We really enjoyed our mural tour with Leo. Very interesting to learn the history and politics along with the art, and lots of in depth and engaging information and answers to our questions. We visited a lot of sites that we wouldn’t have known about without the guide.

Diana was great-in depth knowledge of history she tied into the art. One of the best tours I've ever done!
Our guide Sofia was exceptional. She knows her Mexican history and has in depth knowledge of the murals, the artists, and the historical context. We visited the most significant murals as well as some lesser known murals in a public market. We could have easily spent 2 full days with Sofia - there is so much to see and understand if feels like we barely scratched the surface. And her English is excellent.
After a small glitch with the meeting place, the tour was excellent. We learned so much from our knowledge and enthusiastic guide.
Our guide shared very little of the history and context of Mexican muralism. Unless we asked questions, we got little info. Nothing on why/how/when muralism began. Scant explanation of individual murals. We were very disappointed.
Ady was a fantastic guide. She was so warm and friendly and fun. She was so knowledgeable about the murals and such a great communicator. We learnt so much. The murals were incredible and we saw some hidden gems that we were unaware of.We highly recommend this experience.
Sofia was an excellent tour guide with so much knowledge and passion about the murals. It felt so special to be shown the murals in the market. A location I most likely would not have ever seen on my own.
We initially signed up for the Coyoachan your with our wonderful tour guide Sophia. We loved out tour with her so much that we signed up for her Mural tour the next day. First of all, Sophia is so friendly, fun, kind and patient. She is very knowledgeable about Mexican history, art, culture and people. Her English is very good and very easy to understand. She was personable and very friendly and made several stops, tied together pieces of history. She even detailed pieces of history for another friend in our tour who arrived later in Mexico City to bring them up to speed. For this particular tour she provided great detail and insight into the art pieces and even helped us relocate specific ones we were interested in. Along the tour she answers questions thoroughly and goes out of her way to help us try the local foods and experiences. You can tell she loves Mexico City and the history and more importantly she loves her job! Thank you, Sophia.
We did a bunch of tours with Estacion de Mexico and really enjoyed the Coyocan and Muralism tours. We learned a lot and saw many things we would never have found out by ourselves. I highly recommend doing any tour with Sofia!
It is so informative and interesting! Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about mexican history
This was an amazing experience to see important murals and learn about socio-politico aspects of Mexico. Sofia is a fantastic guide with vast knowledge in mural artists and the movement they supported. It was fabulous and a great way to see different murals in the city center.
Great tour into murals and connection with Mexican history. Our guide was fantastic and provided a lot of information that was easy digestible. Highly recommended!
Laura was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the history of Mexico and muralists. She was fun and I really enjoyed her tour. Thank you Laura!
I did 2 walking tours with Sofia and one with Laura, and all were great! The guides were very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging and went above and beyond to answer questions and be accommodating to the group. I learned so much about the history, culture, and life in Mexico. I would highly recommend these tours for anyone who is visiting!
We had an amazing time on our tour of the murals with Carmina. She navigated us around an extremely crowded plaza near the Cathedral (there was an event earlier the morning of our tour) We went to three sites including the College of San ldefonso, Secretary of Public Education and the Palacio de Bellas Artes and saw murals by "The Big Three"- Rivera, Orozco and Siqueiros. Carmina provided us with historical context, some political history and was very knowledgeable about the murals themselves. We also stopped for a local snack! We had a very enjoyable time and would definitely book with them again! Thanks AE San Francisco
Ulysses was a very knowledgable and accommodating guide. He took us to many murals and examples of public art that would have been very difficult to find independently. His passion for Mexican art, culture and history made the experience unique and memorable. Highly recommended if you want to learn a ton about Mexican murals many of which are hidden in plain sight!
The tour was Mexican Muralism and it was outstanding! Amazing to see these works of art and learn about Mexican history. Our guide, Sofia, was an amazing tour guide. I highly recommend the tour and guide.
Ulysses did a wonderful job explaining the history of the murals leading up to the revolution and beyond. We felt that we saw enough of Diego Rivera murals.
I am so glad I decided to book this Mexican muralism walk! It made me fall in love with Mexico even more than I already had! I felt that I learned a lot about the struggle to survive of the Mexican people and how their agony poured out into Diego Rivera murals and the students that he inspired. I feel that it I would have gone on my own I could have maybe found them but would have no idea the history behind them, which was fantastically told by our tour guide Ulysses. He was very passionate in his storytelling which made the experience that much more wonderful. Quite simply, I loved this tour.
Wariyor was the most passionate tour guide I ever experienced. He was detail, proud, and easy to talk to. Let's just say I wish the tour was longer. If I have any friends that love the history behind murals , I will tell them go with Wariyor. Loved every moment.
Diana was very knowledgeable and a great guide. Would recommend. 3 muralists featured are Rivera, Orozco and Siquieros.
For travelers: I was really disappointed that we didn’t see the murals in the Secretaria de Educacion Publica as it is closed on tuesday - how can a tourist agency not know about that? I had chosen this tour because of those murals. Thank god there are murals to see at every corner, so our guide took us to some other places. For the agency: Warrior did a great job explaining us the depictions and could answer all our questions.
When we met our tour guide, Ulysis (aka Warrior), he greeted us with the brutal facts: The famous Diego Rivera mural in the Palacio Nacional is only accessible to the public on Fridays, and the Secretaría de Educación Pública is now closed on Tuesdays. Unfortunately, our tour was on a Tuesday. But Ulysis quickly adapted and took us to the Mercado Abelardo L. Rodríguez instead, where we found ourselves immersed in a vibrant market surrounded by stunning historical murals by renowned artists. Next, we visited the Museo Mural Diego Rivera and the Casa de los Azulejos, each offering a distinct and captivating experience. Ulysis may not look like your typical docent, but his deep knowledge of civilization, culture, and art history was truly impressive. We learned so much in a highly entertaining and engaging way, making the experience far richer than we ever expected. Thank you, Warrior! We rounded off our mural tour with a visit to the Palacio de Bellas Artes on our own.
Our guide was Warryor; he was informed, passionate, humorous, and patient. The tour was excellent. A good thing to do at the being of a stay in Mexico City to introduce to the city's history & some of its geography.
Ulysses was a knowledgeable and personable guide. Many in our small group, including me, were very unhappy to learn that the Dept of Education is closed to tours on Tuesdays. This prevented us from seeing many of the Diego Rivera murals that we were all hoping to see. I would not have booked this particular tour which specifically mentioned the education department had I known this! TripAdvisor should have put a caveat in the listing. Ulysses did take us to areas off the beaten path to show us things that we would normally not have seen. His personality was engaging and turned the situation from a negative into a positive. He was also helpful in giving additional information on other sites to be visited and when to visit them. He made an excellent recommendation for lunch Casa de Tono. The best posole! I think he could’ve benefited from a small headset to amplify his voice.
This was a fascinating tour of some of the best murals in Mexico City. We learned a lot and had a great time viewing some of the hidden gems!
Laura was our enthusiastic & knowledgeable guide who was happy to answer questions and engage in conversation. She also gave us excellent recommendations on further mural adventures and lunch.
We saw murals and buildings we never would have found on our own. The guide was very good. Fun! But be aware that you need to be able to walk. Not a lot, but some
This is an excellent and unique tour. We visited several off the beaten track spots in Mexico City and saw beautiful murals, many by Diego Rivera. Our guide, Ulysses, was extremely approachable, funny, and knowledgeable not only about art, but about our many questions about Mexican history, politics, culture. Highly highly recommend!
If you are interested in priceless, original art while visiting Mexico City, please take this exceptional tour. Our amazing guide David crafted a very personal tour for our small group based on our interests and understanding of the many murals around the city. His expertise about the medium, the artists, the settings and the contextual history of each mural viewed was highly professional and engaging. Loved every moment. A great day!
Sophia was our guide and she was excellent. It was apparent how much she truly cared about the murals. She was incredibly knowledgeable and insightful.
This tour deserves more than five stars - it is an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in situ in the history of Mexican murals. We visited three different sites, a college, a market and the Diego Rivera museum, each one so distinct. If you are fortunate, your guide will be the sensational Davide. His breadth of knowledge and passion for the subject made this a standout tour for us, plus he is a warm, kind man who is simply a pleasure to be around. We followed the tour by a visit to the Palacio de Belles Artes for…yup, more murals. Highly recommended!
We went on Estacion Mexico Murals tour with Sofia. it was truly excellent.. we went to various places to see the murals of Rivera , Orozco and others which would be overlooked without this tour Sofia is specializing in Mural Art and knew a tremendous amount about the techniques and the historical and political background and was a pleasure to be with Take this tour if you can.
We spent a fantastic few hours with our tour guide Sofia, looking at a surprisingly big number of murals at different locations around Centro Histórico. From public buildings and markets to the new Museo Vivo del Muralismo. Sofia took us to secluded places to see murals that only few people know are there to see. We saw some of the best examples of murals by the famous Rivera and Orozco as well as by their disciples. Understanding the historical and political environment from Sofia's eclectic knowledge makes the experience much richer. Highly recommended.
This was one of the highlights of our time in Mexico City. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to see murals that we could never have found on our own. I was thrilled to see a Noguchi mural and several murals by students of the great muralists in markets and other public spaces. Our guide's nickname is "Warrior" because he is from Guerrero. He had quite a following. Several members of our group had previously been on tours with him.
Fabulous guide. She was so knowledgeable, smart and caring. Everyone on the tour was thrilled. The murals are inside three buildings and the tour description is exactly accurate.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to see lots of murals and beautiful buildings. I don’t believe I would of been able to find these murals with the wealth of its history with out the tour guide.
This was our absolute favorite tour by Estacion Mexico. Davide did an excellent job. He was so engaging, making a tour personalized to our interests. I knew a little about some of the artists mentioned from my art history degree but still found his tour to be extremely knowledgeable. You can tell he is passionate about his subject. It’s well worth the money. Even my partner who is not an art person found this tour to be the best of the 4 we took.
Sophia was a great knowledgeable guide with a lot of passion for the muralist movement. Alligned with stunning buildkngs
This tour was amazing and our guide was totally amazing. We went to beautiful and interesting places and saw fantastic murals. Loved the Secreteria of Educacion, with tons of Diego Rivera murals, best. Highly recommend! Company was GREAT to deal with.
This was a fantastic tour with Warryor who showed us some murals we would have never known about otherwise. He went above and beyond because we ran out of time to visit the last stop. He invited us to meet him later that day after his afternoon tour and he took us to the last mural. Very knowledgable about the murals and the city. Highly recommend!
This was one of the most amazing tours we have been on. Our guide, Warryor, took us to see murals that we would never known about or been able to explore on our own. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the murals and the artists. He also gave us wonderful tips about Mexico City itself, including restaurants and other sites. He went above and beyond his tour duties because we ran out of time to see the last stop because my husband stops to take a lot of photographs. He met up with us again after his afternoon tour and took us to the last stop, another incredible mural by Diego Rivera. His enthusiasm for his work is inspiring and contagious. I would highly recommend any tour he gives.
Sophia was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! We saw the history and culture of Mexico through the amazing murals in plain site here in CDMX. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!
I absolutely LOVED my tour! I went with my 14 year old daughter. It ended up being just us on the tour and I felt SO lucky! I got to ask all the questions I wanted and take all the time I wanted when we went to the various places. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about both the area and the art. I am a mural painter around Austin, Texas, so I was excited that this tour was offered. I would recommend it to anyone interested in art and history. Many of the murals were politically charged, which was a neat peek into history.
Highly recommend taking this tour with David! He’s so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the murals and the story they tell. He also took the time to teach us about Mexican history and culture along the way. One of the stops is a mural in the market and we would have never known they were there - really feels like you get an insider tour
This was just a great way to spend a Sunday morning in Mexico City. Three sites to see a number of murals all beautifully described and put into historical context by Carmina .Outstanding and highly recommended
Ulysses was truly exceptional—his depth of knowledge and approachable personality made the experience unforgettable. He welcomed questions at every stop, guiding us to hidden gems of Mexican culture and art history that we would have never found on our own. The murals, rich in political commentary and cultural significance, are absolute treasures that everyone visiting Mexico City should see. There's so much to explore that one day isn't nearly enough. Honestly, just appreciating all the murals could take a week! Thank you, Ulysses, for making our time so fun, informative, and engaging. We can't wait to return and complete the tour with you!
Ulysses (Warryor) was a fantastic tour guide! He brought a lot of personality to our tour which is super fun. We saw cool murals that we wouldn't have found otherwise. Highly recommend.
This was a top-notch tour of some of Mexico’s important muralists led by Eren who was excellent in bringing to life so much of the artist’s context and especially Mexico’s history. It immensely helped us appreciate the content of each mural and their cultural impact. The tour moved us from educational institute to public market to cultural institute via walking and public transport which we also liked. Thank you and would highly recommend.
We had the best tour with Warryor! It was supposed to be a bigger group, but the other party was very late so he took us on our own tour. It was amazing! Even though some sites were closed due to renovations, he made sure to take us to multiple murals and explained the history behind the muralism movement in Mexico. Not only was her very knowledgeable, he was also passionate about the murals and his job. There was so much more we learned with him than we ever would have on our own. He was friendly, engaging, and easy to talk with, not just about the art but about the culture and the city. I would definitely take another tour with Warryor. Highly recommend. As a plus, he knows the best place for aguas frescas.
