff were very responsive to us upon discovering a few minor issues in our first room. Changed our room and moved our bags quickly. Breakfast and the staff were fantastic. Central to what we needed.
Location is within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and tourist sites. Hotel is historic looking but has been updated without missing historic charm. The breakfast is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant opens at 7:30pm for dinner.
Hotel Capitol – Simply Good I booked a small room at Hotel Capitol for a work trip, and my stay was truly excellent. The room was quiet and peaceful, with a window that let in fresh air—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The Wi-Fi was outstanding, thanks to their Wi-Fi 6 setup. I had no issues with connectivity, whether I was working or streaming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A special shout-out to the gentleman working in the breakfast area—he went above and beyond to assist guests and made mornings feel welcoming. I’d also like to commend the room service team. I had a minor issue with the trouser press, and when I called reception, someone came promptly and resolved it with great professionalism. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel’s location was ideal—just a short walk from my workplace. My room was cleaned daily, and everything was kept in perfect order. Based on my experience, I’m happy to give Hotel Capitol a 5-star rating. I genuinely can’t think of a single downside.
