Had a great time with Salvador. He had some great food recommendations. I would book again. Tried food ive never had before.
Enjoyed the food and interaction with Salvatore was great. He explained a lot of the history behind the food and took us to restaurants that we would not have found ourselves Only downside was that the city was extremely busy with the world cup being on and many roads were changed to one way streets. Salvatore had to change his tour to accommodate this
Maria was a fantastic guide! The food we had was delicious, and Maria was accommodating and friendly. I loved hearing about the history of various cuisines and her own experiences with regional Mexican cuisine. She even shared some additional recommendations for the city as we continue exploring. I appreciated that the tour did not feel pushy or overly touristy. This was our first tour of the week and she was an excellent start. The larger “Eating with Carmen” team was also very communicative and helpful. Thank you so much! I would recommend this tour greatly.
We had a wonderful morning with Hugo and Alex as our guides. Lots of lovely tastes of genuine Mexican food and chat about Mexico City itself. Finished up with coffee and cake. Wow!
Alejandro was the ideal guide and knew many great options to introduce me to the local cuisine. As a solo traveler it is important to feel safe and I could not have asked for a better evening. The food was delicious and I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to others. Thank you Alejandro!
Had multiple foods in various setting in Historico Centre… Girard was a great guide and walking partner Bakeries are the BEST
This tour ended up with just my son and I and we had a wonderful time with our guide Alejandro. Alejandro personalized this tour according to our needs since we love Mexican food! Since this was our first visit to Mexico City we appreciated the historical and cultural information we received. I would highly recommend this tour!!!
This was a fantastic experience! Lucciana was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and engaging. She had vetted all of the places we had food or drink! We had plenty of food, laughs, and learned so much about authentic Mexican food. We all would rate this experience highly and recommend to anyone who wants to learn more, eat delicious food, and walk the center city!
Lucy was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about Mexico City and its food. We went to so many places and tried lots of yummy food. Lucy was very personable and made all feel like we were friends going out to eat!
Everything was amazing. The food was great and we loved Luciana as a guide! This is a very good way of discovering the Centro Historico
My tour was fantastic, so many good restaurant choices and I learned a lot of the history of Mexico City. I definitely got my money’s worth on this tour.
This tour was amazing! Great food, history, culture and knowledgeable guide! Yael was really good at sharing his passion for the culture and food. We visited more than 5 food spots and he described the culture and history of the dishes and his personal story with them, made it all the more meaningful! I highly recommend this tour!
Come hungry Wonderful walk around Historic centre eating where the locals eat Funny friendly guide Diago
This 'Heritage on a Plate' food tour was amazing. David, the tour guide, did an excellent job taking me to fantastic food spots and letting me sample incredible dishes. I have to say, he's one of the best tour guides I've had, and I've been on many tours throughout my travels. I ate everything that was offered and enjoyed every bite. This tour is so much fun and a must-do when in Mexico City.
Wonderful experience with David, I was the only one that day so got a private tour. He was such an extraordinary guide and we went to so many amazing places to eat. Highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful food tour! I had done a lot of research of the best tacos in CDMX and this tour took us to several of them! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the meeting point was not super clear and could’ve used more details about exactly where the guide was standing and what he was wearing. I recommend this tour to anyone looking for the less-touristy spots in Mexico City!
Great tour. Would recommend doing it at the beginning of your stay. Lots of local food so, if you do the morning tour, don't have breakfast! The meeting point was very vague - it is just outside the side gates to the cathedral (opposite the flag pole). The guide was great too.
We came looking for a taste of authentic Mexico City, a flavor of the town, and good company. Our guide, David, did not disappoint. He knows the area well and got us right in and out to a lot of interesting places. And a great conversationalist (in English or Spanish). Overall an afternoon well spent. One tip: bring an appetite. Even though the portions at each stop are relatively small, they add up. All good.
We did our tour with Eduardo and it was so much fun! He was super knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had about Mexican food and also local culture. Was a really good way to experience Mexico City and the food was all delicious. Would definitely recommend :)
The food, the touring introduction, the company and the vibe! Everything is great. Definitely recommend it to anyone who loves food and the city touring!
Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience! The tour guide was really knowledgeable and very nice! It was the best way to get to know Mexico City, its culture, and delicious food! Would absolutely recommend it to anybody!
I recently went on my very first food tour, and it was such a fantastic experience! Right in the heart of Mexico City, we skipped the usual touristy spots and dove straight into the places where locals actually eat. We got to sip on fresh juices and enjoy popsicles made from exotic fruits, and we tried all kinds of delicious corn tortilla dishes—tlacoyos, tacos de canasta, quesadillas, tacos al pastor, and tacos de cabeza. Honestly, the taco al pastor stole my heart! Our guide was super friendly, down-to-earth, and had the best sense of humor, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I had a great time on the Historic Centre food tour of Mexico City! We had a lovely guide, Eduardo, who took us to some amazing places that I’d never have noticed on my own. We were SO full by the end of the tour and really enjoyed hearing his recommendations and trying some things I may never have, if it weren’t for this tour. Such a lovely day! I recommend to anyone! 🥰
No, very disappointed. Small portion and lukewarm meat.
