Victor was a great guide. They picked us up from the hotel and took us back. The two hour walking tour around the heart of downtown was just enough. Victor was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history with us.

The pick up and return to our VRBO was great. If it's sunny, bring a hat or umbrella. Wear comfortable walking shoes and layered clothes if it is cool in the morning. Our guide, Andrea, was super knowledgeable and detailed. We are glad we had her as our guide.
The tour was perfectly organized - pick up and transfer - perfect! Tour guide was very boring and his English was pretty poor. I consider it waste of money. I was in Mexico City before and had tours around the town. So far this one was the worst.
Roberto was friendly but was not able to provide much information on the history of the city or of the sites we visited. I am not sure if this is because he was not proficient enough in English, or if because he didn’t have enough knowledge (or both). The actual walking tour was only 1.5 hours long because of this. We were very disappointed.
Well organized. Knowledgable and personable guide. Adaptable based on our interest. Perfect for short time available
We had a lovely evening downtown. Our guide was very personable and had interesting information. We saw a few places we would not have seen on our own.
The tour guide, Diego, was really great, he deserves five stars on his own. However, the company seemed very new at this, and was not good to deal with. My tour was on Christmas Eve, and they asked if I wanted to purchase extra time and entry tickets to go into different locations, so I said yes, and then when the tour guide arrived, he let me know that most things were closed early because of the holiday, and that I wouldn’t be able to go into all the places. I said that was fine as long as I got a refund of the money, which he assured me would be no problem, however, while the company said they would give me a refund, they said they were out of money right now, and would have to give it to me when they had more in. It wasn’t until I threatened to make a complaint with Viator that they had the money back to me within a few hours. It’s unfortunate that I can’t give a higher rating for the tour guide, but I would recommend not booking with this company.
Great tour to understand fundamental history of the city. Our tour guide was great. Knowledgeable and answered all questions and gave details. The only thing and not tour fault the cathedral and ruin were blocked by Government for protest.and zocalo was full of market stands that took away the feel of what this site was all about. .
This was an amazing tour of the central city around the square. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our group. The driver was also safe and timely. I’d highly recommend.
Amazing experience great service and would definitely recommend to everyone. Something unique. Drivers are awesome.
We visited numerous sites of our choosing. Diego was very informative & flexible about our schedule. On the way back to the hotel he stopped & purchased us Mexican Bread. It was really good & we felt very spoiled by him. His English was very good & we had no issues with communicating with each other. Please let him know we had a great tour & we appreciate him very much.
Our afternoon with Roberto was my favorite part of Mexico City. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fun to be with and kind. He catered our day to what most interested us. We learned so much and had a great time doing it. He then walked us to a great restaurant where we also had a memorable unique experience and delicious meal. I would whole heartedly recommend him!!
Oscar was incredibly thorough and thoughtful in his explanations. He gave us a real taste of the history of Mexico City. My three children (ages 14, 12, and 10) were engaged the entire 3 hours and loved every second. We have a new appreciation for the history and culture of this beautiful city. Thank you, Oscar!
Oscar absolutely blew us away! The main reason why we originally booked this particular tour was because the areas covered were of interest, and we wanted help with transport to the tour area. Oscar began explaining the history of the Mexica people as soon as we began driving. This was not a generic retelling of main talking points, but had nuance and depth. Each of us in the group had a different level of knowledge (from very little to a decent amount) prior to the tour, but all of us learned so much and enjoyed the tour immensely. There was nothing generic about this tour. Oscar was also such an amazing human being in general. I am seriously going to recommend this tour to all of my friends, and I will for sure come back to Mexico City to take another one of his tours to see different sites. Thank you Oscar!
This was a great walking tour of the historical center of the city led by Oscar , who is fluent in English and very knowledgeable about his city and its history. He was so proud of his nation's and city's heritage and shared his knowledge in a very interesting way as he showed us through the beautiful colonial buildings and the remnants of the ancient ruins of the Aztec city which are now being uncovered and preserved. We really felt like we had learned so much at the end of the tour because Oscar was such a good story teller and so warm and engaging. We felt like we made a friend in our short time with him.
Alexia and Martin were a delight! Lots of great information, very knowledgeable and flexible with the time. Both made sure we were well taken care of.
This tour was amazing! Laila was extremely knowledgeable, sincere, and passionate about the history and culture of Mexico. She prioritized our visits due to the afternoon timing and ensured that we saw all that we needed to see. She also welcomed our many questions and all of our conversations were genuine and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour as a great way to get to know the history, culture, and hidden gems within the historic city center of Mexico City.
Highly recommend Andrew from Epic Journey Mexico. He was so knowledgeable and shared so much information with us. Cannot thank Andrew enough for his patience and making this tour so memorable for us. Thank you Andrew.
Our guides were so awesome! We truly enjoyed the afternoon, learned so much about Mexico City and loved that it was just us and the guides! Definitely recommend!
We had an amazing tour with our guide LAURA! She was just lovely and explained all the important information perfectly to us. We loved the impression we got from CDMX! Laura did a 1000% perfect tour and we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Muchas gracias!!
Loved that tour. Laila was very knowledgable and we got to see different parts of downtown. Pickup was flawless from our hotel in a comfortable car.
Tomas our tour guide was amazing! He very enthusiastically shared his knowledge of the area, took his time walking us around interesting points in the Centro area while explaining the history behind each buildings and shared popular local knowledge of the buildings around us. I also appreciate his humor and wit. It makes the tour very enjoyable. We were actually there when the outgoing President was giving his speech at the Zocalo making the whole area extremely busy and packed. Tomas pivoted very quickly and still managed to show us around without missing a beat. Andrew with Epic Journey was very easy to work with. I appreciate how on top of things they were by sending our ride way earlier so we can beat the crowd from the mass gathering and thankful for their flexibility when we need to change our plans.
Really fun afternoon touring downtown Mexico City. Yordi took us to see all the highlights, was very knowledgeable, and the pace was nice. Highly recommend booking this one.
I started my tour on Sunday with Andrew at the Basilica, he mentioned the private tour of Mexico and sent me all the places we would go and see. We went on Monday and it was just beautiful. Being a solo Traveler I felt comfortable and Andrew is very knowledgeable about the history of Mexico. Definitely recommend the private tour, he also picked me up at my hotel!
I made a last minute reservation to fix my long connection to Mexico. It was all perfect. Friendly and helpful guide
3-hour guided tour, part of which was by vehicle where we were given information about the Church of Jesús Nazareno, the mural of the meeting between Hernán Cortés and Moctezuma and the Latin American tower. Another part of the tour was on foot, starting at the Zócalo and the Government Palace, then we entered the Cathedral, then we visited the models of the Mayor Temple and the Historic Center that are next to the Cathedral and inside the metro station. We walked along Madero Street, where several historical points were explained to us and we finished the tour at the Museum of Fine Arts with an explanation of its construction. Our guide Andrew was very patient and attentive because we were a large group of 11 people with teenagers and one person in a wheelchair, so he was attentive to the group at all times. We took a lot of photos and they gave us a lot of information, so I recommend them 100%.
