It was well planned and executed. Gerry was a great communicator, the van was on time and the tour very informative. Adan was a great driver!

Today we had an extraordinary tour guide, Gerry, and driver, Mario, on our trip from Mexico City to the ruins. Mario was an efficient, safe driver who got us to and from our destination smoothly. Gerry was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and engaging, showing a true passion for his work. He answered every question and was wonderfully inclusive of both English and Spanish speakers throughout the morning. We learned so much and are grateful to both of them. Thank you for a fantastic tour!
Great experience. Early pick up, on time. Straight forward journey to the site, with a short stop on the way if we needed to get breakfast snack/coffee. Guide was so kind, and knowledgeable. He had real passion for the history of Mexico! Small group make it so much more enjoyable.
Arrived before the gates opened so we were first on site at 8am! Pick up was seamless with a text the night before confirming collection time and when they were 5 minutes away. Michelle the guide was fabulous!
Teotihuacan is a must visit spot when staying in Mexico City! This tour, however, left some things to be desired. While we enjoyed the early morning, express format, I found that there were so many Mexican Tales vans there that the claim that the tour was "small group" and that we would "beat the crowds" a little untrue. I think there were 3 other groups with the same company there at the same time fighting for space, made worse by the fact that our guide was clearly the least charismatic/knowledgeable of the group. I would have rathered just being in a larger group with better guide! Perhaps we just got unlucky, but the quality was somewhat lacking in my opinion.
Such a great tour!!! Our guide was a linguist and so knowledgeable, really didn’t feel like too little or too much information it was perfect.
Great guide. Picked us up at the hotel. Made getting there easy and the experience informative. Definitely recommended
Very well organized and punctual. The guide was pleasant and fairly informative. He seemed new but still very caring. The one big negative is that it is a small van and they pack people in for this 1 hr drive to the site. We are small people and felt very crammed.
Great experience. - i received regular updates on the plans ahead of the day and in the morning ahead of my pick up - the guides were friendly and gave us a good introduction to the site - small group (which is better) of 15 max. - definitely smart to go early and beat the crowds. Different feeling to see the site empty first. First pictures without anyone on the sites were amazing. - on time without anyone feeling of being rushed.
Great tour highly recommend, our tour guide Abril was amazing definitely go in the morning to avoid the heat & crowds. 5 stars all the way
Wonderful experience in this tour. I was looking for a pyramid tour that didn’t take all day, and this hit the spot. We had Gerry as our guide and Alejandro as our driver. Gerry was very communicative before the tour, letting us know when and where to get picked up. He was also very knowledgeable about the ruins. Alejandro was a great driver and got us there safely. He was able to navigate super congested traffic due to a strike. Highly recommend :)
Brilliant excursion! Our guide, Gerry, and driver were both wonderfully professional and friendly. Gerry was a very capable and knowledgeable guide, and managed our many, MANY questions (about the site, the history and cultural significance of a number of indigenous civilisations, about contemporary struggles and developments in excavation and research) with a depth of knowledge and grace. He was incredibly kind and generous with his knowledge even outside of the tour, giving us food recommendations and detailed recommendations of his favourite ways to see Mexico City. Thank you for such a lovely and professionally managed excursion, I’ll be sending plenty of folks your way!
Early bird catches the worm... I recommend this early morning tour. We left at 6:30 am to avoid traffic (traffic in Mexico city is a nightmare) and got to the pyramids before they opened. Jerry and driver Marcos were wonderful. Jerry is full of personality, happy and very excited about showing the best of Mexico. The Teotihuacan experience was instructive and interesting. The weather was not great so I bout a $3 plastic poncho that was very handy. We went up one of the pyramids and it was quite the hike, Not recommended for those with physical disabilities but our group included a 4 year old girl who had no issues with the climbing and walking, Lots of vendors. The bathrooms were very clean. The guide dropped us back safely and in time. A must see if visiting Mexico City,
I can't imagine coordinating the transportation out to the site and back on my own. It's a trek. I also can't imagine somehow duplicating the informative interpretation that our guide gave as well as understanding how to make our way around the huge site in a way that made sense and meaning of it all. Such a great experience!
Excellent day trip. I chose it because we would beat the crowds and there were no unnecessary side trips. We were able to be back in the city in time to do other things. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer the questions of the group.
Good tour and very efficient. The site is amazing and going early was a great way to beat the crowds and roam more freely around the ruins. Our guide Gerry and driver Marco were super friendly and timely. They made sure we were comfortable, and kept us informed of what to expect during the entire trip.
Excellent tour, highly recommend! On time, friendly, and lots of information as we walked around. Would happily go again!
This tour was well run. The direct pick up/drop off at hotel and communication with the guide was smooth. As a historian myself, I appreciated the depth of information and the length of time we had at the site. Having a private early morning tour group was really excellent.
We had a great time on the tour! Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly, and our group was the first to arrive to the site - just 5 minutes before they opened - which allowed for some incredible views and photos.
got picked up early, bus was clean and air conditioned. expect to make a few stops for other guest pick ups. also a pit stop at the gas station for snacks. the site was amazing. tour was split into two- english and spanish. wonderful experience. I would go again.
Great tour of the pyramids that are actually not pyramids. Beatriz was a great guide, very knowledgeable and organised. Communication before the tour was clear and to the point. This tour is all you need to see this impressive site. Bring sunblock and sunblocking clothes. There is no shade and the sun is relentless.
We had the best experience with ‘Mexican Tales’, our driver Noe and our guide Ric made the trip fun and informative. Choosing the early start was great, we avoid the traffic as they describe it. Their communication was great and timely. Gracias Mexican Tales.
It was fantastic getting there before the crowds. It really feels like you have the place to yourself, more or less, for the first hour. A great experience and a fascinating place to visit!
This was the highlight of our trip because not only was the trip beautiful, but also incredibly engaging and informative. Maria was a 5star tour guide who did the entire trip in both English and Spanish. Each thing she shared was short and sweet and I never felt like I was missing out on any of the translations. I appreciated the way she pointed out different art and architectural styles that we should take note of along the way, so much so that towards the end of the tour we could identify different characteristics on our own! The trip was early, but totally worth it to enter early without a lot of people in your photos. As the morning progressed it got more crowded so it was nice to experience it both in a peaceful and bustling environment!
Had a great time on this tour. The scheduling of pickup was easy and the transportation was nice and comfortable. The tour itself was informative and I appreciated being there so early to enjoy the space with little to no people. Would recommend for first time visitors
This tour was a perfect amount of time to experience Teotihuacan. It took all the stress of getting there and buying a ticket. Our guide Aline was informative without being boring. Really appreciated the extra photos she had to help us understand what we were seeing. I learned a lot and can't imagine trying to explore on our own. Driver picked us up right on time at 6:45am - we had one quick pit stop on the way there to use bathroom (bring pesos ) and get some snacks / coffee / etc / we were one of the 1st groups to arrive with no crowds. We spent about 2 hours exploring and were home by 12:15 - No surprises or attempts to sell us anything we weren't expecting. Honestly don't think you need anymore time that this tour provides. See it , learn about it , get some amazing pictures which our guide helped us with , safe travels there and back.
Amazing experience, got there before the crowd. Totally worth the early wake up! Our guide Ara was great. Highly recommend adding this to your trip.
Wonderful experience! Guide was very knowledgeable and professional. Was able to see the temple site before the large crowds arrived. Had ample time to take in the sites, browse vendors, and shoot photos. Beatriz was an amazing guide, and our driver Memo (Mimo?) was excellent. Would highly recommend this tour to others planning to visit the pyramids!
Maria and her team were excellent! They picked us up at our front door, we arrived at the pyramids/temples as they were opening ... and then Maria led us on an amazing exploration of the temples, the housing/buildings around the temples ... plenty of climbing and photos! Maria is very knowledgeable about the park, the history, the legends, and more. Our group had a great time and was back in the city by 12PM or so. Several other participants were catching flights home that night and had no trouble getting a full pyramid/temples experience and back at the hotel with plenty of time to pack up and go to airport. The trip was great, efficient, and we highly recommend it!
It was a wonderful experience getting to know such a historic place. It is full of wonder and awe. You get to climb the moon temple and walk through the street of the dead, while the guide gives history nuggets and speculation on what had happened to the civilization.
The tour to Teotihuacán was incredible! Adán our driver kept us safe and got us there in a timely fashion, and Gerry, our tour guide, did his thing. He was so knowledgeable on the subject, answered our questions and was very patient with us. If you’re coming to CDMX, don’t miss this tour to the temples!
Guided by the knowledgeable Gerry who offered fabulous information, this was a great trip to see the pyramids and ruins before the crowds and heat! Would recommend.
The early start is totally worth it! We were the first group to enter the Teotihuacan area and with our lovely guide, Beatriz, we learned a lot about the unique history and culture of the area and the impressive pyramids. Highly recommend this wonderful tour which has no tourist traps, so you can relax and just enjoy, appreciate, and learn.
Excellent guide! We learned so much! Even though we had to wake up early for this tour, it was worth it because the grounds were not crowded. By the time we left, it was hot and crowded. Definitely one of the high points of our trip to Mexico City.
We liked this trip very much. Great contact with organizer, they picked us up from hotel, we spent great time at Teotihuacán with very kind guide. 100% recommendation!
We really apreciated the experience. The guide Gerry and the driver Mario were the best!!! Very gentle and well knowed about the Place.
Well paced tour from start to finish, with pick up/drop off from hotel it is very conveniente, Avril was great tour guide.
Going early in the morning before the crowds was absolutely the right decision, and honestly that was the highlight of this tour. Seeing Teotihuacan before it became packed made the experience much more enjoyable and gave us great opportunities for photos. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this tour based on the guide we had. Our guide, Aline, seemed either very new or not particularly knowledgeable about the site. Before our visit, we spent time researching Teotihuacan ourselves and also visited the National Museum of Anthropology’s Teotihuacan exhibit, so we had some background going in. During the tour, we noticed SEVERAL inaccuracies, including the basic names of the two main pyramids, (pyramid of the sun and pyramid of the moon) which was disappointing. Our tour guide was also unfortunately more focused on taking photos of us around the sites than actually giving us any factual information. The drive from Mexico City was about 40 minutes and it felt like a missed opportunity. It would have been great to learn about the surrounding area, the history of Mexico City, or the region during the drive, but there was very little information shared. Throughout the tour, I found myself having to ask questions just to get more context and explanation. I don’t write this to be overly critical, but I do think it’s important for future visitors to know that the quality of the experience depends heavily on the guide. There are likely more experienced, knowledgeable, and stronger English-speaking guides available who could make a visit to such an incredible archaeological site much more meaningful. If your priority is getting into Teotihuacan before the crowds, this tour accomplishes that very well. Beyond the early access though, I would recommend researching other tour companies or asking specifically about the guide you’ll be assigned.
Whilst the guide was professional and friendly, their English competency can do with improvement to help deliver the historical content more effectively.
Great communication for pick up. Knowledgeable guide. Will recommend and travel again in the future!
Astonishing site and matching guide to the beauty of the site
Van was pretty cramped. Didn’t see everything at the site. Only found out the next day when we went to the anthropology museum. Guess it was a standard tour
Best to go on the early morning tour and get back to the city by around noon. It’s can get really hot out there and not much shade. Aaron messaged me the night before with the meeting point since it changed, which was helpful knowing in advance, good communication throughout the trip. Thank you Aaron and our driver.
Raul & Mister Hugo were so gracious, communicative, and informative. A very lovely and interesting visit to Teotihuacan, they made it very easy and enjoyable. Muchas gracias Raul!
Amazing half day trip without the crowds Small personalized bus shuttle experience Take lots of pics without thousands of people around
Of course the most amazing experience e Teotihuacan is — The place… What a trip. But the trip was made even more worthwhile — educationally, and socially, was our guide Maria. She led us thru the history, iconography, and artistry, allowing for learning and exploring. She was fantastic! Thanks so much for a great trip1
This was a fantastic tour. Very communicative guides. Hugo was a great driver on a difficult day of driving (markets closed off streets). Gerry was extremely kind, knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout the tour of Teotihuacan - we learned so much! It was an early wake up but they made a stop halfway to Teotihuacan which was a great touch for anyone needing the restroom, coffee or snacks. Water and snack were provided for the drive home.
I loved the tour with Geraldo and Fernando. We arrived at the park right when it opened, so we were able to see everything with fewer people around, and the historical explanations were excellent. The team was very friendly and attentive! I highly recommend it!
Gerry and Fernando were amazing!! Gave us lots of recommendations and got us there and back safe and sound :) very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend.
Take some walking shoes, a hat, and enjoy! Our guide Max was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We went up the first level to the Pyramid of the Moon and it was quite a workout! It's quite steep and scary, but exhilarating. Most of the souvenir vendors accept credit cards and of pesos. I took the half-day tour, which was enough time to enjoy the ancient site. I highly recommend it.
