Teotihuacan Tour With Breakfast In A Cave, Transportation, And Guide

Awesome start to finish. Diego the main host as well as the other guides were all fantastic. 6 stars if I could.

We appreciate the tour organizer in Mexico city being flexible and accomodating when we mixed up the date. The tour itself tho at best can be described as mediocre, mostly the guides were not very knowledgeable in general, even though there were unnecessarily numerous number of them. We could also have less shopping and more time on the site with in-depth history. It is a good thing that we visited the Anthropology museum the day before or we would learn next to nothing about the history and people of Teotihuacan and its significance in MesoAmerican culture.

The whole experience was 10/10. The transportation accessibility, experiences with dining in the cave, the beautiful art gallery, going to Teotihuacan and seeing the pyramids, our WONDERFUL guide Isabel and our chocolate making experience.

I didn’t have an experience. The van/transportation never picked me up from the designated pick up. I contacted the driver and never got a response. The organizer did let me know the van was on the way but it never showed up

Places were interesting and fun, but pick-up was highly disorganized. They were an hour and a half late. When we called for more info about getting picked up, we were given incorrect information several times in a row. Eventhough they were late, the tour guides didn't make an effort to accomodate other guests for causing them to miss follow-on tours/plans

Excellent tour for the price. Pickup to and from hotel was great. Breakfast was in a cave not on a terrace, but not a big deal since it was lightly raining. Our tour guides where friendly and knowledgeable. They will stop at shops in the area allowing for shopping of local goods and arts. The pyramids were spectacular. Our guide was an anthropologist and gave great history of the pyramids. Overall it was an incredible day and well worth the price.

Poor communication and service. I have been on numerous tours booked with Trip Advisor over the years and this is the ONLY negative review I have ever written. Their response is dismal and blames me instead of acknowledging my valid opinion.

Incredible experience for our group of 14 across whole age bracket. Our guide Ithamar was excellent, his knowledge and care was great and was with us for the Teotihuacan part of the tour. All parts of the tour were really enjoyed by the whole tour including all the individual guides. Overall a great experience, enjoyed by all, highly recommend.

I’m not sure the amount we paid was worth it. First: our driver drove really slow (he was driving 50 km on an 80 km) We were met with a guy who opened my door, drove his bike to the pyramids (while we drove in the car) then drove his bike to where we ate. I didn’t see the point of him being there and you feel obligated to tip At the end we tipped 4 people so the cost adds up. Next time rent a car and save some $

The driver, the guide, etc. were most delightful. However, you should be aware that this tour wastes more than one hour with the forgettable ’breakfast in a cave,’ then another hour to visit a galleria where people hope you will buy pieces of rock, then more than an hour for a ‘chocolate tasting experience.’ If your goal is to visit the archeological site and its museum, with a knowledgeable guide who can tell you at least as much as the first two paragraphs of Wikipedia, there must be a better option.

Super easy to book. I got a little nervous when I didnt get more info until a day prior but it was easy to get in contact with them. Friendly staff too. The whole tour seemed fast. Only thing I do regret is not having the tour in spanish how I had requested but im lucky I understand both English and Spanish. Breakfast was yummy but definitely not the picture we see in the main tripadvisor ad, it was a different restaurant that wasn't the la Fruta. Felipe our guide at the pyramids was super knowledgeable too. Our driver Ivan got us there safely too. Overall good experience

The breakfast at the cave is not the one that they show in the pic, not even close. Then, you end up at a place for tequila tasting, but it's actually a store to get you to buy things, same with the chocolate making place after leaving the tequila spot. Those two places is totally unnecessary for sure. Everyone was friendly though. The biggest thing I disliked is the amount of people you have to tip, you don't have to, but come on you kind of do. It's the driver, waiters, guide , other guide from pyramids, tequila tasting person, and chocolate making store person. It's insane lol. Would I do this tour again, no. And if you go with kids, take snacks cause once you have breakfast, you won't eat again until hotel drop off and that's like 4p depending on traffic. You're better off hiring a private driver (you'll save time and probably cheaper at the end).

We ate at a restaurant they recommended, and the food was good, the place was clean, and the vibe was nice. Overall, it was really chill and memorable. Definitely worth it if you’re visiting Teot ihuacán.

I had the opportunity to visit the archaeological site of Teotihuacán with Paradise in the Sky, and it was an incredible experience. I especially appreciated how attentive they were with our transportation from Mexico City to the archaeological site. Everything was well organized, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable Guide, but Lack of Transparency on Full Itinerary Rating: 3.5-4 stars Overall, I had a mixed experience with this tour. The pyramid portion and guide were exceptional—our guide was genuinely knowledgeable (a federal agency guide with expertise in history) and made the archaeological site come alive. The time at the pyramids was the highlight. However, the tour description is misleading about what you actually experience. I was told we would have breakfast upon arrival at the area, but instead we were immediately taken to a gift shop selling precious stones and agave products. While the staff were friendly and explained their crafts, the prices were significantly overpriced compared to similar items elsewhere. My biggest complaint is the lack of transparency about the breakfast experience. The tour description doesn't specify which cave restaurant you'll visit—the main photos show one location, but we were taken to Xibalba, which is a different restaurant entirely. Additionally, the description fails to mention that your food choices are extremely limited—only a fixed plate with two enchiladas, beans, and a drink. There are no alternatives. I wish this had been disclosed upfront. The restaurant itself and its service were fine, but I felt misled about what to expect. The optional chocolate workshop at the end was interesting but clearly another sales opportunity, though the vendors were not pushy. My advice: This tour is fairly priced for what you get, but the operator needs to be honest in their description. Add the full itinerary (shops, specific restaurant name, limited meal options) upfront so travelers can decide if it's what they want. The pyramid experience is genuinely worth it—just go in with realistic expectations about the add-ons.

This ended up being a great day! I was picked up right at my hotel in a clean car and driven out to the artisan place. We had a tour of the methods they used in their work and had some time in the shop before being taken to the pyramids. Great guide with Jesus! He had a nickname but unfortunately I can't remember it. Estefania was our intermediary and after the great pyramid tour she took us to a late lunch at a cave restaurant. Really delicious! We were then taken to a chocolate place for some more indulgences and then returned to the city. All in all it was about 6 and 1/2 hours and I would definitely do it again! They were great at communication and really made sure that all of our needs were met. I met some new friends on the trip too!

Overall solid experience. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and the experience of seeing Teotihuacan was special. The pickup could've been smoother, but most of that was due to a marathon taking place in CDMX on the morning we were getting picked up. This would've been a 5 star experience if we had gone to a better restaurant for breakfast. My wife and I were hoping to go to La Gruta and didn't know there was more restaurants in a cave than that one. The place we went to, Xibalba, was just mediocre if we're being honest. Otherwise, good experience.

We had an excellent experience. The driver, Jose, sent clear instructions the night before and was punctual picking us up at our hotel. Our guide for the day, Iztari, was very friendly and knowledgelable and has a deep passion and connection to the Teotihuacan culture. The breakfast on the rooftop hit the spot and had amazing views. The pyramids and temples were astounding and we had an incredible guide through the grounds (whose name unfortunately escapes me). This was a highlight of our trip to Mexico City. We weren't sure if a tour like this would work with a newborn, but this team made it possible. They're very family-oriented and welcoming to families of all ages, and we were able to do all the fun stuff with our baby along for the ride. The guides were so helpful and attentive, especially going up and down the pyramid, always checking on us and making sure we felt safe and comfortable.
