I parked my car here while I was out of the country. Due to a mistake on my part, there was a gap between my parking reservations, but the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in resolving everything. When I returned, my car was exactly as I had left it, with no issues at all. I really appreciate their excellent service and would highly recommend this place!
Last peoples' hair in bathtub. Gross trash between headboard/bed, and behind tv stand/dresser thing. Hotel smelled of cigarette smoke. No free breakfast. We don't mind an old hotel so long as it's clean. This one was not clean. Previous guests trash in bathroom. Toilet needed maintenance. Only reason it's two stars instead of one is cuz Norman at the front desk was cool.
This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel in Dearborn. The thermostat in my room was not working I.e the fan was not turning off so the it was on all the time and it was load. I call the front desk. The guy at the front desk told me to come down and he will try to get me another room. They didn’t have the exact room available so they gave me a free upgrade. That was a nice touch. The front lobby at this hotel is gorgeous. It has a mini water fall. It’s beautiful. Other noteworthy observations, the elevator and hallway carpet are a bit dated. It does not have a functional card access in the elevator for added access safety. Lots of free parking and a swimming pool onsite. There is a large gathering area in the front lobby next to the restaurant with tables and chairs for hosting functions. Lot of meetings rooms as well. Very close to the freeway. There is a shopping mall 7 minutes away.
It is the worst double tree I've been to. Lobby is impeccable, hotel is beautiful but the service is horrible. Room were not made every day, coffee never replenished, room was not really clean, towel we're not changed when on the floor they where just left there and there was no washcloth we had to ask every day at the lobby to get them. Air conditioning was smelling old wet dog and lot of noise and nothing was done. I've been to at least 30 doubletree and this is the worst service I ever got
Check in process was easy and front desk staff were nice. The location is not ideal, in a rough part of town, and lots of trash in parking lot and surrounding areas. The hallways, commons areas, and rooms were disgusting. There were old socks, hangers, room cards, and other mysterious items behind the tv stand and under the end tables. The pool was cloudy and paint peeling all over the sides. Very outdated. Would not recommend or stay again.
