We had a wonderful time. Yibran was such a gracious host and we really appreciated him showing and telling us about his favorite spots. A highlight for sure was tasting mezcal with chocolates, and hot chocolate and tamales prepared by his wife Daniela. The price of the tour is more than fair. I’d recommend this tour to a friend, especially if they were staying in the Roma area.

Our guide Yibren is a true local, and you can tell as everyone is saying hello as you walk by! He knows the neighborhood inside and out, and the conversation between stops was as good as the food. We Felt safe and welcome from the first minute and enjoyed meeting the other tourists. We ate at street vendors and restaurants, and he also took us into his home for homemade tamales and hot cocoa made by his wife. That was the highlight for us. We also tasted authentic ancestral mezcal, and local fruits which I wouldn't have found on my own. He warns you at the start you probably should not to try to eat everything or it will be too much. He's right. We didn't need another meal afterward and that was with skipping breakfast to. If you want to learn your way around the neighborhood, eat food you can't get at a typical restaurant, and have a good time doing it, book this tour. Highly recommend.
An incredibly intimate tour with Yibran and his lovely wife Daniela. A true local that grew up and now lives in the area. If I had to sum it up in a word "Authentic". This is the tour for those who are interested in the lives and food spots of locals. Absolutely loved it.
We had a great time on our tour with Yibran! We ate a ton of great food and even got to go to Yibran’s apartment to meet his wife and eat delicious food and drinks that she prepared for us, which was very special. The quality of the food on the tour is excellent!
Truly an amazing experience. It was great experiencing the food of Mexico City through the eyes of a local. Yibran was a fantastic guide, and a great conversationalist. He created a nice, chill atmosphere. And the stop at his house where he and his wife served us a home-cooked meal with a mezcal tasting? Out of this world. I cannot recommend this enough.
Earlier in the day we enjoyed a cycle tour with the same young couple. The best part was being invited into their apartment for food tasting and different types of tequila. You will enjoy this tour and the food. Make sure you are hungry.
This is an absolute must-do tour! The food at each stop was incredible, with generous portions and variety. I loved learning about the different types of dishes and drinks, where they came from, and getting local perspective on the best things to eat. Yibran (our guide) is super knowledgeable, friendly, and fun, and we had a blast walking around the city. The best part is probably the fact that Yibran and Daniela opened their home to us so we could try home cooked food and fresh fruit. It was all delicious and made for a unique and authentic experience. I would absolutely recommend! And come very hungry! It was the only meal we ate all day :)
This was an amazing tour and by far one of the highlights of our trip to CDMX. Yibran brought us to some incredible culinary spots - some street food vendors, some sit-down restaurants. The best food of all was had back at his beautiful home - tamal cooked by his wonderful wife, Daniella. Come hungry, you will have the opportunity to eat six full meals. Thank you Yibran & Daniella for a great experience and the perfect way to round-out our time in CDMX. We look forward to taking Yibran’s bike tour next time we visit your beautiful city!!
This tour far exceeded expectations thanks to our amazing guide, who told us about the region and history of everything we ate, was fun and personal, and even invited us into his lovely home for a homemade meal. The mezcal tasting was very informative and had the highest quality alcohol I’ve probably ever had. Truly, just book this tour and don’t look back, and don’t eat beforehand!
This was one of the best food tours I have ever been on. Our guide took us to so many different places and gave history of the food, owners, and many suggestions. Then he took us to his beautiful wife’s kitchen with homemade tamales, hot chocolate Mexican style and he taught us about Mezcal, let us try 4 different styles. I learned so much from this tour and I’m from Houston where I thought I knew Mexican food. The guide was so personable and it’s obvious he knows so many people and the vibe was super friendly. Come hungry! You will be full.
Great time! Good way to see the city & try some amazing food. Was extra special to go to visit his home & try home cooked food. Thank you!
This was my second time visiting Mexico City and my second tour (I did the bike tour last year) with the fantastic husband and wife team of Yibran and Daniela. Yibran guided us through an outstanding lineup: birria with consommé, fish taco with jalapeño and shrimp (my favorite), a rich cochinita torta, sope with chicken, and more. The highlight came at Yibran and Daniela’s apartment, where we sampled some unique and delicious fruits (mamey, chicozapote, and chirimoya), ate tamal verde con pollo, drink homeade chocolate caliente con leche (both prapred by Daniela, of course), and sampled ancestral mezcals (Maguey Verde, Tobalá, and Espadín) paired with some chocolates. Just me and a kind older couple from Texas made the experience personal, relaxed, and more authentic. Eat, drink, and be merry!
This was by far one of the BEST food tours I've ever taken, and I've been to quite a few! Yibran knows the area very well and is extremely knowledgeable about the local food culture, scene, cuisine, and the best local places! At every stop that we made, he would explain in great detail about the food we were about to have, where it comes from, how it's made, and a plethora of other details. Very informative, educational, but most importantly, delicious! The absolute BEST part about the tour was the home-cooked meal that was carefully made with top quality, local ingredients, and cooked with love and care. You can literally taste the difference! If you're in Mexico City, this tour is a-must!
I had the most amazing food tour with Yibran and his wife Daniela. Honestly it was probably the best food tour I did all year and I do quite a few and have thus become very picky ;) Yibran was super communicative and checked in with me over WhatsApp as soon as I booked, something I appreciated as it was my first time in Mexico City. A day before he told me other people had to cancel and asked if I still wanted to go ahead on the day, again, something I appreciated a lot. On the day, I was truly in for such a feast and he fed me until I basically begged him to stop lol. All stops were truly local and unique, no Michelin-starred tacos insight but proper authentic eateries. A highlight was definitely the meal and the cacao at their home - it felt very special to be invited into their home and get a true insight of how Mexicans live. Both of them are wonderful warm hosts. If you do any food tour in Mexico City - let this be it, you won't regret it!
My friends and I had an amazing time on this tour! It's obvious how much thought Yibran puts into every stop to ensure everyone has fun. I got to try some new specialties and fell in love with one stop so much that we went back the next day. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!
We had such a wonderful time on this food tour. The portions were big, and Yibram and Daniela were able to accommodate the one pescatarian in our group. We enjoyed learning about the food and the places we stopped at. The highlight of the tour was the Tamales and Hot Chocolate stop at their house!
Sooo much food and sooo worth it. It was helpful to not only try different local foods, but learn about the ingredients and process as well. Had 6 stops that were all very different and exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommend!
Where else in the world would a food tour guide with 60+ years of family history in the neighborhood take you to so many amazing hidden gems of both street food and restaurants that you would walk right past on your own in Mexico City and then take you to their own home for a unique fruit tasting, home cooked specialties and libations? Nowhere! "Mi casa es su casa" takes on a new meaning. Do yourself a favor and check availability/reserve as this tour is limited and does fill up due to it's limited and intimate nature. A must!
This food tour with Yibran was the best food tour we've ever done - not only because of the quantity of the food (so much food!) but the quality and variety of the items and the great conversation with Yibran along the way. Not only did he take us to his/his family's favorite spots in the neighborhoods where he grew up, but he took us into his home for some home-cooked tamales and the best hot chocolate ever made by his lovely and gracious wife Daniella! I would recommend this food tour to everyone who wants to try a lot of different types of dishes representing many regions of Mexico while having a fun, easy walk around the Condesa/Roma neighborhoods. Yibran even sent us lots of other suggestions for our remaining days in CDMX. Take this tour and take his advice and DON'T EAT BEFORE YOU GO! There is so much yummy food.
Amazing food tour. Yibran is very knowledgeable of the food scene. He took us to 6 awesome food spots to have a taste of the Mexican culture through food. Every stop that we went wasn’t different experience and I loved the story and history behind each food. I also loved that he and his wife opened their home to us and cook for us as well. If you truly want to experience authentic Mexican food culture then this tour is a no brainier. 100/100. And will do it again ten times over.
What a perfect way to explore parts of CDMX - eating your way through a neighbourhood or two! Yibran has really found some exciting stops and the tour is made extra special by being invited into his home too. He isn't kidding when he says come hungry - the tour is generous and delicious with something unique in every stop. Book now, you won't be disappointed!!
We had a fantastic food tour with Yibran! We tried many different local dishes at street stands, cafes, restaurants and Yibran’s home (thanks Daniela!). All were delicious! Yibran is a great guide and gave us a real insight into not just the food but the life of Mexico City. You will not be hungry!
Our guide Yibran steered us through Roma Norte stopping at various places where meals had been ordered in advance so we never had long to wait for our food. Tacos from different regions prepared in different ways, torta, hot chocolate, soup, tamale, local beer, fruit indigenous to CDMX and special drinks. There were 6 stops including a walk through Mercado Medillin. And the most enjoyable part of the tour was being invited into Yibran & Danielle’s home where we sampled fruits, chocolate beans, mezcal from his private collection and a tamale dish lovingly prepared by Daniella. No other food tour offers such an intimate look inside the life of a local. Yibran was born and raised in this neighborhood so his knowledge of all the restaurants comes first hand. This tour exceeded all expectations, so much good food and great fun! Don’t miss it.
We had an amazing time on the food tour and were absolutely stuffed by the end. It was so fun getting to know Yibran and Daniella, they were excellent guides. One of the stops on this tour is in a market and we were able to pick up spices and some vanilla for our friends and family back home. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to Mexico City!
The food was so delicious! The variety of different dishes and types of stops was perfect. I felt truly immersed in the food scene of Roma Norte. Yibran and Daniela were such amazing hosts! My favorite part of our Mexico City trip was this tour. The food was authentic, and you can really tell that Yibran has put some great thought and effort into each of the food stops that were made.
This food tour was awesome! I loved exploring the neighborhood and trying a variety of local foods. Our guide was very knowledgable of the ingredients and food history.
A wonderful tour and delicious, unique food! Yibran was a great guide and very kind. Thank you so much for having us in your home!
Absolutely fantastic. The guide was super attentive, genuine, has a personal story to tell and thought every detail through well. The food was just spot on and gives a fantastic taste of what really the local food scene for Mexicans (and not for tourists) is all about. Our highlight was to be at the guides and wife’s home which gives you a true off the beaten path feeling. We booked the premium: Mezcal flight which was again very much worth it. We think this was great value for money! (Btw be hungry !)
Yibran was amazing and easy to talk to. Everything he recommended was really tasty and safe to eat. I loved the variety of Mexican cuisines he offered and was impressed that he had many more in a back pocket for those who need more flexibility. Eating in his home was also really nice to see more local, daily life! I would 100% recommend.
This was an amazing way to spend the afternoon. Yibran took us to places with delicious food and was fun to talk with. Everywhere we went was fantastic. Would highly recommend!
This food tour was one of the highlights of my family's trip to Mexico City. Our tour guide, Yibran, was informative, kind, and insightful. He showed us around La Condesa and Roma Norte; all the stops were places he had grown up visiting. Our tour was a little different because the other half of the group had to cancel at the last minute. As a result, Yibran was kind enough to alter the tour to better fit what we desired. We did four food stops, toured a mercado, and ended at his home with a Mezcal and chocolate tasting. His wife also made us delicious tamales and homemade hot chocolate. (The hot chocolate was the best I've ever had!) I highly recommend booking this food tour, especially at the beginning of your trip. Just don't eat a heavy breakfast, and don't make any dinner plans after!
Our tour with Yibran was outstanding! We ate so many amazing foods perfectly paired with just the right drink. The highlight of course was at the end, the most delicious tamale + Mexican hot chocolate with his wife in his home. What a lovely experience that was above and beyond! Thank you Yibran!
Yibran hosted a great tour for me, my wife and grown up kids through Roma, with tastings at the best Street Food vendors, the Market, fun neighborhood restaurants and the highlight - home cooked tamales and a mezcal tasting with his wife Daniela. He is very knowledgeable and gave us a great overview of traditional Mexican foods with places and foods we never would have found on our own. We were full and very happy at the end. Highly recommended!
This walking food tour was no joke! Yibran & his wife curated a well thought out tour of amazing Mexican cuisines to try, originating from various parts of Mexico. To “try” is an understatement though. We literally had 6 meals. We left the tour full for the remainder of the day/night! Every item we ate was different and mucho delicioso. The highlight was being graciously welcomed into his and his wife’s home where they prepared a wonderful meal as one of the food stops. The hot chocolate his mother made us was the best hot chocolate all of us have ever had! We will never taste another cup like it unless we go knocking on their door for another. I highly recommend you book this well priced tour. You won’t regret it!

This was such a good trip. Yibran took us to some lovely and also diverse places! 6/6 stops were special but the most was his home!! Thank you for a glimpse into your life! Loved talking to Yibran and hearing about everything ranging from history of little neighbourhoods in Mexico City to the social and political fabric of the country!!
We had a fantastic time on our food tour! Yibran took us to 6 different locations- some street vendors, some restaurants, and best of all, his home where his wife Daniella cooked tamales and hot chocolate- a nice personal touch! Since Yibran grew up in the Roma area, he knew all the best spots! He was very kind and shared a lot of knowledge about Mexican food and culture. You can tell he really enjoys what he does- it felt more like hanging out with a friend than him being on the clock!
I really enjoyed the opportunity to try lots of different food in different places, the guide gave us a lot of good information and background to each of the foods. It was a delight to try the best hot chocolate ever at his home and meet his wife. This is a great way to try different foods and get to know the neighbourhood a little bit
This was such a great tour! I had really wanted to get a feel for the neighborhood, and eating my way through it was a great way to see a lot of Roma (both Norte y Sur). Yibran was so knowledgeable, and shared about the history and cultural importance of the many dishes we sampled. I can't wait to go back and take the other tours he offers!
Yibran took us to eat some of the best food in Roma! We got te eat great food and Yibran gave a lot of information about the food and the foodculture in Mexico. We visited a diversity of restaurants and foodstalls, and where so full at the end of the afternoon.
Yibran was an excellent tour guide and gave excellent context to all the different, delicious food that we tried. We stopped at various spots, some street food, some restaurants and Yibrans house, where his wife had prepared some wonderful Tamales and hot chocolate. Safe to say we didn’t have dinner after as it was a lot of food, but all of it excellent! Thank you for a good time!
Yibran and his wife are amazing as tour guides. He took us to the best hidden street food vendors in the neighborhood of Roma. He also took us to his house where his beautiful wife made us tamales and hot chocolate. It was a wonderful experience to walk the streets of Roma! Highly recommend his tour services.
We had such a great tour and were able to try so many authentic foods! We also learned about history and culture. It was a really personal experience and we enjoyed it a lot. I would highly recommend!
The food tour was amazing. Yibran was very friendly and informative. He spoke great English. We tasted different food from some hidden gems in Roma and Condesa. A nice personal touch to the tour was being able to go to his home where we could taste some homemade goodies that his wife Daniella made. Honestly 10/10 tour. Would recommend!
I was very luck to have this tour privately. It was very personal and some of the best street food I've tasted in mexico city. I would highly recommend this food journey to anyone visiting mexico city!
This is the tour for Foodies. Yibran is also a Foodie and takes pride in taking you to legit and authentic Mexico City cafes or street stalls. Yibran’s wife, Daniella welcomed us to their home and prepared dessert and the best chocolate drink you’ll ever find. You want to do this tour!!!
Yibran is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the real Mexico City food scene. A must for foodies. His wife Daniella welcomed us into their home and served us fruit, sweet tamale and REAL Mexican hot chocolate. 5 star+, he’s really a great guy that speaks impeccable English.
This was an amazing experience with lots of tasty foods and drinks. Yibran, our guide, was a very helpful, experienced and knowledgeable professional. He took us to very authentic mexican eateries that we would otherwise never find as tourists. We‘ve had the chance to experience and taste Mexico like a native local which was really special. We even were welcome in his home where his lovely wife treated us to homemade desert and some national drinks. A truly remarkable experience that I highly recommend🥰 use the tours by TourbikeandfoodCDMX and you will get to know Mexico city like a true mexican. Thanks Yibran a ton!!
The tour took us through the streets of Roma neighborhood where we visiteded six spots (including Yibran's apartment) and we sampled a variety of dishes from different regions of the country, so come with a hearty appetite.
A fantastic street food tour of Mexico City that immersed us into local cuisine like nothing we had expected. Our knowledge guide Gibran was raised and lives in those neighborhoods, and brought us to the best places that he and his family used to frequent since he was a young child. From Birria, to fish tacos, to a visit to a splendid local market, and an invitation to his own house, where his lovely wife Daniela prepared and served us delicious hot chocolate and the best tamale I have ever tasted - this tour had it all. Please come hungry because you will fill up guaranteed. Highly recommended.
