Ana was an excellent tour guide: very professional, friendly, very knowledgeable about her subject and always willing to answer questions. The tour of Coyoacan and the Trostky House and Museum was very enriching and enjoyable. I would highly recommend her!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ana on my Coyoacán walking tour! She was incredibly patient, warm, and knowledgeable, and brought the history of Coyoacán to life with so many interesting stories and examples. I especially loved learning not just about the history, but also about the art, culture, and the important role Coyoacán has played in the history of Mexico. What made the experience even more special was how comfortable and at ease Ana made me feel. This was my first solo trip, and spending time with her made it feel incredibly memorable. She was attentive, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing her knowledge. I absolutely loved my time with Ana and would highly, highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a walking tour in Mexico City. If you’re lucky enough to have Ana as your guide, you’re in for a wonderful experience. Kudos, Ana, and thank you for making my time in Coyoacán so special! ❤️
Alberto Farca Meno was our tour guide (Vibe Tours) for the Casa Roja (Freda Kahlo's family home) and the Leon Trotsky Museum. A few days before, Alberto was our guide for the anthropology museum and the Chapultepec Castle. Alberto is excellent! He knew all of the information by memory and knew how to navigate the narrow streets very well. I highly recommend Alberto to be your tour guide!
Our guide Ana was awesome! Super friendly and very knowledgeable about Coyoacan. She shared details that were impressive and showed a real passion for the history of the community. She did an excellent job of explaining the history of Leon Trotsky and his assassination
Ana’s vast knowledge, pronunciations, and historical accounts made for an intriguing conversation during our stroll visiting various sites. This walking tour with Ana is a must do activity to learn about the Mexican culture and history.
Jorge was an amazing tour guide. We had a lovely tour of Coyoacan learning about the history, ending at Trotsky’s home which was definitely the highlight. Highly recommended!
My Guide,Ana, was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable, we saw a lot of different sites, and I learned a huge amount Would highly recommend the tour and Anna .
Best . Best guide Ana with very deep knowledge of history of old town and Trotsky. I strongly recommend especially if you are interested in Trotsky museum
Tour was very informative. Ana did a great job helping us better understand Mexico City and its original peoples. Also, her knowledge of the local neighborhood was amazing.
We had an absolutely brilliant time on the guided tour of Coyoacán and the Trotsky Museum with Ana. Ana was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us through this beautiful part of Mexico City while keeping us engaged and entertained the whole time. Her knowledge of the area was outstanding — she shared fascinating insights about the buildings, architecture, history, and the people connected to Coyoacán. The visit to the Trotsky Museum was especially interesting and really brought the history to life. Ana’s passion and storytelling made the whole experience memorable. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City who wants to learn more about the area in an engaging and enjoyable way.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Ana takes fascinating facts from history and turns them into gripping stories. The time flew by and we learned so much!
Anna was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. A very interesting and insightful tour with a pleasant person!
An excellent tour with an excellent guide. It was very interesting learning more about Leon Trotsky, the area and the history of the area.
Rodrigo is an excellent tour guide. We got a lot of insides and stories, told in an animated way only a historian can tell. We got elaborate answers to our own questions too. Don’t hesitate to take this tour, it is really worth it!
I was lucky enough to have Ana pretty much to myself for the tour and she is very knowledgeable and made the history of the area fascinating. It was nice to be able to have a real conversation about how the area of Coyocan developed. Since I am not a student of post colonial Mexican history a lot of this was very new to me. The visit to Leon Trotsky’s home and the information about how he was killed was equally fascinating. I was aware of the basic story, but the details I learned were much more interesting. Thank you for a truly informative tour.
An excellent and very interesting tour. Ana is a wonderful tour guide,
Ana was a fantastic guide and we had a great time learning about the area! Highly recommend!
Ana was a very knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed getting to know more of the historical context of Coyocoan. Thanks so much!
Our guide Ana was fantastic. She met as the correct location, providing an overview of the tour and guided us perfectly answering our questions and adding knowledgeable points of interest on the culture, history and all in perfect English. Maybe the best walking tour we ever had! 🙌
Our guide Ana was absolutely fantastic! Her knowledge of the culture, history and neighborhood made the experience so worthwhile. And the discussion of modern Cayoacan added to our feeling of really learning so much on this walking tour!
Rodrigo was a perfect guide, very knowledgable with a great sense of humor. We left the tour with a better understanding of Mexico's history, its complicated relationship with Spain, Frida, Trotsky and more, not to mention a walk through beautiful Coyoacan. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Rodrigo was fantastic. He was easy to understand, humorous and knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing, good way to learn about this district
Ana is one of the best tour guides we found in our 2 week visit to Mexico City and nearby sites. She is very knowledgeable about the history in the area. She is a superb communicator in English, and provides in-depth details in a manner that can be followed and understood.
Knowledgeable and fun guide who really knew the neighborhood. I appreciated her love of Mexico City and the neighborhood.
The tour was amazing. I was alone so it was great. Well informed and friendly!! We your the old party of the city. There was so much info at the Leon Trotsky museum. Super interesting.
Very informative tour highlighting the diverse and unique history of Coyoacán. Tour wandered throughout the neighborhood and our guide Delta was very helpful in connecting various pieces of history.
Excellent guide, knowable, pleasant time talking and walking around Coyoacan attractions. Highly recommended.
Superior!! Covered lots of sights, info: beautiful, historic, amazing. Carefully planned route. Jorge a most excellent guide. Full of info and answers!
Jorge was an excellent tour guide. He made history come alive. He was very attentive to the needs and interests of the group. I highly recommend him!!!
I love walking tours, and this one felt unique! Jorge is incredibly knowledgeable on so many topics. There was no question he couldn’t answer! He’s a great teacher and storyteller, and walking through Coyoacán and being in the spaces we were discussing made history come to life. I especially loved getting to try the fresh, hot tortillas in the market and learning about Frida, Diego, and Trotsky. Jorge’s macro perspective on how politics and religion shaped Mexico was so fascinating and helpful to understanding the country and its relationship to others.
Jorge was an excellent guide - he's knowledgable about many areas of Mexican history and is able to weave it all together through his storytelling. I wish we could have gone with him to his next tour at the Anthropology museum. We'll for sure seek him out next time we're in town!
We loved the tour and our guide Jorge . We got to walk through Coyoacán neighborhood. We specifically liked the Trotsky museum and history behind it. It was as a very unique tour
This was one of the most SPECIAL things we did on our entire trip to Mexico City. Jorge was simply fantastic. We had so much fun and learned an incredible amount about Mexican history, art, and current events. Jorge has endless knowledge, answered any and all of our questions, and was a very enjoyable person to explore with. HIGHLY recommend. On the weekend, there are also great art markets in nearby towns. Tons of great areas to explore by bike. Just great!! I would also add that it is not as essential as you might think to get tickets to the Frida museum (blue house). We skipped it in favor of this tour and have no regrets.
Delta was awesome! She even was flexible with my timeline for the tour. The area is beautiful and Delta knows the area very well. Moreover, she is very personable and cares about your experience. Couldn't imagine a better tour!
An amazing tour. The tour guide, Delta, was so good, and so knowledgeable of the history and local culture of the area. She was very friendly and very helpful. She assisted to recommend local food stalls, helped to order local food specialities, and navigate me through the busy and colourful markets. Because she was able to describe places, and events, with such passion, the history of the area seemed so alive! I’ve travelled around many places the world, including Europe, Asia and North America. She is one of the best tour guides I’ve experienced.
WOW! Jorge was an amazing guide. We are so grateful for every minute of this experience. The tour was an excellent deep dive into the art, history, culture, and local flavor of Coyoacan and all of Mexico City. We were in Mexico City for 8 days and this tour was one of our TOP highlights. Can not recommend enough. Thank you Jorge!!!
For travelers: You can walk through Coyoacan easily on your own, no need to take a guided tour. It‘s a nice vivid area with typical colonial houses, churches, parks, a market where I recommend to have a snack. The house Trotzki used to live in is very interesting, to visit it with a guide makes sense as not everything is described in English. Combine it with a visit to the Frida Kahlo house! For the agency: Delta is a fabulous guide, she is friendly, helpful und can answer almost every question you have.
Our guide Delta was very knowledgeable and full of interesting information. Definitely well worth it!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Delta provided us with a fabulous chance to explore the Coyoacan neighborhood-an absolutely beautiful part of Mexico City. This included the Coyote Fountain, the Iglesias de San Juan Bautista Church and the town hall. She guided us through really interesting parts of the area and provided a lot of information on everywhere we went, including the marketplace where she offered us the chance to try grasshoppers. For me, the highlight was the Trotsky museum. Delta was extremely informative and answered all of the questions we had about his life both prior to his time in Mexico as well as his relocation to the city. It was an amazing way to spend the morning.
Delta was a great guide - I learnt a lot and saw all parts of the area. Would recommend for anyone looking to explore Coyoacán.
Delta was great… hugely informative & knowledgeable. A really good way to get some background & your bearings on Coyocan. A really well thought through tour.
Cute neighborhood walk with lots of historical perspective and stories shared by the guide. We had Delta as our guide and she was very nice and explained a great deal of the region's history.
We had a private tour with Delta. She was an amazing guide. We got to know the neighbourhood and the history of CDMX in depth. Great way to spend two and something hours. Highly recommended!
A truly excellent tour of a fascinating neighbourhood of Mexico City. So much history going back to the conquest. Ending at the Trotsky house was great. Tom M
Our guide Delta was such a clear communicator and had such a command of the history. It was a pleasure!
This tour is a great option if you, like we were, are more interested in the Trotsky museum than the Frida Kahlo museum. Delta was a great guide, providing us a ton of information on the neighborhood‘s history, its people, and its many fun quirks! We also got to try a local delicacy at the Coyoacan market. Highly recommend!
LOVED this guided tour. Coyoacan is a lovely and fascinating area, and of much greater historical importance than we had realized. The strategic importance of the alliance of Cortes with the anti-Mexica peoples of the pueblo, the spectacular churches, the wonderful market, all made Coyoacan one of our favorite spots in this amazing city. We would not have known much of the history and culture if we had not spent a few hours with Delta, whose knowledge and enthusiasm affected us deeply. She put every architectural detail into perspective, and outlined the importance of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo to the history of Coyoacan--while confirming that the Blue House of Kahlo is probably not worth the wait. However, Delta's tour of the Trotsky House Museum conveyed the significance and the drama of Mexico's asylum for Trotsky, the complex story of the attempted and finally successful assassination attempts. She is not only knowledgeable, but deeply concerned with the ongoing issues in freedom of speech, artistic license, and political awareness in Mexico and around the world. And she treated us to some fried grasshoppers in the market :-) A wonderful day that made a deep impression on us.
Rare to have so much fascinating history and culture over different eras covered in such close proximity. Delta was the perfect guide. Great area to hang out once the tour is finished
Delta - my guide was excellent and very knowledgable. She adapts to the questions that you are interested in knowing about.
