The tour guide was late. When he arrived he was not clear with his directions. When we went inside, the security told him his license was expired and he is not allowed to give us. So when we went in he asked to walk alone as “free time” then he got a local tour guide an hour later who only did half the tour with us. When we were returned to our guide to continue the tour, he said continue on your own “free time” and he went to the parking lot And the funny thing is that the first thing that came out of his mouth when he saw is tickets included but tips are not ..

We had such a great time on our private Teotihuacan tour with Jonathan! He was friendly, fun, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. You can tell he loves what he does, and he shared so much interesting history while keeping everything entertaining and easygoing. The tour felt relaxed and personalized, and we had an amazing day. The hotel pickup was easy, and the van was nice and comfortable too. Definitely recommend this tour!

TERRIBLE When I booked it, tour was supposed to start at 8:15 AM The night before, I received an email stating tour would start at 8:00 AM Meeting place was much farther away than I expected from my hotel, I left at 7:40 AM, and arrived at meeting place at 8:11 AM I was told tour guide just left, people even showed me the van where tour guide left; I saw it with my own eyes. I called the number in the reservation, explained the situation, and requested the phone number of the tour guide to call him directly; and I was told it was again their policies, and since I was 11 minutes late, I just lost everything. I recognize I was 11 minutes late, but there was not even a hint of help from the tour operator. Very disappointed on the lack of empathy and willingness to help from this Agency. The name is AMIGO TOURS, end they have nothing of AMIGO....

I am highly disappointed by this tour & get your guide ( who we booked through). We were 10 mins late due to lots of traffic and police on the road leading up the site and they refused to wait for us or let us join the group later. Considering the circumstances were out of our control, this seemed very unfair. We paid over £50 for the tour. Moreover, the tour started at gate 1 which is over a 20 min walk from where the public bus drops you. Meaning it’s very hard to access on public transport. Most other tours start at gate 2/3.

Amigo tours would not answer phone calls or texts to help us find our tour operator before the designated meeting time. We never located them despite our multiple efforts. We called all numbers listed in the booking and no one answered until 30 min after the tour started. We were at the designated meeting point 30 min before and couldn’t find the operator. Started calling before the meeting time. Cell phone reception can’t be blamed for the main office or operator not answering. We called from multiple carriers with no issues. Amigo tours still refuses to refund any of the $138 USD I paid. I have time stamped screen shots of unanswered text messages and phone records to prove they wouldn’t respond that Viator won’t even review in the “investigation” my refund request. I won’t use Amigo Tours or Viator again.

definitely an amazing site. We got a lower price by meet the tour at the site entrance, but the uber from the city was expensive, so we may have been better off paying for the tour bus. Nonetheless, we were able to skip the artisans and restaurant stops which are part of the bus tour. Our guide Antonio was excellent, but if your hearing isn't great stand close to him. The radio earphones work well, but you get a "double image" sound between the natural voice and the headphone. Since my hearing isn't great, I found it best to not use the radio and stand close to the guide. Would have liked more time in the museum, but otherwise the tour and site was amazing. Our adult kids loved it too. Be prepared for heat.

We took a private half day tour to the pyramids outside of CDMX. We had Gerardo as our tour guide who was incredibly knowledgeable — and charming, to boot. We loved the tour and had a blast with he and Paco, our driver. They kept us informed and laughing the entire time!

Ligia was a great tour guide! We had a super smooth experience, took lots of photos, walked between the pyramids and bought some souvenirs!

If ever you visit Teotihuacan take Daniel as your guide. He usually waits patiently at the entrance (entrance no 1). You can spot him when you look for a nice, elegant Mexican gentleman wearing a black tailored jacket. He not only stands out by his knowledge and kindness, but also by his elegant attire. Daniel is a truly brilliant guide. Knowledgeable, eloquent and absolutely fluent in English. He will make your visit to Teotihuacan a memorable event. He is very good in teaching you about the history of the place, but also in telling you stories about the mundane life of the then inhabitants. He let us chose between the long tour or a short one and completely catered to our needs. When I was done after the short tour, he went on doing the long one with my husband. I highly recommend him! We really enjoyed the tour! Our guide Gerson was welcoming, funny, and informative, and the trip was very well organized. Transportation was comfortable and convenient and we had plenty of time to take in the sights.

We booked a turn around tour to Teotihuacan. We go to the sight and come back. Instead, we were lumped together with a group that stayed an extra two hours at a store selling local crafts. We booked the other tour specifically to avoid this market. We were not told this until we were already on the bus and on our way. We were stuck there until the bus left. I will never use Viator again. You shouldn’t either.

The entire activity was very fun and educational. Going with tour leaders like this enhances the trip even more! Alexa was our guide and she was incredible!

Teotihuacan is an amazing place, well worth visiting. The trip organisation by Amigo Tours was really great, ran very smoothly. The tour leader - Lili - and the driver - Ricardo - did a good job, but we took the option where we just looked round by ourselves, so I can't comment on the guiding at the site itself. Like someone else, I would have preferred to skip the tequila / gift shop experience, which was a bit naff. But would recommend this tour outfit nonetheless!

Great! Glad I did it. Felt we were in good hands with Sergio and Alejandro. I would have preferred to skip the morning raunchy tequila tasting/gift shop, but I actually learned a lot during the agave demonstration. Gracias!

It was NOT on my own. There was a terrible guide and we had to follow her including to a store of tequila and stones. Do NOT book this tour.

Don’t book Viator ! Customer service is terrible. They contract local tour guide and increase the price. Look for tour guides there at the pyramids they are genuine and really knowledgeable. Anywhere but Viator. Uber is also easily accessible and cheap if you’re worried about transportation.

Our tour guide Gerson was really informative and funny. He made us laugh by teaching us the ancient past of Teotihuacán. We will recommend this company, especially Gerson, to all of our friends.

(Not certain if this was the correct activity.) We decided to follow our tour guide Gerson after all, and I absolutely loved him. He was fantastic! Knowledgeable, charismatic, and all around a good guy. My only regret was not taking a picture with him. He loves his job and it shows. Thank you!
