located in the historic center of the city. This museum houses one of Rivera's most famous pieces, the mural "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park." As you admire the mural, your guide will help you decode Rivera's symbolic portrayal of key figures from Mexican history, allowing you to understand his vision of the country’s cultural and political evolution.
a lesser-known but remarkable site in Chapultepec Park. Here, you’ll find an awe-inspiring mural by Diego Rivera that merges themes of water, life, and Mexican culture. Rivera’s mural, set against the backdrop of a monumental water system, is one of his most ambitious and unique works.
A modernist structure where Rivera lived and worked. Designed by renowned architect Juan O’Gorman, this studio offers a glimpse into the private life of the artist, where you can see his tools, unfinished works, and personal artifacts. The simplicity and functionality of the studio highlight Rivera’s focus on art as a tool for social change.
This Theater boasts a striking mosaic mural by Rivera on its façade. The mural showcases Rivera’s interpretation of Mexico’s revolutionary past and the role of the people in shaping its future. It’s an iconic piece that represents Rivera's commitment to making art accessible to the public and reflecting the struggles and triumphs of the Mexican people.
an architectural marvel designed by Rivera himself. This pyramid-shaped museum is home to Rivera's vast collection of pre-Hispanic art and artifacts, which heavily influenced his work. The museum itself is a masterpiece, blending indigenous Mexican designs with modern architecture. It’s a perfect stop for those interested in Rivera’s deep connection to Mexico’s ancient past.
Also known as La Casa Azul (The Blue House), located in the picturesque neighborhood of Coyoacán. This was Kahlo's childhood home, and later, the residence she shared with Rivera. As you explore the museum, you'll step into Frida’s world, seeing her vibrant art, personal belongings, and the intimate spaces where she created some of her most famous works. The museum offers a powerful and emotional look at Frida’s life, her struggles, and her passion for art and Mexican identity.

Great guide. Easy pickup. And he fit in an extra stop at Trotsky museum just for us! Really good day overall, but definitely long - might have been good to start a bit early and schedule a meal break
A comprehensive day about Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, their lives, work individually and together. from start to finish Luis was a fountain of information . He drove us around Mexico City visiting Diego’s murals, Diego and Frida’s studios and houses.
Make sure to have plenty of time so as to not feel rushed. Our tour guides were fabulous. Fun and extremely knowledgeable.
If you really want to learn about Frida and Diego, this is the way to go. If you only go to the blue house/Frida Kahlo Museum and the Frida-Diego house and studio, then you are only getting part of the story. There are remarkable pieces of artwork spread out around the city that are logistically difficult to get to and that I suspect very few tourists see but that are important for understanding the breath of these artists careers. I highly recommend this tour.
Wow! Felipe and Gaby went out of their way to know, and impart to their guests, everything Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo. There wasn’t a question they couldn’t answer. Although not scheduled as part of the tour, when some folks started to ask about food, they found 45 minutes to get us to a market and give us a lunch break! That was very much appreciated. On the way back to our hotel at the end of the tour, Felipe went out of his way to point out a market where we could find hand made souvenirs. We had already walked by this market several times (it was only a few blocks from our hotel) but had not noticed it. That extra touch was really thoughtful. Thank you Felipe!
The trip schedule was well thought out. Included indoor and outdoor activities. I liked the Diego Rivera - Frida Kahlo pairing because to understand the impact of each is to see how they were interrelated. Felipe and Gabby were exciting and knowledgeable.
Luis was a very knowledgeable tour guide, and kept us engaged for the whole day. His communication was excellent from the moment of booking the tour, and he collected us from our Air BnB (and the other 7 people in the tour from their hotels) and we drove around Mexico City, visiting many of Diego’s pieces and ending at Frida Kahlo’s house. It is quite a long day (around 9am - 3:30pm) and there is not really an opportunity to buy drinks or food so I highly recommend taking lots with you- you can safely leave your belongings on the van at all times so don’t need to worry about carrying. There isn’t a lot of walking which worked well for me as I’m 7 months pregnant, and there are toilets at every stop. Luis was a fantastic source of knowledge about lots of elements of Mexico, and we used the time in the van to ask questions about Mexico’s history. I really recommend this tour, it’s good value and you learn a lot!!
Nice tour in that you’ll see different parts of the city where especially Rivers’s works are located. It was a bit light on information from the guides though.
Top experience! Probably the highlight of our whole Mexico City trip. We saw amazing art, learned a lot, discovered new places and Felipe and Gaby made it all stress-free and fun! 100% recommend
Fantastic, very detailed and educational experience. Saw even the least unknown pieces of Diego Rivera’s work and ended wonderfully with Frida’s studio /home.
This event was exhaustive (and exhausting), but clearly the highlight of our México trip. Despite a rocky start (miscommunication as to start time) we enjoyed meeting Felipe, who was a wealth of information and the nicest possible guide. The stops were well selected and climaxed with the Casa Azul. My art teacher daughter was in heaven.
Very good tour to see museums and murals by Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo and their homes in Mexico city
Our guide Luis was simply fabulous. His insights and narratives made for a wonderful tour. He went out of his way all day to ensure our satisfaction - and we were beyond satisfied! Totally flexible to accommodate us.Highly recommend!!
Luis was just fantastic! He brought insight and interesting details to our experience of the sites and the city as we drove thru different areas, enhancing our understanding of MC’s.rich history. He was so warm and thoughtful, even rearranging the date last minute when my friend took ill. Can’t recommend this tour highly enough!
Excellent tour guides. Felipe and Gabriela were amazing. We joined a small group and they were funny, informative, thoughtful, and took us to see many Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera pieces of art/museums. 100/10 would recommend.
Omar is a truly gifted guide. He brought the stories of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera alive for us, and included so many interesting bits of information about them. He was particularly gifted in connecting with each of us, regardless of age. I would give him my highest marks!
I’m a big fan of fridha Kahlo and i wouldn’t have learned as much about her without our guide! It was amazing to see Diego riveras murals around town as well as going to three separate museums.
Excellent. Gabby and her husband were outstanding! Really fun and nice and great tour. Wonderful! Would highly recommend!
Our Guides Gaby & Luis are just awesome 👌 Extremely nice, and knowledgeable, they manage to captivate the entire group, from the beginning! They took us to see all the best of the best of Diego Rivera & Frida Khalo 😃 🇲🇽 😄
Not enough information from the guides. Felt more like just transportation and not like a tour. Covered several places but later found out some of the info given was wrong.
Luis was a wonderful host and took the time to personalize our tour. We enjoyed learning about Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.
Luis was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. It was a tour full of nice surprises.
Luis was a wonderful tour guide who was so polite, personable, knowledgable and engaging. He gave us wonderful tour of the Diego Rivera murals, Frida and Diego studio history, the Anahuacalli museum, Coyoacan and Frida Kahlo's home/museum. Luis brought Mexico City, its culture and history to life for us and told us great stories that made the day quite special. The hotel pick-up and drop-off was super convenient. We highly recommend this rich full day tour with Luis!
Luis our driver n tour guide was fantastic! So knowledgeable, personable, professional! At Diego’s museum: to learn that it was built from volcanic materials n to find out that Diego had been prohibited from going to the Templos due to the many archeological finds that he was taking n brought to his museum.
Luis gave us a wonderful tour of several special places in Coyoacan and on the way there. He was knowledgeable and considerate during the trip. He offered helpful insights into Mexican culture and was generous in his demeanor. Taking this tour added to our appreciation of the art we saw, and of our time in Mexico. If we return, we would certainly want him to guide us again.
This was an awesome tour led by Luis. He had a wealth of information and lots of great historical insights. Other than the Frida and Diego studios, the Anahuacalli museum, and Frida Museum, we had a chance to visit a few other gems which made the day fantastic. Luis made everything easy and convenient with hotel pickup and helped us skip lines. Overall, we had an incredible full day experience!
Experiencing the murals of Diego Rivera! So beautiful and engaging. Luis was an excellent and personal guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. We loved seeing the city of Frida and Diego.
What a great tour! Luis was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and informative. I highly recommend this tour with Luis!
We had a fantastic experience. Our guide Luis was very knowledgeable and showed us some true hidden gems in between the scheduled museum visits. We were especially interested in Diego Rivera and learned a lot about his personality, his style, his history and his art work. Definitely worthwhile and no hesitation to highly recommend this tour, a fantastic day out diving into the lives of Frida and Diego.
Louis was a wonderful guide, from the minute we started our tour he had so much to share about Mexico City's history, culture, and people. He went above and beyond my expectations and I truly enjoyed listening to his stories and visiting the sites. I would highly recommend this tour.
Starting from the beginning it was very easy and pleasant communication with Kim from Interliv Travel Mexico - he understood our needs, was supportive and flexible organising our day and offering wonderful additions. During the tour we met Luis and I absolutely agree with what I have seen in some reviews - he was a great companion (much more than driver or/and guide) taking care of us and our experiences during whole day. I would definitely recommend Interliv Travel Mexico and would use again myself if back to Mexico.
Luis was an excellent guide on many levels. He quickly modified our tour to make it personal when tickets were unavailable for Frida’s house. We had a wonderful, informative tour. He is kind, thoughtful and graciously drove us all over to see things we were interested in that were related architecturally to Juan O’Gorman’s work.
Luis was a fantastic host, warm, friendly, informative. We really enjoyed visiting Frida’s houses and it was great being able to skip the long line!
Very disappointed by the staff, we met with differentiated and filthy preferential treatment. Horrified by the racist remarks I and my group perceived. We did everything within the rules and yet the stigma was widespread.
Guida molto preparata, ci ha fatto apprezzare la visita dei tre musei e ci ha accompagnati anche a vedere alcuni murales di Diego Rivera, arricchendo in tal modo la nostra visita.
