Tolantongo Private Tour + Pastes + One Day At The Hot Springs

The experience was very nice everything was so beautiful. The water is very warm so you'll be able to have fun even with little kids. Definitely worth waking up early I just wish it lasted longer

Amazing place and worth the visit, if it hadn't been ruined by the driver. The driver showed up on time and the journey is 4hrs from Mex. City. The route includes an enormous amount of speed breakers in the middle of fast roads and also winding roads. This made the whole journey feel like a roller coaster because of his driving. We had to stop the car twice as one person was incredibly motion sick. This start stop went on for 2hours. The driver (called himself Richard) would drive at high speed (100kmh) and then suddenly break at a speed breaker. According to Viator, we were supposed to be given snacks and a head lamp. We didnt have these. I had also informed Nenemi tours that we have a speciali dietary requirements which was acknowledged. They did nothing with the snacks. The plastic bags were dirty and sticky - no sense of cleanliness or hygiene. The tour operator also started provided terms and conditions of their tour when I accidentally left something in the car. Should all Terms and conditions not be shared BEFORE the tour and not after?

Tolantongo is a really amazing experience. The pools and view are wonderful and the caves are such a fun and interesting section that I was not expecting and really enjoyed. Our driver was really kind and everyone was so nice it made the trip worth the drive.

We booked this experience for our family of 4 directly through Viator but the only options online were for 2 people. They had us book two separate bookings for a private tour. You would think for 4 people there would be an adequate car supplied however the car that showed up was a compact car for our family of 4. It was very uncomfortable for a 8-9 hour roundtrip ride. Our driver Daniel was incredible though and completely not his fault that they sent him for this specific group since his car would have been fine for two people. The tour itself was really nice. The pools and cave/tunnel were a lot of fun and the kids loved it too.

Great hosts. We had an awesome time exploring and swimming at our own pace. Highly recommend.

The good: Our driver Jorge was awesome. He arrived promptly at our 4 a.m. Pickup and was very informative. Because we are bilingual we just spoke Spanish but the overall trip was great! We were able to sleep for the short 3 hr. Car ride there and back and stopped for food and bathroom breaks which was needed. The tour provided us with instructions prior to the trip in them it was great information to make the most of the trip. The not so good: The drive was a bit long and time consuming. The tour company provided nothing other than the driver and vehicle. The instructions said the tour would include a cell phone bag, a waterproof flashlight, solar protection and something to weather the morning breeze. Bottom line none of this was provided! Overall I would definitely do it again! The trip was great and I highly recommend doing it.

Although the tour was very far it was a very nice experience. Our tour was private, our guide was Richard, he offered to stop if restroom was necessary. The only thing we didn’t get was a bag for our wet clothes, luckily we had packed one. The description did not indicate to bring a towel so knowing would have been helpful, once close to the site it’s possible to buy one if needed. We also did not get a sleeping blanket, but our car did have pillows which was nice given the long ride.

Such a great experience! The tour was very well organized and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. You can really tell they care about their guests and want everyone to have a great time. They shared interesting information throughout the tour and made the whole experience both fun and memorable. It didn’t feel rushed, and they were always happy to answer questions and make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. I would definitely recommend this private tour to anyone looking for a fun, well-organized, and memorable tour. I would absolutely book with them again!

We had the best experience! Our guide Ricardo was prompt and on time. We had pillows/snacks ready for us on our ride there. Waterproof phone covers were also provided. Ricardo stayed and waited for us while we enjoyed the experience which made me super relaxed! He got flash lights for us and we went into the caves. 10/10 experience! On the drive back Ricardo took us to a local spot for the best barbacoa and pina coladas. He then took us for a complimentary snack! On the whole tour he taught us about the customs and traditions of the land! We were so grateful to have him!!! Thank you!

Great experience ! Admission for the grutas was included already. A personal tour guide comes pick you up from your hotel. It’s a personal vehicle that comes pick you up from almost anywhere in Mexico City. Takes you on a few stops for pictures and they recommend a restaurant before going to the grutas since it’s pricier there. If you go in the morning it’s about a 3-4 hour drive there. So make sure you get some good rest. We left our hotel room at 5am. They will let you stay in the grutas about 4 hours and will show you around or you can wonder on your own. Then about 5 hour drive to get back. Great experience with Oscar. Totally recommend him, very easy going vibe.

Excellent customer service,Richard. Was very polite and professional. He Is very knowledgeable about the city History. Is good to have drivers like him. I was scare at first but he gave me peace of mind.

This definitely wasn’t a private tour experience and I wouldn’t recommend it. We knew the journey from Mexico City was going to be around 4 hours each way but the website promised a blanket so we could sleep and car with aircon so we thought it will be a comfortable car, it couldn’t have been worse as the car was totally unsafe, no seat belts, warning lights on dashboard, doors didn’t open from inside, clutch wasn’t working so he couldn’t put in some gears, no aircon so we had to have windows open all the way even on motorways so we couldn’t relax or sleep as we were worried the car won’t make the journey. The driver was very young but nice, however he was also on the phone the whole time. They were clearly using his personal car which really was bad. But he was friendly and tried his best. The springs are nice but there isn’t much to do there and 4 hours is bit long as when it gets busy you are just sitting in a little pool with lots of other people. They promised covers for our phones, under water torches etc and you don’t get anything. The cave and river were closed also so we were just in the springs for the whole time. All in all it’s not a trip worth taking. The balloon trip with another company is however amazing and I can recommend that one. I bought this as a present for my husbands birthday and we came back very very disappointed.

Richard is amazing and so flexible!! Me and my friend had so much fun and Tolantango is gorgeous!! We were a little hesitant at first to book the trip because of how far it is but he was quick and made sure we had a great time thank you!! The drive is worth it and it was one of the highlights of our trip ☺️

They were quick to send us the details when I booked and they even picked me up at my hotel. The trip was in an air conditioned car and our guide provided snacks and water. I was disappointed in the fact our guide did not show us around and tell us that there were caves or where to find them. I didn’t get to see a lot of the place because I didn’t know there were other things to look at besides the pools. I would also suggest you go on a weekday not a weekend it was very busy.

We booked this excursion very last minute ! But they were very quick to give us all the information we needed. Our guide Richard was very friendly , professional, informative about the tour. I highly recommend this excursion to anybody who’s looking to see the grutas !

Excellent guide, was very informative and helpful to entire time. Extremely punctual as well, Richard was amazing, he also helped us stop at a store in the way to Tolantongo to get some sunscreen which was amazing. Never had a doubt of my safety as well , if you’re ever in Mexico City, definitely book with these guys. You won’t regret it !

A great experience to visit, I found it a place with a lot of magic, despite many adversities the guides know how to solve and it is a very good thing for the place, I recommend that they still take the tour during the week, and carry sunblock.

It was a very good tour, the driver and the care they provided was very nice; they took us to both sections and the cell phone bags they gave us helped us a lot.

It is an excellent tour and highly recommended if you want to be distracted and have fun. The view is very nice and the space very comfortable, nice and fun. Service and attention were always very good, they are in touch with you at all times since you request the tour and answer your questions very kindly.
