Armando was a great guide and very informative. Provided variety of beverages for us. Highly recommend this tour, riding a trajinera was awesome, leaving us with wanting more time on the canals. We were able to pay for few songs from a mariachi. Drink and food trajineras were accessible as well. As with going anywhere here expect a long car ride

This was our second tour with Huapango travels. On the drive to xochimilco Alex explained to us important landmarks. Once at xochimilco dock, everything was smooth, they had a trajinera (boat) ready for us. Alex and David provided us beverages and snacks but you can also buy extra things from the vendors locally. We had a great time and so she may go and it's definitely a must do at least once if you're new to Mexico City. We were able to stop and check out the axolotl display as well. Afterwards David and Alex accompanied us to The Day of the Dead parade and stayed with us the whole time and were excellent hosts making sure we were comfortable the entire time. Excellent communication and punctuality. Can't say enough about this agency don't hesitate to book with them.

Our guides were amazing and I would definitely use them again. We only did a short boat tour and it was early on a Sunday so I would recommend going later in the day on a weekend when it's more vibrant. But we still had a great time!

Armando and David were amazing. Armando knew so much about the history of the country and culture. He was incredibly smart but personable. David did an incredible job driving through the Mexcio traffic and was very kind.

This tour operator provided over-the-top service. We had a family group and they picked us up at our b&b. Armand told interesting stories about the history of Mexico City all the way to Xochimilco and back. During the boat ride he told all about the culture of the community there and the agriculture. They gave us lots of little ’extras’. The staff were all wonderful companions on the tour. It was an amazing day that we can’t stop talking about!

David and Armando were fantastic! They were very knowledgeable and helpful, and we learned so much throughout the tour. The tour of the Xochimilco canals with Huapango Travels was all that we had hoped it would be. It was excellent. We wanted a quiet, private tour and they delivered . It was fun to see other party boats, but at a distance. They picked us up at the Dolores Olmeda Museo and, at the end of the canal tour, delivered us to our hotel in Cuauhtémoc. In addition to being informative and affable guides, they assisted my husband up and down stairs because he walks with a cane and needs assistance. We would highly recommend this highly professional group.

My husband and I took an early tour to Xochimilco. Our tour guides David and Alan were prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. We got along so well that after we finished our tour we ended up taking the private tour to see the parts of Mexico City that were still on our list. They really took their time showing us what we wanted, never feeling rushed. They were both great tour guides!!!

The trip on Xochimilco has been a unique experience, a blend of traditional Mexican hospitality with the colorful and upbeat sights of the Xochimilco cannals. The soothing music of the mariachi, the sweet smell of food, traditional crafts and lot of fun. I believe it is a bargain and a must do activity if you visit CDMX.

We had a great time on the trajinera. Garbi shared history about the area on the ride, and was very knowledgeable. Great tour for our multigenerational group of kids, grandparents, teens.

Alex our tour guide was AMAZING!! Pick up was prompt, his car was sparkling clean, we were offered cool water and Alex was extremely patient with our family. He opened up by asking us many questions and educating our family on México and its rich history. Alex took us to two of our bucket list places after our tour which for me personally was the highlight for our family. A surprise and delicious delight not expected. Alex was a great guide. Picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off where we asked to be dropped. Tour was very entertaining. We visited a habitat and kids were able to hold snakes, geckos and baby crocs. Snacks water and soda provided.

Friendly people on the boat. Food was cooked in another small boat. Flavourful. A lot of colourful boats on the water. Music often played by other boat.

BOOK THIS TOUR NOW EVEN IF YOU HAVE LITTLE ONES! The tour was amazing! Pickup was prompt (actually a little early) from our hotel and our guide (Alex) was super informative. I speak Spanish, but my husband doesn’t, so our tour guide (Alex) had no problem speaking in English for the whole tour. From the moment he picked us up Alex was so kind and informative and fun. We booked the private tour specifically because we have young children (4 and 8) and we didn’t want to bother other adult only groups and be able to just relax and have fun as a family. Well, have fun we did. We arrived at Xochimilco and we also had a private boat! We loved it. Other boats had a party vibe (which is totally fine love that), but ours was chill for the kids and geared towards talking about things everyone enjoys. Our guide listened to my kids about how much they love animals and how they want to see an axolotl in real life. He definitely delivered. He had the boat stop at a really cool spot where we got to hold and take photos with various reptiles and they also had quite a few axolotls to see. BRING LOTS OF PESOS. We were glad we did. We opted to support a lot of the locals in the area and bought elote, paid for a song from the mariachis who then came onto our boat to sing to us, paid for the animal encounters, and of course bought a few souvenirs. Everything was fairly priced and we were happy to support locals and their families. We loved the tour with Alex as our guide so much that we booked a custom tour with him on Monday. It’s wonderful going around with someone knowledgeable because it takes the stress out of figuring things out. I highly recommend this tour and would book it again in a heartbeat.

David and Hector were so great! We had a lovely morning at Xochimilco. We wanted a quick taste of the experience so this was perfect amount of time - we got picked up at 9am, had an hour in the boat, and were dropped off by around noon. We went on a Monday morning so there wasn’t much boat traffic on the canals. They were both great guides - very friendly, funny, and helpful.

My family of 4 adults and 1 kid had a great time! We booked a standard tour but they offered us a private one as courtesy. The guide and guide/ drive were warm, knowledgeable and fun. They took the time to get to know us, what we liked, what interested us to tailor the experience/ tour towards our interests. We loved them so much we will do a second tour with them. Extremely recommended, specially if you have kids. We were able to go at our pace, had our questions answered and offered great pieces of history as we drove through the city. The vehicle was pristine, comfortable and had AC. The tour guide reached out with a day in advance to coordinate pick up. The tour guides took pics and videos of us with our phones. 5 starts from start to finish.

This was a unique and special experience with knowledgable tour guides. The boats and canal were beautiful and well worth visiting. This is a location where I was glad we had tour guides. Without guides I think it would have been somewhat overwhelming and confusing to arrive, choose and pay for a boat. With David and Hector it was a breeze. They provided helpful information all along the way and while there. We could see the advantage of doing this trip mid-week in mid-May resulting in a lack of crowds.

We really enjoyed our trip to Xochimilco with David and Hector. They were excellent guides. We enjoyed not having to share our boat with a larger group. The canal was relaxing and all of the vendor boats were quite interesting. If you want to go to Xochimilco, book it with them.

Our excursion with David and Alex was top notch from beginning to end. They were prompt with our pickup time and passed the travel time with facts, history, and culture. Upon arrival, they let us explore the area and buy some souvenirs before embarking upon our boat journey. They also talked our group into trying crickets! The spices they use make it pretty tasty—try it! On the boat, they helped us secure a mariachi band experience, an up close and personal look at exotic and indigenous animals, and order elotes. They provided drinks and snacks on the boat and explained the history behind the experience. Having tour guides who were personable, friendly, and able to help us translate made this excursion one of our favorites on this trip. We had a fantastic boat ride and trip overall! Five adults and four kids ages 8-12. Alex, Rodolopho and Davíd were our guides and were amazing. They were patient, got us everywhere safe, and full of information. We all got to learn more about the beautiful city of Mexico City, the culture and the food, and more. We mentioned wanting to see axolotls during our visit and they found somewhere for us to stop in Xochimilco! We also all tried fried crickets (with their encouragement!) and they turned out to be delicious. Alex could answer every question we had and Davíd helped the kids practice their Spanish. Highly recommend for anything you want to see in and around CDMX!

Great place to visit, lots of interesting history. Long drive so make sure to ask for transport in a large enough vehicle (ensure enough full seats for each person) otherwise it is an uncomfortable drive.

We had a great experience with Huapango Travels. Hector and David, our guides, were very friendly and well organized. They picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Xochimilco. Driving was safe and comfortable. The tour on the canals were fun and relaxing. We were able to make some stops to different sites.

Had a wonderful day with Alex and David visiting Xochimilco floating gardens. They arranged for our group of 8 to have our own boat, and told us interesting facts about the history and culture of the area. They were very accommodating, bringing long on mariachis when we wanted to har music, but not pressuring us to visit other vendors if we were not interested. Snacks and drinks for us to have the boat, which was very nice. They really tailored the experience to our interests. Bravo, Alex & David!!!

David was an amazing guide, he arrived early to get us and was happy to wait until we were all ready, great driver on the way. The trajinera tour was very peaceful and David and the crew were helpful and flexible. We wanted to extend our time on the water and they made it very easy and affordable (and I would encourage everyone to ask for extra time), and helped us navigate getting drinks, music and a bathroom break along the way. Afterwards we asked David to take us to lunch somewhere we'd otherwise never find and he found us an amazing restaurant and took all the time we needed before getting us back to our hotel mid afternoon. The trip was easy, the experience was great, we didn't feel any pressure and David was creative and accommodating of all of our requests. Can't recommend enough!

We wanted to get the Xochimilco experience on our first visit to CDMX. Edgar was a delightful tour guide who provided us history of the area and what to expect on our trajinera ride. Our boatman was strong and skilled maneuvering the craft with a wood pole. We enjoyed some grilled corn, beers, listened to good Mariachi musicians, and got a young jewelry design student to show us his works. Ivan as was good driver who picked us up at our lodging on time and transported us safely.

The company was amazing! There was some mixup with our reservation but David worked it out and sent us a private car and tour guide (english speaking) for our tour! Edgar was the guide and Hector was our driver and both were fabulous! They shared so much of the history and the knowledge of Mexico City and Xoxhimilco!

This tour of Xochimilco was lovely. As a family we wanted to see it but without all the intense partying that seems to happen on some of the other tours. This was the perfect way to get to experience it as a family. I cannot say enough good things about our guide, David. He was fantastic through every portion of the trip and went above and beyond. We will only book tours with him as much as possible in the future when we go back to Mexico City.

Excellent! The best river trip on my life! I enjoyed the amazing experience, sights and all the highlight that David showed us. The Mariachi song " Mujeres divinas" melted my hart with every string.

It was a kind of fun thing to do. But I wouldn't going back anytime soon. The food was cut short because of the heavy traffic on the canal. Our tour guy Hugo negotiated boat rental to let us visit one of the nursery just to compensate for the most of time while waiting for other boat to pass us, which is very nice and we appreciated a lot.
