Good service, punctual and well organized. The transportation was comfortable, and both the guide and the driver were very kind and attentive throughout the tour.

The two cities are very worth this side trip. Note that there is a lot of driving required. I encourage the guide to be careful not to leave members of the group behind. There was a lengthy emphasis on the silver shops (it was even the first stop in Taxco and then there were two others), and this should be shortened.
Donte was a great guide. He knew exactly what he was doing and when to do each step. Taxco was a charming city. We had a great experience seeing the replica of a silver mine, walked around for pictures, and shopped in two places, one expensive but with good quality and the other was cheaper. He also showed us the scenes in Cuernavaca. The morning pickup was a bit of wait but after that everything was great. We were able to come back around 7:30. Overall a great tour.
This tour was not what I expected. I assumed there would be a tour leader to show us around and give explanations. There was only a driver who knew some English. He tried hard but was not what I expected. There was a lot more time driving than I expected. Cuernavaca was just a stop to see the Cathedral. In Taxco there was a stop at a fake silver mine for some explanation and then shopping in the attached jewelry store. Then there was lunch, a short walk through town with a stop at the cathedral and then shopping at another jewelry store. The driver did not set time limits on the shopping so there was a lot of standing around and waiting. Then a long walk back to the bus. If you expect to see an interesting colonial town, this is not it
The trip was amazing! We spent such a wonderful time in Cuernavaca and Taxco. Both places are so historical and unique, especially Taxco which is reminded me Toledo town in Spain. Also, Taxco known as a place where silver and silver products are mined and sold. I would definitely recommend the tour.
The trip was very well organized. Our guide, Abner was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and kind. Our driver, Adan was an expert driver and was very attentive.
I really enjoyed a trip to picturesque Taxco. Our guide, Dante, was excellent; he even arranged to pick me up from my hotel and drop me off at the end of the tour. It was a big difference from the day before, when I was supposed to go to Taxco with another tour agency, Amigo Tours. They failed to pick me up from the meeting point indicated on my ticket, saying they had changed the location. As a result, I didn't join them and booked this trip for the following day. It was a fabulous day and very well-organized excursion with plenty of free time.
It’s a lot walking that includes up and down cobbled street and lots of hillls and stairs. But it’s beautiful.
Adan was super knowledgeable and friendly. His passion for the history of the sites is evident. Great tour and experience.
Prepare for a day long trip, but pleasurable and interesting, the guide was knowledgeable and our driver drove safely.
My trip started with being picked up by a tour guide. Quickly we realized that those of us in the van were heading in different directions. I then was told to switch cars when we got to central. I texted the person who organized the tour and asked him what was going on. He said this was the plan all along and acknowledged that should have been communicated. The trip to Cueravera was very quick but nice none the less. When we got to Taxco, it became evident that the others on the tour with me had a bit of a different agenda. They spent so much time talking that we ended up spending a long time at each place. The tour guide quickly picked up on this and led me to the next stop for which I was extremely appreciative. I do wish that there was some guidelines in terms of times in a specific place. It was clear that some of the other guests didn’t pick up on the fact that we had limited time. Overall the ride was great but the plan was not followed. I never got to see how the silver was made which was a part of the trip I was very excited about. The tour guide was truly phenomenal but I think this tour in general needs to tighten up loose ends. Something I do want to note is I articulated the desire to sit toward the front because I have gotten very carsick. Not only did they listen to me, they had me sit in the front. If you go bring cash and snacks!
Excellent booking. Vendor was great at communicating with us about pickup and providing context for each site that was visited.
I was a last minute guest who signed up about an hour before pickup. I had deliberated on several trip options the night before and reached out to Viator customer service who promptly replied to my email requests on two different trips, including sending links to sign up. The next morning I signed up, immediately the tour agent contacted me and confirmed my trip. I asked if it were possible, if convenient, to get a pick up at no charge. It was confirmed and they gave me a timeframe. Pickup went smoothly. The trip was in a comfortable van with AC and with 7 other passengers. The entire trip was well done in both Spanish and English. Tour guide was organized and gave historical context to the sites. We had time to shop, stopped for bathroom/snacks (on your own expense) on the way to Cuernavaca. Lunch was late afternoon at a nice restaurant (not included in price). The driver was exceptional. He drove safely and knew the roads well. His skilled driving saved us time on the return to CDMX which was nice after a long day trip. The trip itself was very reasonably priced. Tips not included, and the guide and driver well deserved acknowledgment for a job well done. I will use Viator again for excursions and recommend this trip. There is uphill walking on slick cobblestones and long drive to destinations, so keep in mind.
A long day but seeing Cuernavaca and Taxco is great. Guide Alan and driver very good and nice and helpful. Van was newer and very comfortable.
This excursion was definitely worth taking! Both our driver and our guide, Andres, were very kind and communicative. The drive was long, but we had a quick stop halfway in Cuernavaca, where we enjoyed breakfast and a local church. We arrived in Taxco with a mission to purchase some beautiful silver jewelry, and the stores did not disappoint! The beginning of the tour starts with the usual affiliated store. We listened to a quick story about the store and the silver mines, and were offered a mezcal drink. The group was to have lunch after that, but my friend, daughter and I decided to explore on our own. We went to several silver jewelry stores, saw the magnificent cathedral, and had lunch with a view in a nice restaurant. All in all it was a beautiful day. I would recommend this trip if you are in the market to shop for silver in a picturesque setting.
My daughter booked this tour for my wife and me, and the experience was phenomenal and very fun. I recommend it to you 100%! Everything was perfectly organized and above all the guide was super attentive, kind, and helpful.
Our guide Pepe was excellent... he never left us alone and accompanied us everywhere! Please, if you want to buy silver, DO NOT buy at the 1st place they take you... look later on your own! The prices are excessively high!! The tour is highly recommended, but if your plan is to buy silver, take it easy and buy later at other stores.
Very interesting and well taken care of by the guide who made the excursion very enjoyable. Taxco is beautiful, and we have learned a lot culturally.
I don't give it the 5 stars for a safety issue, we had a little mishap on the road with another vehicle, both were at fault, I think drivers should drive more carefully and be cautious, exceeding a mule on a two-lane track is dangerous. I also think they should let people choose where to eat and not take them to specific places, where food is more expensive. Otherwise I liked Taxco is very cute, but we delayed a lot in silver jewelry places and that took time to walk through its streets and tour more. Cuernavaca did not delay, it was coming in to leave, I would have liked to travel more.
The best thing about the Tour was undoubtedly our guide Marco Antonio, and mention also our driver Andrés.
The transfer and friendliness, was fine, but they did not fulfill what promised to visit, did not clarify at first and took us to a place for lunch, but each paid their bill, it could still be said that the place was optional. For the rest of it.
Excellent Service of the guide and driver very good experience , times , very nice places, consult questions all recommended
Taxco is a beautiful town, a must. The stop in Cuernavaca was balanced, long enough. We arrived at Taxco in good time. Perhaps what would be missing is having at least an additional hour of walking around the village; currently they give an hour and it is not enough to go through it and do shopping
The itinerary offered is not fulfilled. In Cuernavaca the tour to the cathedral was no more than 20 min, even less. Then they only left 20 minutes free (instead of 1 hour) which was to go freely around the cathedral, go to the bathroom, and see the fair in front. They wouldn't let you roam the village. Too bad as I had to do considering 1 hour off. The visit to silverware totally unnecessary, which interests you has many reins to choose from. The very nice taxco village
Take money in coins to pay for taxis, use sunblock and cap or hat, do not buy jewelry in Maestros Artesanos its prices are exorbitant, buy jewelry in the Tianguis, find your favorite restaurant and not the one that your tour guide tells you. The tour guide provided very little information compared to other guides I have met.
Beautiful places are visited and there is some free time to explore on your own. Juan (driver) and Marco (guide) were friendly and flexible. The point of improvement is the classic foray to silver shop and covenant restaurant, which were not bad, but perhaps we could have found better options (which is impossible to check).
guida preparata ed ottimo giro, mezzo pulito e comodo, consiglio a tutti la gita. Direi a chiunque di fidarsi ed acquistare
