My friends and I went on the “Sabores de la ciudad de México” tour, and it was a wonderful and delicious experience. I highly recommend it 🌮😍

This tour was great and we tried some yummy food! Our tour guide, Mariana, was super nice and cool. She also knew a lot about the history of Mexico City and the places we visited. I super recommend this tour. This is the second time I do a food tour and I feel like it’s super worth it.
Luis was a very accommodating guide, with a broad range of knowledge that made us feel in the know. It was as much a tour of Mexico City as its food. (Which was also yummy.)
The tour guide Cancelled last minute, avoid like the plague, as this seems to be a regular occurrence for this particular tour.
We had so much fun! Ninelth was a great guide and took us places we never would have been on our own. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!
Paula was fantastic! She was super friendly, patient and helpful. The food was great as well. As others have commented, we never would have found the places we did on our own. Definitely a great experience.
They cancelled the tour 2 hours before the start time. This this is really poor from the tour company as we had planned our trip around it. It’s a shame given their reviews for the actual tour which I’m sure would have got 5 stars.
My wife and I had the Street Food Experience - Downton and had a great time. Paco was our guide and gave us background about each place - a local chain, a couple market stalls, a street vendor, plus a churro stop. He was also very knowledgeable in answering random questions. He knew all the vendors so we could feel the authenticity. We highly recommend this experience.
Ari was an amazing guide and his passion for food and Mexico City was the highlight of our time in CDMX. He took us to many different type of street food stations and took in our input while giving us interesting information not only on the historical parts of Mexico City but local history of neighborhoods and shops that only a local would know. I would recommend this tour with Ari to anyone visiting, just remember to come hungry.
Paola was a fantastic guide. The food was excellent and it was a super way to get to know the city on our first day. I would highly recommend.
An incredible walk around Mexico City’s street food world! We were introduced to several local restauranthosts who let us taste plenty of good food; tacos, churros, insects, cheese, coyos and more. We were also introduced to high quality Mezcal. This was a very entertaining way to learn about local foods! And our new friend (guide) Ari was an incredible nice and pleasant person to be around! Accordingly he was very knowledgeable about Mexico’s history and food history. He took his time to teach us a lot on our way. We will highly recommend his services!
We had a fantastic time with Paola- she was so personable and knowledgeable and very enjoyable to be with. The food places in the tour were clearly hand-picked - we walked past places with more people to eat at a tiny place that we wouldn’t have ever found on our own, that just had FANTASTIC tacos. And all the places were great!! She said we could eat as many as we wanted but even though I paced myself, I still couldn’t finish the last one! Highly recommended - we loved it!!!
Ari was fabulous! He accommodated us unbelievably and took us to the most amazing back street places that we would have never ventured to on our own. I would highly recommend that anyone wanting this tour ask for Ari.
Paco was a wonderful guide. It became clear to my fiancée and I at the beginning, that he knows his food. He's a nice guy, he's engaging, intelligent, and moves the tour along at our pace. Everything tasted great. Authentic, Mexican food in the heart of Mexico City. Sugar skulls, tacos, tlacoyo, churros, chocolate and cheese. If it's a cool, rainy afternoon, the Mezcal will definitely warm you up. And if you're feeling adventurous, there's even crickets. Try 'em out, I promise it's all good. And of course, we're in Mexico City. So there's plenty to see. Blink and you could miss it. Thanks again.
Our Mexico City trip was awesome!! Our tour guide Are was most polite, knowledgeable and most patient. We were able to visit many churches aside from the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe which turned out to be very emotional. The boat tour at the canals was truly special and fun. We learned much of the Mexican traditions, history and culture. Hotel Geneve was extraordinarily beautiful. The rooms were a good size, beds very comfortable and service excellent. Meals - awesome especially the tacos in the street food tour. I finished all 5 of them! Hotel Location - very good! You go down to eat and shop...very convenient and safe. Tour Experience - enjoyable to the max. I think going to the cultural show was great! This should be part of the itinerary or a similar one at least. Are, our guide went out of his way to have a church opened for us to see. That was super of him to ask the priest. Monkey Exprerience accommodated all our reasonable requests being 4 ladies. We asked to pace our tours and they happily accommodated us. Paco Reyes picked us up at the airport upon arrival. He gave us a very warm reception and was very respectful and helpful. He also bade us farewell upon departure. Both Are and Paco were very personable and always smiling. We 4 ladies had so much fun on this tour!! I give you a 10! Thank you for the awesome experience!!
Today we had a wonderful tour of Mexico city with so much food that im glad we skipped breakfast, Ari Flores was a brilliant guide, knowledgeable, and very passionate about the food and places we visited, it was a lovely afternoon spent with him and tasting all the rich varieties of food the country and the city has to offer, even when we were to full to eat Ari gave us lots of recommendations for places to try at our own leisure, i would highly recommend this tour
Thanks to this tour, I was able to understand the food and culture in Mexico. Ari was very knowledgeable, considerate, and has a good sense of humor. He checked my preferences very much in detail and then guided me in various places. In the meantime, he guided and explained important architecture, history, culture, and people. I was able to ask him so many questions I had had during my solo travel time. I had other three tours but that was the best. If I had more days to stay in Mexicocity, I would definitely do this tour again.
My Street Food Experience today was in one word… EXCELLENT! Ari, my kind and knowledgeable guide was waiting for me at the meeting point, and I was early! We set off on our amazing food adventure, visiting local stops in the center of Mexico City. We stopped at a few taco shops, one of the oldest churro shops, a cool shop inside a local market (where I tried crickets with all kinds of different flavorings - yum - I know! I was surprised too!) and all along the way sharing his love and information about his city. I felt like I was hanging out with one of my friends. You could tell that he had relationships with vendors as they were so happy to see him and were incredibly welcoming to me. This was a great tour and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone visiting this amazing city! Thanks Ari!
Ari was the best tour guide we could ask for. He made the whole tour amazing and was very personable. Everything he recommended was beyond delicious. I highly recommend him as your guide! Be prepared to eat!
I was with my mom who was visiting CDMX for her first time and this was a beautiful crash course for her to learn this place, its rich culture, and the delicious food spots! Our tour guide was Paco and he did not disappoint! He went above and beyond detailing stories about places we walked past including tales of the saints, the Aztec traditions, and really showing us places I would never have visited or learned about on my own. We went to some historic spots and ate so many yummy tacos, the BEST churro i've ever had, and tried a delicious mezcal along the way. I highly recommend, just takes in you deeper to the heart of Mexico. Wear comfy shoes, a lot of walking!
This was such a good way to explore the city with a local and visit places I wouldn't normally be able to go as a solo female traveler. The food was great, I got to explore new flaovors with my tastes taken into consideration, and I had plenty to take back to the hotel and eat later! I was stuffed!! My guide for the afternoon was Henry who was fantastic!! He was happy to answer all my questions and share insights into life in Mexico city.. everyone we met was friendly and he had great rapport with all the restaurant and market staff which made the day more entertaining
Our experience tour was cancelled in the morning of the tour so we had to rearrange our itinerary and rebook tours so that was disappointing. We are rescheduled for Tuesday.
I truly enjoyed both the food and historical background of Mexico and it’s people with Paco. In between food stops, I learned so much about the city and was even able to cross off a few “must see” places along the way. It’s hard to pick one thing, but the Dulceria de Celaya was a truly a gem that I would have missed otherwise. This tour was one of the standouts of my trip.
A great tour through the Centro neighborhood. Our tour guide, Belen, was knowledgeable and adorable. A great way to experience local food at places the locals frequent. I definitely recommend.
Fantastic tour! Our tour guide was Belen and she made the tour so much fun!! We visited La Merced and saw all kinds of exotic meats and got to try some mescal and crickets!! Then on to a taqueria with delicious tacos, followed by a visit to the oldest candy store in Mexico City. But that wasn’t the end of it! We tried tacos made with blue corn from a street taco place and ended our tour on a roof top bar (with amazing views) for a tequila and mescal tasting. We were completely stuffed and happy by the end of it.
Did the walking tour and street food tour in the same day with Belen! She was an amazing guide with lots of enthusiasm and was great to talk to. She found common connections with every participant and really listened to their questions to give thoughtful answers and explanations. It really made a big difference compared to guides who maybe follow a script too closely - a sign of an experienced guide! The tour complimented everything else we did on our trip and we tried some foods that were brand new to us - all incredibly delicious. Couldn't recommend enough! My tip would be that if your team are not big eaters, let the guide know in advance for smaller portions to not get too full along the way!
Eduardo was very informative and still showed us a great time despite many places being closed for Revolution Day.
We had a top notch Street Food tour experience with Eduardo this afternoon. We have lived in Mexico for 18 years, taken a lot of tours and eaten thousands of tacos yet still we managed to learn quite a bit during our excursion. We had a great variety of tacos, some of the best churros I have ever had and a sampling of sweets from the oldest confectionery shop in Mexico. The highlight of the tour was a stroll through the Mercado where we sampled mezcal with sal de guísanos and chapulines. The end of the day found us on a rooftop overlooking the Templo Mayor ruins and sipping more mezcal. It was a great day and Eduardo was an engaging and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended!
Couldn’t love this tour more. Edwardo was incredible. Time was not an issue, he took the time needed to show the food and the city. Food options were great and the places shown were places I went back to in following days.
The Street Food Experience was incredible - aside from taking us to some excellent spots, Paco was highly knowledgeable about the culture and history of Mexico City. He was so generous with his time and helped us understand the city. All food stops were delicious, with the tlacoyos and fish tacos a favourite. The mezcal tasting was a real treat too. I can’t thank Paco enough for the afternoon - definitely don’t miss this experience!
We loved the walking tour of the historical center with Paco. He was a great guide and we saw a lot. A great way to get your bearings in a new city. We also did the street food tour which was great - a good way to see which vendors you can trust and go back to! Eduardo showed us some great hidden gems.
Eduardo was our guide and he is so friendly and genuinely concerned that you will enjoy your time and your food experience. At most of the stops he gave us choices along with the special stories of the food. These tours are a must to any new location such as it was for us in Mx City! Oh and on the way we made two new friends in our tour partners. It's so great all the way around!
Belen gave us a fantastic tour of the historico centro. An array of information about the history, the architecture, the food and much much more! Thoroughly enjoyable and would recommend it very highly!
We experienced the Street Food Experience in Mid May. We were a very small group. Of the 4 tours I took in CDMX this was the least informative. Our guide was very nice, but not very dynamic. The street vendors we visited/ate at seemed no better than the many other street food vendors I visited on my own. I did not feel after the tour that I knew much more about food choices than before I took the tour. This one is a skip.
We did the street food experience and the walking tour with Luis. Excellent introduction to Mexico city and a great start to the holiday!
A truly authentic Mexican experience where you learn a ton about much more than food alone: culture, society, history… Luis was an exquisite host that went above and beyond to make sure this food tour was unforgettable. Muchas gracias!
Belen was very knowledgeable about the history of Mexico. She also has a great sense of humor and was very pleasant to be around! Interesting food and great experience overall. Thank you!
I had a really great time doing both the walking tour with Luis and the street food experience with Belen. They are both passionate about what they are doing and create a really positive atmosphere. I couldn't have picked a better way to spend my first 2 days in Mexico. Learned a lot about the history, culture and food and saw places I absolutely would have missed otherwise!
Our guide was amazing!! Really took the time to thoroughly explain different types of foods & drinks and was extremely patient with the group!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Belen was my tour guide and she did a wonderful job explaining the history of Mexico City and guiding me through the streets of downtown. She gave me awesome recommendations for a sweets place, traditional tacos, and coffee with an amazing view! Overall great experience, 10/10 would recommend!
This tour is the perfect way to see and learn about the history of Mexico City! Paco was one of the best tour guides I have come across. He had us laughing the whole way and was also kind enough to point out (ahem) THE BEST FISH TACO I'VE EVER HAD! There are so many things to see whilst you are in Mexico City so why not spend it with a local who is so passionate about his city that he just had to share his wealth of knowledge with us. I cannot recommend these guys high enough.
Pacos was a great guide..we went with him on MX City Old Downtown tour..He was very kind, had answer to every our courious question ;) His historical knowledge are amazing. His english is very big additional value. He showed us how to choose the right tacos, we tasted 2 types of mezcals with him. We were very satisfied with him and we will go with him definitely on other tour! Big thank you Pacos :)
We did the "free" walking tour and it was one of the best tours we have been on. Great explanation of the rich history of this fascinating city. Many questions answered. We were the only 2 to show up so we skipped the church (services were being held) and visited some murals. Thank you so much! Would highly recommend this tour. Luis was easy to hang out with and talk to. We went back to eat at the recommended taco place. It was wonderful! A tip is recommended. Generally about 200+ pesos per person. Well worth it.
Vanne was the Best guide ever ! Love the Experience and she was great:) the tour is 2 Hours and a half but totally worthy (típ well)
Strolling on a bike through beautiful neighbourhoods of Roma and Condesa, with nice stops for tacos in many different typical places and tasting of real mezcal at the end of the excursion.. So good time and lots of infos and curiosities provided by our guide Paco, totally in love with his Mexico :) :) Highly recommended!
This bike and taco tasting tour is a perfect way to see peaceful residential neighborhoods in Mexico City. The city has embraced cycling in recent years, and although there are not many dedicated bike lanes (soon Alcalde?) the traffic in the neighborhoods is getting used to bikes and we had not a single incident in that regard. The taco places selected are a mix of styles and taco types. If you know tourist tacos from the USA, hard shells with ground beef, then forget what you know. These are completely different and much better. The end of the tour includes mezcal tasting: again nothing like Cancun tequila shots. Our guide Paco took good care of us and explained many historical details behind what we saw while pedaling and what we ate and drank.
Amazing. Loved trying the various tacos and other foods at places I wouldn't have thought to visit. The guide was amazing. Plus, the mezcal stop was worth it all!
We were enjoying our walking tour in the old town with Belen so we decided to sign up for a Taco tour in the afternoon with Paco. We loved both and Belen and Paco gave us a new appreciation of the city. Highly recommended.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Paco's Taco tour ... his selection of taquerias for a mix of different types, flavors and areas in La Roma CDMX was outstanding ... including his descriptions of how the different tacos are made from the tortillas to the spices and salsas and core ingredients like pescado, cerdo, chicharon + mind-blowing pina tamal, and al pastor [fish, pork, crispy pork skin + pineapple tamal, and pork pastor] ... it was a tour of Mexican flavors and styles. And being able to travel around on an electric scooter from place to place was teenage fun for me ... my scooter seemed to be supercharged and was very easy to handle. What a total package of enjoyment!!! It shouldn't be missed!!!!!
We enjoyed our (Street) Taco Scooter Tour! Pacco was a great tour guide! He picked the best spots- seriously and knew where to go when certain dishes were served during the week! Not all tacos you can get everyday. Also, awesome English, he even knows American - slang!! The scooters itself were fun and were fully charged so that makes for a pleasant experience! Our first stop we had Marlin and Shrimp tacos... omg amazing! From there we rode around to another authentic place and had tamales with pineapple, mole with corn shells, and then to a few more taco stands eating pork to sheep! We also had a cocktail tasting. It was soooo delicious and I would highly recommend it! We would do it again. :)
