I enjoyed this trip although our time in coyoacan felt very rushed. our guide had to work double explaining in both spanish and english since it was a mixed group and that seemed to take away her ability to share as much. The boat tour felt a bit too touristy and not as enjoyable as i had hoped.

Our guide Julius was awesome. The sights were interesting and Julius did a great job of explaining things to our group. A couple of things that could be improved are having at least two to three designated bathroom breaks as it is a long day, and back seats of van are almost impossible to see out of and enjoy the trip to various destinations. Would be nice to have free time in Coyocan to tour on our own.
Guide had very limited English was very hard to understand her. The boat trip was really bad Hundreds of boats jammed together didn't move for an hour You have to pay for everything you want to consume and looking at the quality I wouldn't even waste my money on the food Loud expat Mexican -American family who got drunk and became very loud and obnoxious further ruined the experience I certainly wouldn't recommend this tour at all.
The driver and the guide were very kind and helpful. But the tour was not organized as announced. It took around 2 hours picking up people in different very far hotels and we were more than the 14 maximum tourists announced. Moreover, the van was very uncomfortable.
This tour was so much fun and informative! Highly recommend this experience. Luis & Luis were amazing guides!
The evening before our tour, we were told that we would picked up at our AirBNB at 7:50 for our 9:00 tour. I asked if a later pick-up time was possible, but the organizer said no due to the locations of picking up other guests. 1.5 hours later - and after a few confusing stops picking up/ dropping off multiple guests - we picked up our final tour attendees ... about three blocks from our AirBNB. We could have walked to meet there at 9:15, rather than riding in the van in circles since 7:50. There were multiple stops along the way that could've been cut, including a stadium parking lot (...?) but they did break up the car ride. Bring a snack; you won't eat until around 2:00. The good part about taking a tour to Xochimilco is that you get to skip the line when you get to the boats. Our guide was knowledgable and very kind but talked a lot during the drive home. Additionally, interpretation was not available for our mostly English-speaking group. Overall, I would recommend choosing this tour with caution. Read the other reviews before booking.
Nice day . Got to see a lot of different things , and very informative . Liked the university a lot . Two things , it would be easier to follow if the guide did Spanish , and then english , vs every line both , it was hard to follow . And would not book every single seat on the van . Since so much riding , that last row w 3 people really isn’t fair .
It was a nice trip. Nicely paced and with breaks in between. Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us. Whole lot of information about other points of interest as well
This trip was pretty decent. Got to see Xochimilco, Coyoacan, the Olympic stadium, and the outside of the Frida Kahlo museum. Xochimilco and Coyoacan were the highlights of the tour. I think we could have spent less time in the silver carving/gift shop and more in Coyoacan. Pickup was not coordinated very well. Usually on these kind of tours, the tour operator will reach out before the tour to confirm pickup location. I didn't hear anything, so I went to the Hilton Reforma at 9am like the ticket said. I had to call the tour company because I wasn't hearing anything from them. Eventually they came but didn't come into the lobby, even though the ticket said meet in the lobby. I think everyone else got hotel pickup but I'm not sure how. I was the only English speaker on the tour, and the tour guide presented the information in both languges.
This tour was not what the description says. We drove for more hours than sight seeing. Instead of 8 hours, it finished in 4 hours. Took them 2 hours to pick up people. We were not given any time to enjoy and see the places properly, it’s was just basically Xochimilco boat ride and 30 mins in Coyoacan downtown. The guide spoke little English. Don’t take this tour, it wasted our time.
This was possibly the WORST day trip we have EVER done. We got picked up at 8.30 and at 10.15 we were still driving around aimlessly and we were only a 6 minute walk from our pick up stop! Eventually we were here herded into a tacky souvenir shop where we spent the best part of an hour from arrival to departure. We were then supposed to go to Coyoacan but it was change to Xochimilko without informing anyone. When we got there we had to wait more than 30 minutes to board our boat. We didn’t get to Coyoacan until 3.30 at which point we abandoned the tour and got a taxi back to Mexico City. Guide had terrible communication skills. They were sharing one guides for two buses due to sickness. We spent seven hours with this company for only one hour in a boat! Do not waste your time or money on this company. Awful experience. Tip: get a taxi to Xochomilko and arrange your own boat trip. You can then taxi/ Uber to Coyoacan and back to Mexico City. You’ll save so much time. We basically sat on a bus for a whole day.
I signed up for a 9am tour as I had a prior obligation at 4pm. The day of the tour they tell me they won't pick me up and to go the the Frida Kahlo museum to be picked up at 11am. They never arrived until 1230, told me only 1 hour at Xochimilco and I won't be back by 4pm and I won't have a ride to my hotel. NO Service and missed Xochimilco. I should get a refund which I will pursue.
Time with family, enjoying the sites, and scenery, commentary by Francisco. Seeing places we had not scene before.
We paid for the Xochimilco and Coyoacan tour and we were taken to other stops which were not in our agenda. Upon pick up we were in a van with other groups for different destinations. Stopped at Cultural de la UNAM for about 45 mins for a history lesson (not in our agenda) and then split up for our tour. We were then taken to some little city to a shopping store (again not in agenda) and spent over 1 hr there. After that we drove over 1.5 hrs to Coyocan (turibus gets you there faster) with stops to the college, library and collesium. Arrived at Coyocan spending close to 30 mins circling around for parking. We were given a brief tour of some sites and then only given 30 mins free time!!?? Then it was back to van to go to Xochimilco. Another 1 hr long drive to get to Xochimilco. Arrived around 2:30 pm for the boat experience and lunch. Lunch at 2:30? The Xochimilco experience and food was good. Very disappointed that again we had 0 time for shopping! It was off the boat, toilet break and back on van to head back to our hotel. It seemed the driver did not want to give us any free time as to not to wait around for us to enjoy these 2 destinations. I've done this tour before via other booking agent and we were given over 1 hr of free time to each of these destinations.
This is a recommendation must do if you are in CDMX. It is one hour away from the city center, we wen by DiDi (just like Uber but cheaper) it cost like $8 (USD). Try to go to the main entrance do not pay more than 500 pesos for the whole boat, there is an individual boat that you can get and pay 30 pesos per ride. But try to be friendly with the other tourist and negotiate if they want to share one boat. We ended split of the 500 pesos boat with a Colombian and Spaniar tourist. A lot of music and then there’s while you ride this boat. Nice environment.
If you’re not into shopping, look for a trip to Xochmilco only! We spent a lot of time going to souvenir shops & on a traffic heavy day this took away time at the stops actually worth visiting. Much of my group were also not interested in the shopping & were standing around outside the buildings for at least fifteen minutes on two occasions waiting for the guide. Xochimilco however was absolutely worth it. We were on the boat for around an hour - lunch is ordered (200peso) & drinks available (between 20-30 peso) - they don’t tell you these charges until the end. Tour included a stop at Freda Kahlo’s house but literally getting out the bus, taking a photo outside, and getting back in the bus. This felt like a shame as an interesting story of Freda’s life was told for the 30 minutes it took to reach the Blue House. Biggest positive was the price- probably tricky to get out to Xochimilco on your own accord so for the price maybe you can suck up the 7 hours of blah for the one hour on the canals.
You spend most ot the time sitting in traffic and the first thing they do is drag you to some tourist garbage shop.
The experience involves a lot more shopping time than advertised. We also got back a good bit later than advertised: the tour lasted for 8 hours, from 930-530. Nevertheless, the hour or so in Xochimilco was an interesting, lively experience, and I'm not sure if a solo or couple traveling alone would be able to recreate that without the larger group tour. Our tour operator was very friendly and informative.
An amazing experience plenty of colors. The music and the food were very good! The explanation were very complete.
We really enjoyed this tour. Luis, our guide was really helpful with a lot of knowledge on the history and culture and always attentive to all our needs, we definitely recommend it and Xochimilco in my kids words, it was a a very flower full fun ride!
A lot of shopping time, that’s a pretty big setback on the experience, but our tour guide was so nice and many fun facts about the trip.
The guide- jose was very knowledgable in geography and history.spoke very good english the car was very good and pickup from the hotel was on time
Miguel was great and the tour was interesting and fun for the whole family. Be aware that if you go on Sunday there will be delays because of Reforma being shutdown in the morning.
Such an amazing experience. Angela and Paloma were very informative. I would recommend touring with them.
Pickup on time at meeting site. All well explained about the itinerary of the day, visiting the planned places, Guide Melisa and driver Ernesto excellent. It would add more time in the planning to being in the bins, it was a bit quick, but very good everything
The entire tour was very punctual, from the pick-up at the door of the accommodation, they were very attentive to the group and giving all the information
100% recomendado.
A very well explained tour by Omar that was the most! We went to several places and all very nice! The trajinera was very chevere and we had a lot of fun! Full recommended
Estuvo muy divertido pero aconsejamos que se tengan en cuenta las medidas anti COVID (las camionetas son pequeñas y con mucha gente, ventanas cerradas…). Tuvimos que pedir que abrieran las ventanas.
It is an incredible walk the tour of the island of dolls, as they take you through the tourist area as well as the ecological zone touring beautiful landscapes and enjoying live music such as mariachi, the operators of the slot machines give you a very satisfying explanation, it is a tour that would certainly do again.
Destacaría la profesionalidad del guia, te despreocupas del transporte y te recogen en el hotel. Como punto negativo, es el excesivo tiempo dedicado a compras no incluidas, que quita tiempo para el resto de la visita
