Itinerary
After meeting your guide in Mexico City, you will drive to Tlatelolco, today the largest archaeological site in Mexico City. Here, you'll learn about this important site, which was part of the capital of the Aztec empire and where the biggest market of that empire stood. You will see Plaza of the Three Cultures where the Prehispanic, colonial and modern Mexico get together.
You will head to the Shrine of Guadalupe (Basilica de Guadalupe). This is the most important religious building in all of Mexico and one of the most visited places in the Catholic world, annually receiving more than 20 million pilgrims.
Visit an obsidian workshop and learn about this ancient craftmanship, which is taught from generation to generation! In addition, you will indulge in the flavors of Mexico's most famous liquor: Tequila! Afterward, you will be able to purchase as many souvenirs as you wish
Have some time to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you will witness an authentic Fiesta with traditional dances and music.
You will continue your tour to Teotihuacan, “City of the Gods.” A professional guide will accompany you on a journey through the history of this mystical place. Walk around the ruins and be in awe, as many Mesoamerican ancient travelers must have been when they came from other cities of its time. See the famous Sun and Moon Pyramids and take in the incredible views from the top of these. The guided tour is 1 hour long, and you would also have 70 minutes to explore the site on your own. *Important: Teotihuacan has limited access due to Covid 19 restrictions (this might change on a day by day basis) Due to COVID restrictions, some areas of Teotihuacán may be closed.

It was an amazing experience. I'm so grateful for Poncho and Alicia! It is a long day, but totally worth it. Very informative and probably best for adults.
It is a great tour with many interesting stops. Alicia and Poncho did a great Job. Alicia is very knowledgable and well-prepared. I highly recommend this tour.
Tour guides Sal and Poncho were very helpful, professional and knowledgeable and at times very funny
Great tour! Sal was a fantastic guide and very organized. More time at the basilica would have been nice, but a lot of that was out of the guides’ control (traffic). Would recommend for other first time visitors to Mexico City.
Long day but worth it. Fun day! Our guide, Alexa was great!
Great tour - highly recommend. The guide Alex is very knowledgeable and keeps the group engaging and the whole experience entertaining.
Great experience, ideal to fill the day with a organized activity
Excellent tour with an amazing and knowledgeable guide (Alex)
Alex was an awesome guide that was informative , humorous and shared personal insight that really added a comfortable feeling . Best tour guide ✨️
Alexa was a very good comunicator. Made the experience fun and informative. Very organized
Good. Not exceptional. Not a good monetary deal. Rough registration process at the beginning at the coffee shop. Poor crowd control. Decent guide Miriam. Mediocre lunch.
Miriam and Geraldo were absolutely incredible. The pickup was easy, everything was on time. It was beyond our expectations. We saw so many things, met so many talented and kind folks. Way worth the money. We could not believe how much was included! It was a full day of adventures and we learned so much. Must visit!
Miriam is so knowledgeable and made this trip so much fun!! Our tour guide Heraldo made the trip so enjoyable. I would recommend this tour to anyone
The entire tour was very well organized and well paced. Our guides, Alicia and Leonardo, were exceptional!
This was one of the best experiences I had. Lily, the tour guide, was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, I will surely take another tour with her as a guide. Antonio (Toño), was an excellent driver very courteous and professional. It was an old day tour, where experimented the culture in several different ways. The atmosphere and group were excellent. The lunch, traditional BBQ, was superb. I recommend this tour and tour agency 100%.
Fantastic day tour, well worth the price! Alexa was very knowledgeable and fun. We had a larger group but Alexa was very organized and kept the tour on track. Great tour for everyone, Alexa was very accommodating.

Alycia and Leonardo were fantastic. They helped keep everyone organized, told us lots of interesting facts, and made the trip so much fun.
A day well spent. Each stop was very well explained by the guide, Alexa. well-allocated time for each activity. Teotihuacan was the best part.
Excellent trip to Tlatelolco, Basilica of Our Lady of Guadeloupe, and Teotihuacan pyramids thanks to a most knowledgeable guide, Leonardo Mora who saturated us with Mexican culture and history. Leonardo also took great care of the group.

Our tour guide was the highlight of our visit to the pyramids and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe! She was incredibly helpful and made the entire day feel easy and comfortable for us. We really appreciated how well she took care of us throughout the tour. Visiting these amazing places was a memorable experience, and having such a great guide made it even better. Highly recommend!
Alicia our tour guide was excellent and took us wonderland
Alicia was super knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time!
Our guides are knowledgeable and friendly. We learnt a lot about the history behind the sites we visited. 5 stars!
We had a great time on this excursion. Jorge, our guide, was knowledgeable and engaging. And he made sure my dietary needs were accommodated. All in all, a nice outing focused on regional history.
Couldn't make it to my original tour, but Amigo tours was kind enough to accommodate me on another tour the same day! Loved the energy and enthusiasm from our guides Salvatore and Gherson! Very knowledgeable and always sharing fun tidbits. Following the Teotihuacan pyramids visits we had an authentic barbacoa experience that has been my highlight of the trip. Also got to meet native Navajo people and saw their cultures and obsidian workshop! Later in the evening we also made a stop at the Basílica Santa María de Guadalupe which was beautiful! All in all, I had an amazing time and highly recommended Amigo tours & Sal and Gherson as your tour guides!
Ele and Lili were amazing guides, and offered tours in both English and Spanish languages. Lili was our guide for the English speaking portion of the tour and she proved extremely knowledgeable and kind. We had a wonderful time on our tour and can’t wait to share all we’ve learned with our loved ones.
We really enjoyed it! Lily & Elias made it awsome! We learned new stuff, seen interesting places, felt well cared. The lunch was nice. Lily gave us some good tips about what to do in our free time. Great trip!
I have very mixed feelings about this tour. First, I had received emails about booking with their transportation for an extra fee. I found that to be a nice, easy plan so I did. I paid for the transportation and was told I would receive my pick up time between 5pm and 6pm the day before. I received NOTHING. I emailed, I called and still received nothing. It wasn’t until a few hours before the meet that they emailed me to say I was on my own and that they would refund me what I paid. The guide was good and informative. However, the tour was being highlighted as three main places- Teotihuacán, Tlatelolco and the Guadalupe Shrine. It was mentioned there would be a stop for a pre-Hispanic ritual, mezcal tasting and chance to purchase obsidian. In total, we spent more time there than we did at any of the other sites. In fact, we barely had 1.5hrs at the pyramids, which is really the main attraction for this tour. Walking the grounds and climbing the pyramid is rushed when you spend more than 2 hours somewhere else. Most of the people on our tour didn’t even know there was a whole other side to the complex because there wasn’t time to explore. We also arrived quite late at the Basilica, so even there, some of the places nearby to purchase things were closed before we could.
I love these tours I don’t have any family in Mexico but I always feel and know I’ll be in these types of tours
Awesome tour. Full of information and history. Fun learning about the different cultures and seeing all the sites. Alex was an excellent tour guide. He made the tour fun and answered every question with detail. Highly recommend him for English speakers wanting to take this tour.
Guides included Leonardo and Ilzar, and driver Felix. Easy pickup and drop off, and clear communication of the history of each place. Each stop allowed for personal time to explore and shop. Convenience of the transportation to all of these stops is worth the price and booking a day for. We would not have seen all of these locations if we tried to book travel and admission separately.
Great experience! Lili was my tour guide in english and she was really knowledgeable, thorough, and a great story teller! Alice was the spanish guide. Both gave a clear explanation of the itinerary and were very welcoming.
I really enjoyed the tour itself. The guides were amazing. Lili did a phenomenal job explaining each destination’s significance and history. Her English was very understandable and articulate despite it being her second language. She also brought maps and diagrams to help her and the guests visualize each site. There was sufficient free time at each stop so the structure of the tour was well thought out. The only problem I had was the lack of communication with the pick up that was booked through the tour. I had to follow up to get the pick up time on two occasions. There was two pick up areas at my hotel and I was unsure which location I was being picked up at. But I appreciated that the tour messaged me directly to let me know my driver had arrived so I knew to go look for him at the other pick up location.
Well organized, detailed explanations, funny anecdotes, and friendly atmosphere overall, I definitely recommend Lilly and Alice!
Lily was great! Very informative and organized.
