This would be the second time I take a tour to these same destinations but with a different company. It was a move private tour with 2 additional people. I wasn't pleased with the way the tour itself is handled I felt like we were being baby sitted by the tour guide. She was super nice I just didn't feel like it was much a guide. Everything was rushed. The first stop was Tlatelolco and it wasn't as emersed as the one I had previously gone on. We literally just stopped outside and viewed the area through the gate. On the second stop which was the pyramids it was super rushed and no time to explore. After that we went to eat to some really expensive restaurant. I didn't like that we were forced to sit with the other people we didn't know. The last stop at the basilica we literally went in and out. No time to go up the hill. The guide also required a picture of all of us multiple times during the tour. That was extremely annoying. I would recommend amigo tours instead.

This was an amazing tour with wonderful knowledge of not only the sites we visited, but also Mexico! Would highly recommend.
A full day with so much history. Knowledgeable host, safe driver, and well timed stops to break up the drive!
Wonderful tour and tour guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was great with the little boy on the tour as well. Patient and kind.
Awesome experience and hotel pick up was a plus. Worth the price. Pleasant and knowledge tour guide.
The tour was absolutely incredible and the price is unbeatable. We were picked up in front of our place and left in the same location, we were admitted to two markets, the Basilica, the Pyramids and the museum, and enjoyed a full three course meal that we could pick between two menu options (veggie options included!). The whole tour lasted from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, from pickup to dropoff. The guide, driver and everyone were so kind and attentive. We were only four adults and my baby, so the group was perfect and they were super attentive to my baby's needs. After the experience, we forgot our bags with souvenirs and they were kind enough to keep it for us and drop it at our place, without accepting a tip. I truly recommend it and would get it again!
Great experience. It was a small group tour and the guide was very good in explaining everything. Highly recommended
Our guide was very knowledgeable. He has a history degree and is very fluent in English and, obviously, Spanish. The tour was evenly divided between English and Spanish and the context switching was seamless. We’ve been on a lot of tours and they all have an obligatory restaurant/gift shop stop. This tour is no different but the food and the shop were higher level. We really enjoyed the whole experience.
México city is a complicated city, traffic is heavy, even they have an excellent city transportation is kind of difficult to do this activities by yourself
Some interesting parts, particularly the pyramids. You need to know you're taken to a big gift shop as part of the trip. Had I known, I would not have bothered. It is a long day, 3-4 hours spent in a small van bus. The team that looked after us was friendly and explained carefully.
The guide was very knowledgeable. Great experience and educational! Highly recommended the tour! Thank you
Well despite the fact that they almost forgot to pick me up (but sent an uber to collect me) and then we had blocked roads on the way back, I thought the tour was pretty good. Tere was a knowledgeable and friendly guide and Eliseo a great driver who knew the back roads to avoid the blockages. The tour is the pyramids was interesting, the lunch not bad and the Basilica also interesting ....good day...recommended.
The main purpose of this trip seemed to be taking us to some tourist tat shop and then taking us back there for a disappointing overpriced lunch. It's a real shame because the sites themselves were really interesting. Would have been great to spend more time at Teotihuacán in particular - barely had time to see the whole site before we were supposed to be leaving it.
I was very excited about and ready to enjoy this tour, as getting the tickets and transportation confirmed was an organized and easy experience. Unfortunately, my friend and I had a pretty lacklustre experience. Our tour guide was brusque, uninterested, and did not seem particularly well informed — several times she’d start explaining something about the sites we visited, then stop saying it would take too long to explain or she couldn’t remember the details. Nearly every stop felt needlessly hurried for a 9 hour tour, as if we were just going to check off a box. This felt especially annoying considering we were given an excessive amount of time to browse at various tourist gift shops or street vendors. She also consistently emphasized that vendors could give us a good price, which seemed confusing until we saw her sending pictures of people’s receipts to someone on WhatsApp — my guess is that she was earning a good commission each time a group member purchased something at the preferred vendor. At the Basilica, we spent about 35 minutes in a gift shop only to be told we could only visit the actual churches for 10 minutes. Many in my group were very upset by this — one couple, à pair that had come all the way from NYC to see these holy sites, had chosen this tour specifically for this stop. When our frustration and desire to stay longer was brought up to our guide, she became very defensive and blamed the timing on the tour company. I can’t speak to the accuracy of that statement, but if that’s true, I wouldn’t recommend this tour at all. However, I think the overall itinerary, communication from the company, and the safety practices of the driver were great, so I suspect that if we had been accompanied by a different guide we would have had a much more satisfying experience.
Well-paced, complete, and culturally fascinating. Our guide was helpful and there were no communication issues. Definitely recommend!
Exceptional! Outstanding!! Charlie and Victor were so awesome from the very first minute at pick up location and throughout the entire tour to our drop off location. Very friendly and courteous! Charlie is very safe in driving and Victor is so friendly and knowledgeable of all the details and history. Everything is just so memorable and outstanding experience.
You can read about it, or look up online, but it's not a true experience until you come here. Each experience is very different
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, fun, and friendly, which made the experience enjoyable. However, we did not appreciate the lengthy stop at a tourist trap—it felt like a waste of time. The lunch stop was also disappointing: overpriced, poor quality, and clearly aimed at tourists. Both stops ran far too long and unfortunately cut short our visit to the Basilica at the end.
The tour guide Rafe was excellent and explained things well. He was well versed in his knowledge of the pyramids.
Great Tour lasted all day long day but good breaks in-between to each site, the restaurant was great the view also was beautiful. The private tour of workshop and pulque was great also
If given the oppurtunity to have buffet lunch at EL Jaguar restaurant after your Pyramid tour Do It. The food is delicious and a fantastic show put on by the staff.
This was a great day trip to take outside of the city! Our guide, Charlie, was excellent. So knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. Highly recommend!!!
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and sweet! My very first time taking a tour and would definitely recommend to maximize the most outta your trip. It’s nice getting transported and having everything planned out for the day. 5 STARS!
5 Stars – Amazing Family Day at the Pyramids We had a fantastic day visiting the pyramids near Mexico City with this tour. The guides were absolutely wonderful—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of fascinating information that really brought the history to life. The pyramids themselves were breathtaking, and seeing them in person was an unforgettable experience. I was with my family, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was the perfect mix of culture, history, and fun. Highly recommended for families or anyone visiting the area!
Way too much time dedicated to shops and repeated group photos - leading to somewhat too little time at the pyramids. Why visit Tlateloco if it's just to jump out for a group photo? And the basilica can be easily reached without a tour - so consider which package/tour you buy.
The tour is very informative and interactive. Any curiosities and of Mexico in general were answered with detailed information. Our guide Teresa and driver Ellis were top notch. Their knowledge, kindness and patience goes unmatched with any tour that we have taken in the past.
Carlos and Eliseo were excellent and the tour was very well organized and interesting. I would recommend it to everyone
Very diverse and interesting experience throughout this tour with a friendly and family ambiance within the group thanks to the guide
The tour was very interesting and we visited several sides. But the best thing about it was our guide Teresa and the driver Alberto! They were really nice and fun and made the tour special!
Tour Guide Was Very Nice and Very Detailed about the tour. Great tour for Families, I would recommend to bring long sleeve shirt and a hat. It gets really hot in the pyramids.
Great driver great guide. And a great experience over all I do recommend the guide and this driver as ther are friendly and safe driver and excelente guide
Good tour! They communicate well prior to pickup and they follow the schedule. Had a great day and a lot of fun with Joaquin, he really knows his history and it’s a great way to experience CDMX. Definitely worth the time!
Pleasant day, good transportation, good itinerary and knowledgeable guide. Even the tourist stop was informative with a lively host who shared information on agave and silver, The optional lunch was also very good.
I was really looking forward to this tour, especially to explore the pyramids, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While our guide was very knowledgeable, far too much time was spent at vendor stops, such as a tequila shop, where we were encouraged to shop. On top of that, multiple group pictures were taken supposedly for promotional purposes, which were awkward and inconvenient. By the time we finally arrived at the pyramids—the main reason I booked this tour—we had less than an hour to see them. We were rushed through the site and didn’t even have time to visit the pyramid museum. If you’re looking for an in-depth experience at the pyramids, I wouldn’t recommend this tour, as it prioritizes shopping stops over actual exploration.
Great experience! Loved the other stops along the way. The tour was closer to 10 hours long, FYI. Booking through viator did not allow the lunch add-on, but that's okay
This experience is truly an all day experience. Rosa Maria and Eliseo were our tour guide and driver. They picked us up in a timely manner from the meeting point. Rosa Maria was very knowledgeable about the history of the site and what we would see along the way. She has a friendly personality and was eager to answer any questions and also spent the time to get to know everyone on the tour. Eliseo was a reliable driver and charismatic as well. The area we stopped for lunch was good for the price. Overall it was a fun experience. Be prepared to walk. My suggestion is comfortable shoes, hats, sunglasses, sun block and water!
Excellent tour , the guide Lolve and driver Eli were great! Very knowledgeable staff and very well managed . Would totally recommend
Carlos and our driver were an amazing team. We really appreciated the information they shared. Very friendly and organized. All the stops were great. Thank you so much!
You will walk a lot and enjoy the sites they are very well explained and the guides and driver had amazing energy
The guide Chris explained well the history. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. The the designations are the best in Mexico City.
The tour was good and was run smoothly. The guide was very knowledgeable, however drop off was supposed to be at the place of pick up. This didn’t happen, the guide dropped me off over 4km from my hotel claiming it was only two blocks away, which as a tourist unfamiliar with the area isn’t the safest situation to be in. The guide claimed the roads were blocked owing to a protest, however this wasn’t the case. One road was blocked but every other street was open and unaffected by traffic. Looking at past reviews it seems this is a common occurrence by this tour company.
Our guide and driver were great, explanations weren’t too detailed however interesting. The reason why I am giving a 4 star review is because in every stop we did, we had to wait the guide at least 20 mins. We easily lost 40 mins waiting and at the Basilica the last stop she was in a hurry and didn’t let us get in the old church and only because I asked we went to see the garden as she mentioned we needed to leave as the tour was over.
Very knowledgeable tour guide and a pleasant day! Highly recommend! Teotihuacan was my favorite part of the tour. Fascinating to learn about the cultures and what remained and what had to be reconstructed.
Teotihuacán really cool but not enough time, Catholic place nice but also not enough time. Main issue is I kept being told to buckle up but there were no seatbelts. That’s kinda unsafe. It was also very cramped transportation
Seriously, the most memorable was our guide Lol. She was knowledgeable, entertaining and just all around personable!
All in all it was a good day, however our guide Teresa was not great. She’d often provide such an extensive back story, we wouldn’t be talking about the site we were visiting and it bored the group. Then when we got to the main attraction, she took us through caves of paintings and didn’t explain anything about Teotihuacan pyramids itself, just sent us for free time. More time explaining the main attraction and give us more time to explore paintings and cathedrals ourselves would have been ideal. We also didn’t depart the city until 0930/40 so we were still on the mini van picking people up for 1.5 hours with the tour operator asking us to swing by and pick up more last minute add on’s. It turned a 8-9 tour, into 10+ hours. The sites themselves were good, but it was also broken up by an expensive lunch which was partly reheated and not delicious, and also various shops which nobody had any interest in. This tour could have been 6-7 hours if it was run better. Making the experience more enjoyable.
The tour was fabulous. Our guide, rafael, was very knowledgeable and had a great deal of energy. The driver, manuel, did an excellent job in Mexico heavy traffic. My only complaint is that you have very poor communication between yourself, the guide, and your clients. Another group went off to the same place, and we had no idea whether anyone was going to come to pick us up. You really need to do better about this. An email or text saying the driver will be at a specific place at a specific time would greatly lessen my anxiety and the other people on the tour.
Incredible trip. Tour guides were so friendly and worked so hard to give us a great experience. They organized the trip so we could enjoy it without rain. 10/10 recommend.
Big Tony and JJ were excellent. Well worth what you pay for. You got to see a large amount of the city and very helpful being bus around.
We had a great time. Our tour guide Carlos was very informative, funny and answered everyone’s questions. Our driver Albert was amazing and kept us safe. Request them, if you can.
