Our hosts Beto and Shadia were absolutely wonderful, and they made the experience more than worth it. We were provided snacks (fruit, chicharrones, etc), tamales that were really good, and they kept the shots of tequila and mezcal coming! They also told us a bit about the canals, the legend of la llorona, and about the tequila/mezcal we were having too. I think my favorite part was when we got the chance to navigate the boat, which was a lot harder than it looks but super fun anyway! 10/10 would recommend, don’t hesitate!
Terrific time! Start out with a group of strangers and end as friends who shared food, drink, and laughs. Learned a bit of culture as we floated down the canal. Oscar the tour guide made the atmosphere so fun and went out of his way to make a birthday special. On the lead up to the trip Mau was wonderfully kind and responsive to all my questions.
Fun float down the river! The history and nature is amazing!
Great host! Was so fun got to know all of us
So much fun! Our group of 20 went for my 50th birthday and had the best time. Did not feel rushed, and we were able to get off the boat a few times for pictures. Colorful, lively and educational! Our guides were great too!
We came as a group of college friends, and for several of us it was our first time in the city. It couldn't have gone better. They start with the history of Mexico City and Xochimilco, and it's genuinely interesting; it gives you context for everything you see afterward. Then they take you through the quieter part of the canals, which is by far the prettiest. For first-timers it's the perfect mix: you learn something and have a blast. Our hosts were incredibly nice. We were having such a good time that we were able to extend the tour, no problem. The food and drinks were delicious. If you're visiting with friends from out of town, this is the plan. 100% recommend.
We had a great time on the trajinera tour in Xochimilco with Paseana! Everything was very well organized, our guide was super friendly, and we really enjoyed learning more about the area and its traditions. Such a fun and authentic experience, I’d definitely recommend it!
It was my first time going to Xochimilco, so I really wanted to have a great first experience; I saw this tour and liked the look of it, but actually experiencing it was something else entirely—I had such a fantastic time. It was an incredibly fun experience that I highly recommend. My guide, Oscar, was the best; we had shots and the food was delicious. It was truly the best decision I could have made—I highly recommend it!
This was the best experience I had in Mexico City! I really enjoyed and had fun with friends. The food was awesome and I loved the Xochimilco landscape so much. It was the perfect balance between having fun, but enjoying being outdoors! I would repeat this experience anytime and recommend it with anyone visiting Mexico City.
I would highly recommend this experience. We went there with our family and friends and we had a great time. There was a lot of history and fun time!
Amazinng experience once in a lifetime want to come back sooon
I wish the entree and tequila options would be more versatile. We unfortunately were not a fan of the tamales provided. Other than that the staff was amazing both the rowers and the host of the day. They were such a fun time and super interactive. The price is accurate and makes complete sense. I wish the visit could be longer because we loved it so much
Great and unforgettable experience
We went to Mexico City for a Professional Development conference and then headed to Xochimilco. Great experience all around - the stories told by our guide, the food, drinks and bonding with colleagues. Three hours was a good amount of time on the “trajinera” too. Cannot wait to plan a family/ friends Xochimilco experience with Paseana again.
I had previously been to Xochimilco to a different Embarcadero and tour agency, this was definitely more memorable, enjoyful and fun overall. The meeting instructions were clear and our guide Ale was very attentive. My group enjoyed the mix of history and facts at the start and then getting to know the group and dancing the rest of the way!
No doubt we made the correct decision by choosing this experience. The guide was friendly, the tamales were great and the trips length was perfect. I've recommended them to friends and coworkers several times and received good comments
Such a afternoon Great experience
Such a fun experience! We did this as part of my friend’s bachelorette trip, and it was a blast. The food and drinks were great, and Beto, our tour guide, was so much fun to chat with. We had over 3 hours of an amazing time. Highly recommend!
Best bachelorette party in Xochimilco! I chose Pasena for my bachelorette party, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My friends and I had an unforgettable time from start to finish. They helped me organize everything, so I didn’t have to worry about a single detail and could just enjoy the day. The team was incredibly friendly, professional, and made the whole experience so much fun. If you’re planning a celebration in Xochimilco, I highly recommend Pasena. I can’t wait to come back!
I had the best time on this tour! Our guide Oscar made sure everyone got acquainted and we were soon enjoying the tour as friends. Loved that it started with some facts and history and then transformed into dancing and fun! Best day in Mexico City!
Shadia was so excellent!!!! We absolutely loved our experience and can not recommend it more for anyone wanting a nature, cultural, historical but also FUN experience. It is a beautiful experience/getaway from being in the big city. Could not love it more ❤️
Luis Fe was an excellent guide, always making sure that the guests are enjoying themselves and explaining everything
3 hour trip, where you get historical information about the area and an opportunity to try Pulque along the way. Arturo, our guide, and Roberto, our rowing captain were both great.
The organizer was very helpful. He answered immediately when I called when I did not see the host at the designated meeting point. Once I found the group we had another 20 minutes before debarking (1430 trip left at 1500). The host did an amazing job making the experience fun and informative. I booked fairly last minute after already being in CMDX the week of Día de muertos and hearing about Xochimilco and it ended up being one of the highlights of the entire trip. I will recommend this to anyone regardless of where they are from.
Let's be honest. It's a booze cruise. The area is beautiful and generally peaceful (before several rounds of Mezcal/Tequila), but it's mostly just drinking on a boat. Most everyone also brought their own alcohol on top of what was offered. You aren't going to get a lot of information about the canals, the wildlife, horticulture, or history, which is a little sad considering it's a UNESCO site. If you are looking for that, there are sunrise kayak tours. In retrospect, I wish I'd done that. Also, if you have concern for animal welfare, do NOT visit the ajolotario/ajolote sanctuary - it tainted the entire experience for me. Having said all of that, the guides were really fun and friendly and the tamales were excellent. Also, bring cash if you want to hear the Mariachis - they're great!
Such a great tour with Maria! We were a little worried because it was a very rainy Monday, but us and the other group on the trip had a blast. Maria was informative and fun, and we enjoyed learning about the history of Xochimilco and having some great tequila. Would totally recommend!
The experiencia was incredible, great views and host. During the trip they explained the history of the lake of Xochimilco and played really good music to dance and drink.
Highly recommend! Our tour guide, Christine, was incredible and all the vendors we encountered along the way were awesome. Not to mention the food and mezcal that were included in our tour - everything was delicious! Don't miss this!
It was an amazing experience. Maria was our host and she was simply great. I wish the food could be better. The tamales were sad so would suggest to grab some food with you for the ride. U will find fruits and margarita vendors along the way.
What a great time! We learned so much about the history and culture of the area, all while enjoying the mescal and tequila and lunch. Christina, and Cris, our guide and tranijero, were very good at creating a fun atmosphere and drawing together a diverse group of people. Highly recommended.
We went on this tour as part of a bachelor party and had a fantastic time! A good mix of local history, beautiful surroundings, and lots of tequila/mezcal. Highly recommended!
I copied the driving directions from my email and was taken to an incorrect location. the host was unwilling to offer even a partial refund. will not be using Trip advisor in the future.
We had a great time tasting tequila/mezscal and making new friends! We are only giving this 4 stars because we would’ve liked to hear a little more about the history of Xochimilco.
Excellent environment, very prepared and respectful hosts. Highly recommend in order to have an amazing moment with friends and meet new people.
I loved the Cuemanco pier to really appreciate Xochimilco. The views were amazing. My host knew what she was talking about, and even though I was alone, it was so much fun. The highlight of the tour was La Llorona Island and the tequila and mezcal brands we tried. I would definitely repeat it soon.
My friend and I booked this experience and it was the most unexpected adventure we had on our trip! Our tour guide did such an excellent job sharing stories of the area and making us feel comfortable. This is a GREAT way to meet other travelers! We started off slow but once the drinks started flowing it turned into a full blown party boat! SUCH A GREAT TIME! This is your sign to book this experience
I highly recommend this trip if you want to visit Xochilmilco and you're a fan of mezcal and/or tequila. We had a fabulous experience thanks to our wonderful host. She was knowledgeable and friendly and really funny. It's a great way to experience Xochilmilco in a really fun way. The experience included drinks, and lunch, and three stops along the way.
Of course worth it!!! They asked us to move our reservation up so we could join another group. We didnt mind it: it was a great time. As a group, we opted to hire marachi band (~$800 mxn pesos for 4 songs) Arturo was our guide: he made sure everyone had a great time! Great energy. Definitely worth it; even if traveling solo.
Awesome time. Arturo was amazing and very knowledgeable. He made sure we had a good time while also learning about the history. Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful experience going down Xochimilco with Christine as our guide! Super fun, good mescal and tequila, delicious lunch, and we learned tons about the history of the canals and the local islands. Would highly recommend!
It was a wonderful experiencie filled with lots of fun delicius food and culture. I’m really happy having take the tours
This is one of the best tours I've ever done! From start to end, everything was amazing. My guide was super knowledgebale and fun, providing our group a nice balance of history, culture and party. The area in itself is absolutely beautiful, so if you're looking for a truly authentic experience in Mexico, don't hesitate, this is it! I'm so glad my friends and I decided to do this.
The tour was great, it is one of the best I have taken in Mexico so far, it's very fun and highly recommended. If you want history, beautiful landscapes, good food, wonderful mariachi music and lots of fun, you have to book now!!!
It was an amazing experience!!! I from Mexico City and I have been in Xochimilco so many times before but this was by far the most fun I ever had in a trajinera (the boat). The tour guide, Christine was not only fun but also very knowledgeable, we learned a lot about the history of this place, the local culture and wild life, also about tequila and mezcal, and interesting facts about Xochimilco and Mexico City. She was so very high energy and making sure everyone was having fun. Isa was also very helpful from the beginning when we were making the booking and making sure we had all the information we needed for a great experience, even when the Uber driver tried to trick us to take us to a different place insisting that the Embarcadero de Cuemanco was closed, Isa texted me not to trust him because that’s very common that the Uber driver will try to take you somewhere else to make some extra money, unfortunately we were not the only ones, same thing happened to another couple in our group. Despite the unfortunate Uber experience, we had a great time and would totally recommend this tour!!!
Amazing experience! This is hands down the best way to experience Xochimilco! A great combination of nature, history, music, and SO much fun! This definitely makes it to the top of my list for CDMX recs.
What a fun afternoon! Our guide Oscar was great to hang out with. He told us all about the history, served great tequila and mezcal, and was a blast! Can’t wait to be back.
What an enjoyable experience! Luis was punctual and easy to locate at the meeting point; he was a great guide, ensuring everyone was actively involved in the conversation. I can't wait to revisit and bring along family and friends, as I believe anyone would thoroughly enjoy this adventure. The blend of music, drinks, and dancing is fantastic, coupled with enriching cultural insights and engaging conversations. Be sure to pay attention to the details in their description – remember to bring cash and ensure your Uber drops you off at the correct location.
I loved this tour, it was an exceptionally fantastic and distinctive experience. I had the opportunity to meet people from various parts of the world, share laughs, and gained valuable insights into the world of Xochimilco, while enjoying Tequila & Mezcal. Our guide, Luis, was incredibly friendly, adept at addressing all our questions, and truly the best guide one could ask for.
I had an incredible time on this tour. María's storytelling abilities were truly impressive, especially when delving into the legend of La Llorona. The availability of mezcal and tequila was abundant, allowing for a delightful drinking experience. The lunch provided was delicious as well. Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing experience that has left me eager to revisit Xochimilco the next time I return to Mexico City.
