TOUR OF MEXICO CITY CENTER AND ZOCALO We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of the Zócalo and Torre Latinoamericana with Alexa. Alexa is an exceptionally knowledgeable guide, and her English is excellent. She provided a comprehensive and engaging introduction to the historic heart of Mexico City, helping us understand not only the significance of the Zócalo itself but also the many layers of history that have shaped this remarkable area over the centuries. As we walked through the city center, Alexa pointed out numerous sites of historical and cultural importance, explaining how they fit into the broader story of Mexico City’s development. Her ability to connect events, places, and people made the history come alive and gave us a much deeper appreciation for the area than we would have gained exploring on our own. We especially appreciated her flexibility and professionalism. She thoughtfully adapted the route to accommodate local circumstances, including closures related to preparations for the upcoming World Cup, while ensuring that we still experienced all of the highlights. The tour was very well paced and kept both adults and teenagers engaged throughout. The evening concluded with a visit to the Torre Latinoamericana, where we enjoyed spectacular nighttime views of Mexico City. Seeing the city illuminated from above was the perfect ending to an excellent tour. Alexa combines historical knowledge, clear communication, and genuine enthusiasm in a way that makes learning enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a deeper understanding of Mexico City’s history and culture.

Great tour guides ( Alexis and leonardo ) Time management was perfect. They were respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
We had a wonderful tour… with a fantastic tour guide. She showed us great sites and we finished at the Torrre Latino.
1st This was our 1st tour in CDMX called to reschedule since it was raining no answer or unable to leave a message. 2nd it rained that day and we where waiting 30 minutes prior time and no one showed up to pick us up. we waited 30 minutes after the scheduled time so we left. 3rd I called both numbers to communicate if tour was on and no one ever answered my calls. very poor service for no one to answer my calls or for them to call me to communicate what the man was wearing to locate him or if he had a sign nothing.
We enjoyed our nighttime walk and really appreciated the sights and sounds of the heart of Mexico City. Carlos was an informative guide who worked hard to keep both language groups engaged!
Our second booking with Amigo tours and our second time getting Alexa — she is the best!! Not only does she carry photos, a whiteboard, historical info galore, she is the most inventive & hilarious storyteller with the most delightful details. We had a bad thunderstorm JUST as we began but it did not deter her enthusiasm or commitment. We walked through the rain to every location and truly enjoyed her narration. You wont regret the tour anyway but if you get Alexa, consider it a lottery win!
Had a great experience with Bernardo! The history and architecturale information was excellent. Although it was an english tour, it was a nice surprise that he was also fluent in French as we were. Merci beaucoup!
Alberto was amazing! Great detail and personality! Would definitely recommend to a friend. Evening time was perfect because of the weather.
Mario was a great tour guide! He gave us a thorough tour of CDMX downtown and told us a lot of the history. 10/10 would recommend!
The tour was very cool, we went to a very complete historical time-line in one night. Our guide Edwin was super professional and knowledgeable about the places we visited and he was bilingual so other members from US and England could enjoy the tour. We finished our tour at the Latino Tower (additional cost) and that was the cherry on top of our night. The views of the city are amazing! Extra tip: wear confortable shoes, bring water or hot beverage, wear a hooded coat and scarf for Latino Tower.
Very nice, not long tour. Edwin was our guide, he was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the history of the city. He answered to all of our questions and his English was great
I highly recommend this tour we felt safe the whole time and our guide Alexa was amazing very knowledgeable and hospitable the view from top of the tower is very beautiful.
Geovana was soooo great! She told us so much about the history of the city and recommended a ton of great spots around the city. I feel like I learned so much in such a quick tour.
Tour itself it’s good, for the places we visited. guides were terrible, there were two guides a she and a he, they were in a hurry all the time, playing dumb jokes to themselfs, irresponsible and disrespectful, not taking the tour serious. Didn’t even let me take pictures, and at the end just throw me at torre latino without saying a thing. Hated this tour.
Rodrigo was an amazing tour guide. He gave an excellent overview of some of the CDMX landmarks and points of interest - the Zocalo, Bellas Artes, Templo Mayor, Torre Lationamericana, etc. He was extremely knowledgeable and also made sure to ask what we were interested in and wanted to see. The best tour we’ve had in CDMX!
Guai was a good, knowledgeable, friendly guide once we found him at 6:20pm after searching for 25 mins for our tour group. We were the only 2 people on the tour that night so it was very private. He even escorted us to a local restaurant, Cafe Tsuba, for a late dinner after the tour.
Edwin was very knowledgeable about MesoAmerican history and did a a great job of putting it in the context of the Spanish conquest and development of the historic colonial buildings and the modern ones as well. Thank you Edwin. The tour is a great introduction to Central Mexico City. I would recommend doing this on your first day before you get to know the city as a brief introduction. As a two hour tour, it’s not exhausting, and it covers a fair amount of ground without being overwhelming. Seeing everything at night, especially Zócalo plaza lit up, does give different experience and is worthwhile.
Had a very informative tour led by Edwin. He added context to an area I had already visited alone. I had no idea the square was the second biggest in the world!
I showed up at 6. Couldn’t find anyone. Called multiple times. No answer. It was raining so maybe that’s why they didn’t show but at least just answer the phone and tell me
The guide had no contact with me and I ended up not being able to even do the tour. It was a scam. I gave my number on Whatsapp and they had absolutely no contact. I was expected to locate the guide in the middle of a park with hundreds of people and the landmark given was essentially useless
Highly recommend for history nerds. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and answered so many questions. It was a great intro to the history of mexico city, we had a blast. If you're a sucker for views from high rises like I am, the latinamerican tower ticket was a plus!
Nobody showed up, we waited from 5:45pm until 6:18pm. When we contacted the tour guide nobody answered, they then later responded stating we had cancelled the tour, which was not true, if we had cancelled the tour wouldn’t still be active and I wouldn’t be able to write this review. I looked them up on Google and not surprised this company has bad reviews. Very unreliable.
Very informative and neat to see all the hidden history in and around the Zocolo. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Was ok. Probably something I could have done on my own. Brief history of a handful of historic buildings.
Awesome trip done by Alexa. She really knew the Mexico City’s history. Even gave some amazing food recommendations.
Really great tour. Very informative. Jetson was beyond nice and made the experience interesting and fun. We learned a lot.
This was an excellent tour. I enjoyed it immensely. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I will be recommending this tour to anyone I know coming to the area and I definitely take other tours by this company. If you are a solo traveler this is a great way to meet other people.
Our tour guide was Edith — she was friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed walking around the city at night and learning about the history behind these buildings. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and enjoyed myself. Highly recommend!

Our guide was Emanuel with Amigo Tours and he was wonderful! We had a mixed English/Spanish speaking group and he switched between the 2 languages very easily. He was enthusiastic and engaging. It was a great overview for my first night in the city. I was a solo female traveler and I felt safe with the group. Thank you, Emanuel!

Started with Zocalo and Cathedral, moving to Palace Belles Artes, and then monuments in zona rosa area. (Monument of the revolution, and monument of Independence). Chances to take pictures. Tour guide Emmanuel was very knowledgeable.

My guide was Alejandro and he was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and as a solo traveler, I felt safe. By the end of my tour I felt that I truly understood the culture and history of Mexico City. Great tour!

The guide was quite friendly, he answered all the questions, explained in detail the history of the places visited, the truth is that it was a very good experience.
Excellent tour, very well explained. We saw many places and learned a lot about the historic center. And Mexico through time and its influences from the main temple to the present day
The guide was confident in his explanations, interesting visit. The meeting point should not be the back of the tower as it is not a very pleasant point to wait for the start.
Alexa Aguilar is our guide, her personality is very pleasant, she explains the history of the tour very coolly, she is an excellent guide, she interacted a lot with us, we almost became friends
The tour was amazing everything you see is interesting, it is a walking tour but nothing long is done! What I have to highlight is the kindness with which you are treated from minute 1 and that you keep laughing with the guides! Especially me touch gerson and we had a great time apart from not stopping laughing with the , it has been the best excursion of mexico! It's very worth it, I thought it was cheap once we got out of there! Repeat without a doubt!
Alberto an excellent guide, explaining everything in detail, helpful and attentive, super recommended. All very nice
liz is a wonderful person, very documented, cultured and friendly...the tour was excellent and was all very clear
It was a nice experience with RUBEM GUERRA, my guide who showed me very interesting details about Mexican culture especially Mexico City 🇲🇽 I highly recommend your tour 😀
Excellent tour! Very friendly guide. A good tour to start in the history of the city and get to know some of the buildings and main streets
The tour I did with Rodrigo Maya. It was excellent, answered each of my questions with a very interesting story and with the best disposition! Your knowledge and passion for your work are rating
In fact, walking around at night in Tajikistan can be a very dangerous experience. Especially if you're a solo traveler like me, and you feel more dangerous if you're an Asian. But I went with Guide and I was able to walk all over Mexico City like in front of my house. She also had excellent historical knowledge to explain the meaning of every place, and English was excellent. I feel very grateful to have been able to walk the night with her and experience the breathing Mexico City.
Excellent tour and extensive explanations and knowledge of our guide Edwin, we hope to take a tour like this again
DON'T GO. They're gonna STEAL 'em. I've been trying to fix this for weeks! We paid the tur, canceled with MORE than 24 hours and still charged us! Thieves DO NOT BOOK. Shameful scammers who stole our money. There are so many good ones out there, but this company/org is NOT. TOURIST BEWARE.
Very good explanations of the guide, especially the main temple. As a recommendation for groups would be not to separate from the guide and know that it is a walking tour
Excelente la información y bien aprovechado el tiempo. Muy amable y paciente el guía Alejandro. Recomiendo visitar el mirador de la Torre Latinoamericana.
The guide gave us very good information about all the important points. It made the tour enjoyable and interesting.
