Auriga Hotel

Lovely hotel overall. Very close to the train station (easy walking distance). Staff were very kind and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Pillows quite flat - requested additional pillows which were quickly supplied. Nice big window which one could open if desired. We had requested a room on the first floor (which is actually on the second floor of the building) but were not aware that the subway/metro runs under the hotel so one regularly hears the soft rumble of trains passing by during metro operating hours. We had a "noise machine" so that helped and it is likely a sound one would eventually get used to. Could hear water passing through pipes in neighbouring room. Toilet flush was very inefficient and wasted a lot of water. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again - though maybe on a higher floor :)

Wonderful hotel, old style in the best possible way i.e.in its appearance and its values. Warmly greeted upon our late train arrival, right the way through to our departure - by all members of staff.

So handy to Milano Centrale station, it is literally 9 minutes stroll. Time to have breakfast even if you have an early train! The room was clean and comfortable, the air con. was quiet but effective while it was 36° outside.

Location is so perfect near the station Service is excellent. I was feeling too hot and felt the AC is not enough so they brought me a fan as extra. The rooms and the hotel in general are vintage old style and that means they are tiny for single room and also a lot on noises. Maybe go for a double at least.
