This was a wonderful experience with Chino our tour guide. From the beginning of the Pyramid tour to ending with Our Lady of Guadalupe. We had an excellent time and met some great people Along the way.

Reviews
Excellent tour by our guide and driver Umberto. Very informative and the sights were beautiful
Guide was knowledgeable and nice The driver did his job the pyramid information was interesting But there’s so much wasted time, especially at the beginning of the tour and at lunch. By the time we reached the cathedral, all we wanted to do is to get out of the tour. A drop off at the cathedral gift shop was ridiculous The cathedral was also closed for mass.So we were not able to go in. We left early because we felt we had had enough and took an uber back to our hotel. Way too many hours spent wandering around and waiting especially at the restaurant It was NOT a well designed tour with the traveler’s best interests in mind Not the guide‘ s fault The tourist traps were unnecessary and a waste of our travel day.
Our guide was awesome, so energetic, friendly, and knowledgeable about all the places we visited. I felt like I was watching a Discovery documentary but was the people in the documentary. We enjoyed the entire experience.
It is better to find out whether the tour is Soley English or not. My husband and I are the only English speaking couple and the rest were all Spanish. Therefore the guide was trying to cater for both. He did his best and his English was very good but we were not told that the tour is going to be bilingual. The other disappointed was, although the tour was listed as 'Guadalupe Shrine and Teotihuacan', we spent 15 minutes in a shop near the Shrine and less than 30 minutes at the Shrine. We stopped at a old monastery/convent for 45 minutes and a lot almost and hour and a half in the arts and jewellery shop at Teotihuacan which was totally unnecessary. These times should have been spent at the Shrine.
The most friendly and exciting historic site tour I have ever taken. The restaurant was pretty decent too.
Our tour guide did not turn up! We have to contact another agency to take us to Teotihuacan. It was a very stressful experience.
The tour guides were amazing! Aaron and Gabriela were outstanding, professional and very friendly, funny and super knowledgeable. The transportation was super comfortable, the buses were pretty new. Mexico is a wonderful place to visit! We did the pyramids, the Guadalupe Shrine and Garibaldi at Night plus Puebla and Cholula. Highly recommended!!!
Very well organized tour. We enjoyed it very much. The lunch provided is very good and lavish but has very limited options for a vegetarian though. Tour guide was very friendly and explained everything in English as well.
Visit to the Our lady of Guadalupe shrine, The tour guide at mexitours Gabriela Morales was excellent, very knowledgeable and did a great job!!! Thank you
This was the worst experience in my life. Our itinerary said 9am, we were waiting for the bus for 45 minutes at their meeting spot & they never picked us up. I call them & they lied to me saying they drove by but we weren’t there. The hotel bellmen said they never showed up either. They sent me on a wild goose chase & never apologized nor tried to make it right.
An awesome tour of Guadalupe, Teotihuacan, The Temple (they’re not pyramids), Local Artist Shops followed by a delightful meal! The tour guide Abarro was awesome and a delightful person. Our group was also a good mix!!
Amazing driver and your guy. Especially tha one at the temples ( better known as pyramids). Just too little time at our Lady of Guadalupe shrine (30 min or less)😞
This trip is great! The guide picked us up from the hotel on time and then we got transferred to our group. Our guide Gabriela was the best. Her English was great and she is very funny. She managed to drive and do the tour in English and in Spanish, we are the only English speakers and she as able to give everyone the same amount of time. No one felt left out.
It was an informative and a great tour. The tour guide was very attentive and considerate. It was worth the money. We all had fun. Thank you so much.
Time in the pyramids was too short and time in the souvenirs store was too long. I recommend only 15 minutes in the store initially, 2 hours in the temple system/ pyramids (instead of just 1h).
This was a wonderful inexpensive tour with a amazing driver and tour a guide Uberto! In Berito was funny wonderful and accommodating answering all of my questions for all the historical places we went. It also came with a lovely Buffay lunch and even my own dancing which was wonderful. I highly recommend this to her company. We booked it through Luis and he was wonderful emailing us and keeping us up-to-date on all of our questions.
This tour was an amazing experience!! The tour guide was amazing and explained us everything that we needed to know. Everything was just very exceptional!! And I really appreciate that the tour guide waited for us at the beginning of the tour because we were running about 20 minutes late. Thank you so much for everything!
The tour was amazing. Although we couldn´t get inside due the pandemic we saw everything from the road. Guadeloupe Shrine Complex was very nice.
With every step, we were reminded of those who lived before us, how they thought, worshipped and behaved. Efforts have obviously been made (especially in the new Basilica) to make these more accessible. Doing more in the old structures is difficult. These should be experienced.
Very disorganized and unprofessional, At the morning, the bus was late for 90 min at the Morning! So we came to the site late.Than, Instead of dropping tourists to see Pyramids they dropped us to the shopping zone for 2 hours... As result, after spending approximately 2 hours there we have left only 2 hours to see The Pyramids! And it was not enough time to claim on the top! Bus wasn't able to find parking spot near so we walk long distance before we come to the actual site entrance. Besides that - No guided tour was provided! Every meeting time assigned was delayed for 15-30 min to wait all group members. And off course not all people come back - some group members detached from a trip after a 1st point decided to use UBER service instead. A lunch was arranged between 4 and 5 PM finally.. After departing from the Pyramids we get to the next point- the Basilica just 15 min before a dusk time, and again (!) instead to visit the Basilica we were dropped to the shopping area for 40 min to buy small gifts to bring in the church to get blessings from a priest. When finally came to the Church it was dark outside - no guided tour provided. The Priest finished his service before our group came to the blessing point. Another promise was broken Never do it again!
Our guide Sergio Toledo was friendly, helpful, and well informed on the history and culture of the site. It was a full day with adios at an artisan collective where there were demonstrations on the carving of obsidian, as well as the extraction and distillation of local distilled Spirits such as tequila. If you buy the all inclusive including lunch, it is served up with gusto and a large and varied buffet restaurant, complete with mariachi band. If you don't book with lunch included, the cost of this Sumptuous Buffet is about $12 us. I highly recommend this tour.
I was a bit skeptical of the tour initially, sometimes tours can be a bit like herding cattle: get off the bus, take a picture, get on the bus onto the next spot, repeat. Thankfully this tour was nothing like that. The tour guide was very knowledgable, the food in the optional included lunch option was very good (something for everyone), and we were not rushed at any of the sites we visited. My only bit of criticism is that I selected the option for the tour to be in English, and it was all in Spanish. I selected the English option for the benefit of my girlfriend. Luckily I speak the language and was able to translate for her, but I feel the tour overlooked that detail or mislabeled it as on option when purchasing.
Good some confusion at the start. Tour group was unsure what to do with English speaking group. Kept saying they were working on it took a while. Lunch was provided meaning they stop and you pay this was misleading. Francisco our tour guide was great even walked us to our hotel.
Great experience. The tour from the city to Teotihuacan with the explanations of the guide Ricardo was a very good preamble of the tour. When you arrive at the archaeological complex you visit an art gallery and enjoy the process of making the pieces, you can taste Mexican spirits and receive a very significant history of the origin and development of Mexican culture. Then the guided tour of the pyramids and the basilica are full of symbolism and important history. Highly recommended!!!
They were very complimentary and organized. They efficiently separated English-speaking foreigners from Spanish-speaking tourists. The bus very comfortable and clean. The times were fulfilled and the guide knew extensively the topics he explained. The driver was cautious when driving the bus and there were no inconveniences during the journey. The only observation is that the guide avoided using the bus toilet and it is known that in Mexico City all public toilets charge them. If used correctly, hygienically and without making depositions, it was not understood why he insisted that they will not use it. Finally, I suggest that you explain the alliances you make well to your clients. Nowhere in the email did he talk about Mexitours. Online contact was with Amigo Tours. Overall it was a successful tour and lived up to expectations.
Excellent service recommended. Great knowledgeable about your culture. Beautiful places and very friendly staff. 10/10 👌
Sincerely considering that getting to Teotihuacan is complicated on its own, it is okay to have a tour that takes you up to the point and back, but beyond that, the tour is not a big deal or at least the one we had. To begin with, you are scheduled at 8.45am (I understand that to leave at 9am or somewhat later if there is an unexpected) but we leave at 9.30am last; this delay then implies that everything is delayed and there is very little time left to see the pyramids and for activities in general. If you add to this that instead of taking advantage of the bus ride to explain things, the (uncertified) guide, as soon as he entered was like 20-30 minutes explaining something that had nothing to do with the enclosure itself (legends of the sun and moon and a pendant he was wearing)... the visiting time is reduced even more. Before the pyramids, they take you to a craft site and it's very cool. The bad thing is that since they didn’t set a time limit, people spent a lot of time watching the craft and shopping (which also takes time away from seeing the pyramids). My recommendation, don't take the food, it's not worth it. Take some food and stay longer in the pyramids while the rest eat (leave through door 3 and arrive in 8 minutes walk to the restaurant where the tour goes). As soon as we arrived at the sanctuary of Guadalupe, we left on our own, as the guide again began to explain things, which if useful or interesting great, but not and which take a lot of time to visit the place (which is not small). In addition to my point of view, he started touching photos and memories that people leave in the image of the virgin and I found it disrespectful. Honestly, I don’t understand where the guide came from, many of the explanations he gave we had the feeling or that they had nothing to do with it, or that he was making up a story. When we told him that we went to the area farthest from the pyramids (away from the door where we entered) because we had been recommended to visit that area, he told us that this area he did not recommend it because there were mercury vapors. If that were true, they would not be open to the public (and the vigilantes would be dead by now). If you’re interested in history, it’s better to find out on your own and read books or search online than to listen to him (I don’t know if this happens with all the guides they have for that tour, but it’s the experience I had).
Teothiacan is beautiful and deserves a visit but the tour left to be desired from the point of view of organization and time management. We left CDMX past 9:30 and instead of going straight to the pyramids pq this was the focus of the tour we stayed turning back until we stopped at a store where we stayed for more than 1 hour. When we arrived at the pyramids we had almost an hour to visit. The guide was very good and knew a lot of the history but did not give time to stay explaining otherwise we would not have time to visit. The same happened in the basilica we had 1h to visit. So for me time management made the experience very bad. If there is a traffic problem, if you have to pass in the local store then the tour start earlier and do not harm the weather in the locations.
It was a pity to reach the temples of Teotihuacan and have to run (literally) to be able to see the whole archaeological area. Then the same thing happened in the Basilica of Guadalupe: running down the steps to get to see everything. The guide did his job well, kindly and sharing interesting facts, but the planning should have been better. We leave almost an hour late, that can happen with traffic in the city, but in that case the time of visits to souvenir businesses and not to the main locations of the trip should have been cut.
The places visited along with the information the guide shared made the tour very interesting, where I learned a little more about the history and culture of my country.
The guide (Aaron) of our tour group lost a member of the group during the visit to the pyramids of Teotihuacan, this due to not communicating correctly what our meeting point was and for his mishandling of the group, although we were only 4 people and wanted to advance the tour without it. So, during the trip to the church and when we arrived at it I don’t speak at all, due to his bad temper and his anger about the incident he didn’t share anything else about the story of the apparition of the Virgin of Guadalupe and as soon as we arrived at the place, I point out “there it is” and that was all he said, rushing to leave the place immediately and apologizing referring to the loss of time during the incident, so we wouldn’t get to see the whole place, and even if this was true, it would have been worth it since it was included in the tour for which we paid and we also hoped that he would provide the information about the place by the guide as part of his job, which didn’t happen due to his low emotional control.
At first everything was fine, but in the pyramids one person from our group was lost for 2 hours. This delayed the whole tour and caused us to change the attitude of our guide by a very bad attitude, from then on he was quite upset and no longer shared additional tourist information. Because of this delay, the visit to the basilica was 5 minutes without even telling us context or history of the basilica. I don't recommend it, very bad management of the group and we were only 4
Everything very beautiful and quiet! They gave us a great experience and were very careful with all of us! I am very grateful!!
The attention of the guide Gabriela was excellent showed us all the places with a good explanation. Very nice everything. The restaurant super rich food
Excellent everything very well coordinated and the best that give you time to take photos and buy subvene the guide excellent very attentive to everything we loved
A traditional and complete tour to know the most famous areas of Mexico City and surroundings🧡 the times were perfect
Everything was excellent 👌, a very good guide, was patient and friendly, and especially friendly at all times explained the whole tour.
It was good the visit to the pyramids and basilica. Only to the restaurant they took us, it was ordered a la carte and they took too long and the food was not delicious.
Actually, I didn’t understand what the added value was of taking this tour instead of doing it on my own. Of the 9 hours it supposedly lasts, one is the tour to Tehotiuacan, then they waste another hour in an obsidian souvenir shop whose prices are exorbitant, and then give just one hour to tour the pyramids, when that is what it takes as a minino or to get to and from the pyramid of Quetzalcoatl. Then, another hour for lunch, an hour's drive to the basilica, but upon arrival they take an hour at another religious souvenir shop, without informing the tourists that that shop is not the official Basilica (plus its prices are higher). Finally, another hour to tour the basilica and then return to the starting point. Actually, it is not worth taking this tour, better find another one or do it on your own and they will do better.
Ballooning is an experience that must be lived whether it is once in a lifetime, excellent service, human quality of equipment, excellent pilot.
Very good driver and guide Aaron. Very prepared and friendly. We would have liked to have stopped at Tatlelolco square as we saw it from the bus. It would also have been nice a little more time in Teotihuacan to tour with more time
The experience of visiting the pyramids was simply amazing! Our guide Pavel was extremely attentive and shared a lot of history and curiosities throughout the tour. The driver Antônio was also perfect, ensuring a quiet and safe ride. Everything was very well organized, making the day even more special. I highly recommend!
A great experience, very good service from start to finish 🙏🏼 all very clear and learned a lot in general in the two tours
Punctuality Aaron our guide was very friendly and explained everything very well. The circuit was carried out according to the contracted Tlatelolco, Teotihuacán and Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe
Excellent experience provided thanks to mexitours my family and I were totally delighted with each of its members from the guide to the people who helped us with the super recommended transport
Excellent guide and each of its members who make up mexitours, super punctual, friendly, my family felt super good and mega safe and reliable, we thoroughly enjoyed the tours and the company, fully recommended.
A spiritual experience where we met several religious beliefs. Excellent service and very friendly guides. Sad because we have few days left in this country and we loved everything.
Magical and Faithful Visit! The Guide and driver, Pavel and Gerardo, respectively, excellent! That company was nice and the tour flawless! Greetings from Tunja and Bogota - Colombia!
