This is our fourth or fifth visit to this Embassy Suites, can't wait to come back again! Very friendly and easy check-in, the room was spotless, great location - walking distance to DeVos Place, which was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and well stocked, with fantastic customer service. Per request, the chef was kind enough to give me a side of shredded cheese from the omelette bar so I could take my food up to the room, add the cheese and microwave my food slightly to melt it. I know, picky, but hey, I like my eggs how I like them and didn't want to take up a spot in the omelette line. :) The provided condiments available along the buffet were fabulous: butter, syrup (even sugar free!), peanut butter, strawberry & grape jam, honey, hot sauce, ketchup, etc. I'm sure if you found something they didn't have sitting out, they would try to find it for you! The coffee stations were lovely as well, providing the standard accoutrements like sugar, Splenda, Equal, and creamer (regular and hazelnut). I didn't notice all of the oatmeal options, but I believe there was brown sugar and raisins, if memory serves me correctly. There were some dry cereal options, as well as yogurt and fruit salad with cantaloupe, honeydew and pineapple. Two drink machines provided pop options, as well as orange juice, apple juice, lemonade, water, and cranberry juice, plus there were cans of pineapple juice near the fruit salad. I created a breakfast mix of pineapple, cranberry and orange juice that was delightful. The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly, I can't wait until our next visit to GRR!

We had an incredible experience staying at the hotel for our wedding! We stayed in the Presidential Suite, and it was absolutely incredible. The view was breathtaking, and the room was by far the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy such a special weekend. A special thank you to Sonja, who was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She helped us set up our wedding room block and assisted us with booking our room. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. We really appreciated that she took the time to show us several different rooms and helped us find the perfect accommodations for our wedding weekend. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we are so grateful to the hotel and its staff for helping make our wedding weekend even more memorable. We would absolutely recommend staying here, especially for anyone planning a wedding or special event!
Came here on a business trip. Hotel is easy to get to close to the airport. Hotel is in a nice area. Has an attached parking garage where it's $25 per night for parking. The interior of the hotel was very nice, upscale, trendy, modern. Room was spacious enough with a small fridge, microwave coffee machine, my room had a sink in the kitchen area. I ended up in an exercise room or fitness room, where they had a stationary bike, TRX, And some weights. It was nice to be able to just take care of that without having to leave the room. Breakfast was excellent as is usually the case with Embassy Suites. Made to order omelets, assortment of breads, cereal, coffee juice etc. If you leave there hungry it's your fault. Staff Very nice
I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids Downtown and overall had a good experience, but there were a couple of issues that stood out—especially for a hotel that presents itself as upscale. The hotel itself looks great and definitely has a higher-end feel. The location is also a strong point, with easy access to different areas around the city, which made getting around very convenient. That said, the biggest downside was the room view. Our window was about 15 feet away from a parking garage, so all we saw was a wall of cement. It completely took away from the experience. If you plan to stay here, I would strongly recommend requesting a riverside room—otherwise, you may end up with a pretty disappointing view. Another issue was cleanliness. After a long day, I went to take a shower and noticed hair all over the shampoo container from a previous guest. That immediately made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. It’s something you don’t expect, especially at a hotel in this category. To make matters worse, when I mentioned it at checkout, the front desk didn’t seem overly concerned and basically brushed it off. That lack of response was surprising and not what I would expect from a hotel like this. Overall, it’s a nice property with a great location, but attention to detail—especially with cleanliness and guest concerns—needs improvement.
We’ve stayed at the Embassy Suites in Grand Rapids several times now, and it’s always been a great experience. The staff are a huge part of what makes it so special — every single person we’ve encountered, from the front desk team to housekeeping and the dining room staff, has been nothing short of amazing. They’re friendly, helpful, and genuinely make you feel welcome. We will definitely continue using this hotel as our go-to location for everything in Grand Rapids. If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable place with outstanding service, this is it!
