1. This tour is not true as the itinerary. The tour starts with a stop that is a silver store for shopping. 2. Xochimilco part is too commercial. You go with a boat for an hour in a narrow and crowded canal full of all the tour boats. Then again, there is a local stayed in your boat from the beginning to sell handicrafts, shopping again. 3. for the Ciudad Universitaria part, we only stopped in a mural, we did not go to other parts of the university, then why the listing state "Ciudad Universitaria" Admission Ticket Included? ? we were only in the part that does not require tickets.

Excellent experience. This is the best tour of all the options for this city which is Venice of Mexico. Also historic town visit was great. That town’s small indigenous peoples shops and streets were very interesting. Old church was beautiful with gold covered 12 altars.
It’s fuller than ever because of tourism. BUT it’s just so iconic. It’s a must do, highly recommend!
Everything was grest except Xocimilco was horrible. Nothing like I thought it would be. 100 boats in the way crashing into each other. I saw about 2 city blocks of the 17 miles of canals. Not the tours fault. Its just the clay it's been set up. Biggest disappointment of my trip. Will never go back and I will tell anyone I know to skip it.
Our driver was Juan and the guide was Carlos, the were amazing. We were a small group which made it even more personal. Carlos has his masters in archeological so his insight on the ruins, history of the areas we visited were all top notch. In our tour to Xochimilco he organized a "home cooked" meal for our boat which was amazing and super authentic. It was an amazing experience and definitely a must. Make sure you ask for Carlos and Juan you will not be disappointed.
Our experience turned out to be a 'private' tour because the others in our group didn't arrive on time. So that meant we could go at our own pace and stop at a couple shops while walking. The elements didn't disappoint; they were all part of a good first visit to get to know the areas (this was not our first visit). The stadium and UNAM were my least favorite, as there was not much to see, but Xochimilco was as fun as ever.
Alan was a great tour guide. We really loved the colorful boats on the river.
Aztec stadium is closed for world cup repairs but this was not mentioned at purchase page. Guide Melissa was not the most knowledgeable and only gave 1 or 2 facts about xochimilco which was just a 1hr trajineras ride without hopping off and on to the houses which other tours would let you visit. Felt like i missed out on a lot. Only good recommendation from Melissa was other museums to visit after the tour. Would not recommend this tour nor the guide Driver Roberto was great- picked us up and dropped us where requested and was fast and quick and yet safe. Hence the 2 stars.
Had a great time definitely recommend and would come back again the mariachi band was awesome the food everything was great
Everything was perfectly paced. Pick up was on time. No issues with anything. I saw children of all ages here. I felt that we got enough time everywhere. The university stop was interesting and long maybe try shorter time at the university and more time at coyocan. I loved the jewlery presentation on the boat and I purchased some gifts. Highly recommend
Xochimilco was fun in a uniquely chaotic and colorful way. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke English and Spanish effortlessly. Challenges: I was the first to be picked up so I was driven around Mexico City for 1.5 hours picking up others before we started on our trip in earnest. The three sites are far apart from one another so we spent a great deal of time in traffic. I left the group in Coyoacan and took the bus and subway back to city center. There was no way I was getting back in that van to sit in more traffic. I would suggest using a competent tour company like this one to go to Xochimilco, and visit the other sites separately using the Metro.
Its a must to do experience. We spend some time on a local.shop and we passed quickly for just a photo from the stadium.and the University. The rode with the boat was nice. Food however was awful. Bring your own food
The day activity did not follow the schedule we had paid for. After the pickup, we got transferred to another vehicle with a new guide (not the name originally provided by the company). The visit to university was skipped and we were taken to a jewellery shop instead. The one hour in Coyoacan became 30 minutes of free time. The Xochimilco was as expected, beautiful and very touristy. Thankfully, the driver agreed to drop us off close to the university instead of our hotel and we could visit the murals on our own. Overall we had a nice day.
Alberto (Pepe) our tour guide and Rafael our driver were very friendly. Both were knowledgeable. Pepe was helpful taking our pictures. We forgot to bring cash and he helped us. He also recommended a few places to visit after our tour. Xochimilco and Coyoacan are beautiful places to visit, very colorful and the food/drinks we had at Xochimilco was very delicious.
Perfect and relax, the guide was so kind to answer the question, and the driver bring us safely to everywhere, would recommend
Where do I start?!: DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS TOUR. 1) This tour is advertised as being in English only. It was not, it was in both Spanish and English. This is not an issue in and of itself but the listing should be updated for transparency. 2) The tour did not start at 8am. It took nearly 2 hours to pick everyone up and we didn’t get to the first stop until 10.30am. 3) The first stop was NOT included in the itinerary listed on Viator and can only be described as a TOURIST TRAP. We spent over an hour looking at pure tat and were left wondering when the actual tour was going to start. Coffee and a mezcal cream shot were free which was a small plus. 4) After spending an hour at the tat shop, we were excited to arrive at the arena and university and start the tour (This was now around 11.30am). Unfortunately, we spent a mere 15 minutes in total at both. The guide’s Explanation was severely lacking and inaccurate. 5) At xochimilco we spent another 20 minutes waiting around for a boat with no explanation from the guide. Food and drinks were good but very expensive and anything paid for by card was subject to a 5% surcharge. 6) Overall, the guide was TERRIBLE and her English was only ok at best. She gave no information at Xochimilco or the arena and The only info provided in Coyoacan was that there was a church on the main square. My guide book gave me more information. What a waste of time and money.
Allen was wonderful. It was a great day. Lots of fun friendly travelers. So much information. Seeing the stadiums was great
Great experience, good guide - pickup and return from your hotel or rental included. Bring pesos if you want to purchase any food, drink or souvenirs.
It was a full day from pick up at your airport to drop off at same location! It was worth the time as sites were very cultural, historic, and artistic! Melissa our tour guide and Ricardo our driver were engaging, informative, insightful and consistently attentive to our questions and needs! Xochimilco was a cultural experience being in the trajenera and discovering the floating gardens on the canals and having authentic Mexican food! It was also an engaging opportunity to get to know our small tour group! A must tour when in Mexico City!
Great tour He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Out standing storyteller. Was very accommodating to our schedule.
The trip was amazing and very insightful with the tour guide giving us history about the places we were exploring, and the boat ride was very peaceful and happy.
All in one, get to know different places in one day. Xochimilco and Coyoacán very nice. Alan our guide was very nice and attentive
I gave it a 4 stars because there are a few things I could have done better. Tour started at 9 but between moving us and collecting all the tour people we ended up heading to xochimilco at 11:15 am or so. We know it’s not the tour guides fault as he “Sergio” was very very nice and knew what he was talking about when he gave us the facts and tips about the city. But spending 1 hour at a silver shop was not part of the tour. I was ok but my very American husband was annoyed by the wasted two hours. Once we arrived at xochimilco OMG beautiful experience! Then the rest of the tour was nice and simple . Coyoacan a beautiful town in the city (like the ones you expect from the movies.)
Freddie and our driver Panda were so fun!! Freddie had alot of knowledge on history and was great at explaining. My family and I will be back.
I am new to mexico. I was dropped in an unknown far off place than University Olympic Stadium where I was picked for today trip. I had very less cash and I couldn't pay full amount to driver/Uber. Viator should be tourist-friendly.
The neighborhood of Coycacan is amazing and vibrant and was definitely one of the highlights of this tour. Donte our tour guide was great in explaining sightseeing points around Mexico City. The Xochimilico was awesome to see in person and I had a blast with the group. Overall, great tour.
Boat ride was enjoyable. Not too many people on the lake. Tour guide was knowledgeable. We went on a Monday when it was a rest day in Mexico City with all the meseums being closed and most people are staying home.
I had booked this experience to go to the UNAM, the stadium, Xochimilco and Coyoacán, as stated. However, without any warning, our tour was diverted to sccomodate some very inconsiderate tourists (that's unrelated to my rating of this tour). Weeks before the tour, I had told the company that I was getting a ticket to go to the Frida Kahlo museum after the tour and I would not return with the rest of the group. So instead of getting what I paid for, we added a tour of the city Center to accommodate the new group which most of us had already done. And I had to miss the the UNAM because my Frida Kahlo ticket was timed entry. If they had in any way communicated to us that this was happening, I would have been much less upset, but the lack of communication in addition to just not getting what I paid for has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I would very much caution against using this company.
There were an additional six women traveling together on my tour. Our guide Dante was knowledgeable and helpful. He went out of his way to understand the things that each of us responded to. One hour on a trajinera is enough to get a good sense of the Xochimilco floating gardens. I wish we had spent a bit more time in Coyoacan historic center.
Our guide Marco was very knowledgeable and helpful! Coyoacán is beautiful use your time there to get the avocado ice cream and their churros, they are the best. The Xochimilco portion was very beautiful, the food is delicious. Please support the local jewelers that will share their creations.
Juan and Andrés were outstanding! Our group consisted of 6 adults and 2 children. The van was clean, comfortable, air conditioned. We visited Coyoacan, UNAM, and Estadio Azteca on our way to Xochimilco. We spent several hours in the van. Juan spoke both Spanish and English. He joked about knowing only 40 words in English but he spoke it fluently. Both Juan and Andres were great. Their patience, knowledge, professionalism, charisma, was more than outstanding. They are one of the best guides we’ve ever experienced. We had an amazing time!
It was meh. The itinerary was misleading. We didn’t go inside the stadium and during the tour it was just taking pictures on the outside where Dante, our tour guide, also explained the history of UNAM. It should be mentioned in the tour that entry to the stadium isn’t possible due to the World Cup construction. The tour shouldn’t be offered on Mondays — we were taken to the Frida Kahlo museum but to only take pictures in front of it since CDMX closes its museums on Mondays, another thing that should be mentioned before the tour. At two stops we only had five minutes each - outside the Frida Kahlo museum because it was closed, and also at a plaza at the Coyoacan stop. Stopping for 5 minutes at the plaza didn’t really make any sense since it was were a lot of items were being sold. Most of the time was just riding around. At Xochimilco the food was overpriced which may be typical at tourist spots. Dante wasn’t the best — he could’ve been more enthusiastic and he seemed to be rushing the tour. It was nice that he dropped off my group at our desired location.
It was fun and an enjoyable experience getting to meet other guest. Would recommend to others for sure.
It included a trip to a jewellry making shop in an industrial back street and a boat trip up a small river. Both are tourist traps. You don't have to buy anything but your encouraged to. I wouldn't recommend buying food on the boat trip. The Azteca stadium tour was disappointing as you were only allowed to stand outside due to world cup preparations.
I did this experience over a year ago, so there might be some changes. I do feel the guide could have communicated more clearly, and some sightings were rushed. However, we did see the items on the itinerary and it was a fun experience. Be prepared to spend a bit of time in the vehicle, however.
Our guide, Sammy, was incredibly knowledgeable, weaving together fascinating stories of the city’s past while showing us key landmarks. This tour is a great option for those wanting to see multiple cultural and historical highlights in one day. It’s especially enjoyable for those who love a mix of history, sports, and local traditions. The Xochimilco boat ride and Coyoacán’s charm were the biggest highlights. A must-do if you have a full day to explore!
Don't be fooled by lunch on the boat ride! No bueno! Overpriced fried kaka! Felt we were just driving all day!
Very well organized tour. We covered a lot of ground and did not feel rushed. Dante our tour guide was very calm and great explaining all that we visited and answering all our questions. Even when it came to paying for mariachi on the boat, he did not put any pressure on us. Overall very happy with the tour and Dante's demeanor. Also no pressure by him for tips and that helped us voluntarily give him a good tip.
Teresa was a great tour guide. We got to see a lot in a short time. We were happy to go to Xochimilco on a much calmer day. Would highly recommend and please be patient with the tour companies picking up and dropping people off.
We enjoyed seeing the architecture, art, and sights the tour had to offer! This is a good introduction to the areas visited. Definitely go back for further exploration, particularly in Coyoacán! Sometimes it was difficult to hear the tour guide on the bus as no mic was used. Also, even though both English and Spanish were spoken, if you did not speak Spanish, you may not have received the complete commentary. Overall, a good experience with lovely people.
The day on the boat was exciting, colorful and musical. We all enjoyed it a lot! The only reason that I did not give it a 5* is that at every step of the way the locals try to cheat you with the money. Any time we agreed on the price, whether it’s the boat tour or the Mariachi, they demanded at the end more money. It’s a terrible behavior and should be stopped.
Nice and fun trip around the city! Well organized and a good way to see more places in one go! I enjoyed the coyocan neighbor very much!
Was so much fun with the rest of the group Good communication before the trip Learned so much history and seen so many things
Our tour guide Dante was excellent! Great trip and overall was a great experience. Food was great and the boats were really fun. Traffic was bad as expected, but pickup and drop off was easy.
Pickup time was prompt and the guide Urusula was quite amazing and well planned. Me and my friend had great time
The tour was simply amazing from start to finish. The guides were amazing. Dante in particular was a great support throughout all the trip and even after. The places are breathtaking, the food is superb and everything went smoothly even after having booked with a short notice. Definitely a great option if you have the time.
Our tour guide was friendly but seemed disorganized. The van was small and uncomfortably hot, and the driver refused to play music when asked. Unfortunately, we spent most of the time stuck in traffic, which isn’t their fault, but it felt like we did everything except focus on the main experience. The stops at the locations were extremely short, leaving little time to enjoy them. When we finally reached the boats to eat, the food was overpriced and disappointing—definitely not worth it compared to other options in the area. On the way back, traffic delayed our return, so the group was split in half, and some of us had to take the subway with the guide. This felt rushed, chaotic, and not particularly safe. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this tour. I’d suggest exploring highly-rated Airbnb tours instead for a better experience.
Tour was excellent, canal lunch was the highlight. Tour operators knew a lot about the history of Mexico City.
Thank you so much for the amazing memories ! The Activities that we had went by far over my expectations!! Great service - value for money
Our Tour guide Alan was amazing! The only problem is traffic in Mexico City! Otherwise all the sites were nice
