We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our private walking tour of Mexico City, led by Nick, who was exceptional. Nick guided us through the historic centre with incredible knowledge and enthusiasm. We visited the major churches and learned in depth about the city’s layered history, including the Aztecs (Mexica), whose ancient city lies beneath modern Mexico City. It was fascinating to learn how colonial buildings were constructed directly over the original pyramids and sacred sites, creating the extraordinary cityscape that exists today. The tour covered Mexico City’s rich cultural evolution, from its Indigenous roots through colonial times, and into the Art Deco period. Nick explained the different architectural styles beautifully and brought the history to life in a way that was both educational and engaging. You truly begin to appreciate just how old, complex, and vibrant this city is. To finish the experience, Nick took us to lunch in one of the historic buildings in the city centre, which was the perfect way to conclude the day — relaxed, authentic, and steeped in atmosphere. The guide was excellent, very knowledgeable. This was not our first trip to Mexico City and we had seen most of the tourist attractions already. Sandra was able to take us to places we had not been. We felt that we saw the City through the eyes of local, which is what we wanted and not easy to do on short notice. We felt we had made a new friend.

Adriana was a fantastic guide. She emailed us right after booking to learn what we wanted to see and crafted the perfect day based on our interests. Frida Kahlo was at the top of our list, but we didn’t want to spend hours in a museum, so she took us to San Ángel to visit Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo’s studio and explore the charming cobblestone streets, then on to Coyoacán, Frida’s hometown. We enjoyed an authentic lunch at the local market and even had our faces painted for the Nov. 1 celebrations before heading to the parade. Adriana introduced us to parts of Mexico City we never would have found on our own. Her historical knowledge is remarkable, and we instantly felt comfortable with her. I wish everyone is as fortunate as we were to find the perfect tour guide.

Wow! Ernesto took us to the most beautiful parts of Mexico City and gave us a very thorough overview of the history and culture. He customized the tour to just what we wanted to see and do and honestly made us fall in love with the city. My tour guide Jose was very friendly and accommodating. He was flexible with my requests and came up with an itinerary well-adapted to my needs. I particularly enjoyed the visit to a local library with full walls of beautiful murals as well as the national library, which was an incredible piece of architecture that I’d recommend to everyone. We also tried the public transportation and food at a local market, which was great!

Oh my Gosh!! I had a wonderful time with Adriana! My colleague and I had just a few short hours in Mexico City before my flight but she really made it worth our while! We learnt so much about the Centro Historico. All about the beautiful architecture, history and culture of the pre-Spanish era and about the Aztecs. Marisol did a great job of introducing us to Mexico City. A few weeks before our trip, she sent a questionnaire asking about what we really wanted to focus on with our time. We said that since this was our first trip to CDMX, that we’d like to hit the highlights while learning about Mexican (and Mexico City’s) history. Marisol did a wonderful job of answering our questions and tailoring our afternoon to see precisely what we wanted to see, all while she explained the Mexican history and culture. We had traditional snacks, and she even showed us a hidden area in the park. Overall highly recommended.
