Raul was an amazing guide. Not only did he expertly handle the traffic, his knowledge of the area and the community is unmatched. He made the day very enjoyable and would recommend him to anyone

Recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience from start to finish! Our guide was absolutely fantastic professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history, culture, and hidden gems of the area. Great atmosphere Party of 2 Best for couples or groups
The visit to Freda Kahlo museums and Xochimilco were fine. The museums were colorful and insightful. Xochilmico Boat Tour was engaging but majority of time had us stuck on river due to traffic, not steady movement with lots of boats bumping into one another. Experience was marred by transport to and from each location. My father and I were picked up first in the morning at our hotel at 750am. The mid seats were folded back and we were asked to climb into the third seat back row which was cramped with just us two (squatting with knees up, along with our small backpacks on laps). We then picked up four other tour guests at another location which had our guide, Raul, also squeeze into the back third row with us. We traveled for maybe another 45min to Coyocan to visit the town and museums, luckily not much traffic because it was hot and uncomfortable with close quarters in the back row. Could not move, I was sandwiched and my Dad pressed to side with legs uncomfortable and upright more than normal seating position. Even guide commented on vehicle saying maybe need more space next time. After the museum tour we were asked to get back into same car another drive to Xochimilco Boat tour about another hour or so cramped in back with guide, other guests in passenger seat and mid seats. We hit a bit of traffic since this was just after 1pm, cramped quarters and heat made the drive a bit dizzy and nauseating in back row. Sitting position uncomfortable even for smaller frame, cannot imagine if anyone of taller stature. The cramped seating position in car along with climbing into and out of third back row of vehicle was difficult and tweak my Dad’s knee. Return trip from 2hr boat tour had us cram once again into back row third seat, until we dropped off other four tour guests. Our driver, Damien, asked why we were getting out from the third seat back row as it wasn’t our stop yet. And we told him it was cramped and uncomfortable, we were moving to the open seats. Could have been more enjoyable but accommodations for transport and comfort of all guests should be considered. Confirmation of vehicle transport did not indicate seating arrangements nor additional guest pick up. Overall, experience was ok. Would not recommend unless you have confirmation regarding number of guests along with vehicle transport as this sets tone for trip. Feeling cramped, nauseous, dizzy, not a lot of air flow in back row sitting in squatting position affects your enjoyment of main sites.
We had such a great experience with Raul. He picked us up and dropped us off. He really knew his history. I highly recommend!
Overall, I give this tour 5 stars! Our guide, Raul, picked us up from our hotel and took us to Xochimilco, where we enjoyed a relaxed and intimate boat ride. We were served tacos with queso and guacamole, with the option to purchase micheladas and other drinks. There were also plenty of food vendors and mariachis along the river. Next, we visited Coyoacán for lunch and some time to explore the markets. Raul gave us great recommendations for tacos and churros—both were delicious! We then visited the Frida Kahlo Museum for a self-guided tour before heading back to our hotel. The tour lasted about 8 hours, and Raul was incredibly knowledgeable about Mexico City. He speaks both Spanish and English and made the entire experience enjoyable and easy. Highly recommend!
This was our first time in Mexico City so we decided to book this excursion since it included several stops. Honestly, we got so much more. Raul was such a phenomenal tour guide, and so knowledgeable. Since the beginning of our tour, he picked us up straight from our hotel and drove with caution all the way to Xochimilco pointing out little landmarks and giving us some background info, and even recommending a couple food and entertainment stops for later. During the boat ride, he went over the history of Xochimilco and was so hospitable. We were provided yummy tacos and the opportunity to purchase drinks. After the ride, we were then escorted to Coyoacán and given about an hour and a half to explore the city and eat at one of the places Raul had recommended. It did NOT disappoint. He showed us a couple more historic landmarks and gave us the history over them which was so interesting to learn. We then had the opportunity to explore the Frida Kahlo Museum unguided which I definitely recommend. This experience was so great and really made the trip for us. Raul was excellent and dropped us back off at our hotel and continued to give us some more recommendations. I would highly recommend this experience!
Raul was our driver and guide, and he was amazing from beginning to end! He was very informative and pointed out different landmarks along the way. Being picked up and dropped off directly from where we were staying was super convenient, and it was nice not having to worry about any of the tickets. We went on a Friday morning and were picked up at 8:30 a.m. Luckily, the boats were fairly empty, and our excursion only had five people total (three were from our group), which made it feel more personal. We really enjoyed the tacos and opportunity to purchase drinks. Afterward, we explored Coyoacán and visited the Frida Kahlo Museum before being dropped back off at our hotel around 5:00 p.m. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City!
Wonderful, fun day in Xochimilco! The place is surreal. So much color and the local vendors do their best to offer their services without being pushy, they are just trying to make a living and genuinely try to make you have fun. Coyoacán was very lively and enjoy the markets and the food! Tacos al pastor, yumm! Frida Kahlo's museum was also very interesting, although there aren't that many of her paintings here, but a lot of her history. Raul (Chino), our guide was awesome! He is a local from Xochimilco, and offered us his insights about this magical place!
Amazing experience, the tour guide was amazing and very accommodating, we had a fantastic experience
This trip was beautiful and very fun
Raul was an amazing chauffeur, tour guide, recommender of restaurants, boat host and so much more. What a joy to spend the day with him. He was so patient and sensitive to what we wanted with our day and so knowledgeable about all things Mexico. Thank You Raul!!!
The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly! We had a great time at each stop, and they gave us plenty of time to shop, eat and walk around. We would definitely recommend for groups and families looking to explore this part of Mexico City!
Sebastian was a great guide and translator! He brought us to some great food spots and answered all our pestering questions. The transit very conveniently brought us to areas that would’ve been a challenge to get to otherwise, too.
We got picked up at the hotel and had a great time on the boats, around the city, and at the Frida house. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was nice going around with a local who knows all the great food places for cheap! My favorite part was rowing the boat!
Great day with good food and family friendly experience
Such a wonderful experience. We got everything we were looking for, and more, from the whole experience!
We were very pleased with our experience! Our guide Sebastian was very knowledgeable and engaging. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Our tour guide Raul did a great job! He communicated well and was punctual, and he gave us helpful information throughout. The only reason I’m putting 4 stars is that the tour was listed as occurring from 9 AM - 2 PM, but we found out when we arrived that it would last until 5 PM. It was worthwhile, but it would have been helpful to know the timing ahead of time.
We had an amazing time on our day trip to xochitmico and Coayacan. Our guide, Raul Morales, was friendly and knowledgeable on the history of both cities. He made our trip memorable!
Raul was very friendly, informative and helpful! We also loved trying the local foods, the canals were a blast and Frida’s home was beautiful and inspiring!
Well rounded experience. We were able to check out different cities. Raul was a wonderful, friendly tour guide.
Visiting both Xochimilco and Coyoacan with our tour guide was truly a great experience. His level of hospitality and welcoming personality made our tour both fun and insightful. There was a lot to see and learn about. Thank you Raul!
Our tour was amazing from pick up to the end. Our tour guide Miguel was incredibly kind and helpful during the whole tour explaining in detail the various locations we visited. Xochimilco, which was the highlight of the tour for my wife and I. We had so much fun on the chinampas, eating some yummy food, and even got to see some axolotls. We plan on coming back again one day with friends and family. Our visit to Coyoacán was also amazing seeing the home of Frida Khalo and town was so much fun and educational as well. Can’t say enough how great our tour guide Miguel was as our guide. Thank you so much!
Our guide was very informative and attentive. The day was full of fun adventures and I would absolutely recommend. 10/10. No notes.
Sabastian was an amazing guide!!
SO DISAPPOINTING- WE WASTED MOST OF THE DAY - HOURS- IN THE CAR TRAVELING FROM PLACE TO PLACE-this was not clear from the write up. Need to have done much more research and have taken a geography lesson to realize that this was not a walking tour, but we were being taken by car from place to place. WHAT A COLOSSAL WASTE OF TIME! The CANALS: THE MOST TOURISTY AND COMMERCIAL THING. We were one of LITERALLY 100’s of boats that clogged this “canal” (more like a tiny waterway)with everyone hawking their wares. It was not enjoyable. The “ floating garden” we were supposed to see was a plant store. The icing on the cake was a silver jewelry salesman boarded our boat to sell his wares. It might have been fun if there were ALOT of people in our party- other boats looked like they were party boats with lots of drinking. Not something we were interested in at 10:30AM. Coyoacan was a lovely town and the Frida Kahlo house was terrific, but we had already spent most of the day traveling and were exhausted by the time we got there. And we went through the museum on our own, so did not need the tour company for that. The one redeeming part was our guide, Ismael was very good.
We had a great day with Raul, visiting Xochimilco, Coyuacan and Museo Casa Kahlo. This is a relatively new museum of Frida Kahlo family life that offers a different perspective of Kahlo. Must see!!! Transportation was excellent.
We had a great time touring Mexico City, Xochimilco, and Coyoacan with Ismael. It was a beautiful day and he was very well informed on the history of each site we observed throughout the day. Ismael was also very accommodating to any changes or additional stops we wanted to make - i.e. - Churros, Tostadas, and the bathroom haha! There were no surprise extra fees and if there were additional costs (beer etc.) he let us know up front, which I appreciate. This was an amazing day and I’m glad I have some amazing silver jewelry to remember the time spent with my friends and our newest friend.
From timely pick up through the entire tour, Raul kept us well informed & entertained. All arrangements - boat tour & Frieda Kahlo museum visit - were well organized.
Amazing Tour, spent all day with my loved one and our tour guide Raul. He was very knowledgeable and always had great facts during our whole trip. Any question we asked he would always have an answer to. We spent the morning in the famous trajineras in xochimilco and then drove down to coyoacan and had a chance to walk around and try the amazing coffee and food. Ended the day with the frida kahlo museum, and then a great ride home. I would definitely recommend this to any traveler coming to visit mexico. Party size was 2, and the tour was available in both english and spanish.
Amazing day with our guide Raùl! The tout has so much to offer with the boat in Xochimilco (with tacos!), visit of Coyoacan and Frida museum. We really recommand it!
Highly recommend doing this tour to explore outside of the center of CDMX! We were able to experience a lot. My family enjoyed their time. The only downside was that there was a lot of traffic due to construction for the World Cup but we were still able to go everywhere on the itinerary. I would suggest not planning anything immediately after as the traffic is unpredictable. Raul was an amazing tour guide and conducted the tour with such a positive attitude. He spoke great English and answered all of our questions. He also is a local to Xochimilco and we were able to get a truly authentic tour from him. You will not be disappointed if you have him as your guide. Thank you for a wonderful time, Raul!
Our tour guide and driver Raul was very accommodating and he spoke good English. He knows a lot of the places we went to. We had a good time with him. I definitely recommend this tour and Raul when you are in Mexico.
We had a fantastic time! The route was thoughtfully planned. Our group was just 5 people so they catered to us. Our tour guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful. We had plenty of time to do everything on the itinerary and never felt rushed. Raul, thank you for the great memories! Definitely recommend.
This was an amazing tour, started the day with a hotel pick-up on time and friendly staff. The Xochimilco experience was excellent our guide was knowledgeable and took us to many cultural experiences, mariachi, garden and tasted pulque(fermented cactus) for the first time. Coyoacan market is vibrant with lots of shopping and a beautiful church. Our guides took us to a market with so many options for food and shopping. Our tour of Casa Azul, they pre booked our tickets and time. We had no worries other than to enjoy days. The day ended and offer to take us to a store or bank if we needed and incidental before we headed back to the hotel. They were very friendly and didn’t mind answering any of our questions about shopping and food outside of our tour Definitely would book with chilling tours again. Shout out to Cesar and Isis for being amazing.
Xochimilco is a feast for the senses and our guides helped us experience it to the fullest. Mariachi, pulque and a garden tour. We toured Coyoacán and learned about its history. Recommendations for lunch and some free time to tour the market and art. Thankfully the tour came with tickets to La Casa Azul because it was sold out. Our guides were knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions about our tour and all things Mexico City. Chillingtours gets 12 thumbs up from our group of 6. (Air conditioned bus ride was very comfortable too. Props to the driver who braved those streets!)
really awesome experience! our guide and the 2 trainees were so knowledgeable, personable and thoughtful! would definitely book with them again
Eduardo was a great guide! He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Brandon was so patient and a great guide. He was able to share details and answer questions and he had a great sense of humor. I would definitely recommend.
Raul was such a great guide for our Xochimicil tour. He’s such a pleasant, vibrant personality who obviously loves his Mexican history and his job. The canal trip was a lot of fun. We enjoyed eating tacos with him in Cuyoacon and visiting Frieda’s museum. We truly enjoyed spending the day with Raul and would recommend him to all!
Our experience was to Xochimilco , Coayacan and the Frida Khalo museum (red house). Very private VIP service because it was only us. Our guide was Raul, he was very nice and a great driver especially in a lot of traffic. He was also very knowledgeable and gave us great information regarding culture, way of life , and history. We also had some free time to do our own thing. Highly recommend this tour and guide !
Raul led us though a wonderful day. The boat ride through the canals were a lasting memory. Fantastic experience!
Great day with our tour guide, Raul! Super friendly and catered to both English and Spanish speakers. He picked us up from the hotel and we headed to our first stop in Xochimilco then Coyoacán. It was a great experience and highly recommend this tour!
