My family enjoyed this churro making class during our visit to Mexico City. It was a cosy experience and we all got to participate. Our host/instructor was very welcoming. The coffee and churros were delicious.

This churro making class was an awesome experience for my entire family. My kids are 12 + 9yo. They were engaged throughout the class and had fun. Andrea was a great host and shared two recipes with us: churros and cafe de olla, a traditional preparation of Mexican coffee. Everything was delightful.
We went to this class with our 2 kids, 13 & 15. It was a mixed group with an awesome extended family from Chicago. Andrea was a wonderful host. The location of the apartment is awesome (great vintage shopping afterwards & cafes etc), it was such a great experience to feel part of someone’s home whilst learning how to make churros. Andrea is exceptionally knowledgeable about hosting and cooking and made the experience amazing- thank you Andrea. We highly recommend this class :)
The experience was fantastic. From start to finish we were shown how to prepare the churros and then how to cook them properly. It was a very casual environment and we talked about lots of things besides churros. It was a great way to start our day. And the churros were delicious!
Fantastic host and experience! My whole family really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend! We are excited to make churros at home now after learning.
So much fun and obviously very delicious. One of our favorite experiences in Mexico City! The class is hands-on and easy to follow, and you get to eat your churros at the end.
Such a great experience. Andrea and her assistant Bicho were fantastic. A low key relaxing experience that was just like cooking with your (new) friends at home.
It was an incredible experience, very organized and simple. Come ready to savor delicious, freshly made churros. This place is a must-visit, whether you’re traveling with friends, a partner, or alone.
If you love churros and want to learn how to make this delicous pastry, book this now on your next CDMX trip!
I was really expecting more for the cost of $68 per person. You don’t get your own cooking setup, everything is shared among the group, so it doesn’t feel like your own experience. The host was very kind and welcoming, so this is nothing against her, but the cost felt excessive for what you actually get. I’ve done other cooking classes in different countries, and those experiences have far exceeded this one. Overall, I’m a bit disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it, you’d be better off spending your $300+ for five people on a nice meal out (with churros included!).
This was an intimate cooking class with a warm, welcoming setting. Andrea felt like an old friend from the start! She was quite knowledgeable about culinary concepts and was a fantastic host. Her cat, Bicho, was an excellent guest experience manager. We felt comfortable and at ease throughout the experience. The churros were delicious and the coffee was divine. We were even given a small to go bag to carry our leftovers with us. I strongly recommend spending time with Andrea and Bicho!
My husband and made this experience one of our first stops on our trip and we know our afternoon with Andrea will be hard to beat. She was so kind and personable. It didnt take long before she made us feel right at home chatting away in her peaceful apartment. The ingredients for the churros were prepared in advance and she carefully walked us through every step of the process. Ultimately we ended the day with the knowledge of making this delicious treat and a new friend.
My only suggestion would be of the host would give recipe cards to the guests to take home wit it them.
I had the best time and experience with the churro making class!!! I went with my husband and mother in law and we all agreed that this was the best thing that we did while visiting the city!! It was nice to have a slower paced activity where we learned how to make delicious churros, and enjoy the company of our amazing host and the others that were in the same session as us. If you are looking for an activity where you want to enjoy cooking, the company of others, and an overall amazing time I would highly recommend!!!!
Really fun hang out and amazing class. Bicho was also an amazing gatito and made the experience even better.
We had a great time making churros (which turned out delicious) with fun new people, a great host, and a beautiful, friendly cat. We would definitely recommend this experience to others!
Andrea was a wonderful, knowledgeable host! We learnt the to make the best churros in a very easy, uncomplicated way. The whole class was fun!
Fun little family activity with a welcoming, kind host. Easy, clear instructions and nice neighborhood for exploring before/after activity
We booked this towards the end of our 9 days in CDMX and it was one of the main highlights of the trip for my 11 year old daughter especially! Andrea created a cozy, welcoming environment in her home for our small group of 3 parties (a couple, 2 families of 3). We each had space on the table to mix our churro ingredients and her instructions were clear and she also gave background history, fun facts, and pro tips as we went along. She made sure everyone had a turn doing each role in the cooking process. The churros and cafe de olla were delicious! Andrea and her colleagues are wonderful hosts and we had so much fun! Highly recommend.
What a wonderful experience with Andrea, who welcomed us into her beautiful home and taught us how to make churros and coffee! I think this experience spoiled us forever and we can only have home made churros from now on. We cannot wait to try to make them on our own at home. We had a really nice conversation as we were making them, and then all sat down to enjoy coffee and churros together. We cannot wait to come back and book more experiences with Andrea. Thank you so much for a great afternoon!
This was an absolutely fantastic class. recommend this to anyone who wants a good food sensory experience!! The host was so sweet as well
Fun experience with a great host. Got a chance to learn a little bit more about the history of churros and how easy it is to make at home. Enjoyed making churros and having cafe de olla for the first time.
Super fun experience! delicious, informative and nice way to spend your day! You get to make churros from scratch, and try cafe de olla which is very delicious type of coffee! It's an intimate experience, with great company! Highly recommend if you are in Mexico City!
Andrea is a very friendly person. We talked about much more than just churros. She gave us additional suggestions on what else to do in Mexico City.
The Churro Class was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and an absolute must-do in Mexico City! Our instructor was not only kind and helpful but also brought so much fun and energy to the class. It’s an excellent way to dive into the local culture and learn all about the art of making Churros. We highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting the city—it’s a delightful and delicious addition to your trip!
What an experience! My mother and I did this and felt like we were family, making churros in a cousin's house. We felt confident in our baking abilities, but more importantly we discussed real life in Mexico City, enjoyed laughs, and had an amazing time. Couldn't recommend more
Great experience, Andrea was welcoming, fun and knowledgeable. The churros were delicious as well. Highly recommend, fun experience for kids as well
The teacher was nice and we did learn how to make churros but I’m surprised by the age parameters in the description. I would not call this a family friendly activity but better for couples. I paid the adult price for each member of my family which included a 7, 10 and 12 year old. We were given the same space and supplies as the two other couples in the class. I had to referee how to fairly divide the work among my kids which was stressful since we were in tight quarters. My husband basically sat on the couch the whole time. I was aware there would be hot oil and cautioned my kids about it in advance but the instructor voiced concerned about the stability of the table every time one my of kids touched it. An unexpected hazard that seems easy to remedy with a sturdier table. We feel like we overpaid for this experience. I think it would have been better if we got two stations and/or a child price was offered. FYI, there is a friendly cat in the apartment that the teacher put away upon request because of allergies in my family
My fiance and I attended Andrea’s churro making class and we had an absolute blast! She was so warm and hospitable. The class was fun and hands on and she taught us all the tips to making the perfect churro. We got to enjoy the churros with coffee after we finished cooking and even made some friends with the others in the class. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Mexico City.
My partner and I had a great time making churros from scratch in the hosts home. It felt like going to a friends house. We were provided all the ingredients and instructions and got started making churros right away. It was fun, easy and the host was a kind and patient teacher. These were honestly the best churros I’ve had. Served with freshly made chocolate for dipping and sweetened coffee. Highly recommend!
Amazing host, very friendly, very instructive. Great cooking experience. Start from scratch, worked thru all the steps and final cooking in oil and sugar and cinnamon. Easy to access location and very timely
We had a great time with Andrea! The apt is a wonderful location. I was looking for a cooking class with our kids, but many were for all day. This was the perfect amount of time to enjoy learning something new and still being able to enjoy the city after. We felt very welcomed by Andrea and her mom. Would highly recommend!
A fantastic way to spend a few hours, Andrea is the perfect host and the venue is ideal for a relaxed and fun experience. Everything is explained in simple terms and it was great to sit down afterwards and socialise with the other guests over coffee and churros. Definitely recommend Andrea and this tasty experience.
This was the highlight of my trip. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed and immediately felt comfortable. I learned so much during the demonstration and it was so nice to be able to be immersed fully in the Mexican culture. If you are on the fence, please do this! Trust me, you will not regret it!
Fun, quick way to learn how to make churros from scratch. Easy to replicate at home. Cozy space with a warm, knowledgeable teacher!
Andrea was a great host! The class was held in her home with her cat, it was very cozy and relaxing. She was with us every step of the way while giving ua the independence to figure out our own little techniques.
I had an amazing time in Andrea's churro class! She was incredibly patient and professional, having thoughtfully planned every detail. Not only did I learn how to make churros, but I also got to explore their history. Such a fun and engaging activity for all ages and backgrounds!
My husband and I had a really lovely time with Andrea in her mother's home. First, it is in such an easy neighborhood to get to, close to a lot of things to see and do before and after your class. Andrea said she wanted to make the experience seem like you were in a friend's house, and that's exactly what it felt like. Andrea was also so prepared for everything - she had lactose free milk, and when one person had an allergy that I think wasn't mentioned she quickly pivoted. She made sure to keep a good energy with the group and made making churros seem so easy to do. They ended up being delicious and a great way to spend the afternoon. We would definitely recommend this fun experience to anyone visiting CDMX!
We did this as a work team building event and it was a huge success. Andrea was a great instructor, very knowledgeable, patient and pleasant. She really made this experience fun! We all learned a lot too, the churros turned out amazing and the coffee served was delicious. Would highly recommend!!!
This was such a fun and relaxing experience. Andrea was friendly and knowledgeable which made the experience all that much better. Would highly recommend and the area was nice to explore.
Andrea welcomed us to her home and taught us how to make churros and Mexican coffee! It was really fun. She was super fun and friendly, and also gave us lots of restaurant recommendations along the way! We definitely recommend!
Andrea was incredible! Her class was not only fun but really knowledgable. The churros was so good and simple to make. She took us step by step and explained the entire process. I highly recommend if in Mexico City!!
We had an amazing time making churros with Andrea. She was so personable and patient with us and her apartment was so welcoming and warm. It was a really fun, intimate experience and we learned so much about Mexico City, making churros, and more. Not to mention the churros were DELICIOUS. I highly recommend!!
Andrea is a wonderful host and teacher, she provides excellent and clear instructions and offered wonderful suggestions for other things to do/places to see in CDMX. The churros were delicious, my family had a great timer!
We had a great time making churros with 4 adults and 3 kids. Andrea explained all the steps and history of churros and the kids loved mixing the dough, frying the dough, flipping and sugaring. They have a beautiful cat who watches and is very friendly. We are the amazing churros with a Mexican coffee and a rich dark chocolate dip. Very fun experience with just our group!
The churros were great! Very helpful and such a fun experience. The class is very entertaining and the process is very creative! The ingredients were very fresh! Very comfy and enjoyable. Fun time with family or friends! Highly Recommend!
Insanely kind host, we made churros and some herbal tea or coffee. Cute and pleasant house which is super welcoming. The address is a Little hard to find but it should be fixed as of now
Super fun. Great hosts. Churros were delicious. Had a great time getting to know other people during the class. Highly recommend. Just south of Rio de Janeiro park
Great experience. Definitely would recommend. Andrea was kind and helpful and I learned a lot about how to make the churros and got some pro tips on how to make them even better in the future.
I had a great time cooking churros with Andrea. I’m excited to use her recipe to cook them for my family. We made a chocolate ganache that was delicious to dip the hot churros in. Highly recommend. I did it solo but it would be a great group experience as well.
