We arrived only to find our tickets had been canceled! No notice, just plain canceled. Spent the next hour trying to find out why, with no success. They wouldn’t let us in because there is no more availability until December. What a huge disappointment. Next time, if there is one, we’ll book directly and avoid TripAdvisor!

DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS THROUGH THIS OPERATOR. We arrived at the museum only to find out our tickets had been cancelled and also to find out from the museum administrators that these tickets ARE NOT actually valid. The only valid tickets are those bought through the museum website directly. I hope this review saves someone the time and disappointment we went through this morning. To this operator - do better . You just wasted our time.
I purchased guided tour when I got to the location they informed us they do not provide guides. I paid for a for service that wasn't available.
Very disappointing experience. I purchased tickets well in advance, only to have them canceled on the day of my visit. Even though I did receive a refund, that’s not the point—I had been looking forward to visiting this museum and my plans were completely disrupted. This vendor feels unreliable. I strongly recommend purchasing tickets directly from the museum’s official website to avoid this issue.
The house and history is amazing!! Love seeing all the art and the space that she lived in. A big fan of Frida! The only reason I’m rating this at three stars is because there was confusion with ticket times. I had originally bought them for 11:30 am and was sent tickets for 5 pm. We came back at 5 and almost missed a sección of the tour as the museum closes at 6. Gift shop was close and had to rush through a part of the exhibit. If you go at an earlier time I’m sure it’s great and can take your time. I would recommend to go earlier. Bad luck that we got sent tickets for 5 pm. Next time I would just buy from the actual site.
Casa Azul is pretty heavy if you love FK. Her ashes are there. It is very quiet. About an hour is ok. The staff are very respectful.
The museum was wonderful and I learned so much! That said, the experience of accessing the tickets via TripAdvisor was a nightmare. Two people in our group were never able to find the actual tickets and were not allowed into the museum despite our having paid. After having traveled all the way to the museum, this was very disappointing.
Those who treasure the artist Frida Kahlo will thoroughly appreciate this house tour/visit. You can visit at your leisure. No rushing! My only disappointment was in the small retail store - not much selection to purchase - no posters or books on her art ☹️.
Could not open my ticket. Made it extremely complicated to access and wasn't able to get in or get help with it
Extremely poor experience do not use. They sell you ticket for one date/time and then close to your visit date they tell you it's sold out and you have another.
This is the one part of our trip to Mexico city that I planned in advance and was most looking forward to. Trip advisor canceled us the day before and it is sold out all week while we are here. Soooo disappointed.
Better than I could have imagined! As a Frida Kahlo super fan, I was very aware of Frida’s story and her life at Casa Azul. I’d spent three weeks in Mexico and left my trip to visit till the end. Her house is a beautiful sanctuary filled with gardens and fountains. It’s hard to imagine how she was not inspired, growing up there. You don’t need to know anything about Frida Kahlo though, as a visit to the museum will open your eyes to the world in which she lived.
Very complicated to get the ticket after booked. It wasn’t available at app. It wasn’t attached to email. Long way to find it! Quite boring!
Unsure why this was 3x the price of the actual ticket! The museum was amazing but took less than an hour to go around. Diageo’s museum is a 20 min drive which they don’t explain.
Beautiful place setting and glimpse into history. Perfect stop before wandering into the Mercado and neighborhood parks.
Horrible customer service. Phone died and no one could access tickets. They did even offer to buy more tickets. nonchalant didn’t even care.
Gorgeous and must see when in CDMX … the richness of color, emotion, history and depth left me so inspired and proud of my ancestry.
This is a fraudulent ticket seller who will guarantee a time and then send tickets for an entirely separate time. They are now trying to refuse to refund the tickets.
Paid a huge markup to get tickets through Viator when I could have bought them directly from the Frida Kahlo museum for 320 pesos (about $16 US dollars). That said, La Casa Azul is spectacular! Plan ahead and book direct!
I would get a guide for extra story time! It’s a very quick tour so it would be good to get more stories from the guides. I would do it again.
An immersive experience into the personal life and environment of a personal icon. Frida Kahlo is an inspiration and to go through the house of her entire life was a wish fulfilled. Grateful for it, knowing my personal trial to make it happen.
Viator sent me tickets for the wrong day and time and did not tell me this. They then we’re not able to give me tickets for the museum and because it gets booked up in advance we now can’t go. I will not be using Viator again, I am deey disappointed with this service.
We visited La Casa Azul with the children, and it was an enriching experience for everyone. The place is very well organized and visually appealing. A perfect cultural activity to do together and learn from such an inspiring figure.
La Casa Azul it's much more than a museum, it's a window into Frida's life. I bought tickets for myself and my family through the platform, and everything was excellent. Without a doubt, a must-see to understand the woman behind her art.
The entire reservation process was excellent. A visit to the Blue House is like stepping into Frida Kahlo's intimate universe. Every corner reflects her personality, from her works and personal belongings to her studio and colorful garden. 100% recommended.
1 the tickets were booked for 3pm and you changed it to 3:30pm so we could not go. Got a uber all the way there and could t go…total waste of time and money
Casa Azul, with its bright walls and peaceful garden, offers an intimate look at Frida’s life, journey and creative world. The museum is well organized and offers a touching balance between his personal life and his artistic work. Everyday objects, clothes and exhibits tell a deeply human story. I highly recommend booking in advance, as the crowd is large, and arriving a little earlier to enjoy the neighborhood. The surrounding streets are beautiful and ideal for strolling before or after the visit. A memorable visit that allows us to better understand the woman behind the icon.
I visited the museum with my boyfriend and for both of us it was an unrivalled experience, knowing Frida Kahlo’s house is an activity we should all do, without a doubt. It is impressive all the history that is in every corner.
It will take place in 1 hs. Good stuff. You have to download a guide on your cell phone. He's wearing hearing aids. I think the cost is high relative to the other museums.
