My friend & I used Huapando Travels back in January 2026. We loved the service from David & the Huapango Travel Team so much that we booked a private tour directly with him when we returned in July. If you’re looking forward a tour guide that is knowledgeable, time efficient, & has great vibes look no further! I highly recommend them!

Great guided tour. Our guide is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Took us to all the important city sites. Loved the National Museum of Anthropology. A must go place.
This is my 2nd time booking with David, I contacted him directly and did a tour in Puebla, Oaxaca and CDMX for 5 days. You can contact them directly at +52 55 6620 8163, they create an itinerary for you depending on what you want to explore! The service was private and personalized to our liking. David was very professional and was also super funny which made this trip fun!
David gave a very good and in depth tour, would definitely recommend booking with him. Gave a lot of good recommendations.
If you're looking for a private tour experience that feels less like a guided excursion and more like exploring Mexico City with two incredibly knowledgeable friends, look no further than David and Alex. The six of us had an absolutely spectacular day, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. It started before we even got in the car — they overheard us mentioning we hadn't had enough coffee and immediately detoured to a fantastic coffee shop near our hotel. That small, thoughtful gesture set the tone for the entire day: these guys were paying attention and genuinely invested in making our experience great. From there, we headed out to Teotihuacan, where Alex proved to be a true fountain of knowledge. He wove together history, fascinating stories, myths, and the occasional "not-so-fact" in the most engaging and entertaining way. Never once did it feel like a rehearsed lecture — it was dynamic, fun, and left us wanting to know even more. Between the two of them, David and Alex have a remarkable depth of knowledge about Mexican history and culture that shines throughout the day. We had originally planned to go straight to Xochimilco after Teotihuacan, but we had some extra time and they turned that into a gift. After a conversation about what we enjoy, they recommended a couple of markets in the city first — a perfect call. They took us to an incredible taco spot inside the Mercado San Juan (do not skip this) and then on to the Mercado de Artesanías, where they helped us navigate like locals — making sure we found exactly what we were looking for, always steering us toward something interesting, and ensuring we never got overcharged. Savvy, fun, and completely stress-free. A special shoutout to David, who somehow discovered my husband's love of mezcal and proceeded to introduce him to what felt like every mezcal vendor in the market, resulting in an impressive number of free samples. My husband was delighted. I was amused. 10/10. When traffic to Xochimilco turned out to be brutal, David and Alex pivoted without missing a beat — suggesting an alternative area that turned out to be wonderful. Their flexibility and local know-how saved the afternoon and reminded us that being with great guides means you're in good hands no matter what the day throws at you. As if the day itself wasn't enough, they also sent us off with a whole list of restaurant recommendations for the rest of our trip — thoughtful, personal suggestions that made our remaining days in Mexico City so much richer. If you're visiting Mexico City and want a private tour that's thoughtful, flexible, deeply informed, and genuinely fun, book David and Alex. You won't regret a single moment.

David Espinoza made our Mexico City experience truly exceptional. What began as a planned group tour became a private tour as we were the only ones to sign up. Our trip to Xochimilco evolved into a full-day adventure when we casually mentioned our interest in Teotihuacan—David immediately offered to take us there that same afternoon, demonstrating the flexibility and enthusiasm that defined our entire time with him. His knowledge of both sites was impressive and comprehensive, but what elevated the experience was his gift for storytelling. David didn't just recite historical facts; he wove together the rich tapestry of Mexican culture through vivid anecdotes that brought ancient civilizations and traditions to life. Suddenly, these weren't just archaeological sites or tourist attractions—they became windows into the heart of Mexico's complex and fascinating history. Beyond his expertise, David's personality made the day genuinely enjoyable. He was professional yet warm, funny and engaging without ever being forced or performative. His natural charm created an atmosphere where learning felt effortless and fun rather than like a lecture. What made the experience particularly special was how David shared stories about his own family and upbringing. These personal touches transformed our tour from a transactional service into something much more meaningful—a genuine cultural exchange that gave us insight not just into Mexico's past, but into the lived experiences of its people today. For my two close friends and me, this day with David became the highlight of our five-day trip. If you're looking for someone who can turn a standard tour into an engaging, educational, and deeply personal experience, David is your guide.
We enjoyed our day tour of Mexico City and Teotihuacán archeological sites with tour guides , David and Hector. We had a good time exploring Mexico City early In the morning with the multiple stops to describe historic buildings and the Aztec ruins. The tour continued to Teotihuacan as we climbed the steep steps of the pyramids of the Sun and Moon temples. The temple of feathered serpent and water & fertility was the most fascinating. After a delicious local meal, we went to see the multitudes of pilgrims at the festival of Virgin Mary at the Basilica of Guadalupe. Then we continued a long walk through the quiet neighborhoods of Roma, Zona Rosa and Condesa. We wanted to thank our tour guides, David and Hector on introducing us to the local culture & vibe of Mexico City. This tour was about 8 hours including transportation to and from MEX airport long layover.
Top to bottom 5/5 experience and very reasonably priced for the private catering that the guides established for me. When they heard that I was flying in 5am (well before the tour start time), they moved up the start since I only had a full day layover. During the tour, I had Aeromexico flight delay issues, which David helped handle expertly with both his Spanish and his calm/competent demeanor. He was flexible to extend my tour time on the fly due to my extra time in the city and took me to some spectacular restaurants. I was able to see an amazing amount of the city in ~12 hours, and David's guidance was top-tier alongside his outstanding hospitality. He even brought in 2 specialist colleagues to help out on specific portions of the tour, which was going way above and beyond. I would recommend both Mexico City and David's tour in a heartbeat; it's amazing how much you can see and experience in a limited time! Thank you, David & Hector.
Amazing tour! We saw so much in just one day, and it was definitely worth every minute. David our tour guide made this an incredible experience. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, and took us to all the highlights. One of the best tours I’ve ever taken. We only had a couple of days in Mexico City and we covered everything we wanted to see in just one day. So well organized, never felt rushed but still saw so much.
We had a wonderful time with David on our private tour. We were able to see Teotihuacan and Xochimilco all in the same day. David helped us customize our tour stops. He took us around the pyramids at Teotihuacan and booked us a priate trajinera in Xochimilco. He also took us to lunch at a market where we had the best tostadas. Thanks, David!
We had the best time touring with David! If you are looking for a true local, highly recommend booking with him as he allows you to customize your itinerary which truly enhanced our experience. He was also incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with great recommendations for the remainder of our trip. We absolutely hope to book with him again on any future trips to Mexico. Thanks again, David!
Amazing sights and very friendly guide!! He showed us many different places to shop, eat, and activities to do! 10/10 would recommend this experience!! :)
David was a great driver and guide, and Miguel was very knowledgeable about teotihuacan pyramids and the museum of anthropology Mexico City! The traffic was terrible, but David was very patient and took us to xochillmilco at the end of a long day! He was great!!
We thought we are going to have David as our guide, since we been communicating with him the whole entire time from the booking date. But instead the morning of our tour day David send an independent contractor tour guide (Hugo) to guide and a driver(Edgar) to pick us up from our hotel. Hugo english was very hard to understand and on top of that we got an old sub par vehicle that has terrible suspension problem causing loud squeaky noises throughout the tour. We could not hear what the tour guide are tell us because of the loud, squeaky noisy suspension. There was one time the car hit bottom when it go over a bumpy road too. Since this was a private tour, we start our day early at 7 am. We were not once was offer to take us to breakfast or lunch, until we ask them to take us to a restaurant( La Gruta) for lunch. After our tour we communicated with David what have happen and there was no apology for sending someone else and a poor suspension car. We requested that we want to have a partial of our fee refund to make this right for us. He refuse to give us back part of our fee.
We have been planing on a trip with my girlfriend for a long time, and “día de muertos” was on top of our “to do list”. Once we arrived we were revived by our personal driver who drove us to our hotel, the room was beautiful and specious. We felt like in a Disney movie, all the plans we wanted came true, from the places we wanted to eat to the stores we wanted to visit. We didn’t need to worried about anything, and visiting “dia de muertos” in Mexico was an unlivable experience. I this service for a family trip or visiting Mexico with friends. Thank you for everything, we definitely are coming back.
It was an excellent trip, there were only 4 of us, the tour guide David picked us up punctually, we arrived and were able to visit the Teotihuacan archaeological zone without people, the view was spectacular, he gave us historical information about the place, after visiting the area we went to the La Gruta restaurant, this was not on the itinerary but we asked David to take us. It was also a great experience. I recommend David for your next trip to CDMX.
It was incredible, we were missing places to visit and David and Alex managed to have us visit them all in the same day, the other agencies did not sell the tours separately, they are true tourism professionals in CDMX, if you do not have time or are looking to have flexibility in your tour in CDMX this is the option, if you travel with children they are patient.
Very good tour, David is very attentive and cordial.
With David and Alex, both very kind, and one speaks English, making communication very easy. My advice for visiting Xochimilco is that these two are good guides. The place of Xochimilco is very peaceful, and we need to know whether we want many mariachis or not!!
It’s a tour for those of us who don’t have much time on CDMX to get to know each other as much as possible. You can visit everything that is promised. David really does his best to make the most of the time. With time to make stops to eat and even buy some souvenirs. Excellent disposition, attitude and service. Definitely recommended
Excellent tour and explanation of David. Above all excellent person who cares about his customers even in the smallest detail. A luxury. And definitely when I get back to CDMX I'll go through with the
Excellent Service Overall. Comfortable and practical transport, the guide has a good deal and knowledge, I recommend it.
David and Armando were super helpful: they took us to Teotihuacan as planned, making the visit dynamic and interesting (no visits to the shops required) and then adapted the rest of the day to our needs, accompanying us through the Old Town and Coyoacan. Good and nice!
Excellent Service, our guide David was always on the lookout and took us to places you wouldn't normally visit, I totally recommend it.
Excellent experience, get carried away by a true professional who makes your Trip a fabulous experience. You know more in less time, too bad we met his agency on the last day off, but that forces us to go back to Mexico. Highly recommended.
Mr. David, a very punctual, honest person with a lot of experience in his work, very good experience we had with him
Very happy and grateful With Name Guide David Espinosa He explains very well, he is patient, I RECOMMEND him!! 10/10 in all the places and restaurants to visit. We were a group of 20 people and everything was excellent, no problem. Thanks David you are the best!! Ofelia G. 🙌
David fue increíble! He not only gave us a lot of information, but he was also very friendly. On the way to the sights, he stopped to tell us about the buildings of the city and its history. Although the day of our tour was very rainy, we were able to do everything we wanted. I would definitely book again.
David foi excepcional! Se dedica a fazer o que for melhor pro cliente, e faz o que o cliente quer! Sem palavras! Mostra muito mais do que o proposto! É só pedir e o trânsito deixar !
The service from David our guide was excellent. A complete tour, and enjoyable. Very didactic in its route. I could take many pictures!
I appreciate Huapango Travels, for all its accompaniment on our adventure in Mexico City, it was the maximum experience in Coyoacan and then Xochimilco, food and safe transportation.
Amazing service, excellent service from David, super punctual, fair price. I went with my partner, we could choose the destinations we wanted, Puebla was our choice!
