Fantastic Food Tour with Nico! We had an absolutely amazing Roma Norte food tour with Nico! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful, and gave us just the right amount of information to keep our group of four engaged without overwhelming us. What made the experience especially memorable was Nico’s personal touch. We were celebrating both a birthday and a 40th anniversary, and at our final stop, Nico surprised us by arranging a special dessert to help us celebrate. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful way to end the tour. The food, drinks, and entire experience were fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this tour, and if you can, ask for Nico!
The trip at a rock start since we were waiting for people that were lost overall, I liked the tour a lot, but my stomach was upset at the end of the night.
Camila was a great tour guide and so informative and friendly. All of the stops were wonderful and the birria taco wowed us all :)
Good mix of food, drink and a nice group of people on the tour too. Was a nice way to get our bearings as we did this on day one.
Such a great way to kick off our CDMX trip! Loved exploring this cute neighborhood, learning about the history/culture, and trying amazing food/drinks. Camila was so kind & knowledgeable. She took excellent care of us & we highly recommend a tour with her! Come hungry - it’s sooooo much food! This tour is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions/preferences (the vegetarian options were so delicious!). Our group (4 couples) had an amazing time!
Natalia and Nico were excellent guides and the stops were all very interesting and tasty. I would go again.
Excellent experience. Nico and Natalia were excellent guides!
We absolutely loved our tour and our guides, Nico and Natalia, were very knowledgeable and friendly! This tour helped us learn about the Roma Norte neighborhood and food options - highly recommend the experience
Nico and Natalia were fantastic!! Highly recommend this tour it was a lot of fun.
We did the Roma Norte food tour with our guide Elba. Elba was fantastic! We had an incredible introduction to Roma Norte including its history and architecture, while trying some fantastic food and drink. The tour takes in a variety of different foods from different parts of Mexico and Elba was able to explain the history and tradition behind the foods. A fantastic way to spend half a day - highly recommended!
Such a wonderful experience in which I didn’t only get to sample many unique and delicious Mexican dishes but also learned a lot about the history and architecture around Roma. I love all the flavorful ingredients and sauces, as well as the stories behind them. My guide was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. And the group that I had was super fun as well! The tour is well worth it and I’m glad that I signed up for it.
Marianna was a fantastic Guide. She was so warm and welcoming, smart and knowledgeable, she really knew all the restaurants and foods we were eating at and explained with detail and passion. The tour was a delight, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Elba our guide was wonderful, I’d give her 100 stars. She was very courteous and kept everyone organized and on track. You can tell she loves Mexico City and really wants to share it’s history and culture with you. This tour is not for everyone: This tour contained a lot of “experimental” food. If you’d prefer Mexican street food, skip it Elba is a bit soft spoken and Mexico City is bustling with life. So if you’re hard of hearing, not the tour for you. This food tour seems like a better fit for people who have already familiarized themselves with the traditional fare of Mexico City, and are seeking something different. If you’re a first timer and you want to enjoy classic food, find the best local tacos/street food, etc skip this tour. Also all of the included cocktails contain mezcal, so if you don’t like mezcal, ask them to substitute it. Elba reassured us it would be good, but I don’t like mezcal and I didn’t enjoy these samples either. Stops 1 and 2 were actually quite good, a couple tostadas featuring pork, shrimp, and ceviche. No issues here, very tasty. Stop 3 was tamales, I’ve never been a big fan of tamales. They can be kind of dry and are just generally less flavorful than other Mexican fare. but I was willing to give them a shot to see if Mexico City would be different. It was not. Stop 4 was vegan food. I think vegan food has potential to be good, but this unfortunately wasn’t. The food lacked balance, and felt gimmicky. The veggie taco was overly acidic and the hibiscus flouta ate sweet and was just bizarre. Stop 5 was a modern Oaxacan style place. There was a pickled vegetable taco and some pipian mole. It was just okay, nothing I’ll ever think about again. Stop 6 was a cafe where the owner prepared coffee, hot chocolate, and a mezcal cocktail. The coffee was decent, although the weather was warm so an iced version would have been nice. The hot chocolate was not great, the owner tried to emulsify it by hand the traditional way however this left a thin film of oils over the top of the beverage which coated the tongue and ate waxy. The chocolate itself wasn’t done any favors by just mixing with water either. It definitely didn’t taste like premium chocolate. I’d still recommend this tour as long as you’re going in with eyes wide open. Elba was a great resource for all things Mexico City and happily shared very interesting history on the city as well as her personal food recommendations. One of the taco places she recommended we tried for dinner and it was 10x better than anything on the tour.
Camila was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and a good spread of different regional cuisines. Definitely worth the cost.
We had a great experience with Mariana. We are staying in Roma Norte so it was a great way to learn the history of the neighborhood and try some local restaurant favorites. It was a good amount of walking and plenty of food. It was about 4.5 hours long so definitely bring comfy shoes and a hat for the sun.
We had a wonderful experience with Elba on the Private Colonia Roma Food Tour. The selection of stops was excellent, offering a great variety of flavors and local specialties. Everything we tried was delicious and of very high quality. Elba was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and shared many interesting insights about the food, culture, and neighborhood. Thank you for such a memorable experience! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City.
Booked this tour as one of the first things I did after getting into the city. Meeting up was simple at the first stop of the tour and we had a small group. Natalia was such a bright host and was truly friendly and knowledgeable. Each stop had a great tasting and story about their food and in between stops we walked through much of Roma Norte, and Natalia shared history and stories and local recommendations! The last stop at Grieta was a highlight for craft coffee lovers!
From the first bite, I knew this tour was off to a good start. Camilla guided us through Roma Norte stopping at 6 locations while sharing history and architecture. Everything tasting was delicious, creative and thoughtful. Well worth the value!
Natalia was a fantastic tour guide! We had a great group and hit spots a little off the beaten path which was great in a city with so many incredible food options. They were really fantastic about accommodating all allergies and dietary preferences on the tour as well. Thank you Natalia!
Elba was very nice and informative. You got a lot of very tasty food. It was a fun time. It was a lot of walking, but there were plenty of rest stops where you get some info on the city and its history.
Natalia was a great host! We had some scrumptious food that represented a great variety of Mexican cuisine. The group size was not too big or too small. Natalia was super knowledgeable and kind and made sure everyone had a wonderful experience! The pace was perfect - not too rushed or too slow. We did take a good 4-4 1/2 hours.
Had a great afternoon exploring this gorgeous corner of Mexico City. We visited six great locations, most of which were small businesses we never would have found on our own. We had the opportunity to try lots of interesting food and drinks that were a little different and unexpected and to learn a little history of this beautiful city. Mariana is an excellent leader who took great care of us. She is professional, informative and friendly and made sure it was a fun experience for all. Muchas gracias!

Amazing well crafted culinary experience. Have been on many food adventures and this ranks highly! Camila and Augustine were exceptional hosts. Both are charismatic and informative. People you want to spend time with! Four hours was gone in a flash. A beautiful progression of the best Mexican cuisine. From tapas to tequila!
We had a great time walking the city, eating great food and drinking specialty drinks made just for us. Mariana was a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable of Mexico City and other areas. She shared many more great pieces of information, stories. She remenmbered this was my birthday trip and had the owner at Grieta provide a sweet treat in celebration to end our tour. We were sad that it was over. She made us feel like we were spending the day with famila! She is superb at what she does.
Mariana was lovely. Great insight into Colonial Roma, personal traditional about places in the neighborhood and all around great balanced food/drink choices. It was a great tour!
Augustin and Marse were excellent guides on our food tour. We really enjoyed the high quality dishes at all the stops. Highly recommended!
Even in a super hot summer day, a great experience - especially when there’s found us cool places to enjoy the tastes!
Camila and Agustin were THE BEST! This tour may very well have been the most enjoyable part of our trip this whole week. They were so nice and knowledgeable about the food and area. We tried a wide range of delicious food and drinks we probably would never have tried without the tour, and if we did we wouldn’t have known what was in most of them. Camila in particular was infectiously passionate about the neighborhood - what a wonderful way to experience Roma Norte! August and Camila made us both feel right at home!
Awesome experience, went with a group of people I didn't know but very quickly I was socializing with them, very friendly and our host's name was Natalia, a wonderful girl that was super nice and direct in her delivery of info on not only the food but also some really cool buildings around the area, all in all it was great and I'd say you get some nice memories and experiences for your buck, I recommend this tour big time.
This was an amazing tour, both with respect to the food stops, as well as the architectural information passed along. All of the food was amazing, and the tour guide, Camila was exceptional. Highly recommended on your trip to Condesa.
We had a great experience sampling different types of food, drinks and places. The quality of the foods and drinks was wonderful. Our guide was excellent and very informative

Her passion for the history and culture really brought everything to life, she made sure everyone felt included and well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and highly recommend touring with Camilla!
Natalia was a delight and every stop on the tour was delish! And she connected the food to the history and culture of Mexico 🇲🇽 which made it even better. This tour was an 11 😉
A nice way to get acquainted with the Roma Norte neighborhood and experience some authentic and tasty food . Carmela provided a fun experience-she communicated well in English and understood all our questions.
We had an outstanding experience with Tania on the Sabores food tour in the Roma neighborhood of Mexico City. From the moment she greeted us at our first stop, she made us feel welcome and comfortable. Although the tour was scheduled as a group tour, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that we were the only guests that day. We truly lucked out! Tania turned it into a personalized four-hour experience, sharing fascinating stories about Mexico City’s history, the local neighborhoods, the restaurants we visited, and the significance of each dish. Her knowledge and passion for Mexican food and culture made the tour so much more meaningful. What really set Tania apart was how far she went to make sure we had an exceptional experience. She continually checked that we were enjoying ourselves, made thoughtful food recommendations, and answered all of our questions. After the tour officially ended, she stayed with us for nearly another hour to help us purchase tequila at a nearby liquor store, even translating for us to ensure we found exactly what we were looking for. Tania genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in every aspect of the tour. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and generosity made this one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico City. We would highly recommend requesting Tania if you have the chance—you won’t be disappointed!
I am very happy with the tour I took today. I was looking for a wider view of Mexican cuisine. I got a deeper understanding of the differences. My guide was friendly and knew more than just about food and explained architectural and historical details about Roma Norte! I fully recommend this tour!
Camila was amazing! Great places and definitely was full at the end
Signed up for a food tour. Our guide, Mariana, is excellent !! She's knowledgeable with the food and the area and she gave us so much information. The food were yummy especially at LA89. The tour ended well with 3 very nice drinks. Definitely should sign up for this!!
Mariana was great, fun, entertaining and the food was amazing. Thank you!
We had the tour in June, 2026. Our guide Natalia was wonderful. She shared a lot of information on food and the history of the neighborhood. She was very sweet and took very good care of us. The food and drinks from the restaurants were very delicious. I highly recommend this food tour and having Natalia as your guide.
Natalia was a lovely host, learned a lot and provided a lot of insight things around the neighborhood.
Excellent food tour, with some unique items. Our guide Mariana was fabulous! Highly recommended…book it!

The variety and quality of food was excellent. Our guide Camila wove history and architecture into the experience and welcomed all questions. Overall- a wonderful tour.
Camila was our guide and she couldn’t have been more accommodating and informative. The choices of restaurants, food and drinks were excellent.
Fun to explore the local area of Mexico City Roma district. Guide was personable and enthusiastic…a great combination. Preferred some stops over others. Would ask for slightly more elevated options next time.
We spent a fun afternoon being guided through the spectacular culinary offerings of Roma Norte by our delightful guide Natalia. The tastings were all delicious but Natalia’s enthusiasm and knowledge elevate the experience. We give it our highest recommendation.
