Ernesto was one of the best tour guides we've had, and we've been on a lot. He was professional, courteous, friendly and organized. The driver Arturo expertly navigated the narrow streets as well as the highway. The first two stops were just to visit churches, one in each. The last stop in Puebla was lovely. We had lunch first then got about 2 hours of free time. It was such a nice little town, I would have preferred to just go straight there and spend more time walking around this little charming town.

This unique Church combines two religious interpretations that coexist (the indigenous and the Christian) and it its considered the most representative church of the indigenous baroque art. This Church is one of the most important and visited temples in Puebla State, and the only that combines the indigenous and Christian religion. It was declared historic monument on 1933.
Visit the Cathedral and the historic center of Puebla. You will have a walking tour through the beautiful historic center of Puebla, known as the "City of Angels" where you can see the buildings from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. The walking tour will include the Zócalo, Cathedral, Rosario church, and many other emblematic sites of the city.

Excellent experience and exploring Mexico‘s history and other nearby cities. I will definitely return again.
This tour is amazing! We especially loved Puebla. Our tour guide and bus driver were great. If you want love old architecture this tour is for you.
Great Experience! Ernesto is absolutely amazing and caring. He’s personable and knowledgeable. Arturo wax our driver and he did a great job! We had the best day tour with an outstanding crew!
Ernesto was an amazing tour guide , we really enjoy all the sites that we visited , I would greatly recommend this tour to family and friends. Thank you!
This Tour is not just managed poorly with a terrible guide, huge crowd and over sold. It started by wasting more than 30 minutes to headcount and decide who is going to stay on the bus and who is not then the whole trip is delayed delay delay, although it said return around 7:30 based on traffic it did not come back until 10:30 PM at night not much value most times spent on waiting people
This is my third tour with Amigo Tour. All tours guide were excellent but Mariana was superb. Her professionalism, passion, knowledge, service, how she treated every person of the bus was beyond my expectations; as well as, the professionalism of Alvaro the driver. Both made a great team. I took-the tour on November 2 (Day of Death) so all the cities were crowded and festive. Visit Cholula but we were only able to see the church and Pyramid. I personally would like have more time to see the city. Unfortunately we weren’t able to go to Tonantzintla because city was closed due to a procession. So we spent four consecutive hours visiting Puebla savoring their food, desserts and culture
I definitely do NOT recommend this company! They sold more tickets than they should have, and we wasted a lot of time trying to sort out the problem before we could finally leave. Another very frustrating issue is the size of the groups. There were around 50 people in my group, which made everything difficult to coordinate and the experience far from enjoyable. To make matters worse, I had specifically booked the Puebla-only tour. However, just one day before the trip, they sent me a message saying I had received an “upgrade” to a more comprehensive tour, including Puebla, Cholula, and Tonantzintla. One of the main reasons I chose this particular tour was to have enough time to explore Puebla at my own pace throughout the day. I had no interest in visiting the other places, and this completely changed the experience I had originally booked and paid for. And as if all that wasn’t enough, the bus got a flat tire on the way back, and we had to pay for an Uber out of our own pockets just to get back to the city! Overall, a terrible experience from beginning to end. Poor organization, overcrowded groups, last-minute changes without considering what customers actually booked, and no proper support when things went wrong. Save your money and choose another company. I absolutely do not recommend them!
It was a good experience, but could have been so much better guide was somewhat knowledgeable but could have explained things more in-depth. Also there was lots of churches on the tour, they are beautiful and a sight to behold. We opted for the optional which was very average.
Our guide Alexa was amazing and the tour was fun and interesting Thank you
Pick up driver was 20 minutes late and then tour company would not assure us they would wait. Thankfully we just made it. Our guide was fine. Very knowledgeable and did keep us moving. The annoying part was he really pressured us to give him a 5 star review. It was a bit much. We did not buy lunch with the tour but received a lot of pressure to still eat with the group. No other lunch suggestions provided but thankfully we ate at Clementina’s which was awesome! Get the Quattro Mole. Ironically, we were told it was inefficient for us to eat elsewhere but we finished first. Cholula and Pueblo were nice. Not spectacular but nice. Churches were beautiful and Puebla had lovely Dia de Los muertos decorations but if you took those away there was not much there. Tonantzintla was an unnecessary stop - could have simply shortened the tour.
Such an amazing experience!! Puebla one of the places I really wanted to visit and I’m glad I booked with Amigo Tours. This is my third tour with them so I 100% recommend them. It was a full-day tour which makes sense with everything we did. We started off in Cholula and made our way to Santa Maria Tomatlan and then to Puebla! I booked w/o lunch so I can try their staple dish mole! I grew up eating mole and it’s one of my favorites. Being able to try mole in its place of origin was an absolute pleasure! Allan was an awesome tour guide. He was very informative throughout the entire tour. Definitely worth the money!
Ernesto was very informative, kind, organised and professional. Juan did a good job of getting us there safely. Would recommend this tour. Food was also good. Thank you!!
This was a great tour. Ernesto was a great guide very knowledgeable and friendly. This great had many beautiful views all day
Ernesto was a great guide, very knowledge and frendly, and made the trip very fun and enternaining, also gave us great recommendations. We learned a lot, and had a great time, visiting Puebla.
This tour was very good, Ernesto was very knowledgeable and having the radio on our tour was super helpful to be able to hear him even when we were further away. Highly recommend this tour and Ernesto as a tour guide!
Ernesto is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. It was a great tour. I strongly recommend it. Be ready to walk.
Excellent solo tour, unexpected delays reuturning to CDMX which was not on the guide company (driver was amazing and has a LOT of patience). One recommendation is to look up the actual location and do not use copy for the address, I was close but nearly missed the departure.
Such an amazing trip! I learned so much about Mexican history, which made the experience even more enriching. Thank you to our tour guide, Ernesto—he’s incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
It was an excellent day trip. Our guide Ernesto was very knowledgeable, informative and kind. We all had a nice day. Our driver Juan was reliable and good. Thank you!!!
A great tour exploring Puebla and some surrounding areas! We had Ernesto as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about all the areas and we learned a lot about the history of all the major stops and a few notible places in between. Very nice and more than willing to make reccomendations for our free time or any other general topics we were curious about. So much interesting history in each of the places we stopped. Would highly recommend this tour!
Miriam and Alexa were wonderful guides. They were knowledgeable and provided some great insight into the culture and history. Puebla is beautiful to visit and I would highly recommend this tour.
Really great, must do. Alexa and Miri were super knowledgeable and helpful throughout the trip. Highly recommended
Perfect for passionate of history and churches
The tour guide Miriam was a bit repetitive throughout the tour on everything she said. It was an okay experience. Where the office is located in a hostel it’s uncomfortable to wait inside since there is a constant sewer smell.
The city of Puebla and sites such as Cholula were amazing. Beautiful view of volcanos. Long trip
Do the lunch on your own there are several places and more variety to choose from. Not worth paying extra.
Alexa was very informative in every stop we made. Very knowledgeable. Israel is an excellent driver. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City.
Alexa is an excellent tour guide. Her information is absolutely vital to the tour experience. She is very knowledgeable. Israel the driver is absolutely amazing very cautious. Got us from point A to point B, C and D without any issues. I would recommend this tour to everyone I know if you make your Mexico City.
We are visiting from Dallas and went to Puebla and Cholula day trip with Amigo Tours. Had an excellent experience. Our guide Ernesto was great! He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was friendly and helpful. It is a very professional company. Highly recommend it.
I had an amazing experience on this tour! Ernesto was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Cholula and Puebla, and he did a fantastic job engaging the entire group and answering everyone’s questions. He also took some great pictures of me throughout the trip, which was a thoughtful bonus. The restaurant, Fonda Típica La Poblana, offered an excellent selection of delicious food. Overall, this tour was an excellent experience and great value for the money. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour ti Pueblo! Ernesto went out of the way to make the tour group learn about Puebla, Cholula and Tonantzintla. Was a great way to get outside of Mexico City on a wonderful day trip! Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful day largely because of our guide, Ernesto. He was very knowledgeable about Mexico - as well as pertinent world affairs so he was able to put information in context. I learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience. (Note: I am a senior citizen with some special needs re: mobility. Ernesto was very helpful without taking away from the attention he paid the other participants.)
Smooth and easy checking in,even though I didn’t get pick up to my hotel but I made it on time.the front desk receptionist who check me in and Ernesto and Mariana Daniel the driver was very informative and making us safe. i was feeling safe knowing the long road trip and the long day.i did not have enough time to explore different restaurant and to buy sweets.and buy souvenirs.but it was nice experience and beautiful city Puebla and cholula.how I wish we have a little extra time to explore to buy food sweets and yes to buy souvenir.but grateful I got to see big city of Puebla and nice cholula.thanks Ernesto and Mariana and Daniel for the hardwork and making sure we all make enough for our time.
Our trip to Mexico was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by the incredible people who guided us along the way. The city was beautiful, full of culture, history, and amazing sights, but what truly made the experience exceptional was our wonderful tour guides, Ernesto and Marianna. They were both incredibly knowledgeable, professional, kind, and attentive. They shared fascinating stories, helped us discover the city from a local perspective, and made sure every part of the tour was enjoyable and memorable. Their passion for Mexico and genuine care for their guests truly stood out. A huge thank you to Ernesto and Marianna for making our visit such a wonderful and high-quality experience. We are so grateful for their hospitality, enthusiasm, and professionalism. They went above and beyond, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone visiting Mexico. Thank you, Ernesto and Marianna, for the beautiful memories! 🇲🇽❤️
Mariana and Ernie were amazing tour guides. They took their time explaining every aspect of the trip, were patient with the big group we had and made lots of funny jokes to keep us entertained along the way. My feedback would be to consider providing alternative options for those groups with seniors who may not be as fast or able to go at the same pace as younger folks. I also feel that bathroom breaks could be factored into the tour. The food option was ok, our group selected to have lunch included and it provided us with a couple of traditional Pueblan options but the food wasn’t very tasty as it was bland which isn’t how our experience was with other food options around Puebla. Perhaps considering a different restaurant should be considered. Overall, I would totally recommend taking a tour with Mariana or Ernie and visiting Puebla. It’s a great one day trip from CDMX.
The all trip was amazing very thanks for Ernesto, Mariana and Daniel they really help in the all trip with guide and ride the bus
Both Ernesto and Marianna made the trip memorable with their humor and educational details.
It was a great tour! Ernesto was a great guide who was very willing to answer all of our questions. Mariela was so much fun and knew so much about everywhere we went. Daniel got us everywhere very efficiently and even handled parking and getting around the tight roads of old town Puebla very well when there were other buses in our way.
Nothing to complain. The guide (I unfortunately forgot his name) was really good and explained a lot. Don't book the lunch. there are loads of food options in Puebla and you get more time to wander around and explore yourself. Puebla itself is really nice. next time I come to Mexico I'll stay at least one night in Puebla.
Marianna was an outstanding guide. She was warm, friendly and shared excellent historical information. She engaged all members of our group in the most delightful way. Cesar was an excellent driver who got us to all locations on time and safely. He was very pleasant as well.
Excellent experience! Both Alexa and David were great guides and made the trip a fun!
Alex was an excellent guide! Really kind and patient, as well as knowledgeable. Great experience with him! The places we visited together were great and it’s a really beautiful tour. Some cons (not about the guide): the lunch is too late (3:30 pm) and it makes it hard to focus during the Puebla section of the tour. Also we weren’t explained how the lunch payment worked and it cost 450 Mexican pesos per person, which is a bit expensive and doesn’t include drinks. You can not pay for lunch and find way better food for the same value or less!
Alex was incredible. He's very passionate and cares deeply about the history and culture. He was very informative and enjoyed answering our questions. You do not have to be religious to appreciate the culture and love that went into these churches and communities that continue to show through hundreds of years. I would absolutely suggest this to anyone of my friends or family members. Thank you Alex - Genaro and Amanda :)
Great day on this tour. The pickup from my hotel was effortless…there was hardly any wait for the bus to fill up and we took off. Our tour guide (Arnie?) was excellent, highly knowledgeable, very well informed and provided us with a very intellectually stimulating experience. The stops were very well orchestrated and so were the time allotments. My favorite stop was Puebla…we got to roam for about 3 hours…seems like a lot, but there is a lot to see and engage with! I look forward to doing this again with my family.
Our experience in San Miguel was made more memorable because of Ruben our guide. He was knowledgeable with the history of all the places we visited. The pace of the tour was just right.
They can expect a lot of historical information fun during the boat ride. They should also bring small denominations in cash for the food that will be offered during the boat tour and pay for musicians.
Worth the money you pay for. Alicia and Victor did an excellent job from start to finish. The places that were mentioned in the tour were all wonderful. Alicia is very knowledgeable about the places we visited. She gave us a thorough explanations of what we need to do in each places. Time well spent. Book it , you won’t regret. 😍
Ernesto was a great guide, and Puebla is such a charming city. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend the tour
Ernesto was an excellent tour guide. He was more than capable of transitioning from Spanish to English, sharing his vast knowledge of the region as well as anecdotes. Pedro was an excellent driver. He safely took us to each location.
