Clara and Christian picked me up from the hotel in Roma Norte in a comfy modern electric van. The tour was wonderful! Clara is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with in English. We chose a private tour so we could leave when we were done and tired. Unfortunately the other person was ill and couldn’t go. I felt very comfortable going alone. Was well taken care of, learned a lot. I’m so grateful for the experience at Teotihuacan and for Clara’s gentle kindness.

Fantastic experience! I learned a ton and our guide was very knowledgeable! Fascinating to learn about the culture and history of the Mexican people!
Private tour gave great flexibility and our guide Mónica (an expert in the history of art) was able to bring the pyramids and the glyphs to life.
This is a remarkable site, large and fascinating. Clara gave us information smoothly in Spanish and English. If you’re younger than we are, consider spending more time, lunching near the site. Don't miss the pyramids!
Our guide, Diana, was incredible. The site itself is very impressive. Everything felt professional, and the driver was also very friendly.
Excellent tour! Our guide Diana was very patient with our young girls and kept them engaged. Overall, amazing experience!!
We were expecting a “couple of pyramids” and, with the help of our guide Clara, we discovered an amazing ancient city, civilization and society. An amazing experience - and our guide was terrific.
Diana is the best, we’d recommend her 100%. She is kind, easy going, extremely knowledgeable and knows the right amount of information to give. It was also great to get context on CDMX in general as we drove out to the pyramids, and she happily answered all kinds of questions. On our tour we had our two families which included four teen/tweens and everyone of all ages had a great time. With this tour you get to skip the very long lines while learning about the history of what you are seeing (there are few placards and even then they are in Spanish). We got dropped off right at the back entrance for private tours, walked and learned our way to the other side of the grounds where Diana’s driver picked us up. The van was really nice and comfortable. Be sure to bring sunscreen, hat and comfy walking shoes. There are lots of stairs, some you can opt out of but some not. Also, there is a restaurant 5m away calked La Gruta that is in a cave. Yes, touristy but it’s been there since the early 1900’s and was really good. When do you get to eat in a cave? You can also find more information about Diana’s woman owned business through her private website.
Guide Clara and her driver picked us up in Roma Norte for the tour. Clara was charming, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We spent about two hours at the site. It was fascinating and a must see if you have any interest in archeology and are in CDMX. Highly recommended.
This private tour was an excellent way to experience the wonders of Teotihuacan life. We learned so much from our tour guide Alma who was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also very much attuned to, and respectful of the indigenous ways of life of the Teotihuacan peoples. What we loved about Alma is the way she shared knowledge without being too overwhelming. She also seemed to enjoy the tour as if it were her first time. That's such a wonderful trait to have as a tour guide. She spoke loud enough so as to not "compete" with other tour guides. Our tour's itinerary was well organized and our drive to the pyramids was excellent (thanks to our driver Feli). We couldn't have asked for a better tour.
This tour was perfect from start to finish. Edgar and Rosa picked us up on time. We B lined it for the pyramids and arrived right at opening. Getting there for opening is so important from what I could tell. We left Roma Norte at 7:00am to do this. Many other tours leave at 8:00am or later. This is too late. The second main point is that we had a private tour. I won’t attach the images of what a large group looks like but trust me you want none of it. Rosa was the tour guide and she was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the pyramids and Mexico’s history. She’s very down to earth and I truly enjoyed the side conversations we shared throughout the tour. We were back to our hotel by noon avoiding any traffic issues. Highly recommend. Private tours cost more but they are superior.
Diana runs the company and was my original point of contact. We booked directly through the Local Vibes website. She was very helpful and good about getting back to us regarding any of our questions. Payment was easy. We were a private party of four. We were picked up by a driver (forgive me, but I cannot remember his name) and our guide, Yosafat. They were right on time (7am) and picked us up outside where we were staying. The ride out was comfortable in a nice passenger van and Yosafat told us some interesting things about the areas outside Mexico City that we traveled though. Yosafat was great throughout. Nothing bad to say. He took care of the admission tickets and got us right in. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about Teotihuacan and the people who lived there. We asked lots of questions and never stumped him. We very much enjoyed our time with him and highly recommend him as a guide. The little museum at the end is actually worth a stop. There are some interesting artifacts that help in understanding some of the things you learn about on the tour. We allowed 3 hours for the tour, we probably could have allowed a little more time. We had reservations at a restaurant and we kind of had to hurry toward the end. We went to La Gruta restaurant after the tour and I'd also recommend that. It's in a natural cave which is a fun setting, but the food is also quite good. Overall, I'd definitely use this company again.
Our driver was Edgar and tour guide was Rosa. Both were super kind! Rosa was very knowledgeable and provided us with the history of the site. 🤠 We highly recommend both folks.
We had a fantastic time on our private tour to Teotihuacan with Rosa Maria. She picked us up promptly at 7 AM from our Airbnb in Roma Norte, and we were back by noon in time for lunch. The ride was comfortable, and the tour itself was both informative and wide-ranging. Rosa Maria got us there early and smartly started at the Temple of the Feathered Serpent (don’t skip it!), which made it feel like we had the site almost entirely to ourselves for most of the tour. She brought great energy, and her knowledge added real depth as we explored this fascinating chapter of Mesoamerican history.
Are Tour Guide and driver Monica and Octavio were amazing. Monica was very knowledgeable and very thorough in the tour. The car was very well maintained and easily fit our party of six. We were very happy with our experience and highly recommend them.
Mónica was exceptional! She was playful and patient with my young sons, bringing special bingo-style sheets to engage them. Her expertise brought the history and culture to life.
Premium travel experience that skips all the tourist traps and takes you there and back with a knowledgeable guide and professional driver.
Amazing tour! Great communication from the guides beforehand and excellent education throughout. There are no detours or stops along the route and the entire process took around 4 hours.
Our guide, Noe, knew the subject matter extremely well, and understood how to present it in a way that was informative but not overwhelming. He deserves full credit for our 5 star rating of the tour.
We got off to a slow start but we had a great tour with Diana. She knows everything there is to know about Teotihuacan and kept us moving. She even took us to a great restaurant for a quick lunch. Thank you, Diana!
My daughter and I had a great experience on this tour. We were picked up at our hotel at 7:00 which was a huge perk given that we weren’t staying near one of the usual pick up sites. Our guide was incredibly informative, and even brought books to illustrate certain points and taught us so much. I have been on the large group tours in Mexico before and wanted a more direct and private tour with no stopping at souvenir stands, etc… We did make one stop on the way out, but that was by our choice to get pastries as our hotel breakfast had not opened. I would highly recommend this tour if you want a personalized, private experience, and if you are interested in a more in depth education on what you are seeing.
Lots of people at this attraction but definitely worth visiting. Our private guide, Clara, was very nice and offered great perspective.
Fabulous tour done by the incredibly knowledgeable Diana. Her wealth of information was impressive. We enjoyed it greatly.
Excellent and very professional tour. Highly recommend visiting Teotihuacan if you're in Mexico City. It's fascinating and quite spectacular. Our guide was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Door to door transportation was very comfortable and saved a lot of time versus shared/public options. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable, and provided quite a bit of interesting information about Mexico City on the drive, though a bit more historical context at the pyramids would have been appreciated.
Walk and learn....so much to learn about the stories of Teotihuacan. Our guide Rosa Maria was terrific and taught us all about pyramids' construction and how they were used.
Our tour guide Noe was excellent! Very patient and friendly Highly recommend this tour l. He made it special.
Yosafat was a wonderful guide. Knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Both he and Fede our driver made this a rewarding and very smooth experience. Gracias!
Our private tour with Diana was such a great learning experience! We just thought “pyramids,” but it’s really a whole city. Diana was incredible. There wasn’t a question we threw at her that she couldn’t answer. Highly recommend!
The private tour is worth it! Door to door service and our tour guide Clara was excellent - very informative and led the tour with casual charm.
We had a great tour. We were picked up promptly at 7 at our hotel in Reforma and were dropped off at 12. We didn’t feel rushed and coming before the rest of the crowds did was very clutch. Would recommend!
Our certified guide, Rosa Maria, studied archaeology so she had real understanding of the work done on-site and was an excellent guide providing lots of details and interesting facts. She also kept us safe from the fire ants! Our driver, Christian, was courteous, efficient and on-time all day. The tour was an excellent experience with this team. We were very happy we went with them and you will be too.
The tour guide, Monica, was absolutely fabulous - highly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The driver, Flavio, was skilled and friendly.
Diana is one of the best guides we’ve ever had! She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and engaging. Our 20 and 25 year old sons truly enjoyed the experience thanks to her. Highly recommend this tour and this guide.
I was immensely impressed by the sophistication of ancient Mexican culture - at Teotihuacan and later in the Anthropology Museum. Also embarrassed about how little I learned about it in K-12 and college world history. Diana was a great tour guide. All the logistics were smooth.
Yosaft was a WONDERFUL guide. He provided so much information, lots of helpful pictures so that you could really appreciate the site. I felt like I left with an incredible understanding of the historical significance of Teotihuacan as an architectural marvel, but also the "world view" of the people who lived here in a way I could really memorialize the experience. The balloon ride was so worthwhile—to see the sites from the air was incredible. As a nervous flyer who was a bit skiddish, it was awesome - like an open air elevator. I also want to share that I had a personal crisis (really bad scam call) happen on the way back from the site. Yosaft could tell I was distressed and offered to call the embassy who immediately informed me that it was a spam. They almost got me and as a result, Yosaft is my hero.
I had an incredible experience with the Teotihuacan Express Private Tour from Mexico City, and our guide Cesar made it absolutely exceptional. From the moment he picked us up, the process was smooth, timely, and effortless. Cesar was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history of Teotihuacan and Mexican culture. He offered great suggestions throughout the day, tailoring the experience to our interests while sharing fascinating insights that brought the ancient city to life. The entire tour felt seamless, enjoyable, and deeply enriching. It truly made for a fantastic day of exploring and learning, and I cannot recommend this tour—and Cesar—highly enough. If you’re looking for a memorable and informative visit to Teotihuacan, this is the way to go!
Great tour and Rosa Marie was a great tour guide!! Very informative about Teotihuacan and, in fact, shared insights and knowledge about Mexico City as well!! Highly recommend!
This tour exceeded all my expectations. Our guide Rosa was just spectacular. Knowledgable and professional, but also warm and fun. She, along with our driver Davìd, made the day so amazing. In addition to the pyramids, Rosa took us to additional areas of the complex that other tours didn't go. Thanks to her we saw it all!
Wonderful time touring the pyramids. The archaeological site is vast and amazing. Our guide Rosa Maria was knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. Our driver Salvadore ( I might have that slightly wrong) was the best driver we’ve had in Mexico City.
This was an incredible experience! Diana was our guide and she was amazing. They arrived right on time to pick us up and throughout the whole tour Diana was very knowledgeable and informative of the history but more than that you could tell she is passionate about what she does. Overall an incredible experience from start to finish.10/10!
It was a very good nontouristy tour with a knowledgeable good, that spoke very good english. Cesar was an awesome guide and knew all the recent developments in understanding the temple, history and culture.
Monica was a truly amazing guide and made the experience of seeing the pyramids absolutely unforgettable. This was the highlight of our entire trip to Mexico City and we would 100% recommend that people do this. Monica knew so much about the area and the history, and it made the trip so much more than simply seeing the pyramids. Also, our driver was fantastic - he made sure that we were comfortable and, as someone who gets car sick a lot, he made sure the trip out there was smooth. I very much recommend that all travelers do this!
We had the best guide in Clara and driver Frederico, who made the experience incredible. We highly recommend.
Diana is an excellent guide. Professional, informative, enthusiastic about the City and the Pyramids. Since there is no written record from the builders so much is unknown. She shares current interpretations and asks the travelers their thoughts which is a very nice touch when traveling in a small group.
This was a wonderful tour. The guide, Monica, was extremely professional, personable, pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable. Her communication both before the tour and during it was excellent. She shared a wealth of information about the culture, art, architecture, religion, history, geography, and anthropology of the site. The trip was very well planned, coordinated, and conducted. Our group was very pleased with everything. Monica did a fantastic job and we highly recommend her and Local Vibes!
Rosa Maria was a great guide not only for us adults but also for the kids. She is knowledgeable and patient. The driver was super professional and safe
I am delighted to express my satisfaction with the tour I recently booked with this company. The guide exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Not only was she highly knowledgeable and articulate about the Aztec ruins, but she also possessed extensive knowledge about other regions of Mexico. Her wealth of information and engaging storytelling made our tour an unforgettable experience. The communication was flawless. We were also able to incorporate a last-minute detour to Our Lady of Guadalupe Basilica. The driver was exceptionally courteous and ensured our safety. His driving style instilled a profound sense of relaxation within. Muchísimas Gracias
A fascinating walk around Teoathican with our guide Monica. We were met at our hotel by a driver and our guide and drive to the site. Safe and easy drive. At the site Monica told us all about the history and meaning behind the pyramids. She was full of knowledge and information and shared it in a way that was interesting and helpful. Highly recommend.
Diana and Diego were absolutely the best guides. Diana was so knowledgeable and attentive. She even made the drive to the temples highly informative. She is the very best. I highly reccomend this tour operator and in particular Diana!
Incredible tour! We had a truly amazing time. Everything was so well done and we would do this tour again or another one through this company. They were so knowledgeable, kind, communicative, and organized. 10/10 would recommend!
