I’ve been on a lot of different tours in Mexico and our guide Said Flores was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I have wanted to go to the Basilica for over 20 years to experience the history and culture. Had I shown up on my own, I would have ZERO clue where to go and what everything was. Said not only give us history of DF on the way to the Basilica, but also, of course, once we got there. We saw all of the buildings and had time to shop and get some items blessed. Said was so knowledgeable and kind. I wish he did every tour!!! Highly recommend!!!

His knowledge of the Basilica and all of the features there and the history was very strong and he was patient in waiting for us to linger a bit at the end. We had an awesome experience with the private tour provided by Jordy with TourMate Mexico. He adapted the tour to both English and Spanish speakers and was very descriptive of the different things. There were several moments that other people from different groups were paying attention to his descriptions rather than their own tour guides. With having both older adults and young children, he adapted the speed of the tour to the needs of the group. I really enjoyed this tour and couldn’t recommend it enough.

TourMate organised all our tours in Mexico City. They were simply brilliant and value for money. We went for private tours. The tour guides were highly qualified (one was a PhD in Anthropology) and spoke excellent English. The food tours were brilliant and the guides took time to explain. Our private tour of the Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe was EXCELLENT! Yordi, our guide did a fantastic job. I was concerned about the tour when I scheduled with Yordi as I wasn’t certain if my non-Catholic friends would enjoy. They absolutely LOVED IT! Yordi’s overview of the Basilica was very thorough and kept us engaged throughout our tour. Yordi’s easy going attitude enhanced our experience. Yordi took us( three couples) on a tour of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was very knowledgeable about the history and the various buildings. He was very patient and willing to stop for photos. Everything was arranged and it was simply a pleasant day and a very memorable experience. He picked us up in a van and dropped us back at our hotel. Yordi was very flexible, experienced with driving and with the many sites in Mexico City, and was very easy to understand ( his English is excellent and his Spanish was even better!). We couldn’t have been more pleased with his assistance with our trip.

My wife and I went on a perfect 45 minute visit to the Basilica with Yordi after seeing the pyramids with him (also excellent). He explained the story of the Lady of Guadalupe and we did a tour of the old and new basilicas where he pointed out lots of interesting features. Highly recommended, even from this non- catholic.

Wow! I had not originally Planned on doing this tour, but we decided to add it on Christmas Day after we had visited the Teotihuacan pyramids with Yordi. I am so glad we did! Yordi shared his extensive knowledge of the history of the Virgin of Guadalupe, and that day at the Basilica was amazing to see the crowds of people. It was really special to be there and to understand the importance of this event/place in Mexican history. Highly recommend for anyone!

Great tour! Our Guide Jordi did an absolutly amazing job - he was incredibly talented and really motivated. I loved his explainations and his knowledge was stunning. The Basilica we have visited is devided into an old and a new part and we were allowed to access both buildings. It was absolutly worth the tour and a MUST SEE. All in all we had a wonderful day and would 100% recommand this tour.
