did not let us check in at 1:30 even when they said earlier in the week we could check in around noon. what hotel makes you par for parking? They really acted like this was the ritz, food at terrace was mid at best. The server didnt give a crap about us until he figured out we had a room. If they acted more like a normal hotel and not fake being a fancy one the place could be good.

While the facilities themselves were nice, the service was terrible. For paying almost $400 for one night I would have expected a little more common sense from the staff. I was woken up 3 times before check out which was extremely frustrating. We had a late night and were planning on taking a nap after breakfast until check out, to recover. We also arranged with the front desk a noon check out, which was the perfect amount of time to nap. At around 9am, cleaning staff barged into the room waking us. Then the cleaning staff came back right at 11 and banged on the door. I told them I had a late checkout. Shortly after, the phone in the room rang from the front desk. Apparently the late check out was not communicated. Being startled over 3 times in the morning while trying to catch up on rest was infuriating. On top of that, the breakfast was terrible. For $50 (2 people) we got the equivalent of high school cafeteria quality options, and staff that didn't seem to enjoy being bothered for basic breakfast things like toast or milk. It was such an odd experience. I regret spending a dime on this place and will probably stick to Hilton from now on.
Parking is not free, lesson learned ($33 extra). Great customer service. I accidentally booked the room for the night before, and they were very accommodating. Exceptional room. Loved the gym facility! The location was a little confusing, as there's a conference center close to the hotel. Unfortunately, there aren't many walking locations here unless you are golfing.
Arrived gorgeous golf course friendly front desk, clean room then went to eat at bar restaurant was helped by Gabriel. He was professional, courteous, detailed, excellent suggestions on the menu. Food was perfectly prepared young lady I apologize I didn't catch her name delivered food asked every question needed for us to eat the meals with out needing anything then Gabriel again. I love great customer service makes everything great. They understand there value and importance to the team and I love it. First time here if ever in Detroit again definitely will stay. Fair pricing on room and food really have zero complaints
First off. Its Ypsilanti, not anywhere nice or even near a city, so charging $33 for self parking per night is complete and utter BS. With that said, This place is tired. There is a refreshing underway but its like polishing a bowel movement. The lobby appears to be well appointed, but after the very underwhelming front desk experience, you get to ride in the 40 year old elevator with the slamming doors and strong smell of weed smoke. I guess that's just Michigan now, but I digress. The room I got was what I reserved. A "larger" corner room. The "larger" room had a vanity area about 28" wide. As a man, with a toothbrush and a razor I could handle it. But any woman I've ever met needs at least 2x that much counter space. There wasn't enough space for a hairdryer. If you're refreshing the rooms, maybe make them better instead of covering up the old stuff. The main big lamp didn't work. It just flashed so everything was dark with just the bedside lamps. The toilet seat was so loose I almost fell off. Overall, the price would have to be real right to stay there again
