We went on Halloween and had Damon as our guide and he was fabulous! Extremely knowledgeable and funny! After a great history lesson on Frida we walked coyoacan and sampled many local street foods and markets before entering the casa azul museum Highly recommend
Cristina is an amazing guide and very knowledgeable of Coyoacan and Frida Kahlo! Had a great time exploring this part of Mexico City
Coco was the best, he new his history and was very good on keeping the tour going while still giving us time to take pictures and take in the site!
Learned a lot, quite a bit of walking but gets you into the Frida museum if you did not book your tickets on time. Way more food than I expected!
It was fantastic! Great intro to Coyoacán neighborhood. Maria is a superb guide who was very funny and a great story teller who knows her history inside and out. She’s very engaging and such a delight as a guide. Great experience. Perfect compliment as opposed to going to the Casa Azul only (this was in fact the only we could get tkts to it, and it was EVEN better than expected). So very happy we did. !! Highly recommended.
Cedrela was an excellent tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about Frida Kahlo’s life, as well as her work as an artist and activist. I learned about her contributions to the feminist movement too. She brought us to two different markets for some delicious quesadillas, tostadas, and agua frescas. We also got fresh churros while exploring Jardín Hidalgo. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Frida, while trying some amazing food and learning about Coyoacán. 5 stars for Cedrela!
Jordan was a fun and informative guide through this amazingly beautiful city. We highly recommend him. I mean, come on!😂
Cocó was the absolute best tour guide anyone could ask for - making a trip through a beautiful city even more magical with much needed context, history, and food! If you have a chance to experience Frida Kahlo with this tour, it’s highly recommended.
We had a great experience on this tour. Meg was a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. She had a great energy towards the subject she was delivering to us. Highly recommend this tour.
Sebastian was an excellent guide - so knowledgable, entertaining, efficient! Coyoacan is a beautiful part of the city. Highly recommended.
Rosa was a fun and interesting guide. She explained the area and history very well. And made sure to find shade and seats for the group when possible. The food on the tour was sooo good. She called ahead so the vendors had food ready for us and also gave us a little time to walk around while she obtained food. Rosa was good with children and adults. I highly recommend this tour, learning more about Frida and Diego before going to the museum was so helpful. And La Casa Azul was the least interesting part of the tour, so that tells you how good the rest of the tour was. I would recommend!
Money well spent! Arantza was a really great host.. Amazing neighborhood, a lot of history and culture
Alex was a very kind, gracious, and informative guide! We got to see so much of Coyocan and learn all throughout, and had some great food!
This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Sebastian was exceptional. His knowledge of the local area, its history and culture was fantastic. He has a great sense of humor that adds to the enjoyment of the tour. He explained everything about the life of Frida Kahlo so that by the time we got to visit her house, it all made sense. And the markets and food we visited were wonderful. Can’t recommend this tour, and Sebastian enough.
Informative and entertaining. History of the area was fascinating and learning about Mexico was very cool. I loved the pace of the tour.
My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout the world and enjoy small group tours to introduce us to various cities. This tour was one of the best experiences, primarily because Jordan was our tour guide. Jordan was warm, friendly, entertaining, and a great storyteller. If you want an introduction to Mexico City, this is your tour and Jordan is your tour guide!
Rosa was very knowledgeable and was such a wonderful tour guide. She is passionate about her city and Frida and Diego. Truly enjoyed every minute!
Jordan was a terrific guide - knew so much history and was a fabulous and engaging storyteller. Also great food in the market. Would highly recommend him and the tour! A really great experience!
Oh this was a real treat. I personally booked it cause i wanted to go to Fridas museum and couldn’t get tix in time, but our guide MARIA 😍 oh Mariaaaaaa 😍 took us on a beautiful journey through Coyoacans history including Fridas life. I highly recommend this tour for whoever is a fan or not. Maria with a background in history has so much knowledge, super friendly and created the best time for all of us. On top of that, we tried the best food in the market, yummm 😋 Thank you Maria 💗
Informative and enjoyable. Rolf was great host . We were delayed due to traffic and he was accomodating and positive and made sure we do not miss the start of program. We enjoyed the interactive learning about Frida Kahlo ‘s life.
What a wonderful tour. We were met at little cafe ( bathrooms 10 pesos ). Visited the oldest church in this part of the world and then walked over to the Frida Kahlo Park and learned a lot about her time with Diego. We then walked to a really fun very busy market where we were treated to a variety of delicious burritos. Then, off to a park near another old church where we waited for our guide to run home and get freshly made churros that she brought to us. Then we were led to Frida Kahlo's house/museum where we parted company with our guide and entered immediately at our reserved time. We were on a self tour for this part. Really fun and educational !
Our guide was Arantza. Very knowledgeable and informative about the history of Coyoacan and Frida Kahlo's life. Not a dull moment during the tour.
Meg is the best tour guide - you won’t be disappointed with this one. Perfect balance of history, food, art and culture. Can’t recommended highly enough.
Maya was an amazing guide during out tour. She explained to us many historical stories and narrated the entire life of Frida Kahlo. The tour took us to a few parks and markets where we ate quesadillas, tostadas and churros. In the end she dropped us off at the Frida Kahlo museum where we said our goodbyes. It was a bittersweet moment because we all bonded during the 3 hours we spent together around town. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a full experience of coyoacan.
The experience was absolutely wonderful. Nothing felt rushed and Maria was especially kind to those with special needs and who needed accommodations! We found food and places we wouldn’t have seen or tasted if not for this tour.
This was the perfect tour for us—Sebastián was easygoing, eager to share information about what we saw and more, and his expert knowledge of the area and of Mexico’s history made the walk rich with detail. Plus, the food stops were excellent—-delicious, casual and exactly the types of places that help you get to know a new place better. This tour was a last-minute addition to our time I. CDMX, and we are so glad we lucked out with y’all!
Gabriela was a wonderful guide. Her intro Kahlo was excellent. A nice balance of eating at markets and seeing the sites.
This tour was excellent. Our guide was a great storyteller and really brought Frida alive. The stops were all worth the time, and the snacks were fantastic.
Great tour and guide. Rolf was very knowledgeable of the area and history. I would definitely recommend this excursion.
A great experience. Totally worth the time. Our guide Jenny was very knowledgeable and we had an amazing time. .
Jennifer was the perfect host. I knew very little about Frida Kahlo before taking the tour, but Jennifer’s knowledge really brought us into her world as we visited key places that inspired her life. Every aspect of the day was taken care of by Jennifer, allowing us to just relax, knowing we were in very safe hands. The market tour was fun and the food amazing… and there was a lot more than we expected, so be sure to leave room for the yummy churros. The museum visit is at the end of the tour, and all the knowledge Jennifer gave us through the walking tour made that visit all the more special, allowing us to pick up on details of Frida’s life that we would have otherwise missed. This was the perfect way to experience a slice of Mexico City and step into the beautiful history of this place through one its most prominent artists and figures. I highly recommend this experience and am very grateful for the knowledge and passion Jennifer shared with us.
Jordan was fantastic! He’s a great storyteller - hearing him explain the history behind CDMX and Frida’s life was very engaging and he took us through beautiful and meaningful parts of coyoacan. We loved the little bites we enjoyed along the way - he’s very funny and the timing of each part of the tour felt perfect. It was so nice that the museum entrance is included in this tour, and it was the last thing on the itinerary so we were free to roam around at our own pace. 10/10 recommended!!
Jordan was amazingly knowledgeable and told the story of Frida and the area very well. And he was able to bridge the gap between native Mexican people, Frida, and current day thought.
Jen was a great guide, telling us the whole Frida and Diego telenovela. Along the way, we saw the sights and had great food. Highly recommend.
Diego was terrific. Great time visiting Coyoacán and the museum. We decided to do this because the Frieda Kahlo museum was sold out during our trip- but this tour added so much to our experience. We loved seeing the streets where she walked and get a better understanding of the cultural context of her day to day life. We recommend this experience, a great way to see Coyoacán!
This was the first tour I did on my solo trip to CDMX. Cedrela was our guide and she sent prompt and detailed instructions the day before on where to meet which was super easy to get to and identify the group. She was very detailed in her historical facts of not only Frida but the demographic of the area to really ground the tour. She was truly so kind and patient with the group as well. She even made note I had a reservation and sent me my museum ticket in case I wanted to go ahead. We did go over the alotted time so just be cautious of any plans you may have after as we got to the Museo closer to 2pm and the tour began at 1030. This is also a great deal - you will get some yummy bites and beverages in addition to access to the museum plus multiple bathroom stops throughout. Don’t hesitate to book!
This was such a great walking tour filled knowledge and amazing local food. I would highly recommend this walking tour!
To be honest we only bought this tour because it was the only way we could get tickets to La Casa Azul and I am so happy that it was! The tour covered a ton of Coyoacán, the history of the area, and of course a deep dive into Frida and Diego. There was more food than we were expecting which was a nice surprise. Daniella was absolutely great! Even when dealing with a particularly needy group member she handled it like an absolute pro. There is a strict entrance time at Casa Azul, but you can stay as long as you want which my wife very much enjoyed. We stayed about an hour which was plenty of time to not only see everything but to sit and relax and really take it all in. The tour was a 10/10. Would highly recommend it to my friends and if you're lucky you'll get Daniella as your guide as well!
Our tour guide, Atahualpa (Ata), greeted us promptly upon arrival at the designated meeting place, which was a coffee shop. We were a small group of 6. Once all of us were there, the tour started. Ata is a wonderful guide and is very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour started with the history of Mexico City and surrounding Coyoacán. We walked through some beautiful parks and neighborhoods as he explained the rich history of Mexico. Along the way we had quesadillas made of fresh corn masa, cheese and your choice of huitlacoche, chicharron or veggies. This was followed by your choice of freshly made tostadas in the market and agua fresca. We also had hot churros. The final part of the tour was regarding the life of Frida and Diego, ending at the Frida Blue House Museum where we were left to explore at our own pace. It was great to have VIP passes and skip the line as soon as we arrived. This tour is a must and worth every penny. If you are lucky enough to get Ata as a guide, Even Better!
Awesome experience. Great information and great food and locations. Highly reccomend! Daniela was awesome! My only recommendation as an add on is perhaps learn more about the churro history? We had a great time! Thank you!
Our guide was amazing! She had so much knowledge about the history and of Frida’s story. She took us to the best places for food, especially the churros. It was the perfect way to spend a morning and one of the highlights of our trip! Thank you.
This was a fabulous experience. Our guide, Jordan, was perfect. Knowledgeable and funny. We learned so much about Coyoacán, as well as about Frida Kahlo. The information made the tour of her home so much more interesting and meaningful. Additionally, the quesadillas, tostados and churros were delicious. If you are considering this tour, do it and hope Jordan is your guide. You won’t be sorry.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Rolf is informative and knows so much about Coyoacàn and Frida. We learned a ton and loved all of the history and stories he shared. The snacks we stopped for were delicious as well. Highly recommend.
The tour was well-organized and covered history, art, culture and the food of Coyoacan. The guide as excellent and keep the conversation lively and fun.
Cristina was excellent! She is very knowledgeable; connecting art, history and the neighborhood. We had churros, quesadillas, tostadas, local fruits and agua frescas. Then when we got to the museum we cut the line. Cristina took good care of us crossing the street and always pointed out the bathrooms along the tour. 12 out of 10 do recommend!
Our walking tour was fabulous! Jordan, our guide was amazing! He was very engaging, knowledgeable, passionate and humorous and we learnt a lot! The neighbourhood is so interesting and we enjoyed the tacos, churros, tostado and drink and specifically liked the markets and being amongst the locals! It was great to skip the line at the Frida Kahlo Museum! 10/10. Highly recommendable! Many thanks, Janet & Marion
Amazing! Jenny was very friendly and she told stories and shared a lot of suggestions about the city. Additionally, she was very kind and provided amazing snacks.
Exactly what we wanted for a culinary experience with cultural education. Xochimilco's finest for sure. The Owner Miraslov sent a taxi to our hotel (somehow Viator bumbled the communication to her) but she handled it like a pro! She met us at the docks and while we did not have the market tour that was not a must for us. We joined a lovely group on our trajinera and her assistant Jesus was phenomenal! We literally cut and prepared our tamale dish and cooked on a barbecue while we were paddled in the Aztecan canals. She told us so much historical context and her pride of Xochimilcocame through. One Aguas refresca included but another boat pulled up to sell us more beverages. Just a memorable calm time.
Daniela was an exceptional tour guide. She was knowledgeable and made our trip to the Frida Khalo museum and Coyoacan 1000x more interesting. And her English was so good I thought she was American for most of the tour. This meant I could understand everything she said and had an easy time asking follow up questions. Very glad we did this tour with Daniela.
