I did the Roma and Condesa Street Food Tour by bicycle. It was a fun way to start my holiday in Mexico City and a great way to familiarise myself with the local food and drink. Both guides were fantastic and did a great job at looking after the group and keeping us safe on the roads. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City. Thank you Bike and Munches for a great experience!
We had such a great time on this biking food tour with Valentin and Amistad. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the city and made us feel safe and comfortable navigating the streets the entire time. The pace was perfect, with a nice mix of biking and stops to try different foods. It was a fun and efficient way to see the Roma and Condesa neighborhoods and experience a variety of local spots we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. Highly recommend if you want a more immersive way to explore Mexico City!
I had a fabulous experience with Marisa and Alejandra! We came to Mexico City for the San Diego Padres baseball game, and heard great things about Bikes and Munchies, so we booked a bike/food tour. We had the best time exploring Roman Norte… this is truly an exceptional area in Mexico City with lots of cute coffee, shops, bakeries, variety of foods, and Mexican originals.:) One opportunity for improvement would be getting a microphone or stopping in areas that aren’t so loud… At times it was hard to hear the tour guides. But they were very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. They made sure we were very safe on the roads while bicycle riding, too. Anyone can do it! One recommendation for tourists is to bring padded spandex // etc for your bum. The bicycle seats are not in great shape. The bikes are totally safe (I work for a bicycle manufacturer); brakes and chains are intact. However seats are not comfortable, handlebars can be narrow or wide, and helmets are not the best. It would be awesome to get a few upgrades with bike seats and helmet when possible! Thank you very much ladies for making the day so memorable. We will definitely see you next time!! Xoxo
Awesome food tour of Roma and Condesa! The bike rides were very secure and easy to follow. It was nice to be able to see points of interest as well as trying food. It ends with a very long bike ride which was a perfect way to get in some exercise after eating for several hours. We went on a Sunday morning when the main roads are closed and it was an incredible way to get around the city.
Velia and Rodrigo were FANTASTIC tour guides on our Roma and Condesa food tour by bicycle! Not only excellent bites but great insights. We got to explore new foods at authentic local spots we’d never have found on our own! And they took great care in keeping us safe, with a safety rider stopping at each intersection to pause traffic for us. Useful advice, personal insights, and a warm vibe that made us feel welcome. THANK YOU!!
The Bikes and Munchies tour was a great time. Valentin, Miranda and Velia were great guides who worked as a team to get us through the city. Food sampling was great, quick bits of history throughout the tour, and enjoyed the group of guests that were with us. 13 bikers, 3 guides, and lots of fun!
It felt like exploring the city with a group of friends rather than being on a tour. I’d 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to see a city in an active, delicious, and memorable way — whether it’s your first visit or you think you already know the place. Plus, our guide Miranda was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even more fun.
We had a great time on this tour! Guides were friendly, informative and guided us safely through the streets. Food was amazing!
It was amazing We learned so much about the history of Mexico City 🇲🇽, as well as enjoying the unique neighborhoods. I felt totally safe on the bike. Our guide was so vigilant about safety and gave great directions and support. The food we sampled was outstanding. I so enjoyed his input and knowledge as this was my first visit to Mexico City 🇲🇽
This is a great experience! Andrew and Amistad were fantastic guides, historians, hosts, and guardians of our safety on the ride. The food was delicious and timed well between riding and eating. My only regret was not doing this sooner in our trip. Shout out to Miranda for keeping us company after the tour with kind and fun conversation.
We were guided by Valentin, Amistad and Andres. Safety was their priority and ensured that we were able to weave through the busy streets of Mexico City with ease. The route, the food experience, the historical insights from the guides were all amazing! This is the tour and the guides to book with!
My partner and I went on a morning bike tour with Armistad and Andrew and loved it! I was almost tempted to do a different tour/route with them the next day. It was great to see multiple neighborhoods in Ciudad de Mexico by bike and to get a feel for cycling there. The tour we took was in the morning so we got to start our day with tamales and coffee. I had not tried any of the types of tamales that we got and was so glad to try new ones. All the food that we had was not only delicious but also helped to expand our cultural knowledge due to Andrew’s explanations. Andrew was great at telling us where we were and the significance of each area and features we came across. The group size was good (8 people) and the speed and distance of the ride were very manageable. Armistad was amazing at scouting intersections, keeping cars away from us, making sure everyone stayed together, watching the bikes while we went to see various things along the way and generally ensuring our safety. Andrew was amazing in his explanations, pacing the ride, keeping us on route and on time, keeping cars away from us at the front, and navigating us around all the hazards of city biking. Both Armistad and Andrew were unbelievably friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and skilled. I feel so lucky to have gone on this tour with them and would love to hang out with them more. ¡A huevo! As an added bonus, Miranda hung out with us at the after we returned (and took our time leaving). She was so friendly also and very knowledgeable. I wish I could rate this tour more than 5 stars.
The tour was great! Saw a lot of the sites and different neighborhoods. The food was so good and the history was great! Andrew and Amistad were fabulous guides they did a great job sharing information and keeping our group together!
Excellent tour! It was so much fun and a great way to see different neighborhoods of the city! Very safe as they ensure you are o ly biking in safe traffic conditions.
Andre and Valentin were so friendly and funny! They made us feel comfortable right away. I felt safe riding through the crazy traffic of Mexico City! Very informative and honest! Loved them! Great way to see the city!
This was probably our favorite part of our first visit to Mexico City. Our guide Andrew was great. He led us through the different neighborhoods safely on our bikes, while providing information about the areas and some additional history of CDMX. It was a great ride and experience getting to see so much of the city in a different way. And as great as that was, the food everywhere was amazing. Quesadillas (not like what we get in America) at the Medellin market, basket tacos from street vendors and then more great tacos at another market allowed us to be pretty full by the time we returned to our starting point where we finished with some churros, beer and mezcal! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Mexico City.
Fabulous food bike tour. Great stops and amazing knowledge of the city. Velia and Claudio were amazing
Isaac and Andre were excellent guides through the streets of Roma Norte, Juarez, Condesa, and more. We felt safe with their safe practices and appreciated their knowledge of the area. The food stops were timed well and provided a varied sampling of the best street food around.
Valentín, Andrew and Alexandra were excellent guides. This was such a fun day. The food was surprisingly plentiful from some Of the best spots in CDMX. Tamales first off taco tasting and ending with tequila and churros. Plenty of stops and interesting history to seem a bonus was the Medillian Market wow! Don’t miss this tour. It was well worth it.
Sunday Morning casual bike trip through some of the nice areas of Mexico. The streets were mainly dedicated bicycle lanes although it gets busy but manageable in the park Our group of six was well taken care of from a safety standpoint. Along the way , aside from tasting food at multiple local vendors ( yes , it’s safe ) our two guides or rather hosts , Issac and Velia , were personable , humorous , dynamic giving us information and history and daily life at numerous stops along the way.
An amazing tour through some of the prettiest parts of Mexico City. We didn't realise we covered so much ground and got lots of local insights and history throughout. Then there was the street food. All of which was incredible and helped set the standard for the rest of our stay.
A great time! Biking is a wonderful way to see the city. Andrew was an excellent guide. Could not have been nicer or more attentive. Also was great navigating us through the busy streets and of course very knowledgeable. The various foods were delicious!
I will start saying I’m not the most sporty or skilled biker in the road and taking a tour in Mexico City at first felt a little bit scary, but after taking a tour with this company I couldn’t recommend them enough! They care about security, you have one guide in front of the group and another closing it, they give you helmets and make this experience not only fun but also made me gain confidence about myself. Great binding experience to do with friends, we all had a blast and lots of us felt the same way about this tour, plus the food tour is safe and delicious! If you are looking for safe biking tours this are your guides
Amazing! We had the best experience and highly recommend! Isaac, Andre, Miranda, Valentine, Velia, and Amistad were fabulous. A must do in Mexico City!!
We had a lot of fun doing the street food tour through Juarez, Roma Norte, Condesa, and Chapultapec Forest. Valentin was a fantastic guide. I especially appreciated how accommodating they were to those of us with dietary restrictions. I didn’t expect to find vegetarian friendly street food vendors but they exist! What really set this bike tour apart from another one we’ve done in a big city was the care that Amistad took keeping the bikes in good shape leading up to the event and helping direct traffic around us as we rode through the city. We felt a lot safer than you’d expect for this sort of thing!
Andre was our guide, it was an amazing tour… overall it was fun and the food was delicious I highly recommend them. I had a great time.
An amazing and warm tour that was so thoughtfully planned. We enjoyed each stop that supported local vendors but also in areas and places that we would've never found on our own. Our host Velia was so friendly, knowledgable, considerate, and flexible throughout the entirety of the tour. 5 stars, highly recommend to anyone that has a big appetite for food and culture!
We just finished the bike tour and had a great time. You start at the Bazar fusion with some breakfast tamales which were delicious. There’s a restroom you can use before starting the tour. The bikes are a bit on the older side but functional. The tour guides do a great job of helping everyone stay safe by blocking traffic and holding off cars so that the group can pass. There’s another opportunity for a restroom at the first stop in a mercado. The drinks and food we tasted were all fantastic. The bike ride was leisurely and we had no issues even though we landed last night and did the tour this morning in case you have concerns about the altitude. Overall a fantastic tour where we got to see the city, learn some history, and taste some food. Thanks to Miranda and Amistad who took care of us and made sure we had a great time. This tour is really a great value. Don’t hesitate to book!
Tour guides were knowledgeable and protective of the tour guide while we were on the road, stopping aggressive drivers from ruining our vibe. The end of trip drinks with the group was fun too!
Valentin and Astrid, our guides, were wonderful. We started a "get to know each other" by introducing everyone and eating some delicious tamales. We biked to various parts of Mexico City trying different types of street food and deserts at the end. One thing we noticed right away quesadillas are not always with cheese here and typically folded like a taco. All the food was amazing! It was also nice to have some historical information told at each place we visited. You're even offered some mezcal at the end. A terrific way to see, experience, and taste Mexican culture. Highly recommend.
Isaac was a great guide, the pace of the ride was comfortable for all and we found the information he shared both informative and interesting. He was also very capable and willing to answer the many questions we asked him.
Starting my trip to Mexico City with the Bikes and Munchies was absolutely the right call! We explored the city, learned about it's history, and ate amazing food. Our tour guide Veila did an amazing job leading us through the city at a gentle pace and teaching us all about Mexico City's rich history. The food we ate was a perfect collection of street food and places I wouldn't have know to try. I would absolutely do this tour again and will recommend it to everyone I know!
This is the tour we are looking for. It suits our expectations perfectly. Cycling around Roma and Condesa, side seeing around historical neighbourhood while hunting for local street food. Being first time in Mexico city, this tour brought us direct to the heart of the local life and food. The lead tour guide (Belia), lead us in our journey around the town and explains the history of the town. The assistant guide (Amistad), ensure our safety by directing us at every main road junction. The bike we use is in good condition. They provide an attached rear child bike for my 7 year old boy. They provide helmet to all of us.
Valentino was spectacular! What a wonderful introduction to the city. The food was incredible. The biking was leisurely and gave us the chance to thoughtful see the city. We booked this tour based on the recommendation from a friend, and I am writing this review so others can also learn about this wonderful experience!
Family of 5 which included my 3 boys, 18, 16, 11yo. Everyone loved this experience. Touring the areas on bicycle on a beautiful day, stopping, eating various Mexican delights was a great experience. Thoroughly enjoyed this, as did we all, and would highly recommend to any and all!!
Be prepared to eat right away! We had tamales for breakfast! They were delicious! It was so much fun to ride around the busy city. It was a Sunday so many people were out and our ride began very relaxing and got busier in the last hour. It was a blast!
Amazing way to see the city and learn about the history and culture. Incredible. Can’t recommend enough. The whole experience is great.
What a super fun way to see Mexico City. So much fun. The tour guides were Andrew, Veila, and Augustin were awesome. Learned about the history, the food, the market, the park, the culture and street food. Biking was a very adventurous way to see the city.
This was a great tour! We felt safe on the bikes, our guides (Emma and Astrid) were knowledgeable and fun, plus we ate delicious food!
Fun time had by all! Great tour to get a feel for different neighborhoods and street foods. Safe bikes and the guides were excellent traffic controllers! Thank you Valentino, Claudio and Cami!
Highly recommend the Street Food Tour with Bikes and Munchies. Our amazing guide Andrew was very safety conscious and attentive. He not only introduced us to the most delicious street food but also provided lots of history and background on Mexico City. A highlight of our trip
This was a really fun way to tour the city and experience the street food. Cami was a great guide. She explained about the city as well as the food. We also had a gentleman who I would call a biking guardian. He road along with us making sure we got through intersection safely. It was a very well run tour. I wish we had the time to experience the other tours Bikesandmunchies had to offer.
Absolutely unforgettable bike tour! Thank you, Valentin and Velia! Incredibly fun, informative and delicious experience. What better way to learn and get into place- biking around, trying delicious local cuisine and learning from extremely knowledgeable and nice people. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
What an amazing experience! Velia, Augustine and Miranda were so friendly, accommodating of our large group of 12 and I was especially grateful for their team work in helping control traffic and keeping us safe! It was a highlight of our trip in Mexico City! Thank you so much!
The trip was amazing. So much fun! Our guides Velia and Valentin were so knowledgeable of the history of the city and where to get great street food. They also made the tour very safe, even for a whole family of three young kids! Highly recommend this.
We booked a private family tour of Roma and Condesa for 4. My teenagers had a wonderful time. Our guide, Isaac, knew both about where to find great food and also about the history of the city and the neighborhoods. Amistad did an amazing job keeping us safe. My son is learning Spanish, so they spent a lot of time practicing together. I agree with all of the 5 star reviews - would highly recommend!!
We had an excellent experience on this bike food tour in Mexico City. It was a perfect mix of exploring the city, connecting with new friends, and enjoying delicious, thoughtfully selected food. The tour took us through beautiful neighborhoods, each with its own charm. Our guides, Sebastian and Valentin, were outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate. They not only made the tour fun but also shared fascinating insights about the history of Mexico and Mexico City. This experience was truly one of a kind and left us with great memories!
Andrea and Amistad provided us a wonderful experience. We enjoyed every taste and a beautiful bicycle ride through lovely neighborhoods. We had a great group on our tour — just the right amount of people. Sundays are the perfect day to cycle in CDMX.
Really enjoyed the street food tour with friends! It was very well organized, not too rushed and the food was varied and delicious. We met a lot of nice people from the US and NZ and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend!
