My first ever review!!! This hotel is clean, with lovely rooms, and a great location. Unfortunately, our stay was not at all the quality we expect from a Hilton and the response from guest services was very disappointing.... Upon check-in we were informed that the water would be turned off from 11-2pm the next day. I am pregnant and asked if under the circumstances we could alter our reservation and was told no, but given the contact of their guest services manager. We went out the next day and returned at 2pm. When we arrived back at the hotel, there was far more construction (black topping etc) that made entering the hotel impossible from where the parking lot had been moved. We called the hotel to see 1. How to get back in and 2. if that water had been turned back on. The front desk staff said they didn't know if the water was back on and gave us instructions to enter from the side door on the other side of the building. An hour later we called to check again about the water and still the staff were unable to confirm and said they would call us back to let us know. They did not ever call. There were no paved sidewalks for the perimeter of the hotel and the side entrance had taped together plywood to cover exposed electrical work that was loosely coned off. Not unsafe, but definitely concerning. Construction is totally understandable, but being pregnant, with morning sickness and not having access to water or our toilet definitely compromised our stay. I thought this would be as simple as a reduced rate or slight refund to our stay as we weren't informed ahead of booking or allowed to change after learning this. Unfortunately, I was met with multiple very defensive responses from Annah, their guest services manager. We were told that all the other guests had been informed ahead of time and because we booked through a third party they didn't contact us and next time we should book through Hilton directly to avoid poor service. Also, despite her not being present, was told that her staff was there to help, that I was misrepresenting the situation, that we were not left w/o water for more than a couple hours. She further said they felt my concerns were merely aesthetic and they had met our needs. We understand our situation was unique and not having access to water for 5hrs is not the end of the world. However, we would have booked a different hotel that could meet my current health needs had we been given the opportunity. The disdain and, frankly, corporate liability response we were given left me feeling that a review was my only course of action. I did not appreciate being told repeatedly that bc other guests were notified that my complaint was illegitimate or to be called a liar for reporting our experience. Literally just a woman with morning sickness who was hoping to have a comfortable place while enjoying Holland. Holland—100%. Tulyp Guest Services—0%.

FABULOUS location! One block away from the Main Street. It was really easy to go grab some breakfast/takeout/shopping bags and bring it back to the room The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s a little outdated. It was currently under renovation (signage said until November 2027) so hopefully that means they’re upgrading they’re rooms throughout the process. They were adding onto the hotel but we didn’t notice any noise during sleeping hours. Parking was a little dicey too, if you came back anytime in the evening. They had an event the last night we were there and that took up tons of parking spaces so we had to park In the electric car park only spot—told the front desk and they were okay with it They’re also dog friendly, which was awesome. We brought our 2 mini dauschunds and staff wooed over them ☺️ We stayed in a king suite for the space and it was the perfect amount of space. Had a large mini fridge/freezer and microwave, which was awesome! The large tub in the main room seemed odd/dated to me Id absolutely stay here again though. Overall, good value for the location itself, friendly staff.
Comfortable and cozy hotel. Close to downtown so you can go for dinner on foot. The room was nice although we would have preferred a little more privacy for the shower. There is no door separating the shower from the rest of the room, just a simple curtain. Even if the guests are a couple, like we were, some privacy is still appreciated.
Hilton should be embarrassed to have their name on this building with rooms in it! Worst hotel experience ever! We arrived at 10pm. One employee working the whole hotel. No housekeeping or maintenance people. Asked for hypoallergenic room, got dog hair all over bedding and furniture. She offered a new room however that didn't solve the issue of needing it to be hypoallergenic. Third shift person comes in, she's like a deer in headlights brings us sheets and expects us to change them because her manager does not want her away from the desk. So at midnight we change our own sheets and bedding at this "luxuryhotel". The next day manager Anna, is not available to speak to us. She cowardly sends an email full of fluff. She did not think there was anything wrong with how this hotel is run. We ended up speaking to her in person at check out still, no compensation, no apology. I've stayed at many Hilton's and this is not their standard. DO BETTER!
Some renovations going on but didn't impact the stay, the rooms are oddly laid out, but clean, a bit noisy with the AC on but it was cool in the room so it was nice. The bar is great, the service is great, the location is great. Lots to like, I would stay again.
