I normally don't (hardly ever) take the time to write a review, but I realize how incredibly lucky my wife and I were to have Adriana as our guide for the Zocalo historic district of Mexico City and surrounds, and felt sorry for anyone not as lucky as us, and figured I sort of had an obligation to future tourists to let you know that a private tour with Adriana is a "must do" for anyone visiting Mexico City. The one qualification on this recommendation is that I'm not sure how long it will be helpful as City Unscripted is crazy if they don't have Adriana spending all her time teaching all the other tour guides how to give incredible (really, beyond incredible!) tours! Adriana was funny (hilariously funny), she was knowledgeable (I'm talking expert), and, most importantly, she knew her audience in almost a sixth sense way -- she somehow knew exactly what would interest us, how much we wanted to know, never summarizing something we wanted to hear about in detail, and never going too deep into subjects that weren't really something we cared about. I left my Thesaurus at home, so all I can do is say Adriana is The Best!

I had a great time with Isaac. He was so knowledgeable and fun - he’s very chill and made sure that I had a good experience - he allowed lots of time for me to shop and browse wherever I wanted and the trip to the mural with him was exceptional. We even stopped for tacos as well. A relaxed and fun way to see the highlights with a pro like Isaac!
Great experience. What I like best was when we met our guide thank youshe immediately says what do you want out of your trip and tell me more about you. So that she could cater the experience for what we enjoy. Don’t often get that with a guide.
It was a great tour. Our guide Roberto was very knowledgeable about the area, the history. He was passionate about the culture. He stayed in contact with us before the tour & was offering suggestions about places to eat etc. in the city. We will ask for him again in our next trip.
Adriana took us on a wonderful tour across Downtown Mexico City, showed us the hot spots but also gave us the chance to arrive after our long flight. She took care for our wishes with regards to the points of intersts, Dios de la muerte and the life in the city. One highlight was the delicious lunch. Adriana is a wonderful person with lots of knowledge about the city and the people, a great sense of humour and a big heart!

I took a 4 hour solo tour with Isaac H. He met me at my hotel for an easy meeting. Walked all over, giving me insight to different parts of history of the city. The city was very busy as it was the day before Halloween and the weekend, but navigated it with ease. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. Answered all my questions. He even made sure I made it to different chocolate and sweets shops. I had a great time!
We had the best tour guide Issac. He was on time, knowledgeable, and spoke perfect English. He was well versed on the history, culture and dining of Mexico City and we enjoyed our experience immensely. We highly recommend him for anyone who wants to get a real feel for Mexico City and see the most interesting parts of the city!
Marisol was amazing! We enjoyed the customized tour to meet our wishes. A great tour of the city! The history was way more than we expected! Wow, just wow!
Enjoyed our private neighborhood walking tour with Mike to kick off our short stay in Mexico City. We always enjoy getting the "locals" perspective, tailored to our interests and timeline. He was informative and very pleasant. Mike also helped us make arrangements for a private car transportation to/from another tour and back to the airport on short notice.
Alex showed me around Condesa and Roma, he was very knowledgeable and I really appreciated historic details he shared. He was very well prepared with historic photos of areas we visited, it was amazing to see how much has changed. We walked A LOT in 2 hours, and I’m amazed at how much we saw.
Marisol was AN ABSOLUTE delight!!! So knowledgeable and kind! He learned so much about the magic and little hidden gems of Mexico City. Marisol made it so special.
Very knowledgeable and friendly! We visited areas we hadn’t walked to and discovered wonderful local shops and art galleries. Would recommend for a lovely curated experience.
Great local guide and custom walking tour. Alex was informed, informative, and attentive. Highly recommended!
Marisol was a wonderful guide that customized our experience to our interests. We were able to see historic sights as well as off the beaten path areas with local insight. Our guide had great knowledge of the history, architecture, archeology and how it connects to present day Mexicans. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed hearing and seeing the history of the city.
Our hidden gems tour with Marisol was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico City! From beginning to end, she made the experience not only incredibly educational but also so much fun. She took us to countless beautiful and fascinating places that we never would have discovered on our own, giving us an entirely different perspective on this incredible city. Marisol is warm, kind, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. Her passion for Mexico is absolutely contagious, and it’s evident how deeply she loves her country and takes pride in sharing its history and culture with others. We learned so much about the history of Mexico and Mexico City in particular, as well as the local culture, food, and traditions. She showed us breathtaking views, charming hidden corners, and places we otherwise would have completely missed. What made the experience especially memorable, though, was Marisol herself. By the end of our time together, we felt like we had spent the day exploring the city with a friend rather than a tour guide. In fact, we now consider her one! We can genuinely say that Marisol played an enormous role in making us fall in love with Mexico City. Her kindness, enthusiasm, knowledge, and expertise brought the city to life in a way we never could have anticipated. We are already looking forward to returning soon, and there is absolutely no question that we will be booking another tour with her when we do. We cannot recommend Marisol highly enough and will be encouraging every friend and family member visiting Mexico City to book with her. If you want to truly experience the heart and soul of Mexico City, there is no better person to show you than Marisol!
Claudia was an excellent tour guide! She was very knowledgeable and knew Mexico City very well. She had a great attitude, was friendly, and made everyone feel welcome. I especially appreciated how she explained the culture, traditions, and history of Mexico City in such an interesting and engaging way. You can tell she truly loves what she does and takes pride in sharing the beauty of her city with others. I highly recommend Claudia to anyone visiting Mexico City. Thank you, Claudia, for such a great experience!
Roberto took us from the Aztecs through today!! Hes smart, friendly, engaging, and obviously knows his way around Mexico City. We learned so much our head was spinning! Loved how he and City Unscripted asked questions about us so that the tour was perfectly designed. The tour was long enought that we were able to sit down, have coffee, and just talk twice. We loved that!
This tour gave us a real feel for Mexico City. Our guide, Claudia, was confident and knowledgeable, and her historical perspective on the region made all the sites more meaningful. She took us inside buildings and out onto balconies, which gave us unique views of the area that we would never have found on our own. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Centro.
Issac was a great guide very knowledgeable and personable . We really enjoyed the tour and felt like we had a great feel for Mexico City once completed.
Alex was a wonderful guide and made sure our experience was the true local experience z. He worked through all the road closures due to protests and also left us with amazing resources to explore afterwards
Fantastic tour with Lando. He showed us beautiful sites while explaining Mexico’s history in such a fun and compelling manner. Highly recommend!
This custom private city tour worked great for us. We worked with our guide Fernanda to pick and choose the sights we wanted to see and experience. Fernanda was great as she showed us around and provided background on the sites we covered. If you are up for a good walk, I would recommend this tour & guide.
We never did the tour as our guide never showed up. Tried to contact the local company several times with no luck. Never hear back from them.
My daughter and I visited Mexico City for the first time and wanted to learn about the history and culture of the people. Marisol was full of knowledge and so kind and generous. We had an amazing time. We are so glad we had the opportunity to tour with her and highly recommend her!
What an incredible walking tour of historical downtown Mexico City! Lando met us at our hotel and from there we covered several miles of amazing history, beautiful architecture, and learned so much about fabulous Mexico City. Lando was so kind, engaging, and very informative. He also took beautiful family photos of us, including cool cinema-worthy videos! I had requested a few sites in particular that we wanted to cover, which we did. But Lando also surprised us with some extra spots that we didn’t know about and were not covered in the guides we had read. Anytime I come back to Mexico City, I plan to book another tour with Lando. Don’t miss out on this experience!
Alex was an outstanding guide. Provided the right amount of historical context, with a mix of casual experience to get to know the city better. I feel like I came away with a better understanding of Mexican History & Culture. Request Alex when you book this experience.
This tour was an incredible way to learn about Mexico City. I can’t say enough great things about our guide Ninneth. She reached out in advance to find out if what we were interested in. We went with her suggestion as a local. She picked Coyacoan, which was charming and beautiful to walk through. She taught us about the history of Mexico City, and then would pick fun stops where we could try delicious food, or beautiful churches or homes that illustrated her points. She was really engaging, knowledgable and interesting. Truly a phenomenal tour. I highly recommend her as a guide and this particular tour.
Walking tour that was interesting & covered a lot of ground.
Ernesto is a fantastic guide. He speaks 3 languages English, Spanish and Portuguese. He is very knowledgeable about the city and its history. He makes you feel comfortable and welcoming. If you are in CDMX please look him up you will not be disappointed. If I could give him 6 stars i would.
Ernesto was an excellent host and very knowledgeable about Mexico City and the history of Mexico. He gave us a really good foundational understanding of the city to help us better plan the remainder of our trip. Highly recommend.
Great way to see some of the sights of the city. Per my request, we focused on the places to see around Plaza de la Constitution (Zócalo). Oskar, my guide, was accommodating and super knowledgeable and I had a magnificent time. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone new to Mexico City.
An excellent experience with a very knowledgeable, fun, and friendly guide called Marisol. This tour is a must for any visitor to CDMX.
Nico was terrific. Showed us all the highlights we were interested in. Was very knowledgeable and accommodating of our groups needs. Nico was kind and made the information engaging and fun. Would highly recommend this tour and Nico.
Marisol, was a very communicative, knowledgeable, friendly, fun and down to earth guide. She tailored the excursion based on my interests which was quite a personalized experience. Highly recommend Marisol as she’s well traveled and has a lot of facts about CDMX. Thank you Marisol!
Lou was an outstanding guide. She was knowledgeable about the history and current events of the city. She provided a terrific sample of historic buildings and the history of them. We were together for four hours. She introduced us to a great store and restaurant where we enjoyed a cold drink and rest before continuing. She introduced us to the metro and bus service saving us some steps when we were tired and at the end of our tour. In addition she shared the name of a restaurant that was excellent!
Our guide was Alex, and it was such a great walking tour of the city! He met us at our hotel, and we covered a lot of CDMX, which gave us an excellent overview of the city. We stopped at an amazing street taco spot, visited historical sites, and explored some really cool shopping areas. Alex was an incredible guide — informative, friendly, and full of interesting facts and local insights. He even sent us lunch restaurant recommendations after the tour had ended. Highly recommend!
Had a 4 hr tour with Marisol Inclán. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history, cultures, and architecture of Mexico City. It was a perfect day! So also gave a fabulous recommendation for lunch after the tour. Will be back in a few months- and will defiantly ask for Marisol again.
Our guide, Marisol, was beyond what we expected. The tour she gave was extremely insightful. She helped create number of plans prior to our trip that already showed her thoughtful, friendly, and respectful personality. Her tour is what made us want to come back to Mexico City again to explore more! Thank you, Marisol. It was a pleasure meeting you!
Roberto was a fabulous tour guide! We planned a 3 hour custom tour. Communications prior to our tour date with him was very strong. He proactively reached out several times and was extremely responsive. He also met us at our hotel. We had previously told him (via WhatsApp) what we were interested in seeing to ensure that it was part of his plan. We went to historic downtown and from the moment we met him, we knew the experience would be terrific, especially with his anthropology background and expertise! We learned so much about Mexico’s past and present and Mexico City itself. We loved the fact that our conversation with him was engaging throughout, covering a wide range of topics spanning history. He took us to several notable buildings, landmark locations, historical sites, museums, church/cathedral, and of course city center. He was flexible, accommodating, super pleasant and extremely professional. In fact, we enjoyed our time so much together that after our tour was over, we invited him to join us for lunch! Would highly recommend this experience - and ask for Roberto!!!
Alex was a wonderful, entertaining, deeply knowledgeable, passionate guide. We hit the ground running and he was game with all our ideas. Didn’t even blink when we asked if we could take the subway instead of an Uber to get the full local experience. He showed us to several amazing street taco vendors as well - well off the tourist beaten path. We learned an incredible amount of Mexican history. Alex truly possess a wealth of information about culture, history, architecture, and food. We booked this last minute and really lucked out - it was so much fun and he had interesting commentary everywhere we went. DO NOT MISS THIS - it will lay the foundation of a well-informed trip to Mexico City that every conscientious tourist should partake in.
Roberto was great guide. We switched our itinerary because of celebrations in the central area to go through the Museum of archeology and Chapultepec park. He was super knowledgeable and loves the history and culture of Mexico. He also gave us great tips for the rest of our visit to Mexico City.
We are so glad we booked this tour! Nic, our guide was so knowledgeable and easy going. It was a great way to learn about Centro Histórico and the Zocalo, which is where we were staying. He met us right at our hotel and immediately began the experience. He took us all around the area and pointed out many cool spots to eat, shop and visit. I would totally recommend Nic and this tour. Be sure to ask him about his Texas roots!
I’ll be honest, I was a little bit nervous about my tour at first because despite booking it semi-last minute (about 10 days out), I thought I’d have more contact with my guide leading up to it but there wasn’t. We ended up texting the night before to confirm - which was fine - I just expected more pre-contact. However, that being said, Marisol put on a fantastic tour! This was probably one of the weirder/more unique tours as I asked to see the medical museum (which is definitely not one of the more common choices) and she added on going to see the oldest hospital in the Americas which was super cool. In the end, it was a fantastic tour and I was very glad to have her as my guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about architecture and medical things, as well as many of the artworks we saw since we visited the mural museum too. Overall, would recommend and very glad to have picked this tour! Just need to be a bit more proactive with the pre-communication.
Wonderful time with Danielle. Bring your walking shoes. Our party of 5 took in all the main sites, finishing at the Cathedral. Recommend.
Nic was FABULOUS! He definitely took into consideration what we wanted to see during our tour and went above and beyond to ensure it happened. He was incredibly knowledgeable and also had a great sense of humor! I totally recommend his tour to anyone!
Very busy. Very interesting. Ingrid was very helpful. Historic Mexico City is a must to gsun insight of Mexico as a city
Overall we really enjoyed our tour. Our guide, Fernanda, was a wealth of knowledge and answered all our many questions. The walking tour is a great way to start your visit to Mexico City. Our mistake….we chose four hours but three would have been better on our feet.
We had a wonderful walk through the Centro Histórico with Nicolas. He is a fountain of information and proud of his heritage. It's so much nicer to explore such a history rich city, when your eyes are supported by a story teller giving it a much deeper meaning. The 3 hours were over before we knew it, but Nicholas wasn't yet done. Still spent almost half an hour extra showing the his favorite building, the current Grand Hotel Ciudad de Mexico.
