Our guide Diego was exceptional, very knowledgeable and generous with his time. I learned so much about both history and art.

I was in Mexico City a year ago and was very frustrated that i couldn't get someone to explain in English the meaning behind the murals at the Palacio so this time i decided to book a tour in advance. It was worth it! Our guide, Diego, was great. He had a lot of information and spent time answering our questions. Would definitely recommend him and the tour.

The Interior of the museum is a must see in and of itself. Our guide Diego was extremely informative and gave us some background information which was very helpful. You would not be able to appreciate the Art and the artist’s vision and motivation just by looking at the murals on your own. Context is very important.

Diego provided us with a wonderful in-depth tour of the three key murals from the three great Mexican muralists plus an extended few gems in the gallery. Our tour was at the same time informative and fun. Diego was incredibly knowledgeable and took care to give us time to ask questions. We learned not only about the murals but more broadly about art in Mexico and the historical context of the country. Would highly recommend.

I found the murals very hard to understand on my own without a tour so I booked one last minute. Jorge was kind and super knowledgeable. Multiple people stopped us on the tour to get his card so that they could book the tour in the future. I learned so much and he was excited to answer any questions. We ended up booking a follow up tour with him for the anthropology museum. Take this tour!

I appreciated that Diego, our splendid guide for the Wall Murals, got in touch with me several times in advance of our tour to see whether there were any questions, give me contact info and confirm where we would meet and how we could recognize him. In person Diego was remarkably articulate, knowledgeable and thorough . We found him wonderfully responsive to questions, What we especially liked was that he was totally  attuned to his audience. ( I was more interested in the artwork and personal relationship between Diego Rivera and Jose Clemente Orozco, while my husband wanted to discuss the politics and history.) We both learned so much from Diego's presentation. Finally, I would mention that our tour was exactly the right length of time and amount of walking for us. We could not have asked for anything more.

I regretted booking this murals tour on my last day in México. Jorge was clearly the subject matter expert and has painted a very insightful tour of entire México history. If I have gotten in touch with Jorge earlier, my entire tour of Mexico would’ve been more meaningful. He has an excellent command of English as well as translating the artful intricacies to non-art majors like myself to full understand and appreciate the magnificence of each mural. Erudite Diego gave us the most wonderful tour of the murals of the Palacio de Belles Artes. He was so well-read, intelligent and informed. By doing the tour with him he opened our eyes up to the meaning and depth behind the art and artists. What a wonderful dive into the rich history of Mexico and the world.

I can't recommend this tour enough. Diego was super knowledgeable. Night and day difference having a guide explain the symbolism of the murals and the biographical background of the artists.

We were originally scheduled to take a tour of the Belles Artes palace, but the police had the area cordoned off, so Natalia offered to take us on the murals tour. It was AMAZING. She provided a great deal of background about the artists and their relationships with each other. She also did a great job explaining the symbolism of each of the murals we viewed. There is no way we could have understood what we were seeing without her instruction. We feel like we stumbled into a treat and would recommend the tour to anyone wanting to learn about the muralist tradition in Mexico.

We met Jorge in the mural section of the Bellas Artes. What a wonderful eye opener to the genius of these artists. Jorge brought the art alive with his animated discussion of the time period, politics and lives of these muralists. Many thanks Jorge for making our visit so incredible!

It was an in depth explanation of the murals. Natalie Andrea was very knowledgeable. Also very pleasant. The murals depict the history of Mexico.

My sister and I had Diego as our tour guide and he was amazing! He accompanied us to the archeology museum, the Castillo, the Diego Rivera museum and Belle d’Artes, and he was extremely professional and so knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and made our visit to Mexico City much more interesting and informative, not to mention how nice he was to spend time with. I would highly recommend this tour company and am so glad we had Diego to take us to all the great sites! He was top notch!

Honestly, I found the explanation very pleasant and they answered all my questions, also with real information and incredible diction; my guide Diego was very kind and personalized the explanation for us in a mix of English and Spanish, which was clear and precise; when you can, look for him, incredible guy.

This was our first tour. A total surprise, after being frustrated that we couldn’t find anyone to tell us where the fine art museum tours started, we saw Jesus finishing one.
