Guide was misogynistic, and taking pictures of women without their consent. He also interjected with politics for no reason. The gift shop with the stones and artwork was a rip off, a complete waste of time. The hour and a half spent at the gift shop could’ve been spent at the pyramids. The tour at the basilica was rushed, no one knew what was happening, instructions were not clear, and the guide was borderline proselytizing. Overall, loved the pyramids and the basilica. The experience could’ve been very different with a better guide and a better use of our time.

Edgar, our guide was great and made the experience unforgettable! The driver was also very professional!
The experience was great! Edgar was a wonderful and funny guide and he was very informative. The trip was efficient and packed with a lot of information and I enjoyed it a lot.
Viator… booking experience was very smooth and simple and easy, itinerary was informed Ana’s follows yo the T … Guide was so very good and impressive.. overall felt good at the end of the trip .. I would like to give give stars to Edgar our Gude …. Deserves actually 10 out of 5 😀👏👏
The guide was excellent. Unfortunately, we were seated in the last raw with no view and highly uncomfortable bumping on each bump. The last two raws are worthless. It might be helpful and fair to ask passengers in the front seats to switch side for the return trip.
Timing for most of the places were perfects. Enough time to enjoy and buy souvenirs. Great driver and superb guide.
Marco was a very knowledgeable tour guide and was very informative about the two main places we visited. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch had decent food at reasonable prices. However, I was a bit disappointed since we specifically booked this tour because it said we would have 3 hours at Teotihuacan and we ended up with less than 2 hours, which is definitely not long enough to really appreciate everything the site has to offer. You can see the highlights, but there is so much more that you won't have time for. I would happily have skipped the stop at the (admittedly entertaining) craft shop in order to have more time at the ruins. The stop at the Basilica of Guadalupe was better, with plenty of time to see everything without feeling rushed. In short, if you aren't interested in anything more than the highlights, this is a very good tour to cover a lot in one day. But if you are really interested in spending time at Teotihuacan, better to use public transit and go on your own so you can spend as much time as you want.
Edgar is an excellent, enthusiastic guide. The driver also was high quality. Pick up was convenient. Drop off was not. Hence I deducted one star. After a very long day being dropped off at a single site for 19 people was worst than inconvenient. It was unkind. We were all tired. We all had to suddenly try to find our way back during peak traffic, low availability of taxi and uber. I recommend you at least have two or three posted drop off sites so plans can be made preemptively.
This is a great and frankly really inexpensive tour of Teotihuacan and the Basilica. Edgar, our tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable, great sense of humor, and very helpful. I highly recommend this tour and tour guide!
We traveled as a family of 18 people. They didn’t try to put us all together with all the requests from all of us to be together in one bus. They even lied that we will have lunch all together but it didn’t happen. We were on a different time schedule and different restaurant. 3 of our party were on a different bus the whole time. The food at the restaurant was horrible. Our driver was having alcohol at the restaurant.
It was a fun & wonderful day trip to three great Mexican sites that are must-see when visiting!! The teotihuacán ruins were spectacular to witness and so well-preserved, with amazing views from the pyramid. Highly recommend!! Seeing guadalupe basilica is also amazing. I wish we had more time to explore the Guadalupe church at the end.
Awful! First they separated our family into two buses. Other people were willing to switch buses at the beginning but they wouldn't let us. At a later stop, they agreed but then other guests were not willing to switch so we gave up. The second bus got back over a hour after the first bus! We tried to enjoy anyway and Marco, our guide, almost convinced me by being helpful at the stops. We had our elderly mom with us which I understand caused some delay and he helped with that (this was not a trip for elderly even though they told us it would be okay. ) i even gave him a small tip at the end so he almost won me over. But then they dropped us at a different spot than they picked us up and we had a 45 minute walk to our hotel instead of the 15 minute walk to where they picked us up!! And they didn't tell us they were dropping us at a different spot. By the time we figured it out, it was too late. That was it for me!!! Terrible, terrible experience!! Do not go in this trip!
We don't normally do guided tours, but this was one we chose to do while staying in Mexico City. Edgar was our guide for the day and was friendly, funny, and shared history that we would've missed out on had we just taken an uber to Teotihuacan and the Basilica, which made the guided tour worth the experience! The cost for the tour was reasonable (includes all transport and entry for the sites). It was longer than we had planned for (our scheduling mistake - we thought it was a 4-hour tour and it's all day, from 8am pickup through to 5pm drop off). So if you're making plans, consider it a full-day adventure.
Great trip for the day. The city of the gods was super interesting. Eddy was friendly and good at explaining what we were seeing. The trip wasn’t rushed and seemed to be about the right amount of time at each destination.
Edgar was a great guide. He was very funny and kept us safe at all times. I loved the place he took us to before the Aztec ruins and pyramids. A gentleman called Antonio gave us mezcal and told us about the different uses of the agave plant. He also showed us different stones/minerals that have been mined nearby and that were used by the Aztecs. At the ruins, we were given plenty of free time to take pictures and so on. We were then taken to a restaurant to buy lunch - we were treated to a mariachi band and some Aztec style dancers who played with fire whilst we waited. The food itself was a little expensive but I ordered something for €150 - there was the option of crickets on the menu. After this, we were a little tired but could sleep on the bus before visiting the church. This is somewhere I wouldn’t have visited unless it was on the tour - there were lots of pilgrims camping outside which was interesting to see but it was very busy. It cost £23/24 each - very reasonable for the guide, the transportation and the free tasters of booze. I would recommend this tour.
Very good & entertaining tour, Eddy can speak both English and Spanish, always made sure our group was together. Restaurant’s food was not that great.
Edgar was awesome. He made us laugh while providing fun facts. Very helpful! The van was very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the time at Teotihuacan. Wouldn't have mind if we had a little less time at the basilica
The tour with Edgar was really nice. He presented a lot of information about the sights we saw and did it in a very fun and enjoyable way. I can recommend the tour with Edgar a 100%.
We had a fantastic time on our Teotihuacan tour with Edgar as our guide! He is incredibly friendly, fun, and very well-organized. Edgar made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable throughout the trip. He explained the history and significance of each sightseeing location with enthusiasm and knowledge, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. Highly recommend taking a tour with Edgar!
Edgar was great! Very informative and did great going back and forth in Spanish and English! Would recommend him to anyone
Edgar was an amazing tour guide. The trip was a favorite of my time in Mexico. The ease of having two sites done in a day within reasonable time was amazing.
Great tour with an awesome guide (Edgar). Small group (17 people). The tour was very informative and fun. Only downside: unnecessary stop on the way to the pyramids at a shop, where they tried to sell us stuff (ca 30min)
Had a wonderful experience. Felt very safe taking this tour in a different county. Felt very comfortable asking my tour guide questions. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone else. Our tour guide was Eddie.
The pyramids were stunning! We enjoyed the friendly group of travelers and Eduardo was a very nice guide. The tour was a bit long with all the different stops. We woulf have loved to go to the pyramides straigt, have a tour with more insight, background knowledge and time there and then go back to the city after lunch. But if you‘ve planned to see the other stops too it‘s great! Also be aware that the tour ends not at the same spot as it began. For us it was fine, but can be a bit enerving I guess.
A very informative and enjoyable tour of the Teotihuacan and Guadalupe, with lots of I formation provided about Mexico City.
This was an amazing tour! Alan was my tour guide and I learned a ton from him about the history of Teotihuacan and the Basilica of Guadalupe. He was a really friendly guide, funny, and clearly passionate about the history behind these places. The tour was also paced well, with plenty of breaks in between different spots where I could rest in the van as we drove. I would definitely recommend this tour to other people, because you get to see so much and Alan is such a great guide. The only thing to note is that the cave restaurant we went to wasn't the famous La Gruta restaurant, it was another cave restaurant. It was still a fun experience though, and probably a little cheaper. I was also happy that we got to climb the Pyramid of the Moon! Apparently they re-opened it just before our tour.
It is a wonderful experience, and Marco our guide was phenomenal and helpful. I recommend this tour 100%. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you Marco and Pedro
The touris great and the sites I recommend visiting, the only draw backs on this tour are the following, the food at the cave is not great and very expensive also when the tour was over the van did not drop you off at you pickup point which was a inconvenience since you had to pay for a taxi!
Alan was great. He is knowledgeable, concise, informative, and interesting. He was concerned about his clients, making sure they had sufficient time to look around, were safe in getting around especially going up and down the pyramids, and had enough strength to get around. He is a very wonderful tour guide.
This was an awesome experience! Alan was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Worth every penny! We saw so much in just one day.
Allan and Pedro were an excellent team. Allan was full of energy and super informative. He had a nice balance of giving information and giving us time to wander on our own. The tour was amazing!
The tour overall was fine. The good: Gaby the tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and was able to clearly convey the significant aspects of the Teotihuacán culture which was great to hear. The bad: La cueva del mitote. There a number of different cave restaurants in the area. The one that the tour took us to was la cueva del mitote. The food was near inedible. It came a little too quick after you ordered suggesting the food was not prepared fresh. We ordered the molcajete and it came in a warm stone bowl with a variety of meats. The meats were all super overcooked, dry and was lukewarm making us worried we may get sick from food that’s been sitting out. Would not recommend this cave restaurant.
Relaxing, informative, upbeat, enjoyable. We loved our guide, his expressive presentation and very complex in depth knowledge of culture, history, geography, archaelogy.
The experience was excellent overall. Marco was a very knowledgeable tour guide who made sure our entire day was comfortable and fun. His enthusiasm was contagious and he was very thoughtful of everyone’s needs throughout the day. Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this tour, it was exactly as described and we had a very good time.
Alan did a great job on the tour. Very personable, knowledgeable and fun. I learned a bunch of interesting facts about Mexico City, the pyramids, the Teotihuacan culture, the Basilicas and now have a bunch of great memories with my wife. Victor got us everywhere we needed to get, safely and timely. Overall, we had a great day and tour.
Amazing. Gabby was very knowledgeable. Answered all our questions. Perfectly timed and informative. Food at the restaurant was good. Could be better but over all good
The tour was good and informative guide with time to enjoy places we stopped at with comfortable transport and friendly driver. The food in cave restaurant was not nice, no taste and overpriced and they forgot about quality. Others on the tour also thought it was poor. Restaurant needs to improve! I was very unwell later that night. I don’t know if was the food.
Great trip Itzmel was great very knowledgeable and friendly great in both Spanish and English. It was a really full day.
Marco was an amazing guide. Courteous, knowledgeable, patient with all questions. And he was fun! Thoroughly enjoyable experience!
Had a great day with Alan! He was a great guide! He was very knowledgeable and was so accommodating to all of our questions. I will say the portion at the first stop where we learned about the plants and rocks was much too long and we could have spent half the time, but other than that, the tour was a great way to see the pyramids and the Basilica!
We had such a wonderful experience Marco the guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Victor the driver was a great driver too! Please note that they do drop off at a different location from pick up but it’s in a safe place. We really enjoyed ourselves and thank the team for making it a great experience.
Alan was absolutely amazing!!! Funny and interesting, we had the best time and learned so much about Mexican history and culture..
Schedule not respected with little time for important activities. For example, we had less than 1h30 at Teotihuacan even though the tour schedule information mentioned that we would spend 3h there. The guide didn't provide much historical information - I learned much more by reading less myself on the internet. We stopped at a restaurant chosen by the guide outside the Teotihuacan area: poor quality and very expensive food, pressure to buy expensive dishes, pressure to eat quickly. Overall, we are not satisfied and do not recommend this tour to anyone if they do not change their format.
Bring sunscreen, a hat or umbrella, comfortable shoes, a thermos with water and ice. SOLO TRAVELER be careful with the selfie stick, hide it because they do not allow it through, so if you are alone it is more difficult to take photos, if you see an Asian foreigner ask them to take your pictures. The only good photo I have was taken by a Korean girl.
It's great you know many interesting things our guide Eduardo was excellent, explained everything perfectly
Nice experience and took us to the promised places, thank you for the service you gave us
Very interesting the well-known places, full of history, we had a lot of fun from start to finish, the pyramids and basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe are beautiful, it is worth it, know with this tour. Our guide is always attentive and committed to our visit, transport 5 out of 5 and the restaurant where we have lunch with an excellent gastronomic bet.
The first stop at the Square of the 3 Cultures was made too quickly, without any explanation or time to see the square. The stop at the crafts too long, just to make us spend money. We arrived at noon at the archaeological site of Teotihuacán, without having had the opportunity to have a snack or buy water. They took us to visit the site in the hottest hours. The place for lunch was not booked and the one we fell back on had decidedly excessive prices. Finally, since it was later than expected, we were told that we would skip the visit to the Shrine (later visited only following our protests). The worst thing was the guide/guide who spoke very bad English and could not give us useful information about the sites visited.
Edgar very good guide. He was attentive throughout and knew a lot on the tour. I wish I could have been in Tlatelolco longer. We only managed to see it for 5 minutes and did not get into the square.
Our guide, Edgar, led our excursion to the Mexican pyramids with remarkable energy and charm. He was engaging and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere that united the whole group. His explanations were rich and multifaceted — offering not only deep insights into ancient civilizations but also fascinating reflections on modern Mexico. I wholeheartedly recommend any tour guided by Edgar — wherever he takes you, it will undoubtedly be an extraordinary experience! ⸻ Spanish version: Our guide, Edgar, led our excursion to the Pyramids of Mexico with exceptional energy and sympathy. It was very pleasant and attentive, creating a Warm Mood that united the whole group. His explanations were rich and very complete: he spoke not only of ancient times, but also of the life and culture of modern Mexico. I wholeheartedly recommend any guided tour of Edgar — wherever it takes you, it will certainly be an extraordinary experience!
