The guide Ho was great. Very knowledgeable about the city and the experience felt very local. The food turned out great. Thanks, Ho!

We met Ho and went to the market with him and he did an amazing job not just showing us the market, giving us history of some of the foods and their connection to Mexico. He was very helpful with other vendors when we wanted to purchase certain items. Back at the house we met Valeria and she was equally as amazing. Both of them were very engaging. The kitchen was big enough for everybody not to be bumping into one another, the music was great and the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend this tour to anybody traveling to Mexico City. In addition it wasn’t too long of a tour so we were still able to do other things during the day. Thank you so much.
Wonderful! Private trip (just our family) to local market to buy fresh ingredients with chef, followed by very short walk to private home/kitchen. Chef patiently guided us through preparation of guacamole dip, tortillas and filling for burritos and sauces. All delicious! Chef shared many insights about cooking techniques and culture. Memorable!
The salsa and burrito classes were out of this world. The flexibility and leadership were very important to me. My travel dates changed several times and I was accommodated every step of the way!!
We booked the evening before our private class with Veronica, who greeted us warmly right on time at the meeting place. We weren't super organised so she helped us find an ATM and coffees. The tour of the market was so fun, insightful and beautiful. We then went to Nataliya's awesome apartment to cook and eat. It was such a pleasure to spend time in an authentic neighbourhood and home. Veronica gave us excellent instruction, advice and tips, not only about cooking but also about other activities in CDMX and for our onward travel. This is experience is not to be missed!
The chef and person in charge of the tour is wonderful, friendly and great with kids. We went to the market to buy the food which was fun. Unfortunately, the way the meat is kept is unsafe. At home, we all had a chance to make the meal which was wonderful. Sadly, the potatoes that were prepared to be put inside the burritos were were raw and the meat was very tough and not chewable. I’d recommend the tour but maybe for something simpler like bread.
100% recommend for anyone interested in being amongst the local people. The trip helped us to better understand the day in the life of a local Mexican City citizen. The tour of the market while buying the food was amazing. The cooking was fun for the entire family! We learned a lot and will be able to go back and cook great burritos, salsa and tortillas!
Natalia's burritos class was the highlight of our trip, I loved how we learned the back story about the dish, how to select the best ingredients and the amount needed for the perfect burrito! Burrito night is a weekly thing in our home as the kids love it, the class has inspired us to be more creative in the kitchen and come up with our own versions.
This experience was great. I loved learning how to make burritos from scratch. Natalia is a great host with good knowledge of Mexican gastronomy. I recommend 100% if you are in Mexico City because it is worth it. Now I make my own flour tortillas! 💜💜💜💜💜
Attending the "Learn to Cook Mexican Burritos" session with Chef Natalia was an extraordinary experience that seamlessly blended culinary education with cultural immersion. Chef Natalia’s expertise and passion for Mexican cuisine shone through as she guided us step-by-step in crafting authentic, flavorful burritos. Her engaging teaching style combined with practical tips, made the session both informative and entertaining. The hands-on approach allowed us to master essential techniques, ensuring that even novice cooks (like me) could replicate the delicious recipes at home. This session is a must for anyone looking to enhance their cooking skills and deepen their appreciation for Mexican culinary traditions.
This experience blow your mind with the flavor of the burritos!, the way Natalia gives you the experience is very fun and profesional. She let you know mexican secrets and techniques of cooking!! If you love cooking and know about mexican culture at the same time, this is the experience!
We had so much fun and the food was so fresh and delicious. I'm so glad we did the class. I learned a lot. And the chef was so nice and attentive.
Natalia explained in detail, made the class very enjoyable and fun. It's definitely an experience I could repeat. Thank you for this pleasant experience.
Just book it! By far the highlight of our Mexico City trip. From the Market tour to cooking everything from scratch. Chef Natalia is knowledgable, fun and engaging and the Burritos were delicious.
Natalia is a great host, i totally loved her vibe, also she’s great at keeping us hooked, and the burritos were super tasty!!
This was an experience ill never forget. Its a Must If you are un Mexico City. I learned all i need to make my own burritos at home and it was so fun. The host its a wonderful chef and incredible teacher.
I’ll start off by saying we had Veronica as our guide who was very helpful and friendly. She spoke amazing English and made the evening informative and fun. This is easily the best cooking class I have done. Buying the ingredients from a local market gave a feeling of authenticity you don’t get at other cooking schools. The kitchen / dining room is part of somebody’s house. It was very charming and quaint, making for an intimate and fun night with the 3 other people doing the class. The food was delicious! Would definitely recommend this for people visiting Mexico City looking for a traditional / authentic experience.
We LOVED our experience with Natalia. What began as a whim on our last day turned into one of our favorite experiences in Mexico City. My husband, teenage daughter, and me were lucky enough to have the experience to ourselves. The trip to the market was fun and informative; we enjoyed being immersed in the culture of the neighborhood. Returning to and cooking in Natalia’s charming kitchen was a real joy. She is so personable and easygoing. We learned so much about simple Mexican cooking and made an exquisite meal! If you are thinking about booking- don’t hesitate- you will not regret it!
I highly recommend this course! First, we went to a very local market where we tasted specialities and picked ripe avocados, fresh meat and delicious vegetables for our upcoming meal. This in itself was a very enriching and authentic experience. Natalia is such a nice person, and can answer any questions you might have and tell about the Mexican traditions and cuisine. After the market, we went to Natalia’s super charming apartment to make the burritos. The making of the burritos was very enlightening and teachable, and Natalia send us all the recipes so we are fully prepared for a burrito-night back home. I have to say, the sauce and the guacamole were eminent, and had such good taste. This was one of the best experiences I have had in Mexico City!
This is the authentic experience you talk about doing before going to Mexico, but sometimes seem hard to find. Worth every penny. Knowledgeable, fun and perfect English. 10/10.
This is one of the best cooking classes I’ve ever done. Natalia is a wonderful amazing person and a fabulous chef! We first went to the market, where she taught us how to pick the best ingredients for the burrito — something I’ve never done in any cooking class. So this was super nice! During the class, we learned how to make our own tortilla for the burrito, made an authentic guacamole, a super amazing coriander sauce, and how to roll a burrito. It was all delicious, to say the least. I highly highly recommend!
This was such an amazing experience!!!! Natalia met us at the church which was easy to navigate to & find her. We then walked to the market which was an experience all within itself. I enjoyed seeing all the fresh options available. We then headed to the kitchen where it all went down. We had a small group which gave us a lot of hands on opportunities. Each step of the way was so exciting. The freshness & quality of the food was like nothing else I have yet to experience. AND the best part is I can take my skills & apply them to dinners when I get home. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to have an amazing experience.
It was excellent! We were lucky enough to have the tour for ourselves and we had an awesome time. We got to visit the local market and buy fresh ingredients. She welcomed us to her home and made THE best brisket burritos with fresh tortillas, refrito and guacamole made by us. Also gave us orchata and snacks. She edited the recipe for our dietary restrictions so I definitely recommend this tour (and re take it if I get the chance)!
A week has passed since my cooking class, and I'm still dreaming about the burritos we made with Chef Natalia. She was warm and inviting to host us in her beautiful home, and helped us navigate the Mexico city market with ease. Chef Natalia's teaching style is both clear and distinct. She worked side-by-side with us in the kitchen to show us the correct methods for preparing the dish, and elaborated on ways we could personalize and adapt the method to our own cooking backgrounds and ingredients available back home. I left her kitchen feeling confident that I could recreate the burrito we made together with the added bonus of learning some recipes just by talking to her and learning more about her cooking background. I would come back to Mexico City just so I could take all of her classes and continue to learn from her. Thank you so much for hosting us Chef Natalie. I hope to see you again.
