Brenda, our guide, was great. The biggest thing I learned was that she put Mexico history post 1530 in order for me. Plus all the rest of her historical knowledge, kindness, and made the tour fun. Is recommend her!

Itinerary
The Castillo de Chapultepec is a majestic castle perched atop a hill in the heart of Mexico City! This iconic landmark has been a royal palace, military fortress, and presidential residence, with stunning views of the city and a treasure trove of art and history. Explore the opulent rooms, admire the impressive murals, and stroll through the beautiful gardens and parks. The castle's history dates back to the Aztecs, who built a temple on the hill, and later became a symbol of Mexico's independence.

I am so glad that I took this tour because of the wealth of knowledge shared in the time we had together. I learned so much and was so grateful for the patience Galy had with my abundance of questions and for the special insights she offered along the way. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful tour. Ernesto was my tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Mexico. It's a rich history that I was glad to learn about as I saw countless pieces of Mexican history. Would recommend this tour.
Chapultepec Castle will be much better appreciated with the assistance of a good tour guide. Francisco Esquivel was very knowledgeable, understanding of our difficulties trying to cross town from Xochimilco to get to our meeting point. He gave us pointers to the closest access point, saving us the uncertainty to finding our way on our own in that large, very large park. Francisco made sure we learned the history of the castle, of Mexico's political changes and how they reflected in the arts, architecture, furniture, and modern amenities in the building. There are thousands of people trying to see/visit the Castle, having a guide helped and allowed us to actually enjoy and focus on the objects or relevant subjects we encountered as we went into the building. He was also able to point us to places that would haven't been obvious to us, and would've missed if not told about. Note to others: the private tour cost, covers only the guide. Ticket to the Castle has to be purchased separately. Another Note: please don't make the same mistake we made - DO NOT book events/tours with only one hour in between. Distances and TRAFFIC, are serious matter in Mexico City, nothing, absolutely nothing takes less than 45 minutes, and more like an hour of driving to get from place to place. I believe it was money well spent. I strongly recommend Francisco Esquivel as a tour guide.
First of all, we didn't do the tour because the travel company's tour guide refused to meet me and my wife at a location that was close by him because we had no idea where wanted us to meet. This is our first time in Mexico City and had no idea where he was talking about, but we dropped our location which was a few meters to the entrance he was directing us to and refused to meet us. When we finally met up with him, he was rude and said he has another tour and flat out walked away. I was very surprised when I contacted Viator and explained the situation and they refused to give us a refund because the travel operator gave their version of the story and refused to refund our money. Mexico City has over 9 million residents and 21 million people in the metro area so it is a very large and busy city so their location was not clear and there were a lot of assumptions as he said "every tour meets in this location". Do not book with this company and think twice about Viator since they don't stand by their customers and trust the tour companies.
It was a great experience. Our guide, Perla, was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. I learned a lot about Mexican history in a pleasant and relaxed manner. I highly recommend this guide and this tour.
It was my boyfriend’s and my first time visiting Mexico City, and we wanted a more personal experience rather than joining a group tour. We decided to book a private two-hour tour of Chapultepec Castle, and we’re so glad we did! Galy was absolutely amazing. She was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, which made our visit to the castle even more enjoyable. She shared so much interesting history and was happy to answer our questions along the way. She even gave us some great local food recommendations to enjoy during the rest of our trip. We had such a wonderful experience with Galy and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Mexico City. If we ever return, we would absolutely love to have her as our guide again!
At 90 and 80 we were unable to reach the castle since the elevator was shut for the day. Arturo provided an interesting lesson on Mexican history from independence to the fall of Maximilian and then we walked to the wonderful Museo de Arte Moderno, where Arturo taught us a lot as we enjoyed. A very pleasant morning!
Ismael out tour guide, is a very kind respectful and knowledgeable person. Very interesting all the information and descriptions of all the most important events during the tour
Ismael was very knowledgeable friendly and provided a great tour. We learned a great deal about Mexican history
I have been blessed enough to travel and take advantage of many guided tours in various countries to see various special architectural and historical landmarks. The private guided tour we had of the Chapultepec Castle was one of the best tours I have ever been on and was a highlight of our trip. Our guide, Perla, was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, proud of her heritage and culture, that it made our tour so enjoyable and fun that even our teens were fully engaged and enthralled. I cannot recommend this tour and specifically Perla as a guide enough.
Amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable and pleasant!!! Highly recommend.
It was awesome, Galy is super nice, she was very patient and answered all our questions. She explained us all the history very detailed and interesting
We had a great tour by our guide Nallely! Very informative and pointed out so many details that were very interesting and fun. We got lost for over a half hour but Nallely helped guide us so quickly and efficiently we felt we didn’t miss a thing. Even with the rain she promised we would enjoy the visit and she was right! This Castle is a must see and hopefully you get our fantastic tour guide!
We had Arturo as our guide to Chapultepec castle. We learnt a lot about mexican history from Arturo who is very knowledgable and enthusiastic .
We had an incredible tour with Ricardo! He was so knowledgeable about the history of the castle and the art inside. He was clearly very passionate and it made the tour very engaging and enjoyable. He also brought a DSLR photo and took some incredible photos of us around the beautiful scenery of the castle. The tour was the perfect length, an AMAZING value, and truly exceeded our expectations!
History just amazing experience. So much knowledge a 5 star plus a must. Fantastic tour guide. The best tour guide francisco
We enjoyed our tour and would recommend it! Our guide, Arthur, was excellent! He is knowledgeable and did a nice job showing us around and sharing the history to help us understand better what we were seeing. It was a good tour and good use of time
We enjoyed our tour with Pepe. He gave us great details of the castle and the history of the Mexico during the tour. We were able to complete the tour around 2 hours.
Can't imagine a more terrific way to start a stay in this lovely city. Galilea was wonderful and a joy to be with. Highly recommend.
Galy was fantastic. One thing is to take a tour with someone who does it for work, and another is to be with someone who does it with passion, and that is her. Excellent!
Very good tour. Ophelia has a lot of knowledge of our history and is very nice. He arrived on time and guided us throughout.
We loved it! Ismael very tidy and full of clearly explained information. I recommend anyone who does not come from Mexico to have a basic view of the history of the country and the city
Excellent service, very attentive, highly recommended, have headphone service, the agency is highly recommended.
